Hotel curato nell'arredo e struttura molto carina. Posizione ottima.

Lo staff (non tutto), ma in particular la signora che abbiamo incontrato al desk e la sua "accoglienza"...nessun saluto al nostro ingresso per il check in, sguardo infastidito e puzza sotto il naso solo perchè eravamo due ragazzi rientrati dalla spiaggia. Ci ha accompagnato in stanza per spiegarci le ovvietà (forse aveva paura che la distruggessimo?), contro voglia e mezzo disdegno. A tutti può capitare una giornata storta, ma sicuramente non mi aspetto un trattamento del genere in un "Luxury Suites". Poco piacevole. Giusto per rassicurare la signora: lavoro come genetista in ospedale e le consiglio di rapportarsi diversamente in futuro con gli ospiti, perchè magari la prossima volta si può trovare davanti un Mystery Guest, l'abito non fa il monaco.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The location is simply perfect – everything is within walking distance, including restaurants, cafés, bars, beautiful promenades, and two public beaches. It couldn’t be more convenient, so I would definitely rate the location 10/10. The staff were always friendly, polite, and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel also has a Michelin-starred restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to dine there because there were so many greit dining options nearby that we wanted to explore.

The only minor downside was that the room felt a little small for us, especially since we were traveling with two large suitcases. However, this didn’t take away from our overall experience.

Det var ekstremt lytt, hørte kjøkkenkniven til kokken. Kunne høre hva resturantgjestene sa, og hva som vart sagt på naborommet, har aldri opplevd eit hotell som har vore så dårlig lydisolert. At jeg hadde bestilt rom med balkong, og det fikk vi ikkje. Det luktet sterk urin lukt på badet, ga beskjed på høflig måte, men fikk ingen respons i resepsjonen, luktet mindre etter romvask neste dag, men under hele oppholdet lukta badet eit snev flyplasstoalett. Dei var grei service, men ikkje slik du forventar på 5 stjerners hotell.

Unfortunately, our experience at Palazzo Salamone was extremely disappointing. The most serious problem was that our room had no usable hot water. The water was only lukewarm, making it impossible to take a comfortable shower. After I reported the problem, a maintenance employee came to our room and insisted the water was hot enough. It was not. The following day, staff acknowledged that there was indeed a problem and attempted to adjust it, but they were unable to fix it. While I was discussing the issue with the manager at the front desk, another couple reported the same problem. The manager simply shrugged, suggesting that this was not an isolated incident and that little was being done to resolve it. The problem was never resolved during our five-night stay. We reserved what was advertised as the hotel's best room. While it did include a pleasant outdoor terrace, the interior was disappointing. The bedroom was upstairs, while the first floor consisted mainly of a hallway with a tiny table and two chairs that barely fit the space. It did not resemble what we expected from the hotel's top accommodation. To make matters worse, the advertised hot tub was not operational. My wife and I spent 30 days traveling throughout Sicily, and this hotel was our final stop before returning home. I chose it because it advertised itself as a five-star hotel with excellent amenities, and I wanted our last week in Sicily to be memorable. Based on our experience, Palazzo Salamone fell far short of the standards that most travelers would reasonably expect from a five-star property. I cannot recommend it, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Struttura molto elegante, finemente arredata, personale molto gentile ed efficiente, ovviamente pulitissima. Cortesie per gli ospiti, asciugamani e biancheria di qualità eccellente, the e caffè in camera di qualità top. Posizione nel cuore di Ortigia, ma lontano dalla confusione. Utilissimo e efficiente servizio di car valet (consegna auto)

L’unico problema è stato il rumore dei camerieri che fino a tarda notte andavano e venivano dal ristorante dell’hotel, aperto al pubblico. E’ un ristorante stellato, non un’osteria, ma la parete che divide la stanza dal corridoio non è in muratura: è un pannello di legno, come il pavimento del corridoio (dunque molto rumoroso). Purtroppo tutto il lusso del mondo non basta a ripagare del sonno perduto. Si può sistemare il tutto abbastanza facilmente.

O Apartamento duplex NAO tem banheiro em cima, para usar durante a noite, e preciso descer uma escada HORRÍVEL e usar na parte debaixo. Surpresa terrível ao chegar! Café da manhã por €20, a la cárter e muito pobre e mal servido! Staf péssimo!

Ho prenotato due camere. Una superior e una standard. Avendo appreso alla reception che la standard era appena fuori al building principale ma soprattutto che era su due piani ( il bagno in altro piano dalla stanza da letto !) ho scelto la standard lasciando la superior ai suoceri. A parte la scomodità, la stanza non e’ assolutamente linea con un hotel 5 stelle ( nenache di un 4 direi). Molto spoglia, arredamento basico, senza un vero armadio, senza una sedia/poltrona, senza un cavalletto per la valigia, etc. Spiace perche’ invece la struttura principale e’ molto bella, cosi come la camera superior e il suggestivo cortile.

The staff were not able to provide another room on a single floor (most rooms are duplex). They refused to refund me any amount despite me leaving the room after only one night (total of 4 booked).

This particular room has no natural light or ventilation, and therefore smells very humid and enclosed. One of the windows does not open and faces the corridor (you’re forced to close the curtains for privacy), the other window opens only a tiny bit and faces a very unpleasant enclosed patio, the curtains are also broken for this window.

Location

Majority of the rooms are duplex with the bathroom downstairs, which is not explicitly written in the description. Thus you reserve a room with terrace in the expectation, that you will go upstairs on the terrace. But in fact you have to go to the toilets downstairs in the night, when you need. There is no wardrobe, where you can put your dress and any place to put your luggage, because even if you have a suite, it is exiguous. Furthermore the room is dark.

The location was excellent. We could walk to everything.

It was noisy. We could hear the people and the music from the restaurant downstairs.

