Location was key right in the middle of Newcastle. It has parking facilities, although in the middle of Newcastle it’s has easy access, the hotel is clean and the staff are very accommodating

Room was compact and decor was tired. The bathroom was tiny with poor lighting and storage. Parking on arrival was unclear with signs saying to download an app and pay, when you could just pay at reception on arrival. On the one day I had breakfast it was bland and not great value.

Hotel is beautiful, a gem in the city. Less than 5 minute walk from Metro which was easily accessed from the airport. The reception and check in was perfect, friendly, quick and easy. The room had everything and more. Plenty of sockets, iron, plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lovely showers, comfy beds, TV, tea/coffee, safe. Walking distance from loads of gorgeous bars and restaurants, highly recommend Gaucho, 10 munite walk from hotel, best meal we've had in years.

my only gripe would be the bar in the hotel, we paid nearly stg25 for 2 glasses of wine which were adequate. We went to the Mile Castle next door for a much better glass for stg4.10. But overall the hotel was excellent, high recommend and will return on my next visit.

The hotel was very nice, particularly the staff, warm and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic but the dinner menu did not impress, we did not have dinner. It was more like a cafe menu. There was no toilet brush in the room which is a necessity. Overall we had a good stay.

Couldn’t of asked for a better location.

Breakfast was a strange set up, you could pay for a freshly cooked breakfast of the menu individually or have one as part of the all you can eat which included the continental buffet. I felt this seemed expensive at £20 each, especially when the only other thing my daughter wanted was a croissant. We therefore ordered individual meals, but then got charged for the all inclusive, which did get rectified straight away. I would just have one system and bring the price down slightly.

Everything about this place was spot on. Food, bedroom, staff, atmosphere, cleanliness. 2mins walk from station, near a chippy if needed. The breakfast was wow. 100% recommend and will return here. Reasonably priced for a city also

It wasn’t very clean. The room doesn’t have daily cleaning - not even to clear away dirty mugs and glasses so make sure you request if you need it to be cleaned. We also turned up to a used razor in the shower so not sure how thoroughly it is cleaned on departure either.

Receptionist was very helpful. Decor is nice with a comfortable bar.

Room was nice but bathroom still had an old razor left in the shower. Room was not cleaned for the 3 nights we stayed. Only the second night we had the beds made. Other than that dirty glasses and cups were not removed. Perhaps you have to specifically request cleaning but this was not made clear when we checked in.

We stayed here in March and reported issues with the bathroom not being very clean. Also the tea/coffee and body wash in the shower were very poorly stocked. On returning in August we had the same issues again which when mentioned again seemed uninterested by staff. Won’t be staying a 3rd time .

I arrived at Hotel Indigo Newcastle yesterday evening, 14th August, at around 8pm, and from the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed. The young lady on reception was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she deserves a special mention. She was so warm, friendly and genuinely interested in my stay. I heard her with guests before me too and was excited for my turn! She asked, in such a lovely and natural way, “Is there anything bringing you to Newcastle today?” When I explained that I was visiting for a special business trip for an event I was hosting, and that it was my first time in Newcastle, she seemed genuinely excited for me and really intrigued by my business and the reason I was there. She seemed genuinely excited about what I was telling her, and I really loved telling her about it. It felt like a really genuine conversation rather than just the usual hotel check-in, and it made me feel like more than just another guest. She honestly started my stay on the best possible foot. I can genuinely say that this was probably the best interaction I have ever had with a hotel staff member. She was an absolute credit to the hotel. I then went up to my room and ordered room service, and I was genuinely blown away by the value for money. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for a hotel. If anything, I would encourage the hotel to consider increasing the room service prices slightly because the quality of the food absolutely warrants it! It was spectacular. The room itself was spotless, comfortable and beautifully presented. I also struggle massively with sleeping and very rarely sleep through the night, so I honestly couldn’t believe that I slept for most of the night. I felt so relaxed and comfortable, which is something I haven’t experienced in months. Overall, every interaction I had, the food, the room and the atmosphere made this genuinely one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had.

