The room was amazing, clean, the bed very comfortable, and I loved having a mountain view. The breakfast buffet was really good, and all the staff were very friendly. It's a good location, not too far from the city center. It's worth noting that the breakfast was very good, even though it wasn't included; it was a buffet and they charged it to the room.

The room itself was excellent. Clearly new, extremely comfortable bed, extremely clean absolutely could not be happier with my room.

The lobby feels dated and rundown, but I understand new furniture is coming. The breakfast was not good at all. Though I paid for 2 people for 3 days of breakfast, I never went down again. The buffet felt messy and poorly attended to. There were buckets for leaks in the ceiling, it was not pleasant.

Check in was quick and easy. Location was perfect, very quick drive to Mohegan Sun casino. Rooms were well cared for and clean. Very good breakfast.

Several factors affected my stay. First the TV was not working. I had to call the desk and she gave me a quick response. I had to figure it out and fix it myself. Then early in the morning the smoke alarm went off in my room! I was in the bathroom. I didn't do anything to have to go off. It was quite disturbing.

I booked a handicap room. No grab bars in shower, or near the toilet. I spoke with the manager and was corporates decision.

We absolutely love the property, the people are so friendly, always have smiles and are just so welcoming, the breakfast is always fantastic, the service is wonderful, they make you feel at home when your away from home. This is our go to when we come in, the pool sauna and jacuzzi all work well and it keeps the kids occupied, there’s also a little park for little ones on sight, a fire pit to sit around, the gym area is nice for a quick workout as well, a gazebo to relax in, lots of parking, and comfortable beds! I will say Will and Shirley are OUR TOP TWO! They are the BEST, they are a MUST SEE when we come in, they are like our family . The front desk has incredible people as well, I don’t like to name people cause you always forget one and I don’t want that to happen here, but I want them to be recognized because their work isn’t unnoticed, and it’s not always an easy job but we do appreciate them and their hard work. The house keepers they do a good job cleaning and when we stay I usually ask for the towels and bedding and do my own cleaning but I ALWAYS leave them a tip for their hard work cause it’s appreciated by us. I love this hotel because of the people and the way it’s remodeled it’s beautiful! Walking in just sings to your soul!

I’m not sure if the parking lot is getting re done but the pavement is a mess. Which I am sure it will but for now that’s the only problem we have found.

Very well maintained, and clean property recently renovated . Especially the indoor pool and hot tub areas. Friendly staff and quick easy check in processing, Lastly, enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookies. I highly recommend this premium property of choice.

Booked a king room but got a double. Moved rooms, new room the front door looked like it had been kicked in and was severely damaged, you could see in the room while standing in hall with door was shut. Told lady at counter and acted like she didn't care. Didn't write anything down, didn't offer a discount, nothing.

This hotel has had a complete renovation. Hailey at the front desk was very professional and helpful. It was a huge improvement over the last time I stayed at this hotel. The entire first floor is like being in a brand-new hotel. My room was perfect. The bar and restaurant staff was great. We had the privilege of meeting Jerry Mitchell the GM. He is a hands-on guy and takes a lot of pride in his hotel.

Rooms were together but they allowed another guest to take over one of my rooms.. Doors didn't lock. No Microwaves, no fridges, no phones. Safety concerns because there were rooms with only curtains and no doors right next to the elevators so anything could have happened to anyone walking past. I've stated a lot of DoubleTree hotels but this was by far the worst I've ever stayed at.

Property & Renovations: The property is beautiful, modern, clean, and the recent renovations were beautifully executed. The lobby smells fantastic. Staff & Service: The check-in agent was great and very welcoming. Amenities & Room: The pool area is incredibly spacious, filled with natural light, and offers plenty of seating. The shower in the room also has great water pressure. Location: The location is gorgeous, peaceful, and tucked away, yet still conveniently close to everything you need.

WiFi Issues: There was no WiFi available for the majority of the weekend (Saturday and Sunday before checkout), which is a major issue if you rely on it for work or streaming. Room Service Information: Although informed that room service was available, there was no menu or instruction guide provided in the room on how to actually order it. Room: Upon first arriving, the hotel room door was found left slightly ajar. After spending two nights, I learned the door doesn’t shut completely without you manually pushing it shut.

The TV didnt work. They said they'd send someone up to look at it and never did. Then the wifi kept going in and out so we had no TV or radio or anything. I also pre-checked in as a Holton Honors member and they changed my room after I pre checked in. Not impressed with the service.

