숙박은 이틀 예약이었습니다 첫날은 무척 당황했습니다. 복층으로 된 호텔룸은 처음 이었거든요 부킹닷컴에서 예약시에 알지 못했던 사실이었습니다 방을 교체해주기를 원했지만 만실이라고 방이 없다고 했습니다 정말 기분이 나빳지만 어쩔수가 없었습니다 짧은언어로 인해 항의 하기 어려웠고 하루만이라도 방을 교체 해달라고 얘기는 했지만 확실한 답을 들을 수는 없었습니다.. 밤늦게 다음날은 방을 교체 해줄 수 있다는 전화를 받았습니다 좋다고 해야 할지 나쁘다고 해야 할지 어쨓든 다행이었습니다 시라쿠사의 오르티지아 섬은 30년전 처음 방문했을때보다 더좋은 기억으로 남을거 같습니다

예약시 복층으로 된 룸을 배정 받을 수 있다는 문구나 말을 고지하면 좋겠습니다 오르락 내리락을 몇번을 해야 했는지..

The private beach and boat trip to it was a lovely added bonus. There is a hotel tan bar serving drinks and snacks at the beach which was a nice touch. The breakfast was great on the roof terrace and the waiting staff provided a great service.

The location is ideal central to all the sites. The staff are amazing. The hotel has the best restaurant and food so far in Italy, the terrace restaurant is located on the roof top overlooking the harbour. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. Hotel has secure parking across the road from hotel cost Euro 20 per day. Fabulous breakfast plenty of variety.

Nothing everything was perfect would definitely stay again at this hotel.

The Grand Hotel Ortigia has several strong points, starting with its excellent location. It is within easy walking distance of both the harbour and Ortigia’s historic centre, making it a very convenient base for exploring Syracuse on foot. The service was consistently warm, welcoming and professional, and the staff were helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was another highlight: very good quality, with a broad selection of both sweet and savoury options, catering well to different tastes and dietary preferences.

The rooms have very limited storage and wardrobe space, which can be inconvenient for anything more than a short stay. More importantly, I would strongly recommend avoiding rooms on the second floor. The hotel restaurant is located directly above, and the sound insulation is inadequate. We could clearly hear chairs and furniture being moved across the restaurant floor late at night and again very early in the morning, which significantly affected our sleep. The other major issue was the air conditioning. The system in our room appeared old and was unable to cool the room adequately during the August heat. Despite raising the issue with the front desk, it could not be resolved. The hotel eventually provided a portable fan, but it was quite noisy and obviously not an adequate substitute for properly functioning air conditioning in Sicily during the summer.

The hotel is stunning, high-level 5 stars. Excellent food, beautiful and clean rooms. The hotel staff is polite and pleasant. The location is perfect, right on the promenade in the old town area, close to all the beautiful places. Highly recommended!!!"

O hotel tem praia propria mas é preciso agendar horario de ida e volta pois fica fora de ilha e o caminho é feito de barco, que mostra a ilha de uma linda perpectiva.

I liked the atmosphere in the hotel, beautifully decorated. The location was awesome. the staff treated us splendidly. we had a massage at the hotel SPA and it was absolutely wonderful. Siracuse and the island of Ortigia, where the hotel is located is beautiful.

Beautiful hotel in a prime location, right on the harbor. Room was a nice size and bathroom was very modern with adequate counterspace. The breakfast was on the rooftop and had a beautiful view of the harbor. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of offerings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bellman was excellent, helped us with our luggage and always greeted us with a smile and friendly welcome. This is the place to stay in Sircusa without a doubt.

Parking was right across the street, convenient but on the pricey side. For the price of these rooms parking should be reduced. The hotel had a "private beach club" about a 20-minute drive away or you could pay for a boat shuttle from the hotel. We were led to believe this was a very nice beach but after driving around trying to find it, we finally had to get out several times to ask people where it was since there were no markings for the Grand Hotel Ortiga anywhere. Finally after going through another really nice beach club you walk down some stairs to a public beach which was basically a dump, trash everywhere, and you get to the "private beach club" which was very basic and not worth spending any time there at all so we left immediately, glad we didn't pay the fare for the boat shuttle and get stuck over there. Don't waste your time going to this beach club unless you just want to take a swim.

This is a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde place, but let’s start with the good. The people working there are lovely and capable. They rescued this hotel for an excruciatingly bad review. Some of the rooms are completely acceptable for a five star hotel. They have interesting, good quality, original art on the walls. But…

The first two floors are what one would expect of a typical five star hotel. The third floor was added on perhaps 1990’s - less five star and more trailer park. We got put up on the 3rd floor for the first night and the quality is very much cheap B&B. They light up the roof with floodlights which come straight through the windows and keep you up until midnight. I was awoken perhaps at 5am by swallows flying past which is quite charming, but gives you an idea of the thickness of the walls. Then again at about 6am by the traffic outside. Then at 7am by our neigbours having a chat. We had a Deluxe Double Room not a Standard. The description and images did not match what was on booking.com so I made a fuss and got moved to another Deluxe Double Room on the 2nd floor which was fine. See photo for what our 3rd floor room looked like and feel welcome to compare with what is on the official listings. This is a Deluxe Double Room and is supposedly 25 sq m. They said if you include the terrace outside it is bigger than it looks. Hmm.... So the problem lies in how you can make a booking by floor. They group the rooms by size not by quality so you can purchase an expensive room but still be allocated caravan quality on the 3rd floor. There is no way of knowing if you will get a room like the ones in the pictures. The 1st and 2nd floor rooms are completely acceptable (if a little expensive for what they are) but the 3rd floor rooms I would judge only acceptable at perhaps a third the price (and even then not something I would pay for). I could never come here again because the rooms are such a lottery - five star vs trailer park. An own goal by the hotel and one they can easily correct. But until then.

