It was so quiet despite being city centre, and the underground car park was a real plus.

The breakfast was OK but not a patch on Premier Inn breakfasts!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the location was good.

The room was very tight for four people. There was no real space for us to put our suitcase or move around.

I stay in this hotel at least once a month. It is very clean and the breakfasts are great. It's basic, but comfortable. I did pay quite a lot for this stay compared to others. I don't think I got value for money for this particular stay. An additional 200 pounds compared to a previous stay doesn't make sense.

Rooms and services were all very good. Location was very good, close to Birmingham New Street station, a stone's throw from a great pub and just a short walk from excellent restaurants.

Our stay was for the test match at Edgbaston in the 9/9/26. So two nights were our ideal choice. Friendly welcome as always , car parked safely for our stay. New lifts and comfortable bed and showers etc. plenty of refreshments available.

Not a criticism, but lighting in room could have been improved slightly. In bed area , lights in headboard not enough. Could be upgraded to directional ones. Room 307 on Lionel Street side. Only observation to make.

Location was excellent for our visit. Close to Opheem and a short walk from the station. Breakfast was better than expected although maple syrup to go with the pancakes would have been appreciated.

Ice machine was not working for early evening drinks and we were advised it would not be fixed for a nightcap - no freezers on the premises? Lighting in the room was insufficient- a centre light would have been better.

It was central to where we needed to be. Our room was clean & semi functional. Breakfast was nicely arranged. Secure parking.

Major no no for me was the dining staff removing plates etc off tables whilst we were still eating - found this rude & disrespectful. Hot food was added to, not rotated around. The water tanks in both the dining room & reception need regular cleaning before reusing, not just topping up. The lighting in the room was dismal. Only one chair in a twin/double room. Sockets are not close enough to mirror to use hair styling products. The chairs in the bar/dining areas are old & battered. No ice facility.

Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Room smelt nice and felt cosy. Breakfast was great. The underground parking was really helpful. It cost £15 for 24 hours. However we were lucky it wasn't a very busy night at the hotel as it's not a huge carpark so you could quite easily pay for parking, leave the hotel for an evening and return to find no space. I'd have been annoyed if that happened but luckily there were spaces on my return around 11pm.

The sofa bed was smaller than I imagined.

The room was a great size, with a large bed and many plug sockets - always good, especially when they're next to the bed. The new air con system was mostly great, but sometimes it seemed to suddenly get warmer when we wanted it colder. And the 'big light' could have been with being a little brighter as it wasn't easy to see when applying make-up at the desk. The lighting in the bathroom was much better (but meant standing). The shower was excellent. Enjoyed breakfast with a good range of tasty options. Decaf tea was a nice surprise. And the location was great for us as we had plans for both nights of our stay which were in opposite directions but still easily accessible by foot, as was the shopping we did during the day. Car park was also very good with many spaces to choose from.

As mentioned above, the 'big light' in the bedroom could have been a little brighter and the air con didn't always behave in the way we expected it to.

Good location (near Birmingham Museum), really good beds + pillows, everthing very very clean (room is cleaned every day). Parking below building. Kind people. All in all, a pleasure. Good value for money!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ibis Styles Birmingham Centre hotel It had everything that I could need. Having stayed at this hotel before I knew that I would be very happy staying here again. Its perfect with its location in the centre of Birmingham so it was very easy getting around on foot.

I booked online and wasn't aware that breakfast was not included in the price and if I wanted breakfast I would have to pay extra.

There was no signage on the road about the car park, just had to keep following the road round and luckily saw the tiny sign advising the carpark was there. Would’ve appreciated better signage after navigating around Birmingham chaotic city roads to get to the hotel

One lift working, people running around the floors at all hours. no phone in the room to call down. We had two small kids didnt sleep coz of it. Wen down to reception no one was around. Told the women on the day of check out and she just said ok. Very disappointed. Sofa bed was really uncomfortable for the kids. Asked about it and got told they havnt anything else.

One lift wasn't working which meant a slightly delay getting to room at busy times. This was only a little thing.

Great price in the city centre, only about 10mins walk from New Street station and the same to St Chad's Cathedral. The Shakespeare pub next door was lovely. My Queen room was huge and spacious with a massive comfy bed and all the facilities I needed. I was able to leave my luggage easily and quickly at reception, both before and after my stay. The free coffee machine and water in reception were a nice touch although I didn't need to use them. Staff were helpful and efficient.

The room was a little dated and the streets outside were a bit rough, although I did still feel safe walking to and from the hotel in the daytime.

Tap was broken in room 527 and battery remote in tv was dead . Really poor experience, so won’t stay again and tell all my friends not to either

Very uncomfortable because we couldn't open the window to get fresh air, we booked it for 4 nights but we left place the next day, At least I could get 50% of total amount paid!!!!!! Also paid £60 at counter for parking for 4 nights but I only parked for 1 night , At least £45 could have been offered back as a refund because I didn't use the service which I paid for !!!!?????!!!!

The hotel was brilliant. The beds were huge, very comfortable with crisp sheets and amazing pillows. The air conditioning worked really well. The shower pressure was perfect and there were nice products (albeit no conditioner). The staff were unbelievably friendly. It was perfectly located, just a few minutes from the train station and within walking distance of the canal area.
