The location, pool and room were wonderful.

The location was amazing—just a short walk from the beach. The property features beautiful, authentic Mexican-Spanish architecture that adds to the charm of the experience. The rooms were very spacious, and the private pool was a great bonus. Being surrounded by nature made the setting feel peaceful and unique. The staff was responsive, friendly, and polite throughout our stay. The views were outstanding and made the entire experience even more memorable.

Alberca de buen tamaño. Cocina equipada.

Señal de Wifi muy débil dentro de los bungalows. No hay opciones de alimentos. En la sala hace calor ya que no hay AC y es difícil usar el sofá para dormir por este motivo. Una de las camas estaba muy deteriorada. El baño se descompuso y nos comentaron que "ya había sucedido" por lo que hicieron reparaciones durante nuestra estancia sin cambiarnos a otra unidad.

No está a pie de playa , sucio, las instalaciones y habitaciones nada que ver con las fotografías, todo viejo, apolillado, refrigerador oxidado, piso horrible, puertas desgastadas, viejas, despintadas, la recepción es la lavandería y de escritorio una mesa vieja despintada.... Y caro! No vuelvo

On the website it stated that we could use the facilities next door at Hotel Sante Fe. Unfortunately, this was no longer the case.

Esta bien ubicado, en la av principal de playa Zicatela. A 1 minuto de la playa. La atención del personal excelente. En general buen lugar para hospedarse. Y miy buen precio

La ubicación es excelente pues se encuentra a una cuadra del mar y en plena zona turística de Zicatela. La tranquilidad del lugar, la comodidad y limpieza de su bungalow fue excelente. Los encargados del lugar sumamente amables y dando seguimiento a tus necesidades. La alberca cómoda, limpia y tranquila.

Por el precio podrían ofrecer un desayuno gratis o, en su caso, bajar el precio.

Very spacious, comfortable apartments We loved our stay here!

The apartments and hotel split, so you have to buy a day pass (850mex pp) to use the hotel facilities which are directly facing the sea. The bungalow pool is next to a street that was a bit loud from time to time. Across the street is the beach but Zicatela beach is not for swimming and the main beach was quite busy with boats, birds and people. We did some tours that were amazing but if you are looking to swim in the sea you will not find the perfect beach right across the street. Also, people primarily speak Spanish.

It was a short stay but the staff, room and pool were great. We ate at the restaurant and the food and the service was wonderful. Great view of the ocean.

The drain in the shower was a bit clogged so the draining was slower. If we were there longer would have brought it up to staff.

La ubicación es increíble justo en la entrada de zicatela. Y con acceso rápido hacia la bahia principal. La atención del personal fue buena y todos muy amables y accesibles, tanto para dudas como para informarte

El único tema que tuve fue que reservé una habitación con una cama king size para mayor comodidad y al llegar, la habitación que nos dieron fue una con dos camas matrimoniales por lo que una ni la utilizamos y el espacio en la cama matrimonial fue un poco menos confortable

Trato amable del personal, lugar tranquilo, silencioso, cercano a todos los atractivos de zicatela. Bueno para ir con niños por alberca con chapoteadero.Interiores de habitación cuidado limpio, amplio, equipado, confortable y decoración rústica bella.

Falta mantenimiento exterior, pintura, muebles descuidados. Precios semejantes a hoteles con más estrellas.

The location is perfect. Right off the main strip, to restaurants and bars. walk to beach. The beach is however for more experienced swimmers/surfers. Everything you need is close by. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful. There is only 8 bungalows so it feels like you have the whole property to your self sometimes. The bungalow has everything we needed to be self sufficient and cook meals. We loved it so much we booked an extra two weeks. The bungalow is spacious and felt very comfortable. Would come back here in a heart beat.

Habitación con dos estancias, pequeña cocina y sala de estar cómoda. En el exterior mesa y hamaca. La piscina muy bonita y tranquila, la tuvimos para nosotros solos. En frente hay un restaurante muy bueno perteneciente a otro hotel. Garrafa de agua de cortesía.Bien situado, zona tranquila con comercios cercanos y restaurantes.

La playa no es apta para el baño por el oleaje, pero me gustó más esta zona que la playa de Puerto Escondido. Es playa para surfistas profesionales.

