Clean and good location for city

So called bar didn't serve beer or hot drinks. No till so disappears for 5 mins to get change. Also booking.com write up misleading. There is NO private parking. Cars go in nearby underground park. We were on motorbikes and didn't fancy that so chained up outside. First staff member a bit surly when we said we weren't parking in a remote park.

Parking was not private as it was a public car park. Quite busy as it’s next to train station difficult getting to it due to one way system

Over het algemeen sober en klassiek, personeel deed weinig moeite. Gevoel van enige luxe was er niet. Ontbijt was redelijk.

Das Fenster befindet sich direkt vor eine Wand. Die Türen fallen sehr schwer ins Schloss. Wenn das Nachbarzimmer später zurück kommt und nicht drauf achtet, steht man im Bett. Leider so passiert. Das Hotel hatte auf jeden Fall schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Von "Grand Hotel nicht mehr viel zu spüren."

L'accueil à la reception, l' hôtesse très très sympathique. Le cachet de l'hôtel kitch et moderne à la fois. Un petit déjeuner très alléchant.. le buffet était très complet . Le parking proche de l'hôtel avec le ticket à 10 euro.

Dans la chambre avec salle de bain l'appui de la douchette n'est pas amovible c'est dommage. A revoir le manche du sèche cheveux qui se deboitait.. Les oreillers pas du tout à la hauteur..

Établissement un peu vieillot pour quatre étoiles. mais. rapport qualité prix correct. Par contre un parking est indiqué, en réalité, c’est le parking public de la gare avec un petit rabais. Le problème c’est de rentrer dans un parking couvert avec un gros véhicule, (normalement j’évite), en plus obligé de laisser une bonne partie des bagages (affaires de Golf, notamment )dans ce véhicule, avec tous les risques de vole que cela comporte. Que le parking soit payant, c’est une chose mais au moins indiquer sur le site que c’est un parking public qui n’est pas sous l’hôtel.

Mobilier et chambre, vieillots et mal entretenus (voir photos). À notre arrivée, nous découvrons une pancarte qui nous prévient que nous n’aurons pas d’eau à partir de huit heures le lendemain matin… Nous demandons de trouver une solution comme par exemple des seaux pour les chasses d’eau. Impossible. Aucun geste, ni aucun dédommagement. Incroyable pour un établissement avec quatre étoiles…

Location was good although very busy outside due to the bus station, the noise was not heard inside the rooms

The room was small and the décor was very tired. There was a problem with the plumbing (old hotel) therefore, the room smelt of sewage and drains. When we told reception it was ‘old plumbing’, they did offer to move us rooms. We were at the hotel for 7 nights and still never found the door for the Bar Terrence. The Bar did not open until 5pm and it was not open every day. The breakfast was basic but nice. Check you invoice before you leave, the hotel had overcharged us by 500 euro, we were charged for 4 breakfasts for 7 days instead of 2 breakfast for 3 days. The Bar bill was incorrect too

Locality, in the centre of Tours with plenty of restaurants around the area . Close proximity to train/bus station & public car park which hotel has a special rate. Large, spacious room with doors that open onto small balconies.

First room was not what was expected and was in need of refurbishing, booked a premium double but it was not what booking.com advertised. I spoke to a lovely lady on reception who managed to move us , second room was 100% better and exactly as advertised.

It was very close to the train station which was very useful. But the hotel was absolutely stunning, the staff were kind and patient and our room had air-con! It was a fantastic stay and I would happily recommend it to anyone, a fantastic experience.

I did not discover the pool table until it was too late!

L'emplacement est très bien pour visiter Tours. Le personnel est accueillant. Le confort de la literie est tres agréable.

Le petit déjeuner... je m'explique... il est servi jusqu'à 11h et nous sommes arrivés à 10h30 en salle. On s'est alors rendu compte que certains produits n'étaient deja plus réapprovisionnés comme les œufs pour se les faire a la coque, les œufs brouillés et le lard qui va souvent avec, les yaourts aux fruits.... dommage pour un hôtel qui se veut 4 étoiles. La propreté du grand hall d'entrée n'est pas top non plus avec beau de feuilles mortes qui jonchaient le sol et un grand tapis d'accueil tout de travers... ca fait bizarre quand on rentre dans un hôtel 4 étoiles 😞. L'hôtel est globalement vieillissant.

Qu’une personne frappe et entre immédiatement et sans attendre de réponse alors que j’étais en train de m’installer…heureusement j’étais habillée…une erreur de communication sans doute.

The room was extremely spacey and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and both my daughter and dog received a gift box! The bathroom was particularly nice, with both a large bathtub and shower.

The breakfast was average/good.

Ein schönes altes Hotel mit viel Atmosphäre, grossen und bequemen Betten und einem super Frühstücksbuffet. Auch unser Hund wurde freundlich empfangen. Eine tolle Unterkunft!

E' un hotel storico situato a fianco della stazione. La posizione è ottima per visitare Tours. Lo staff è abbastanza cordiale e disponibile. La colazione buona in una sala ampia e gradevole. Buona l'insonorizzazione. Presente una rimessa dove è possibile sistemare le bici.

E' una struttura storica che avrebbe bisogno di più manutenzione. Bene gli infissi che, vista la posizione, isolano adeguatamente dai rumori della strada. Non altrettanto bene altri dettagli come lo scarico del lavandino che perdeva bagnando il pavimento del bagno. Gli arredi sono datati e possono risultare poco funzionali.

