Lovely family run hotel in great part of the city - close to the action but not in high tourist traffic area

Unfortunately you could not eat breakfast outside due to the European wasps

Frühstück, Bar und Spa-Bereich waren toll! Überall sehr freundliches Personal! Zimmer war klein aber hochwertig.

Zur Straße hin ist es mit offenen Fenstern sehr laut.

We had a wonderful experience at Design Hotel Zum Hirschen. The hotel is beautifully designed, welcoming, and very comfortable, but what truly made our stay special was the exceptional service. A very special thank you to Elisa at reception, who was absolutely outstanding. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Her restaurant recommendation was excellent and turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber Hatte eine Klimaanlage Man kann gut zu Fuß in die Stadt oder mit dem Bus fahren. Frühstück sehr gut mit reichlicher Auswahl Glutenfrei ist kein Problem Kleiner feiner Saunabereich

Im Bad braucht man mehr Haken für die Handtücher, da die Zimmer wohl nicht jeden Tag gereinigt werden.

Struttura moderna ed elegante nel pieno centro storico, consente di raggiungere tutte le attrazioni principali con brevi tragitti a piedi oppure coi mezzi pubblici. Colazione a pagamento ma ricchissima di alternative dolci e salate: valore aggiunto l’offerta di prodotti biologici. Bellissimo il raffinato giardino esterno nel quale poter fare colazione.

The location and size of the room

No fridge in the room. We were travelling with a child. No where to store milk. So no milk before bed. We were some inhalers that would ideally be kept in a fridge. Reception offered to keep them downstairs. We couldn't risk going down 4 flights of stairs when my child is having an asthma attack. No landline phone connecting to reception so you have to have a roaming sim to connect to reception in case you need extra towels /hangers. On top of all this the room service was extremely poor. The beds were never being cleaned properly. Crumps found every night. Even after we complained to reception the room wasn't cleaned at all the following day. The hotel staff offered complementary breakfast on the last day which was nice to have. However the previous experience overshadowed the gesture

The hotel was very convenient being only a couple blocks from the train station. You could also catch the bus with a half a block walk. The room was very clean. The staff was very good.

Two small suggestions: Please add a bin in the toilet and possibly conditioner :) If you could extend the time of check out to 12 this might reduce the little crowd during breakfast as the space for the buffet is small (but the breakfast area big and nice)

位置非常好，就在火车站附近，步行5分钟可达，出行特别方便——尤其是去湖区的150、150X公交，既可以走到火车站坐，也可以在酒店旁边的Salzburg Kiesel站上车。去米拉贝尔宫、主教宫、粮食街这些景点都能坐公交直达，很省事。周边生活也便利，隔壁购物中心地下有大型Billa超市，加油站那边还有24小时的Billa小超市，晚上想买水或零食随时都行。 特别提醒：可以问酒店要Guest Mobility Ticket，会发到邮箱，凭二维码坐公交全程免费，非常划算。酒店本身也很有设计感，简约温馨，还有一个内庭院，天气好时可以在户外花园里享用早餐，很惬意。早餐是奥地利传统式的，比较丰富。 房间干净整洁，空间偏小，桌子和床头柜都小小的；只配了热水壶，没有咖啡机；饮用水只在入住第一天提供，但告知可以直接饮用自来水，不过奥地利这边的水质很硬，烧开有很多水垢。总体来说位置、交通和设计氛围是最大优点，适合以观光出行为主的旅客。

Personel nie instruował nas jak dostać się z parkingu do hotelu I na odwrót (drzwi łączące segmenty były niedostępne bez karty pokojowej), przez co błądziłyśmy z walizami

Das Design Hotel zum Hirschen ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einem durchgängigen Konzept, das eine familiäre und gleichsam geschäftige Atmosphäre schafft. Das Personal überzeugt mit professioneller Handhabung jeglicher Anfragen. Da wir die Zahnpasta vergessen hatten, fragten wir am Abend bei der Rezeption nach und haben sofort ein kleines Denta-Kit erhalten, das uns für den Aufenthalt gedient hat. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet und ausgesprochen ruhig, wobei besonders die Zimmer im Neubau mit ihrer Größe punkten konnten. Nett ist auch, dass bei Ankunft zwei Flaschen Wasser und zwei Schokoriegel, wovon einer vegan war, bereitgestellt wurden. Das Hotel ist außerdem sehr hundefreundlich, es werden zum Beispiel Näpfe und Decke zur Verfügung gestellt.