The Wi-Fi signal The communication between administration and staff. The fact that my granddaughter forgot her little pillow (stuffed animal) there and I called three consecutive days to ask if they find it, without any luck, was something that disappointed very much my family, This pillow had important sentimental value for my granddaughter, and now is lost.

Excelente ubicacion delante de la playa. Vegetacion del entorno rodeado de plantas y palmeras. La terraza grande y con hamaca. Hay pocos bungalows en el complejo, por lo q es muy intimo y la alberca justo al lado. Tiene cocina completa q usamos para hacernos el desayuno. El personal de recepción es el del hotel Santa Fe y son muy amables. Estuvimos muy bien en todo. La relación calidad precio. Hay ventiladores de techo en las dos estancias q se agradece. Dan toallas para la playa y alberca.

Algunas instalaciones son antiguas y necesitarían alguna renovación. Pero para el precio q tiene esta genial. Si alguien duerme en el comedor en el sofá, no tiene aire acondicionado (en la habitación doble sí, y funciona perfecto). Quizás falta un poco más de luz en las estancias

Excelente atención y buen servicio

The only negative things were the fridge since it had yellow stains and barely worked. The second negative thing was the the door lock seemed lose and felt very unsafe, overall it was a pleasant stay and in a convenient area.

It was comfortable, attractive, well-cared for and beautifully located. The restaurant was excellent.

I liked everything and would definitely return. Everything in the restaurant was wonderful except for a main course of slices of eggplant I had one night which was inedible. Otherwise the food and drink were exceptional.

Es un hotel que se ve que no le han metido 1 peso en 25 años, así de simple ventanas, cortinas, camas, toallas, baños ; todo viejísimo, es una lástima ya que el proyecto del hotel es bonito, sin embargo lo han dejado caer terriblemente.

We read some recent reviews of the Santa Cruz before booking our room that were very displeasing, yet the year before it had gotten great reviews, so we took a chance. The grounds are beautiful, stunning vegetation and shady, jungle-like feel which was a relief from the hot weather; the room was good for what we needed and we loved the balcony. This part of the beach is more authentic Mexico beach town, rather than the "Tulum-y" part down at the far end, self-conscious people out to be seen, which isn't our speed. Also, people complained about the noise from the road, but our bedrooms were in the back of the hotel, so we didn't hear the street noise. Many walkable amenities including good food and coffee, close to downtown Puerto Escondido which is great to explore and loaded with hundreds of good restaurants and beautiful sunsets across the street from the hotel.

There is a big hotel under construction across the street, so the sounds from that are constant thoughout the day. That being said, this wasn't the fault of Santa Cruz and didn't bother us that much. (this kind of thing can happen anywhere and local businesses have to keep going).

Location and vibe.

There is a rather large construction site just down the street. If they happen to be doing anything heavy, you were going to hear it during the day pretty loud.

Close to beach, great property and pools. Large suites with good layout, (Santa Cruz bungalow) restaurant with beach view.

Chairs in room need cushions as they are not comfortable. Wish they supplied coffee filters for the coffee machine. I had coffee but was not going to buy a pack of filters for their specific coffee maker for a few days

Beautiful hotel with adjacent bungalows. Close to the best beach and adoquin and zicatela...lots of restaurant choices within an easy walk. Hotel restaurant is fabulous for food and ambience, overlooking the beach

The expanding popularity of Puerto Escondido has brought much more traffic. The road to Zicatela beach is one way for traffic.The bungalows are located at a curve of this road...the noise from the cars and motos is non stop for many hours each day. Fortunately there are many quieter areas within the hotel compound that mitigate most of the noise. The bedroom of the bungalow is located at the back of each unit and is also quiet...as long as you shut the windows to sleep. The hotel and bungalows are a fairly quiet oasis in the midst of a popular area.

We truly enjoyed staying at this place, everything is rustic and non luxury but works well and it is very functional!

We stayed in one of the bungalows. Simple, clean, and very spacious. Less expensive than the adjoining hotel, yet we were permitted to use the entire property, pools, restaurant, and terrace. Great location with wonderful views from the restaurant and terrace overlooking the beach and ocean.

