Hotel muy limpio y cómodo, a unos pasos de la Playa, Excelente restaurant y atención

El hotel es espectacular, es hermoso, instalaciones como nuevas, personal súper amable y servicial, la comida exquisita, la piscina perfecta. La playa está al frente, muy linda pero con oleaje. Sin duda volvería a hospedarme.

Tiene exelente ubicación. La atencion y comida exelente. Tienen exelentes actividades.

Nos tocó en remodelacion, mucho ruido por la mañana Los cuartos no son como en las imagenes.

Me encantaron las instalaciones, los cuartos y en general el hotel estaban muy limpios. Creo que la ubicación es excelente, todo queda caminando. El personal del hotel nos recibió con mucha amabilidad y el trato fue bueno a lo largo de toda la estancia.

I stayed at Hotel Santa Fe in Puerto Escondido for one week (March 14–21), and overall it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was excellent — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was very good, and the overall structure of the hotel is beautiful and well maintained. One of the things I appreciated most was the tranquility and peace of the place, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Honestly, there’s nothing negative worth mentioning. Everything met or exceeded expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

I can't recommend this lovely place enough. The location is amazing, the pool is so beautiful, shaded by big trees. There's a family pool and an adults-only pool. The restaurant is great with wonderful views and the staff are so very kind.

The staff at the hotel were super sweet, even when I struggled with my Spanish, they were helpful. When we were there power went out throughout and when we called to get and ETA on work, they were reassuring and directed us toward the candles in the room. The view from our front door included stairs and the lower family pool. But really the landscaping for this place was just gorgeous and we were grateful for that.

Only minor nuisance, the shower handles take a lot of turning before water comes out and the tile floor is very unattractive. It should be white or off cream but really just looks blackish brown. And lastly, the bathroom was incredibly hot while the rest of the room was cold due to the AC. Not sure how to explain that. It was like walking into two different climates every time we opened the bathroom door. Ohh and before I forget, maybe I am new to using Booking.com but I really hated the fact that I booked this in August of 2025, thought it was paid for only to find that it was just a confirmation and NOT a paid for reservation. For people who budget, that makes a huge difference.

Location was great, near quiet part of the beach, views of sea from terrace. Swimming pool was great for families. Loved the old architecture and character of buildings/rooms. Staff were very helpful.

Beds are small! My husband and I are tall and our toes were off the edge! Rooms are lovely and traditional and rustic, I loved their charm, but would have appreciated a more modern (bigger) bed!

Es war sehr sauber!! Das Bett und die Handtücher waren sehr gut. Die Anlage ist toll und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Klimaanlage ist für einige Stunden ausgefallen, wurde aber direkt repariert.

La ubicación perfecta para trasladarte como a playas asi como a la zona nocturna y el excelente trato de todo el personal desde la llegada hasta el trayecto al aeropuerto.

The staff was incredible, restaurant staff Lupita, Marta and Alberto are so sweet. And Hotel staff Jose and Salvador helped us so much, everyone took amazing care of my mom and I. The location couldn’t be better. We had a hard time leaving!

They are renovating a lot at the moment. I couldn't use the hotel parking lot because it was closed. I had to park my car in the street what is not always a good idea in Mexico.

Beds were a little small, water pressure in shower was low. The pool showers had better pressure Staff was nice but the hotel lost some of family vibe it used to have in our previous stays It just had more business vibe. I understand policies about eating in common areas to not take business from restaurants but eating chips or cocos we have left over and enjoy in pool area instead of room Having both pools available would be nice Adding a jacuzzi and fitnesss center would be great I tried to order 2 shrimp and 1 fish taco but restaurant would not accommodate even though cost was the same. That said we like the hotel just want more family vibe Also tried to reserve big suite for 4 people. But said only for 2. Staff did say they are starting to accomoddate personal request like that

The Hotel Santa Fe is a well-equipped resort hotel, located near the beach in Zicatela, Puerto Escondido. We have a lovely stay for a few days. It is an older style hotel that had lots of Mexican charm. The staff were fantastic and friendly, speaking English and Spanish. The restaurant and bar were quite good and it was lovely having pina coladas by the pool (there are two). Our room was spacious and comfortable but a refrigerator and coffee machines would have been very useful additions. The wifi was good. The air conditioning worked well but we really appreciated the ceiling fan. Although it is by the busy beach section, the rooms were relatively quiet. But there was some noise related to hotel repairs for a couple of hours. They have a parking garage for cars, but it is a little complicated to use it since they staff need to let you in and out of the garage.

We had a great few days at Santa Fe and would definitely return. All the staff were helpful and friendly but especially in the restaurant. The room was a good size and the daily cleaning was thorough. The poolside and terraces are nicely landscaped and well maintained The building is traditional style which has its own charm. That said, the interiors need some updating, nothing dramatic but some fixtures and fittings are rather tired. This raises some problems because the refurbishmeet works which are on-going are noisy. We would ask the hotel about this before booking again. Apart from these issues, there is a great deal to like at Sante Fe.

One of the best features was the size of the room, which was very large. We also liked the terrace and pool area, which had a great view of the ocean and was a great place to watch sunsets. We appreciated that they had an "adults only" pool. The beach right in front of the hotel was too rough for swimming comfortably, but we could walk 10 minutes north along the beach to find good swimming areas with beach chairs and umbrellas for 200 pesos for the day. The hotel's location was in the quiet part of town, but close to several good restaurants.