The roof terrace for dinner and breakfast was fantastic with beautiful views. The position of the hotel was great.

The hotel was a beautiful hotel, old world charm, and very conveniently located- steps from the marina and steps to many great restaurants and shops in the town of Ortiga/Siracusa. The restaurant that served a full breakfast included was also lovely and the food very good. The main negatives of this hotel was that it is very hot this time of year and the air conditioning in the room is sub par. I had to sleep with a cold compress on my head. Also, the Concierge was friendly but did not give good advice as to restaurants and booked us a cheesy private boat excursion. The boat was called "The Love Boat" and the tour guide didn't speak any English at all!! Very disappointing. If you stay there make sure you research everything very well yourself for restaurants and activities and be prepared for a hot room in June/July/August.

The location is great. The hotel is easy to get to and has private parking. It is next to the harbor and offers nice sea views. In the summer, they offer a boat service to their beach club which was great especially since it was so warm during the day. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Because it is an older hotel, the rooms are a bit small.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, the staff were outstanding, and the delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace made our stay a beautiful one. I want to give a shout out to Adriano, Corrado, Luciano, Serena, and Paolo who were so helpful with our questions about the area and a special “grazie” to Laura at breakfast who was so kind to my son and I every morning.

It was a little on the pricey side but we were there in June which is close to their high season.

Front of house excellent but not a 5 star hotel. Paid extra 100 euros per night for better room.TV useless health and safety issues. No coffee macne no milk had to ask for water So many issues which made it a very poor hotel for 500 euros per night.

The location of our room was terrible. On the ground floor. Housekeeping carts permanently parked outside our room door. Actually had to move a cart to get into our room. Room directly opposite the service elevator. View was horrible. Windows were ground level so you look at the parked cars on the street. Don’t stay in Room 20. Great hotel in an excellent location. You can walk everywhere as Ortigia is quite small. Parking outside was a real bonus. Staff are lovely. Great breakfast, great aircon, comfortable beds and lovely bathroom.

We stayed three nights, celebrating my parent’s 60th anniversary and had a great experience. Excellent service, excellent food, and the hotel building itself was elegant and beautifully restored. Kudos to Cinzia and her event staff for going above and beyond to attend to every detail. Thank you! Breakfast buffet on the terrace is a must!

The rooms were dark and so small that in my friends room she didn’t have any place to even open her suitcase , I used the small round table were lucky to have in our room so I put my suitcase on top of that .the rooms are dark and run down a bit , my friends room had almost no light in it at all just two small windows looking onto an elevator shaft , so if you want to stay make sure u get a room with a view of the water , the beds are rock hard which I didn’t mind but was had using one tiny coverlet,

Breakfast was good but no egg options except scrambled offered or fresh orange juice - but it was a good breakfast and waiting staff were very helpful and polite. Also beautiful breakfast terrace. We did not have dinner there as it was quite expensive and there was a sign saying you had to have at least two courses and you couldn’t share dishes. We always share dishes in Italy to get more choice / so dinner was a big no for us at the hotel - shame because the terrace where restaurant is situated has stunning views

I just left the hotel after my second stay-last year at this time and now. As always it was wonderful. The location is great and the rooms and bathrooms are lovely. I would also like to say that the housekeeping is excellent. The room where breakfast is served ( which also is the dining room) is really lovely and overlooks the water. I want to say a special thanks to Emanuele, Luciano and Adriano who went out of their way to provide warm, informative service as well as a heartfelt welcome back. They certainly made my stay a nicer experience. For anyone going to Ortigia this hotel is an excellent choice.

部屋をジュニアスイートで3部屋予約しましたが、まったく違い、階段しか上がれない屋根裏部屋でした。トランクを運ぶスタッフも無く、フロント対応も酷く、部屋を変えてもらう交渉に１時間かかり、やっとスタンダードの部屋に案内されましたが、狭くシャワーはチョロチョロしか出ず、最悪でした。とにかく何を言ってもブッキングドットコムに言えと言われました。返金をお願いします。

Se oye todo de una habitación a la otra. Nos obligaron a dejar la habitación a las 10.30. No he visto nunca esto en ningún hotel. Y menos en uno de 5 estrellas con el precio que tiene por noche. Pedimos late check out y nos dijeron que como muy tarde a las 11.

Very convenient location, easy to reach by car, and easy to walk to good restaurants, nice shops and memorable scenic views of the bay and the open Mediterranean Sea.

Room was oddly constructed, with a second level whose function was unclear. Having the same amount of space (square footagel) but all on one level would have been much nicerl

Ortea Palace is a beautiful and historical inspiring hotel. It is situatiated perfectly for both arriving and exploring Ortigia. We stayed at a junior suite at the top floor with a perfect view of the water and a terrasse with sun all day. The best however was the attention, kindness and professional of the staff in general and Silvia at the front office in particular. She was simply amazing - she is a sure 10. The reason why I score our stay an 8 and not a 10 is the missing pool/outside area for the shoulder season and the really cheap furniture on our terrasse, which was really not fitting for your beautiful hotel as well as the opening hours of the Spa area.