This place is terrible. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, quiet place for you to sleep. This place isn't for you. It's dirty and everything is run down, front desk staff are incredibly unfriendly and not helpful, there is no security so people can just walk right to your door and the air conditioning barely works. There is also road traffic right outside your door all night long.

bathroom old, no pictures on web. Drinking water from container and don’t know how old, found one roach on bed, two on floor and one big on bath. (Removed all sheets to check, dirty mattress). Friday night loud noise from bar across street. Old windows won't close, need bottles of water, all other OK, too much $106 USD per night. Stayed 3 nights, They won’t refund me if cancel. Be aware. Poor maintenance.

Great location, we had the bungalow with 2 rooms. Bedroom had airco. Great shower!

Beds were a bit hard for me 😒

Wonderful location to explore Puerto, very spacious bedrooms and a rather small hotel so never crowded. We were a large family occupying 4 rooms and had the pool pretty much to ourselves every time we used it. Very friendly cleaning staff.

No A/C in the front room making it impossible for our child to sleep in it. He ended up sleeping on the floor in our room. No breakfast plan. Pretty noisy bar across the road

Hermoso lugar, la comida del restaurante es riquisima. El servicio y atención del personal es buenisima.

Es un lugar de aspecto rústico, agradable y cómodo; salvo por el aire acondicionado que le roba lo rústico, pero que te permite si lo deseas, congelarte, de lo buen aire que es, ventilando ambas habitaciones del bungalow, y permitiendote descansar por la noche, placidamente. Es una buena a excelente opcion para las familias de 4 a 6 elementos. Ademas cuenta con minicocineta y los suficientes utensilios de cocina requeridos.

Great location, cute old buildings with lots of character. Restaurant has a great view of the ocean and a great breeze - a good reprieve from the heat.

We loved the stay. Room was clean and with plenty of room for our children. It was equipped with a kitchen and plates to make a dinner there in the room. Elizabeth was our housekeeper and we absolutely loved her. She is very knowledgeable about the area and is willing to answer any questions you may have. The beach is a short walk away, however, people are cautioned to not go into the water in that particular area is very rough. Taxis are in the area, very useful to go other ports where the water is more family friendly. Must try el cafecito down the street, el arrebato downtown, and punta brasas in punta zicatela. Visit the the Benito Juarez Mercado, try the food at the huquileñas.

The location was great. We were able to walk to the beach and lots of restaurants & bars.

We rented a bungalow that included a small kitchen. The problem was that there was no air-conditioning in that part of the bungalow. The only AC was in the bedroom. That’s not how it was advertised. We left a day early because it was so hot during our stay.

Room itself was good. Pool too.

There is a night club right in front, accross the street and the music is extremely loud, starting at around 6pm and ending very late at night, sometimes 2 or 3am

The bathroom was dirty. It needs a deep cleaning.

The location is good if you want the option to walk into town or down Zicatela beach. Many food options are available within a 15-30 min walk The pool is clean and not very busy. We often had it to ourselves which was lovely. The beach is across the street from the property (I wouldn’t call it beachfront) The rooms were clean and were serviced daily.

Overall it feels like they are doing whatever they can to save money which is crazy as the price is very high for what you get. We had to constantly request basic items that weren’t in the room - towels, facecloths etc. There is a coffee machine and a few filters but no coffee. We found out on our second last day that they do provide coffee. The property is charming and you can see how it would have been very nice when new but it’s very dated. Most plumbing fixtures are corroded and need replacing. The AC works intermittently (we had them come fix it at least 4x) and even on low will ramp up to an extremely loud mode every 30 min (not great for sleep). Overall we felt a lack of hospitality - we checked in we got our key but no other info or real effort was made to ensure that we had what we needed or even provide information about the hotel. It is also quite loud, especially as the convenience store across the street plays loud music (usually from 9am onwards).

The pool(s) were lovely and big enough for good swims. The terrace was lovely. We felt we were in our own place.

The traffic in front of place was very loud on the one way street, especially on weekends with lots of motorbike traffic.

The location was good cross street from Zicatela beach, during the night was noisy. The rooms are ok but not great, the beds are not too comfortable, the room had A/C that was good. It is connected to Santa Fe hotel (same administration) I ate seafood at the restaurant and I had food poisoning. Other than that the employees are very friendly. Other good thing about the bungalow is that you can make your own breakfast etc if you want.

This property is everything you need Security at night. Staff is so sweet and hopefully, shops are at walking distances and restaurants around the area are great. Beach is a 1 minute walk and it’s not crowded! I would stay here again
