Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We had a lovely visit to Drumheller! The Canalta Jurassic is located in a very convenient location to see the sights. You definitely need a car to get around though. Our hotel room was spacious and had everything we needed but did feel a little dated. There was a nice breakfast room with just enough choice.

I found the female employee, when we arrived at 1 pm not very helpful. I asked if we could check in and she said that if we did not ask for that, then no. Which is fair, but when I asked if she could check if a room was available, it was a No. She could have delivered this information in a better, friendlier way.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Jedná se o skvělý výchozí bod pro objevování Drumheller a okolí. Pokoje jsou dobře zařízeny, čisté a příjemné. Snídaně je příjemná v příjemném prostředí.
Vím, že jde o specifický požadavek, ale pro nás by prostě bylo fajn mít v okolí restauraci k posezení, na večeři a po ní sklenku vína a nejen fastfoody, ale to bychom chtěli zdělat z Kanady Evropu:-)

The beds could be more comfortable they were quite firm - not enough padding on them. We don't mind firm but these were not great.

Big shoutout to James, who made personalized recommendations for local activities at check-in, accommodated my room location request, helped me with my freezer needs, and let me know when my interior car light was on at night! James deserves a raise. All the staff were friendly and helpful, very attentive.
Fridge didn't have a freezer BUT hotel staff accommodated me and helped me find a solution for my ice packs.

The breakfast room should have a notice on each table that says when you finish your breakfast please leave the table for others.It gets a lot of bus traffic and the people just stayed to chitchat.

Our first experience at front desk was abrupt. We arrived at 2:30 and was told our room wasn’t ready. We told her we were meeting family at 3:00 and she said check in was at 3:00. So we had to hang out in the lobby and change out clothes in the bathroom. Groups had come in after us and were checking in before 3:00. We were finally checked in at 3:10.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026L'hôtel est très grand avec un immense parking. Wi-fi fonctionnel. Hôtel un peu "vieille mode" mais ça ne dérange pas du tout. Petit déjeuner délicieux. Mais au delà de l'hôtel somme toute banal, c'est la ville de Drumheller qui mérite vraiment une visite. Les rues sont peuplées de dinosaures tous plus amusants les uns que les autres, et le célèbre Royal Tyrrel Museum est absolument incroyable. En face du "plus grand tyrannosaure du monde", le magasin/musée de fossiles est renversant. Les Hoodoos aussi sont superbes, même si le site est plus petit qu'on croit. Et que dire des deux canyons, Horsehoe et Horsethief ! En venant de Calgary, nous avons fait un détour par le précipice des bisons ("Head smashed-in Buffalo jump") classé à l'Unesco.
Il me semble que l'accueil aurait pu être plus chaleureux et moins guindé ... Par ailleurs la ville n'est pas terrible côté restaurants ...

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026This is not a large town so I would have to say that this hotel is adequate for any stay. The location and security were good, with lots of parking , well lit and it was easy enough to find local attractions this place. The lobby area was pleasant and the staff were great! Breakfast was standard hotel fare - nothing exceptional. The room itself was okay, clean with comfortable beds, however not a fan of putting the sink outside the bathroom. It's awkward. No privacy. Extremely small. There is an elevator in this hotel. There is also an additional charge added to the stay for a 'property fee'. All in all this is not a luxury hotel but it does the job. Value for money? At about a cost of $195 per night total for a room, it seemed on par with other hotels so only you can decide if the cost is worth it.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026The hotel was really neat! I love dinosaurs so the theme was awesome. I also really liked that the room had two ways out, the traditional way out to the lobby. Then another door straight to the parking lot. So handy to bring in luggage and to head out for the day. The staff was also amazing too. When I arrived I got a chance to switch rooms to the disability accessible king room (I'm a full time manual wheelchair user), which was awesome.
The bed in the King room was a bit high, I could still make it work for me. But for other wheelchair users, the height might be an issue. I also could not access or use the shower, which was a bit of a bummer. Yeah if the shower access was changed, I would have given my stay a gold star. I would definitely stay here again, but thought I would give more information for other disabled people!

I didn't get to use the pool or hot tub but I'm sure it was lovely. Breakfast was very well done; they even had nutella and whipped cream for the pancakes!

Breakfast starts at 6:00 a.m., which is perfect for early risers, and there was a wide variety of options to choose from. Everything was fresh and well stocked. Overall, this hotel offers excellent comfort, cleanliness, and value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Drumheller.

L'habitació, tot i ser bàsica, ens va sorprendre per la seva netedat i comoditat, i la ubicació, encara que no està al centre mateix, és bastant convenient.
