Only thing was the extractor fan in the shower room did not turn off for some reason it was not loud but could do with looking at room 432. Thanks kulwant johal

Welcome at reception and breakfast great. Location, breakfast and refurbished rooms all great too.

Asked reception to use the breakout room on 1/floor to work for a few hours after check out (the other shared spaces have music). Reception slightly reluctantly said yes, but the person looking after the room did not make us feel welcome at all.

The bed is very comfortable. That's undeniable. The staff was suuuuuper polite all the times!

The windows open just a little bit and the rooms don't have any air circulation.

Reception area off putting. Loud music, tv, piles of pot noodles and pringles behind the desk. Not a good first impression. Not easy to hear the receptionist over the music.

El horario del desayuno muy corto se terminaba a las 9:30 am de L-V lo cual me pareció un poco incomodo sobre todo porque yo llegué muy tarde a la ciudad. El baño no funcionaba y tuve que cambiarme de habitación después de haber colgado mi ropa y deshecho maletas lo cual fue bastante incomodo. Al hacer check out me acerque a preguntar a una chica del mostrando si solo dejaba las tarjetas y ella muy grosera y energética dijo yo ahorita no tengo tiempo de responder, debes esperar. Tuve que esperar a que 3 personas hicieran check-in y despues el único chico que estaba en el mostrador se dirigía a ayudar a unas personas con sus maletas y decidí interceptarlo pues comúnmente solo se dejan las tarjetas y listo y justamente el dijo solo deje las tarjetas. Entonces le doy una horrible marca al comportamiento de la señora porque despues de mi se acercaron otras personas y les dijo lo mismo de manera prepotente y sin ninguna disculpa o amabilidad.

Refurbished room was very nice & comfortable. All staff in reception, dining room and cleaners were cheerful, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection of food. Definitely sets you up for the day ahead and well worth the money. The location of the hotel is perfect as only 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes into town center.

A bit more storage in the room would be good as the wardrobe was very small and there are no bedside cabinets or drawers to put clothes and smaller items in. The room was quite warm and stuffy. As there is no AC and we are unable to open the windows, a fan would be helpful to cool the room and circulate the air.

the room was lovely, quite big in fact, everything we could have needed was provided, tea, coffee replenished every day, bar was nice, bar staff friendly, breakfast was included and wow, outstanding! nice choice of hot, cold, cereals, everything!

only 1 thing that was ANNOYING.... card only in the bar, i pay cash, i do not use a card when i'm away, we only went in the bar once, we would have been in there every evening for a last drink or 2 before going back to the room, and so we didn't use the restaurant at all, cash cash cash! it obviously wont bother most, but i am a "keep cash alive" kind of guy! that was my only niggle, everything else was lovely.

Convenient for the centre of Newcastle. We were staying for the Great North Run and it was a lovely touch that they were providing water, energy drinks & snacks for the runners on the morning of the run. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.

Windows could do with being more soundproofed. Considering it was the weekend of the Great North Run and the hotel was busy, they could’ve done with additional staff in the restaurant/kitchen for evening meals.

We liked the location, very convenient for the station. Staff were helpful, food and service at the restaurant were good quality. The hotel definitely made the stay comfortable for the great north runners, with lots of fruit, drinks and jelly babies to keep them going

We stayed for the Great North Run. The Hotel made the stay outstanding. On the morning of the race tables with apples,oranges, water,lucazade and jellys at reception. Also after the race in the room was treats for us. Highly recommend this hotel, the staff excellent

Rooms were lovely and modern and very spacious. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Free water in rooms on arrival. Shower was powerful and toiletries smelled divine. Possibly the quietest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in (Faced the inner courtyard). Great location - about a 6 minute walk from the central Metro. Good selection at breakfast - full English, cereals, granola, toast, crumpets, croissants, muffins, spreads and jams, fruit and yogurt, lovely coffee. Lady on check in was amazing and very friendly, and gave us free pot noodles! The hotel gave out free bananas and fruit, cereal bars and sweets on the morning of the Great North Run! Such a lovely touch!

We pre-paid for breakfast at check-in, but when we went down for breakfast the next day we weren’t on the list and were told to speak to reception. We did this and the receptionist said it was all sorted and to go back through to breakfast room, but when we went back in the same lady at the door just looked at us like we were lying, so she then stormed off to check with reception herself. She came back in and just said “follow me” and showed us to a table. There was no apology for the misunderstanding or making us wait there. She made us feel quite unwelcome, all because they had made a mistake and not added us to the breakfast list! This wasn’t our fault! Also, we had dinner there on 2 nights and both times it took over an hour to be served. I also ordered garlic bread which didn’t arrive. Asked 3 different waitresses about it over the course of 20 mins, and it finally turned up just as I had finished my dinner.

