Hilton Vancouver Metrotown

I liked that it was near a major shopping center (although, shopping was not the purpose of my trip). I liked that it was in a safe neighborhood. I noticed many people walking about. Even after dark, there were lone females walking to residences and bus stops. Underground parking was easily accessible and relatively roomy. Staff were exceptional... friendly and very attentive.

The room was exceptionally small. There wasa refrigerator but no microwave in the room. At a total cost of approx. $500 per night, there was no included breakfast. Parking was also an additional cost.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and the breakfast was excellent. Overall, the hotel provided a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

The main downside was the lack of a minibar, and especially the fact that complimentary bottles of drinking water were not replenished.

First impressions of this hotel is a nice clean lobby area and friendly and helpful check in staff. Although not a load of information provided regarding the facilities and Resturants. Executive lounge was grim a small room on the 18th floor with a few dark wood table and chairs. Evening appetisers was offered but only looked once and decided to avoid for the rest of the stay. Soft drinks in the fridge had limited options Location in Metrotown Vacounvour about 10 mins walk from the shy train a MRT station and about 20 mining to Waterfront so good connections . However, so rounding area and a local shoping mall have limited dining options. A BC Liqour store in the mall was handy. Just as well as the hotel Resturant was dark and grim not many options and not a pleasant environment to spend time in, we even started going out from breakfast to a local coffee shop. Decor was very dated and dark room had damage to door and walls. Bathroom was small and dated. In General this hotel need a refurbishment Staff very friendly and helpful. In summary very dated and old fashioned hotel in reality not worth on more that 3 stars and certainly not worth the price. (But is seems average for Vancouver)

Located right beside Crystal Mall and walking distance to Metropolis at Metrotown. Lots of restaurants around. Staffs are friendly and helpful. I guess since this hotel is pretty old, the carpet and decorations do need an upgrade. The room is spacious and clean. Bed and pillows are on the soft side, some people may like it. Over all if are visiting burnaby and need a hotel, this is the one to go.

We recently stayed at the Hilton in Burnaby and also hosted our daughter’s wedding dinner there, and the experience was exceptional. The staff are truly the best, and we want to give a special shout‑out to Erika - catering sales manager who consistently gave us excellent service. We were helped with almost everything, even though we chose to do most of our own decorations and setup. The team was always nearby, ready to assist with anything we needed. All staff went above and beyond our expectations. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making our stay even more enjoyable. The ballroom exceeded our expectations—it was larger than what we thought we needed, giving us plenty of space to create the perfect atmosphere for the celebration. Thank you to Erika and the entire Hilton Burnaby team for making such an important event smooth, memorable, and stress‑free. Highly recommended place. The entire staff not only deserve a standing ovation but also deserve a raise for the excellent experience we had.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the bus and train terminus, plus plenty of nearby restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. On-site parking was also reasonable at CAD 22 per day. I particularly appreciated the Hilton App alerts, which kept me updated on check-in, room selection, and breakfast options. The check-in process itself was fast and friendly. As for the room, it was spacious, had coffee & tea facilities, and featured an incredibly comfortable king bed with luxurious pillows. To top it off, the mountain views were absolutely fantastic!

The hotel is situated in a great location. This part of Burnaby is very clean, and it is a five-minute walk from Metropolis at Metrotown, the SkyTrain, and several parks/green areas if you are travelling with pets. There are many local and chain restaurant options within walking distance. The beds and linens in the room were very comfortable and soft, and there was a great pillow selection on the bed. The list of nice things ends here. Booking and Check-in I booked the room through the hotel’s website. I paid for a High-Floor City View King room, plus an additional $55 pet fee, as I was travelling with my dog. Upon check-in, I was informed by Raj at the front desk that since I was travelling with a pet, they could only give me a room on floors 4, 5, or 6, as those are the pet-friendly floors. He also informed me that they did not have any king-bed rooms on those floors—only rooms with two queen beds. I asked about the price difference between what I paid for and what I was being given and was met with, “We are fully sold out, so I can’t refund you the difference.” He did comp our parking fee and the early check-in fee. I don’t understand the early check-in fee—if the room is ready, why is there a charge to give me the keys a couple of hours early? Upon further questioning, I was informed that high-floor city-view rooms are offered based on availability only. Why are you selling rooms that are not available? Hotel Property and Room The lobby appears to be newly renovated and is fairly spacious and bright. The rooms, however, are old and tired. We stayed in room 606. The sink was semi-clogged, and the toilet seat was old and beat up. The carpet needs a good deep clean. Since we were on a pet-friendly floor, you could tell there was a lot of staining and trapped pet dander in both the hallway carpet and the room. Parking Parking at this location is quite literally the most confusing setup I have ever encountered. It is underground and shared with the mall. Hotel guests are supposed to park in the dark navy stalls, but some dark navy stalls are reserved for Diamond Plus members. There was extremely limited parking upon our return to the hotel around 11 p.m. It felt like we had to descend to the depths of the underground to find a stall. If you have a truck or a larger vehicle, good luck. Some of the turns are extremely sharp and would be very difficult to navigate in anything bigger than a sedan. Overall Probably a 2.5–3 star stay. Fine for one night, but extremely frustrating to have paid for something through the hotel’s booking system only to be told that it didn’t matter what I paid for—this is what I get.