Chambres: on était au 5ème, il faut prendre un escalier. Ca fait chambres de bonnes sous le toit.. Ces chambres devraient être moins chères. L’air co fonctionnait mais très bruyant.

A little dark. That was consistent with the decor and age of the hotel. However, it was a great stay and staff and we will likely visit the hotel again.

The design of fit-out was beautiful and the detail incredible. Every day I noticed another layer of detail brought together with such expertise. Such a pleasure to stay in and having a pool was a lifesaver in 38 degrees. Perfectly maintained and staff so very professional, friendly and helpful. Location is excellent-restaurant and food top level. The absolute best hotel we have stayed in this 5 week trip as everything was great.

Un grand hotel, ma forse fermo agli anni ’70. La struttura avrebbe sicuramente del potenziale, ma appare poco curata e bisognosa di una seria opera di manutenzione. La pulizia lascia decisamente a desiderare: i filtri dell’aria condizionata sono pieni di polvere e la rubinetteria è ricoperta di calcare, moquette sudicia , aspetti che non ci si aspetterebbe da una struttura di questo livello. Inoltre, non è presente il frigobar in camera. La manutenzione generale sembra piuttosto trascurata e l’aria condizionata è assente in tutte le parti comuni, cosa particolarmente poco confortevole nei periodi caldi. A questo si aggiunge un persistente odore di cibo nei corridoi, che contribuisce ulteriormente a dare un’impressione poco piacevole. In sintesi, una struttura che avrebbe le caratteristiche per essere un grande hotel, ma che oggi necessita di maggiore cura, pulizia e manutenzione per essere all’altezza delle aspettative e della categoria che vuole rappresentare.

La posizione è ottima vicino alla stazione con parcheggio interrato comodissimo co numerose ricariche per veicoli elettrici (con soggiorno lungo ci hanno consigliato una tariffa da stipulare direttamente con il park) La colazione è varia, dolce e salata con prodotti sempre freschi e una buona scelta tuttavia poca varietà di brioche Positiva la presenza di aria condizionata Personale alla reception cortese, ma poco incline al saluto almeno nel pomeriggio sera

Abbiamo prenotato 2 camere matrimoniali con largo anticipo 4-5 mesi, come di consueto visionando le immagini dell'opzione "seleziona la camera" . All'arrivo ci sistemano nel sotto tetto 5 piano che non è raggiungibile con ascensore (almeno per i clienti) si arriva al 4 e si prosegue per una scala angusta... il giorno dopo ci accorgiamo che non erano quelle prenotate ma decidiamo di adattarci ugualmente senza lamentarci Ma abbiamo fatto male, la camera e da albergo 2 stelle : La camera è molto piccola a stento cammini intorno al letto, arredamento vecchio, l' armadio con anta in ferro come gli armadietti degli spogliatoi della piscina, bagno nota dolente : mattonella rotta della vasca, e lo sciacquone del bagno utilizzabile ogni 15 -20 minuti.... l'acqua sempre calda (niente acqua fredda) o bollente da ustione Il servizio di pulizia delle camere (le signore erano molto gentili ma forse troppo poche) non si sapeva a che ora sarebbe arrivato alle 14 alle 15 o alle 16 , il pomeriggio rimanevamo in stanza per troppo caldo e quindi a volte rinunciavamo alla pulizia, a volte uscivamo dalla stanza e aspettavamo nella hall ... Se questo è un hotel 4 stelle... il 5 piano è da 2 stelle forse, non è giusto vendere queste camere allo stesso prezzo delle altre ...e mettere bellissime fotografie quando può capitarti che ti rifilino una camera così... Mi dispiace per la signorina che ha sopportato le mie lamentele quando mi è stato chiesto come fosse andato il soggiorno, non è responsabilità sua . Spero per loro che decidano a ristrutturarle, non ripondetemi che avrei potuto lamentarmi lo stato in cui sono le camere lo conoscete bene, ma decidete di venderle ugualmente... Erst einmal das sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Personal. Die absolut hervorragende Lage; alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß, oder wie in meinem Fall mit dem Rollstuhl erreichbar. Die Tram und der Bahnhof direkt nebenan! Das Zimmer war geräumig und das Bad sehr groß.

It’s a nice hotel form de outside, and also inside but, it consider as a 4 star hotel it’s been a little careless and you can notice it in the carpet stains, bedroom floor, etc.

Leuke sfeer, authentiek, vriendelijk ontvangst, nette kamer. Prima ontbijt. Zeer fijne ligging, zowel met auto als met trien ( recht tegenover centraal station) bereikbaar. Alles aanwezig op nette kamer.

Bij ontbijt was veel op. Ze liepen wel hard om alles aan te vullen.

This is a lovely hotel architecturally. The communal areas downstairs and lift have faded grandeur. Some people will like it, some may not - but we thought it a fine antidote to chain hotels. The bedrooms themselves are well-sized and comfortable, although the bathrooms (on the fourth floor) are small. BUT - great value, friendly staff, well located… and on the whole we liked Grand Hotel de Tours very much and would return.

Graffiti on the exterior to the right of the entrance destroys the feel of what is clearly a ‘grand hotel’. The communal hallways need new decor on the fourth floor. Reminded me a little too much of the 1970s, and not in a retro chic way.