Mi è piaciuto moltissimo il soggiorno al Palazzo Salomone. La struttura è elegante, curata nei dettagli e situata in una posizione perfetta nel cuore di Ortigia. Il personale è stato estremamente gentile, accogliente e sempre disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta, facendomi sentire davvero a casa. Ho apprezzato molto anche la pulizia e la tranquillità dell’ambiente. Un’esperienza davvero piacevole che consiglio assolutamente.

Ubicación excelente en un lugar imprescindible si vas a Sicilia: la isla de Ortigia. Matizo lo de la la ubicación: excelente una vez te deshaces del vehículo. Nosotros íbamos en moto y puedes aparcar SIN PAGAR en cualquiera de los aparcamientos de moto. Eso sí, tienen que concederte el derecho de acceso a la isla con tu vehículo. Pero el hotel se encarga de todo a través del chat de booking. Todo muy fácil. Si vas en coche creo que es otra historia, ya que NO puedes aparcar en NINGÚN sitio (excepto los parkings de pago que indicarán en el hotel)

las habitaciones están en dos plantas, al menos la nuestra (com un duplex), por lo que para ir al de la cama al lavabo tientes que subir y bajar escaleras. En nuestro caso, no es que fuese un problema, pero siempre es más cómodo una única planta.

Hotel di lusso, dotato di tutti i comfort, staff sempre gentile e disponibile. Camere molto belle. Ristorante stellato. Colazione superlativa. Hotel consigliato a chi cerca relax, immersi in pieno centro storico.

La propreté de la chambre ce qui parait évident pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, pour le reste, tout était décevant.

L'emplacement sans aucune vue, la rue étant particulièrement étroite avec un immeuble juste en face. Les travaux dans la rue devant l'hôtel = bruit dès 8 heures du matin et détour pour accéder à l'hôtel; Hôtel très froid, sans aucune convivialité : Pas de bar ou petit salon ou espace pour prendre un pot. Petit déjeuner déplorable (20 € par personne). Comme nous ne l'avions pas commandé la veille (personne ne nous ayant prévenu!), ce fut une catastrophe! Attente d'environ 20 minutes avant d'avoir un café, Pain sans beurre ni confiture, un oeuf dur bouillant impossible à écaler, pour le reste, il fallait réclamer sans cesse, pour un 5 étoiles avec restaurant étoilé, c'est inadmissible. Nous avons donc pris nos petit-déjeuners ailleurs les autres jours. Nous avons demandé un geste commercial pour le prix des 2 petit-déjeuners (40€), mais l'hôtel a refusé. Présence du restaurant dans le hall de l'hôtel autour duquel sont installées les chambres, le soir nous entendions les discussions des convives dans la chambre. Cet hôtel se veut "branché" par sa décoration, mais il a un problème de conception. Il ne mérite vraiment pas ses 5 étoiles.

tiene un problema acustico,el comedor y la cocina están ubicados en el hall central de triple altura rodeado de rampa/escalera metalica.Si buen es impactante visualmente,en la practica hace de caja de resonancia y por la noche se escucha desde la habitacion el ruido de cubiertos y gente hasta las 11 hrs.

Das erste Zimmer war mehr oder weniger total dunkel-hatte nur 2Minifenster die aber abgeklebt waren-war aber sehr schön eingerichtet, Um 22.00 wollten wir ins Bett aber konnten nicht schlafen weil die Nachbarn dermaßen laut waren (wir sind nicht empfindlich aber es war als ob der Party bei uns im Zimmer stattfinden würden )-sind darauf hin zu Rezeption ,die Dame die mit ging hat denn bestätigt dass es wirklich sehr Laut ist und sagte dass es mit der Nachbarschaft immer Probleme gibt. Wir haben ein anderes Zimmer bekommen Richtung Straße und das war dann ok so das wir schlafen konnten. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir geduscht und unfreiwillig das ganze Bad unter Wasser gesetzt-die Duschen haben seitliche Duschdüsen die aber Richtung Duschzür das Wasser spritzen-die Türen schließen aber nicht Richtig-somit war das komplette Bad unter Wasser Wenn man sich als Luxuriös bezeichnet sollte es aber anders sein

The hotel failed to mention that our room had absolutely no windows. We were right next to a courtyard, which would have made up for the lack of windows, but the restaurant staff was always seated there smoking. Less than ideal

The entire experience for us in this facility was not good. The loft room sounded better than is was in actuality. The TV rarely worked due to a low wifi signal.

Absolutely amazing stay. The hotel, the decor, the restaurant, the staff, everything was exceptional.

Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom also spacious with a large waterfall shower. Helpful staff and the Sky TV is a plus if you are relaxing in the room at any point. Location is at the southern end of Ortigia in a nice, quiet back street. Can’t comment on the restaurant as we didn’t try it for breakfast or dinner.

Beautiful modern hotel and beautiful room on 2 floors (sitting room/bathroom downstairs and bedroom upstairs). Great amenities. Only detracting factors are that the room was a bit dark (the hotel is in a narrow alley), and that the bathroom on a different floor than the bedroom is a bit inconvenient at night. The hotel is quite difficult to reach by car (Google maps will send you to an alley where it is impossible to turn or maneuver), so it is best to leave the car in the nearby Piazza Federico di Svevia and arrange for a very convenient valet with the hotel.

Design, location and cleanliness were outstanding really.

There was a pateo door next to our room that made a lot of noise, easy fix but that disrupted a bit of our sleep.

The property is in a great location! We loved being able walk along the coast and get around to restaurants easily. The staff was also really lovely too.

We stayed on first level and you could hear everything… even the cutlery being collected from the restaurant downstairs and shuffling of feet of staff. The shower also was problematic for us too with difficulty adjusting the temperature.