The pools were lovely with nicely kept plants and grounds. The reatraunt was awesome every time we went. We had nachos and the cheese on them was superb. For dinner I had Chiles replenish, never had before and it was a great meal. Big portion. Nice and close to the beach and you can see the sunset from the restraunt.

We enjoyed the view of the Pacific, the colonial structure, the staff, the guests, the entire experience!

The hotel is across the street from Zicatela Beach and convenient to many restaurants. Beach access is simple. The rooms were clean and fully stocked with toiletries and towels. The pools are right outside the doors and the restaurant has ocean views along with superb food. We would stay here again.

The room furnishing and bathroom were old. They needed to be updated. Lighting was very poor.

Maybe the only thing that didn't like is that it doesn't have an elevator for elderly people.

The hotel was beautiful and beautifully landscaped. I liked that there were two swimming pools, one being reserved for adults. Our room was very spacious. The personnel was extraordinary. It was fun being able to walk to bars directly on the beach for cocktails to accompany the gorgeous sunsets.

I was suffering from a sore knee, so all of the stairs were a trial.

we very much enjoyed our stay at Santa Fe. Its location is perfect—on the beach, close to many restaurants, but off on a side street so it’s quiet and peaceful. we would like to make a special note about the staff, in particular Criselda and Iberth. Throughout the stay they were helpful and nice. Pleasant staff like them made our stay even more enjoyable.

Adding fresh fruit to the continental breakfast would be welcome!

Very expensive for what it was. The hotel needs to be upgraded and to charge those prices. Reception staff are nit straight forward about room price and type. Staff give you the line of tips when giving you poor service and a noisy rundown room when paying the big price… Quite noisy by the road side.

I hated this hotel is horrible, avoid it at all cost

I really regret booking this hotel. It’s excessively expensive for the terrible quality of services they provide. Most of the rooms seem untouched since the 1970s — everything looks old, rusty, damp, and full of mold. The place feels more like a neglected roadside motel than a proper hotel. Room The room had a terrible humidity problem, even with the air conditioning running all day. Mold was everywhere in the bathroom, and the toilet leaked and got blocked every single day — we ended up using the public restrooms instead. Every metal surface was rusty, the doors were worn out, walls full of stains, and the ceiling fan looked ready to fall apart. There was no fridge or kettle, and the curtains were so thin that light came through from dawn. The “terrace” was filthy and covered in cobwebs — clearly not cleaned for months. Overall, the room felt old, neglected, and very uncomfortable. Service The staff were unhelpful and unmotivated, doing only the bare minimum. We were three people and repeatedly asked for a third towel — five times — and never got one. Despite complaining several times about the broken toilet, no one ever came to fix it. Another big frustration: guests are not allowed to bring their own water or drinks to common areas, only those sold at exaggerated hotel prices. After paying such a high price for a low-quality room, it feels unfair and greedy. Common areas were just as bad — dirty pool, worn-out beach towels, and poorly maintained facilities. Restaurant The restaurant was another disappointment. Food was average, service extremely slow, and prices ridiculously high. Breakfast isn’t even included despite the room rate, and it’s not worth paying for — everything was cold and the coffee was terrible. Tables, chairs, and the whole dining area look like they’re from the 1970s and have never been renovated since. Overall, this hotel is a complete rip-off — outdated, dirty, and badly managed. I would never recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is terrific. We had a super relaxing time.

El hotel esta bien ubicado porque esta enfrente a la playa y encuentras camastros disponibles para rentar sin saturacion. El personal es muy amable y te atiende muy rapido. Desafortunadamente el banio estaba muy sucio, el sanitario y regadera lleno de sarro y las toallas muy viejas, las camas incomodas porque los colchones son viejos y por las noches es muy ruidoso porque se escuchan todos los ruidos de los vecinos y la musica de los bares de enfrente hasta la madrugada. El restaurante es caro y la comida no es muy buena asi que lo mejor es comer fuera. No pidas taxi desde el lobby porque saldra 50% mas caro, mejor pidelo en la calle y sera mas accesible.

El banio y las habitaciones no las limpian bien. El restaurante es caro y la comida no es buena. Los taxis que piden desde el lobby son muy caros porque pareciera que los bellboys obtienen comision por pedirlos. Es ruidoso por las noches.

Die Anlage an sich ist sehr schön, viele tropische Pflanzen, zwei Pools und eine schöne Terasse. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Für den Preis waren die Zimmer echt schlecht und verwohnt. Die Balkongeländer sind total verrostet und es besteht Verletzungsgefahr. Nachst wurden wir permanent vom TikTok scrollenden Nachtwächter gestört, da unser Zimmer oberhalb der Rezeption lag, wo dieser die Nacht verbrachte. Leider habe ich erst zu spät erkannt woher die Geräusche kamen, da außerdem die Strasse, als auch spät heimkehrende Gäste viel Lärm verursacht haben. Die Möbel im Zimmer waren großteils sperrmüllbereit.

La atención del personal fue impecable. En todo momento estuvieron atentos. Las habitaciones muy cómodas, aire acondicionado y ventiladores de techo muy bu3nls y funcionales. Ubicación excelente.

Lo que me gustaría sugerir es algunos detalles con los marcos de madera que se han mojado y se miran un poco desgastados.