wir waren positiv überrascht, in Bahnhofsnähe so ein schönes Hotel vorzufinden. Es war angenehm gekühlt, und trotz vorbeiführender Straße in den Zimmern total still. Die Zimmergröße mit einem extra Sofa, der Garten vor und hinter dem haus, beim nächsten mal bitte gerne ein Appartment..... und last but not least, getrenntes Bad und WC

The hotel was brilliantly located within easy walking distance of the main city attractions, yet set back a little way from the busiest areas. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice.

Gutes Hotel in Bahnhofsnähe. Das Hotel hat einen guten Style und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich! das Frühstück ist sehr gut und kann auch auf der Hotelterrasse eingenommen werden. Eine Tiefgarage zu 26€ am Tag ist vorhanden. Meine Bitte im obersten Stockwerk ein Zimmer zu bekommen wurde berücksichtigt. W

Leider hatte ich ein sehr (zu kleines Zimmer) und die Bitte ein ruhiges Zimmer zu bekommen wurde nicht berücksichtigt. Das Zimmer lag an der Bundesstraße. Auf Nachfrage warum, wurde über die Buchung über booking.com als Grund angegeben. In dem Badezimmer (Es handelt sich um ein Doppelzimmer) gab es einen Handtuchhaken. Design ist toll, es sollte aber auch Sinnvoll sein und nicht nur schön ausschauen!

Er was een feestje in de tuin dus daar kon je niet zitten de bartender moest en eten klaar maken voor bar gasten en drinken dus was lang weg . En eerlijk gezegd beetje verkeerde beurt

This is a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. We loved the cool decor and the fact that the hotel made a real effort to source local, organic ingredients. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, we absolutely loved them!

A friendly, cozy, and high-quality hotel located very close to the train station. The whole hotel exudes cleanliness and peace - it always felt so good to arrive, and there was a pleasant scent everywhere. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the soundproof windows kept all the busy street noise out. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety.

The location is good, the bed was comfortable, and the quality of the bed linen was superb. The parking felt secure, and we appreciated being allowed to leave our car in the garage for a while after check-out so we could have breakfast.

The biggest problem was the shower. The water temperature constantly changed dramatically, from cool to scalding hot, it wasn’t just a minor fluctuation. Taking a shower became an ordeal every time. The water pressure was mediocre. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with a lot of luggage. Although the hotel advertises on-site parking, our room was at least 85 metres from the parking garage, if not 100, and reaching it required going through three heavy doors, taking a lift and using a small flight of stairs. We had asked for a room closer to the parking, but were told that this was the last available room. It was disappointing, especially as we had booked well in advance. Cleanliness was also not great. The wardrobe and the bathroom drawers under the sink were very dirty inside, and the bedspread had stains. The hand soap – with an extremely unpleasant smell – was provided in dirty dispensers. The sofa was quite uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel am Design in Salzburg. The hotel’s decor is modern, stylish, and very lovely throughout. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free, and every member of the staff we interacted with was extremely friendly, warm, and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and made for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal—it’s situated in the newer part of the city, but it is just a short, pleasant walk to the Altstadt (Old Town). It's incredibly walkable, and public transport options are right nearby, making getting around the city effortless. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Salzburg!

All very positive and nothing that we did not like about the property.

I had a lovely corner room that was large and comfortably appointed. The hotel was also very quiet and street noise was not a problem. Great shower. For me that's key. Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. Good bed and shower. Superb breakfast as well.

The "restaurant/bar" area was not what it could be. There was rarely staff serving and the offerings were limited. They didn't even serve ice cream. There are lots of families.. It's summer. Bring in some more enticing refreshments and snacks - it'll sell and liven up the lobby.

Even though , the location was 10 minutes from the station it was a more run down area and not in the main part of Salzburg but you would know when booking.

It appeared to be recently renovated and in a great location. Every thing was clean,comfortable and well designed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Beds were very good as was the bathroom. Our room had a very spacious terrace overlooking the lovely peaceful garden. Tea and coffee making facilities were very welcome. The (independent) restaurant next door is also excellent.

