The room was nice and clean, staff in the bar and on reception were very friendly and welcoming. Perfect breakfast.

The shower tray in our room was broken, and looked a mess, the toilet took ages to fill up, It was noisy from the room above.

You had to hold a button to get the hairdryer to work. Dirty carpet. Noise from other guests. Had to go to reception for towels.

Location was good and car park was free and right by the hotel. Staff on Reception, in the Caley Inn and breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was good, rooms clean and tidy.

Rooms are quite basic and need updating. Lots of marks on the floor and walls. Bed was not very comfortable and probably needed a new mattress. Housekeeping did a good job of making the rooms look as clean as possible and tidy.

Bed needed a new mattress and it also sloped with feet above head. Reception staff not as engaging as bar/restaurant ones.

Very well positioned in the middle of Ullapool close to the harbour. Good sized car park at the back. Lots of food options nearby therefore cannot comment on food at the hotel itself.

Very over priced for the room and facilities that were provided. Had a 'hostel' style feel and decor which was not in keeping with the high price.

The bed was so bad and very uncomfortable that I tried sleeping on floor then end of it is I left hotel just after 5am therefore never got to try breakfast

It was very centrally located

They had a strict 4:00PM checkin and it was raining and their restaurant was close due to a private function. So there really wasn’t any places to go so we sat in the lobby for 2 hours.

The hotel was central and there was ample car parking. The staff were friendly and helpful.

For what it offers, Caledonian Hotel is way over priced. The double bed was both tiny and really uncomfortable. The quality of the breakfast was substandard and finished at 9am. It's not even a 3 star hotel.

Absolutely great location and good that parking was free as a hotel guest

Hotel over charging for basic amenities and really not value for money. No lift- and no offer of help with bags. Poor shower. Breakfast served to 9am - but when we got there at 8.30 juices were empty and ran out of white bread. Hotel in need of upgrade - looks drab, and also noisy in the rooms in that you can hear every time someone walks past your door. On checking out no one enquired about stay. Really lacking the personal touch. I wouldn't stay again.

The place wasn't the best.

After checking in found that I got a disabled room but as it was one night didn't really bother, the bed was high up and not very comfortable and had a waste pipe running through the wall so when people used their toilet in the night the sound of water was heard, in the morning i couldn't get a shower as there was no hot water and brought this to the attention of the receptionist before breakfast then when checking out didn't get any apology or offended a discount just thank you for your stay.

Comfortable and convenient with plenty of Car parking

No lift to our floor, to help with the luggage. We managed , reasonably fit, but others may not be. No offer of a Porter!

Great location, Room 39 had a little "turret' just big enough for a tiny table and 2 upright chairs and lovely views over the fishing port/ferry, across the water and on to a mountain backdrop. It was a superior room so it wasnt cheap but it felt homely and comfortable. Good car and motorcycle parking. All the normal big hotel facilities and services.

It was expensive for what it was. OK, it was the biggest hotel in town and promoted itself as the probably the best hotel in town. That pushed up the prices but Im not sure it was really worth the extra money. So nothing concrete to complain about, just a feeling that I probably paid over the odds because of its status as "The Caledonian - best hotel in town"

the location was spot on,ideally situated in the centre bang opposite the harbour so we could watch the ferry coming in. Close to shops although some didn't open til 12 and we'd already moved on by then. Room was clean and comfortable, unusual layout but had walk in shower

Didn't like 2 flights of steep windy stairs and no porter to help with the bag. I thought I'd asked for a lower floor room due to my husbands mobility but we were put 2 flights up.

Good value for money, ample parking, staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent.

Our room was on the second floor and no lifts so although was offered a hand with luggage the stairs were an issue. The hotel was full but still it would have been nice if they had asked if stairs were manageable and potentially relocated to the ground floor.

Significant Noise of walking and moving from rooms upstairs from very squeaky floors and little insulation. Bed not comfortable -mattress very soft. Could not get internet in our room had to walk along the corridor to get connected

Gut gelegen, direkt am Hafen. Sehr gutes und fair bepreistes Restaurant direkt im Hotel. Gute Gastronomie auch nur wenige Minuten Fußmarsch entfernt.

Sehr hellhörige Zimmer. Man glaubt, die anderen Gäste gehen durchs eigene Zimmer.

Hotel is fine and would use again. We were only there 1 night so hard to comment to much. Our room was a little small but had everything we needed and clean and tidy. Barthroom was also clean and tidy and again had everyting you wanted. Mattress was starting to feel its age as were some parts of the building, Restaurant was ok for evening meal,Breakfast had plenty of choice from cereal to cooked breakfast buffet although the bacon looked like it was boiled ,very wet and pale looking..

Netter Empfang, Hotel ist gut gelegen. Zimmer war ok für die eine Nacht.

Kein warmes Wasser morgens in der Dusche. Beim Frühstück war es schwierig etwas ohne Fleisch zu finden und das genießbar wirkte. Der Fruchtsalat sah aus wie vom Tag davor, Käse war nur eine Sorte und nicht lecker... Bin dann zum Supermarkt um nicht hungrig zu bleiben.

Full Scottish breakfast, however the porridge was in a paper container to make yourself. No fresh fruit available for yogurt. Rooms were stuffy, could not open window; a small fan was provided for air movement.

Breakfast was good but unfortunately there was an issue with some glass splinters in my mixed fruit.

Reception was still not allocating room at 15.50 despite ourselves and another couple sitting in reception with our luggage. At breakfast the Lorne sausage was undercooked.

Stayed two nights via two separate bookings. The first night was in a twin/double room on the second floor. It was a good size. Comfortable beds and linens. Yummy cookies. Friendly staff and the lounge areas were very pleasant. Loved the location and parking was easy.

The second night I was in a single on the second floor. It was not very comfortable and needing some update. The sink in the bathroom was one of those rectangular 9x5ish size which is impossible to wash your face in without splashing water on the floor and you and brushing teeth can require a steady hand. Not sure if the engineers of these sinks have actually used them ... but a deal breaker for me.

Clean, easy to find. Great food in the restaurant. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

Only a little niggle, but by no means am I moaning, but the breakfast could be slightly better for the additional cost.

Ullapool est une ville charmante et l'hôtel Caledonian est très bien situé. Belle bâtisse imposante, à 2 pas de la plage. Bon diner (pensez à réserver, très peu de places et beaucoup de touristes) Nous n'avons pas testé le petit déjeuner, le prix de la chambre étant déjà prohibitif. Chambre confortable mais déco basique sans charme

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good - we ate breakfast and had dinner one evening.

We felt the room was small considering we had paid an equivalent amount elsewhere for more spacious accommodation. We had a long walk up two flights of stairs to our room which was not problematic for us but some guests seemed to find taking their luggage up flights of stairs more difficult.

The property is in the perfect location for the Ullapool ferry. Car parking is available

As this is located next to the ferry terminal the prices are simply ridiculous compared to the quality of the rooms. Poor standard of rooms, small, grubby.

Está viejo y mal cuidado. Habitaciones parcialmente reformadas pero con ventanas muy viejas donde entra frío y ruido. Todo está reparado con “chapuzas” y el precio es absurdamente caro para lo que uno recibe. De los peores que hemos estado en Escocia.

Located in centre of town & had parking. The staff were the highlight of our stay & food in the bistro. I can’t recall names but from the male who check us in, the female who served us food & male on the bar, all were polite, efficient & friendly. I give your hotel 5 stars for their work ethic.

The room was clean but bathroom could have done with some extra attention. It was clean but shower tray looked like it could do with some extra attention. I opted not to shower.