Everything about this hotel is excellent the staff were very friendly & helpful the room was excellent! We had a double room with ensuite and a balcony overlooking the city. Soap, slippers, bath robes supplied, also a fridge with soft drinks. It was lovely and great value for money. For breakfast it was a continental plus a full English 😁

Breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of high-quality options and very good value for money. Check-in was fast, friendly, and efficient. The room was pleasant, with a comfortable bed and a nice shower with better-than-average water pressure.

Although the mattress and throw were comfortable, the quality of the sheets could have been better for the price. They were not very breathable and made us sweat quite a lot. Cleanliness was acceptable but not excellent. There were some spots of mould in the shower, and the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The minibar contained one can of sparkling water and one can of still water. Given the price of the room, they could have been a little more generous. When searching on Booking.com, I filtered for hotels with parking. Unfortunately, I only realised after making a non-refundable booking that the car park was not exclusively for hotel guests and that spaces could not be reserved. There was also no direct access from the car park to the hotel, so we had to carry our bags along the street. Had Booking.com been clearer about what qualifies as hotel parking, I would probably have chosen somewhere else. Nevertheless, we left the car in the nearby car park, which cost an additional £15 per day, and explored on foot or used Uber. The hotel’s location was very convenient, so the parking issue did not ruin our stay, but discovering it only after booking was frustrating.

Visited Hotel Indigo after deciding to stay the night in Newcastle. It is located 1 street up from Newcastle central station. Check-in was easy, friendly staff who ask questions about what we were doing etc. The room was very nice! Large space with a very big bed and everything you would need in a hotel room. The bathroom was also great, nice shower with good water pressure. The room was also very clean. Provided with tea and coffee with biscuits in the room. Well worth staying there.

Great room. A noon checkout always a plus. Staff were great when I left something behind in the room, offering to post it back to me.

The Aircon was really poor unfortunately and the fridge wasn't very cold. They were the only negatives.

Central location, easily accessible from the train station. Bus stop immediately outside serving routes around the city. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Nice bar area next to reception.

Bed had mattress topper which I found too warm. Strong smell in room similar to aftershave, possibly a room spray which was quite overpowering. Limited coffee/milk supply replenished daily.

We have had a great experience at Hotel Indigo..The room was clean,tidy and comfortable and the staff have been amazing so helpful and FRIENDLY.

The first issue is to identify the hotel car park as it is not clearly signposted and you are totally unsure if you are in the right place. A walk round the corner and you’re in reception. 2 reception desks but the staff to say the least. No comment about the restaurant bar opening and to be honest other than telling you your room number they really say nothing. The room we booked was a balcony room. It was dirty inside and out and the bathroom was dire. I was mean and wrote in the dust in the bathroom ‘clean me’ see photo if I can upload it There was 1 towel for 2 people to shower etc There was 1 robe in the bathroom that appeared to have been used by the last occupant The balcony was dirty too - it looked like every other alternate balcony had been jet washed - again see photos of bird poo on the glass and windows that had baked on over weeks of no cleaning The coffee machine was a total no go area as we’d have been ill if we used it - clearly never cleaned Overall very disappointing I did raise my issues on checkout and they were scribbled down but as yet no response or explanation for the state of the room

The hotel was located close to the train station, only a short walk away. The room was clean and comfortable, and AC worked great! The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the room service breakfast and appreciated being able to get a meal at the bar as well.

From start to finish our stay at hotel indigo was fantastic. We were checked in by Alisha who helped us store our luggage and went through our upgrade options. She was really friendly and helpful throughout. We had upgraded to a room with a balcony and it was a corner room with a huge balcony and views of the city. Room was very clean and bed really comfortable. Robes, slippers and stocked mini bar also provided. Breakfast the next day was lovely and again staff were really friendly. Would definitely stay again.