Checkin erst nach 15:00 möglich nachdem gesagt wurde um 15:00 gehts, sehr ärgerlich weil ich um 14:30 einchecken wollten und weg geschickt wurde, dann um 15:10 wieder gekommen bin und gesagt wurde zimmer ist nicht bereit. Für business kunden nicht gut

Das Zimmer mit Blick auf den Garten war komfortabel und ruhig, das Hoteldesign modern und gleichzeitig behaglich. Frühstück sehr gut, Service ausgezeichnet

The hotel is nicely located, nearby the train station and a couple of blocks away from the city centre. There are many nice restaurants and cafés nearby. The room was very well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and air-conditioning.

Die Lage nahe Bahnhof und fußläufig ins Stadtzentrum zu den Festspielen waren ideal. Das Frühstück im Freien haben wir sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett sehr bequem und der Empfang sehr freundlich.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff at reception are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and I had a delicious cocktail at the bar in the evening too. That bar and lounge area was very cozy to sit in as it started raining outside. I liked that it wasn't central but within a 5-10 minute walk you can be at Mirabell Palace and the old town. I'd definitely book there again.

Everything was great for a one night stay.

The location worked well for me. It’s walkable, even if it’s not in the best area itself, it’s quite accessible to touristic spots, etc. The front desk staff are all fantastic and so friendly. No faults with them whatsoever! Breakfast was also good, a great selection.

I wanted to like my experience but I am genuinely surprised the cleanliness ratings here are so high. I arrived to hairs in the bedsheets and on my pillows. I slept the first night without pillows on the bed because I arrived too late to want to bother anyone. When I told front desk the issue, they were prompt and responsive. But the cleaner just did not seem to see the hairs or care… Even after she “cleaned” there were still many hairs on the bedsheets and I gave up after that. I didn’t have them clean for the rest of my stay and frankly was glad to get out of there.

Our room was gorgeous, comfy beds and large clean bathroom. Nice to have a toilet cubicle separate from the shower. Effective air conditioning. Hotel bar and reception was cool and calm after the heat of the city. Convenient underground parking. We didn't have breakfast but the garden terrace looked lovely.

Austria is expensive but this price was high. The location was good for transport (trams and trains round the corner) but it's not the nicest area and there are no nice bars or restaurants locally.

Super schlechtes Wlan

Vom Einchecken bis Ausschecken alles perfekt. Die Lage ist perfekt für Erkundungen der Stadt. Das Doppelbett war durchgehend ohne Besucherritze und das Frühstück wunderbar. Wir hatten das Glück bei Sonnenschein im Garten-Innenhof sitzen zu können. Wir werden das Hotel in jedem Fall weiterempfehlen!

Hotel ist sehr komfortabel, für uns wichtig. Das Bett war breit und bequem. Getrenntes Bad und WC sehr praktisch. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr sehr freundlich. Man war sehr schnell in der Innenstadt.

Vor allem die Ausrichtung auf Nachhaltigkeit.

Super schönes Hotel und stylisches Design Innen/Außen

Die WLAN Verbindung war katastrophal! Und was schon eine Frechheit ist, dass egal welches Hotel man über Booking kontaktiert, wenn man ein Kleinkind hat und dies mit bei den Eltern im Bett schläft, dass alle immer sofort antworten, dass es kein Problem sei. Aber hier wurde das sofort abgelehnt und man sollte direkt ein größeres Zimmer buchen. Da kein größeres Zimmer mehr verfügbar war, wurde uns „gnädigerweise“ erlaubt mit Aufpreis fürs Kind in einem kleineren Zimmer zu schlafen. Nicht sehr familienfreundlich. Zudem gab es keinen Snack- oder Getränkeautomat.

This is a very nice hotel to stay in Salzburg, just a short walk from the city and old town. The staff were very friendly and answered our questions. The bar staff were very good, especially when the bar was very busy with the FIFA final. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a large and well thought out bathroom. It feels very new and nice. You can’t hear any noise in the hallway from other guests. There are two lifts which makes life easier. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Salzburg!

The cleaner didn’t make the bed when tidying the room, but this wasn’t an issue.