There are 3 Hiltons in Vancouver, BC. Hilton Vancouver Metrotown is located in the Burnaby Metrotown area. Compared with the other 2 Hiltons (one located in downtown, the other in the Vancouver Airport area), the location of Hilton Vancouver Metrotown is a bit less optimized, however, the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown makes up the shortcoming on the location by friendly staffs, a well-stocked executive lounge, and nice happy hour/breakfast options. We stayed at a 2 double room. The room is reasonable sized, clean, well-organized, and facing the Metrotown square. The hotel has a fitness room with a number of treadmills and an outdoor pool (single lap) and hot tub. As the weather is pretty cold, there is nobody in the pool. For guests with executive lounge access, there is a lounge opening from 6am to 8pm which provides soft drinks (bottled water, sodas, and juices). During our stay, the lounge was not open for happy hours, but we are giving vouchers that can be used at the Time & Place restaurant on the 3rd floor for an appetizer and a soft drink (e.g., orange juice). The Time & Place restaurant also serves breakfast with standard offerings, such as potato salad, ham, bacon and sausages, soft boiled eggs, fruits, yogurt, and salad. There are also plenty of cheap eats in the Metrotown shopping mall. Self-parking is available at a cost of 21 CAD. The parking garage is keycard controlled underneath the hotel. This is a good hotel for stay at Vancouver if you are not focused on Vancouver Downtown only.

Somehow, I expected more. Especially with the lounge that came with the room. That place smelled the wet cigarettes and had nothing but things that you would pick up at a gas station. There was no actual coffee in there. It was just some sort of mixture out of the machine. This stay has convinced me I don’t need to bother staying at Hilton again

The location is very convenient, close to the Skytrain station, restaurants and a big shopping mall. Nice walkable neighbourhood. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked the option on the TV to login to streaming apps.

I was disappointed with the quality of service at the hotel restaurant. At first, it wasn't that busy so a wait staff served me fairly quickly. I ordered the special, which was adequate but not exceptional. Then a large group came and the wait staff seemed to have just forgotten about me, while other wait staff just milled around or served other customers. I decided to cancel dessert and just wanted my check. I had to walk up to the hostess to ask for service. The wait staff who eventually came to serve me was cool and abrupt. Not impressed. They should learn to treat customers better.

I should have chosen the Hilton Downtown vs Metrotown for Seattle sightseeing. I was surprised that glassware had to be requested and didn’t see the notice to that effect, and the bottled water in the room was $3. For what we paid, I expected free water and glasses. And the hot tub was broken

Rooms were clean but hallways and other areas need attention. Most of staffs were not very friendly, however housekeeping personnel's were fantastic.

I have been a loyal Diamond Member with Hilton for over four years and have always enjoyed excellent service during my stays. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I had a very negative experience with a front-desk staff member, Raj Srinivas. When I approached him with a simple question about parking in the Diamond section, he was dismissive, interrupted me repeatedly, and did not allow me to explain that I was already a guest at the hotel. Instead of assisting, he was rude and unhelpful. When I asked for his name, he stated it was Raj Srinivas. I informed him I would be reporting his behavior due to the poor service I received, to which he replied that he did not care and that I could report him if I wished. This is the first time I have encountered such unprofessional behavior at a Hilton property, and it left me with a very negative impression. The hotel itself is nice overall, but this interaction made my experience frustrating and disappointing. For the sake of other guests, I would not recommend engaging with this staff member. Frankly, someone with that attitude and lack of professionalism should not be working at the front desk of a Hilton property.

I was charged a $30 early check in fee even though a room was ready. I’ve never encountered such a cash grab. The toilet paper was cheap, I tripled it up and my finger still broke through it, a very unpleasant experience.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Parking options are terrible if you have a large vehicle (over 6'6" if I remember correctly). In that case, the lot is 650m away.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the room is maintained. The room has a good size fridge and microwave. With restaurants nearby, having a microwave in the room is an excellent option.

We returned to the Hilton for the last two nights of our Canada trip. Unfortunately our room was not ready despite us being there at the 4pm check-in time. Long story short, we waited an hour to be given a room. However, after speaking to the manager, we were upgraded to an executive room and offered free breakfast for our stay which was appreciated. I’m not sure what had gone wrong with housekeeping/ the check-in process and why our room/an alternative room wasn’t available so something had obviously gone wrong and the staff member on the desk was not very competent at dealing with the situation. However, we did appreciate the manager’s efforts to make up for whatever had gone wrong. The area around the hotel felt safe and there were a few options for eating out. Easy walk to the Metrotown tube.