The setting is quiet and serene. The check in was easy, quick and the staff was pleasant. The room is large and the beds comfortable. The housekeeping team was accommodating when asked for assistance. The shower and grout was full of mildew and we found ourselves wishing we had flip flops for showering. Our toiletry bottles (wall mounted) were all empty and we had to repeatedly ask for refills.The parking lot is fill of pot holes and discarded equipment. It needs a face-lift. The breakfast buffet was not enticing so we are elsewhere. In summary, the hotel needs. In short, the hotel needs attention.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We paid extra for the daily buffet breakfast and it was definitely worth it. Delicious fresh options and attentive staff. We ate one dinner at the hotel's bar/ bistro. Food, drinks and server were all very good. We spent extra for a suite and was very disappointed. The "living room" was sparsely furnished. The floor lamp no where near the couch was useless. The microwave in the bedroom was inappropriate. Not enough lighting in the living room. Only one chair for the small table, etc.. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot but the wall bottle of conditioner was empty, if the room had a pad/pen I would have left a note.I went to use the phone but no directions as to what ext. to press for any dept, just a blank phone. Everywhere inside the hotel was clean. The parking lot still had dumpsters and needs resurfacing

Our AC wasn't working, but since we were only there for one night we opened the balcony door through the night to stay comfortable. The chairs and couch were insanely uncomfortable, there is no way to be comfortable on them. The shower was a bit weird, the temperature kept shifting without touching it and the pressure was low. The mini fridge is the smallest I've ever seen and was difficult to work with. Out of the only 2 elevators, only 1 was working correctly. Overall not worth the price I paid. The other clientele in the hotel were rowdy and impolite, for example charging onto elevators before giving you a chance to get off, and while I understand this is not the hotels fault, it made for an uncomfortable experience.

This is a good location not too far from town the renovation will be beautiful the breakfast was really good although not included it is all you can eat buffet

We love the in house restaurant that is open for breakfast and dinner. We appreciate the staff and their level of friendliness and courtesy. Our need for rooms to be close together was met, and the rooms were very clean and neat

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property but every early morning (e.g. before 6 a.m.), there is zero hot water. We were told to let the water run, but this last time we ran it for 15 minutes straight and still did not get hot water. That seriously needs to be addressed.

Breakfast buffet was typical with pancakes, eggs, sausage, homefries, oatmeal, cereals We did not order off the menu. Room was very clean. Beds comfy. Suite with the sofa trundle was nice if you had little ones with you.

Couch in the suite was not comfortable for an adult for more than 2 nights.

I should have known when I pulled up and saw a totally trashed construction site. The garbage down the hill should be an indicator as to how this is run. The former green IHG lights on the top are still aglow. There is no Honors member parking, but it isn’t that. The glued up junk in the elevator that jolts upon your floor arrival makes you wonder if it is up to code. When you see your room, you think it isn’t all bad until you have three days of cold showers and a toilet that ghost flushes. The balcony is residual dirt in the track disgusting, the chairs IHG, the leak in the shower ceiling, repainted cabinet, NICE holes! and you try the microwave that doesn’t work. Because someone didn’t plug it in the back section of the cabinet, so you have to set it on the floor and write HELP in the dust on it. 2 am from the hospital that shower was mighty refreshing. Then the TV doesn’t work. It wasn’t the remote after you check the other TV and the batteries. You find out that other people don’t have hot water either and have complained. Downstairs offers to change your room. Apparently the magic rooms have HOT WATER. RUN DON’T WALK AWAY. This never should have opened like this. Ever. I wanted to use the pool. Lmao oh heck no. It probably hasn’t been cleaned since IHG. Reported to corporate. Tired of paying for garbage. NO Managers on site on weekend leaving employees to… whatever; field ticked off guests. Time to start calling these people in on the weekends to do their jobs. The girl at the desk doesn’t get paid enough nor has the authority to do anything. Close it down and fix it.

Hot water in room not hot. Took staff 30 minutes to fix issue. Whatever the door is made of inside was crumbling out of the bottom it looked as if the door had been pried open and the interior of the door broken. Looks like concrete to me.

I had to leave due to an emergency a few hours after checking in. I wasn't even given a refund on the breakfast I wouldn't be eating the next day. Will definitely stay somewhere else if I ever come to Wilkes Barre again.

The hotel was under construction, dust everywhere, heater was making a loud noise, pool closed, I had a suite one of the sink was on construction, holes on the wall, poor internet. I contacted them, and I got in return $52.00. We had the worst chistmas vacation. They didn't care about anything, and we couldn't leave because they still were going to charge us. Im not saying that I wasn't going to pay for our stay. But they could have sent an email about the situation, and we could have had the choice to go or not. We waste our time and money. That situation cause me emotional distress and anguish distress.

There was no carpeting in the room. Cold hardwood flood looks nice but was not comfortable to deal with at night or in the morning.
