Heartland Hotel Queenstown

The location is fantastic. Easy 5 minute walk to the centre of town.

If you’re in room 603, there’s a swinging door used by all on that level, that is right next to the room. It’s loud and woke me up multiple times when being used. Other than that, no complaints! The location and hotel are great!

We had an amazing view. Room was always cleaned for us daily and everything was so comfy and clean.

The parking is absolutely horrendous.. if you have a car, be aware that it’s a free for all and first in first served with the parking spaces being way too small. Also the breakfast.. probably skip that too.

Outstanding great staff, great rooms, great location

Room was accessed via 3 flights of stairs. No lift. I have arthritis in my knee. It was easier climbing over the balcony to exit. As there was minimal parking the car was on the street and easier to access.

Comfortable bed, good aircon on a cold night. My room was right beside where cars pull up near reception; but they didn't keep me awake.

Could have been better lighting over the work desk. Bathroom door is squeaky, needs some CRC spray

Great location and a warm welcome from staff. The breakfast was good with lots of healthy options.

At times during the night our sleep was disturbed by noise.

Please take a look at the blankets (not the sheet, the actual blankets). The blanket is so gross, yellow stains all over it. Yes you meant to sleep under the sheet but when you see it you can’t help but feel gross even though there is a clean-ish sheet between you and the stained blanket. The bathroom is cold even with radiator on. Other that that it is ok.

The location is fantastic as the lake and main shopping area is walking distance. The restaurant was very good with nice and tasty breakfast. Ample parking space. Courteous staff. As we have heavy luggage and hotel doesn't have lifts, I requested to change the room to ground floor which was accepted by reception staff and suggested most convenient room for us. For some of the rooms, have great mountain view. From my room window we could see the Queenstown gondola.

Layout of the Hotel is little weird as its built on the hilly land. Just outside the rooms, there were multiple cars parked with limited space to move cars in/out. As no lifts, some rooms are located at really difficult place to access and take luggage to. Considering the room size and hotel layout, the price seems to be overrated.

Lovely renovated room. Very clean. Excellent location with a short walk into town. Lovely view from pur room. Breakfast was delicious. I left my phone charger and the team kept it till I could return later in the week to pick it up.

Would have loved another toilet in the family room but understand these have been renovated and space was small.

No sink or microwave in room. Kind of disappointed by not having a microwave. I understand not having a sink for dishes due to space restrictions but was hoping to be able to clean utensils and dishes before leaving.

Location was excellent, and the room was perfect for a girls trip away.

Our room was located right beside one of the exit doors, so it was pretty noisy with people going in and out.

Great location close to town. Amazing views. Tidy space and comfortable bed. Handy amenities such as restaurant and laundry. Complimentary airport pick up was very handy too.

Important to be aware that it is situated on top of a hill so if walking into town, walk back includes a steep uphill path - wasn’t a problem for us but good for some to know!

Friendly staff. Let us leave our baggage there for the day. Smart rooms and bathrooms.

The rooms are very nicely renovated and decorated, and are very clean and fresh.

The road noise was quiet load inside our room which was right beside the road.

Big and comfy rooms

Steep driveway and parking was really tight. No microwave in the room or a kitchenette but other that it was still suffice.

everything was fantastic. my friend unfortunately had a mishap prior to us arriving (not from skiing) and was on crutches. Whilst we were on the 1st level, we had to go down stairs to access the room. We soon discovered we were very close to the gym and were able to use this exit which made it much easier. The receptionist, bar and restaurant staff were all fabulous

Our heating didn’t work it was turned off outside and nothing said about having to turn it on outside. It said a lake view although there were trees in the way so obviously some rooms don’t have the view of the lake.

Accessibility is amazing! The accomodations is right in the center of the city! Walkable to all the places. The stay is very cozy and comfortable, and has all the amenities required. Highly recommended.

Value for money. Great views from the first floor lakeside room. Location is perfect, 10 minute walk from anything you need.

The location is outstanding and walkable distance to everything in town.

When we arrived after 2pm our room still wasn’t ready and we had a reservation at 3pm in town so we were a wee bit rushed to get ready as we had to wait for room to be ready due to short staff.

The room was well equiped. Towels, iron, hair dryer even a shower cap. Plenty of pillows, double beds and spacious. Heated towel rails were nice too. Daily housekeeping was also great. Location from the lake, restaurants, bus stops was great. It was easy to checkout as well, I just called the reception to inform them I was leaving and that the keys were left in the room.

Room ( room 122) was 2 floors below ground level from reception. There was no elevator. I asked for a room closer to ground level but was told they were fully booked. Yet for my 2 nights there, the sign outside the property indicated that there was vacancy. This will be challenging for those with mobility issues or have plenty of luggage The room had poor noise insulation, traffic noises from the street, people on the corridors and neighbours. Water drainage noises from the bathroom went on all night. The water pressure in the bathroom was ok but a little weak at times. The mattress next to the bathroom smelt of kerosene/ insecticide.

Location was great, stayed in a lovely chalet style room which was lovely. Very clean and tidy, lots of space and good value for money.

It was a little bit noisy backing onto busy Stanley Street. Drinks in bar were quite expensive.

Such cozy rooms very close to the lake and Queenstown eateries etc. Comfy beds and a lovely view through the trees to the lake: loved the Swiss chalet feel, and special mention for the delicious and accommodating room service and lovely staff.

Tiny gripe is that the blinds in the kitchenette area don’t block light very well.

Spacious comfy room overlooking the lake that had everything we needed! The bedroom and bathroom were clean, there is free parking within the complex and location is within a 5 minute walk to town/shuttle busses for onsen or snow