Very spacious comfortable room. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive. Nice large television set. Stayed here as we have stayed at the Leonardo hotel at Heathrow. Good chain of hotels.

Not really a complaint but a little difficult to find if walking from the main station. The hotel is not on the main road but inside a large office and living accommodation complex, St James Place. Nothing on the front of the complex to say Leonardo but a couple of signs on the side entrance to St James Place.

The location was brilliant for the getting into the town and for the GNR. The hotel went over and above for the runners! Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Seems like nobody touched carpet with vacuum. Someone’s hair in the shower. No slippers available in the room. In the restaurant a few bugs were found on the salad leaves. And quite a few pieces of already dry fries on the floor inside bar and no one cares to clean it up. Only people on the reception were really friendly and helpful.

Room 107 wasn’t clean, it had been refurbished and not cleaned properly afterwards. Dusty, paint splashes on door handles and the shower tray, builders rubble next to the toilet. No bathroom bin, phone or hairdryer. He’s very uncomfortable.

Modern, Very Clean and Super Comfortable Beds. We ran the Great North Run and they had free of charge "after run" provisions for us on check-in. Superb !!

Took 45 minutes to make a baked potato and it wasn't even hot!

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. As I was running the GNR, I really appreciated the stuff you put on on the Sunday morning for us - most hotels I've stayed at haven't bothered, so this was a lovely touch. The bed was super comfortable as well

Sowohl vom Bahnhof, Busstation als auch Haltestelle vom Transfer der Fähre fussläufig gut erreichbar. Wasserkocher, Tee, Kaffee, Bügeleisen vorhanden. Frühstück sehr vielfältig und gut!

Mehr Kleiderhaken im Bad und Zimmer wären bei mehr als einer Person von Vorteil.

Easy walk from the station and good when arriving by car on the A1.

Wish car parking details were made clearer. There’s a good drop-off point that’s not clearly signed from the road. And a preferred car park which is discounted by the hotel as well. The window in our room was broken and didn’t shut, which meant I lost a night’s sleep because of noise.

New rooms have poor lighting One less chair and limited shelving room 😞 also new bathrooms have no bath 😞 now and massive Belfast type hand basin with flat bottom that takes loads of water to get one inch depth so not very "green" 😔 also dose not drain clean easily after shaving do to flat bottom design. The new lighting is pathetic wall mirror lights are concealed around the back of mirror 🪞 the small table lamp has on / off button 🔘 on the floor around the back of table legs with dangling cables ‼️.Also kettle is concealed in draw you have to remove kettle and tilt tray to remove and most things slide off ‼️‼️😔.

Conveniently situated for the city centre. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Breakfast had an excellent choice of cold buffet and a fresh hot buffet too. The bed was comfortable and the TV was large and easy to use. The large shower unit was great and overall it was a great place to stay.

Die Dusche war sehr gut, der Spritzschutz half, den Boden trocken zu halten. Kaffee-und Teezubehör waren platzsparend in einer Schublade untergebracht. Es gab nicht nur genügend Doppelsteckdosen, diese hatten auch USB-A und -C Anschlüsse. Das Bett war angenehm, der Platz für mich alleine gut ausreichend – bei drei Personen im Zimmer könnte es etwas eng werden. Frühstücksauswahl war reichhaltig. Die schwarzweiss-Fotos in der Bar gefielen mir sehr gut. Um den Gutschein fürs Parkhaus war ich froh.

Für ein pint Bier und einen Burger in der (lauten) Bar finde ich 25£ eher unangemessen. Die Lautstärke in der Bar passte nicht zum TV, aber immerhin sang Freddie Mercury mit Untertiteln...

The hotel room was clean and presentable, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of beverages available in my room.

Unfortunately, on checkout, the member of staff was quite rude and unforgiving. I wasnt asked how my stay was and the room card was snatched from my hand. I did nothibg to provoke this, I simoly approached the desk and said "Good morning, is it possible to check out please?"

Refurbished and a much better stay than prior to this. It’s my go to place when I stay in Newcastle

Breakfast was excellent, great choice and variety. The staff friendly and helpful. Location perfect a short walk to the train station. We arrived early hoping to drop off our case for a overnight stay. But to our delight a kind man on reception checked to see if a room was ready. It was at no extra charge.

We did experience a bit of noise early on from the room next door but apart from that no complaints

Couldnt sleep due to deep base music from either a night club nearby or another room in the hotel. I presume this was due to where the room assigned to me was located. I'm sure there were quieter rooms available in the hotel.
