Reviewed Jul 15, 2026The location was ideal, it was very easy to get around, with lots of food options and each place was very accommodating. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the people were very patient with my poor Spanish. Rooms and value was worth it. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space.

First I found something in the first room assigned, then they offered me another one, so I moved another room but for my surprise... There was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor and the shower, next to the bed a Coffe mate wrapper. It's a shame because even though the hotel is old, it's nice and they have good service and food. I have the pics but I won't upload them as it's not nice

Reviewed Oct 8, 2025I was not happy I booked two rooms and one room was leaking water 1403 room number had to keep requesting towels my daughter almost fell when u shower water comes from wall area fill the other attached room. My other room 1415 I requested handicap was not at all and ac was not cold at all . We went to pool and no beverages allowed sun after 6pm Also the buffer no special price for senior citizen that is very bad $30 dollars for mom coffee and bread she does not eat almost minting Buffett was not work $30 for breakfast ??

Reviewed Sep 12, 2025Excellent service--there are many staff members around at all times. Always greeting you on arrival and departure. Almost all staff we encountered in our 4-day stay were friendly. Breakfast service in particular was very attentive/friendly, and a delicious meal--however it's a very expensive breakfast so we only ate there once. Plenty of alternative/delicious breakfasts within walking distance. Connected to one mall with food/shopping, and there is another much bigger mall right across the street with tons of stores and great dining. The pool/slide was super fun! Comfy beds. We would hope to stay here again on return visits to MTY.
WiFi did not work in our room the whole time which was major; we were there for work. They offered 3 different networks, none worked among our 4 devices beyond 5-10 minutes intermittently. We had a room with an enclosed patio with high walls, so not much natural light and no view. Our room was clean, but slightly run down--like, the door latch screws were nearly ripped from their holes, some wear/tear, etc. but nothing terrible.

We upgraded to higher floor as the lower room we were in had a poor outlook. The rooms are well equipped and maintained but a little dated for our taste. The lobby and restaurant area were of a high standard.

We waited well over 10 minutes and they were already being attended to when we walked in. What could have taken so long to check them in?

Reviewed Aug 11, 2025After our family’s recent stay at the Safi Royal Luxury Valle, we are truly confused by the reviews criticizing the staff and service and are baffled by the fact that this property is not rated higher! There were numerous staff at the door, front desk and restaurant and we never waited more than a few moments for friendly assistance in both English and Spanish! Upon arriving in our room, we found it to be very warm. We flagged down a housekeeper who could not fix the problem, but she must have notified the front desk because within 5 minutes, a manager and a maintenance person arrived. The silly issue was that our blinds had been left open, allowing the room to get very warm, but the problem was easily solved, and the room remained pleasantly cool the rest of our stay. One morning I dialed “0” to tell them that I had an item to be laundered. Again, less than 5 minutes later, a friendly lady knocked on our door to pick up the item that was returned cleaned by that evening. Twice we ate the hotel’s buffet. Lovely salad bar, several main entrees and the dessert spread was impressive! Again, EXCELLENT service, constantly removing our dirty plates and brining beverages with a smile! We also utilized room service twice, and the food was very delicious! SO MANY options and 24 hours a day!!! Honestly, there are more options on the room service menu than the buffet. And lest we forget about the fitness center (very big with several treadmills with TVs!) and the POOL! OH MY! Lovely spot, plenty of sun loungers (though, thankfully not in direct sunlight all day!) and the waterfall/slide provided lovely ambiance to just relax. Lastly, the location is ideal! VERY safe area with a HUGE mall across the street with many shops our teenager girls had never seen, as well as a more upscale mall attached. Our teens went shopping at the mall across the street several times during our stay. Between both malls, there are plenty of other fun things to do (movie theaters, escape rooms, arcades, golf simulators, you name it!) The ONLY thing that we missed having was a bar with bar stools. Yes, there is a bar and plenty of servers to bring you drinks wherever you are, but as social folks, we would have loved to have a bar to sit at and chat with other travelers. Over all, we cannot wait to return!

Las habitaciones son viejas, el baño por ejemplo quitaron las tinas y la puerta no cerraba y el agua salia hacia la habitación. Los minerales del lavamanos súper duros no se podían abrir o cerrar con facilidad. En dos ocasiones tuve que bajar a solicitar la programación de la llave, porque se desactiva. La regadera en muros con mucho hongo.

Breakfast was good but did not have too much variarety and is expensive. Fortunatelly there is a mall/plaza just in front and there are good options there.

They were not upfront about their pricing and ended up charging me significantly more than other family members who stayed in the exact same type of room during the same time. When I brought it up, the staff had no clear explanation and brushed it off instead of addressing the issue. I expected honesty and consistency, but instead, I felt taken advantage of. It’s frustrating to realize you’re being overcharged while others paid less for the same service. Transparency matters — especially in hospitality — and unfortunately, this hotel failed in that regard. I would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values fairness and clear communication.
