I phoned called to be asked if I can check in 30 mins early and they let me which was super useful as had a quick turn around to get out again

When we came back we weekend allows to sit at the bar seats as they were shut… but could Order drinks from reception so the staff moved the bar stool chairs from the bar are 3 meters to reception. Seemed a little weird as we were allows a drink and to stay in the reception.

Easy check in, close to the Utilita arena

Just needs a little maintenance, shower door handle was loose, showers door did not close properly. Couple of bathroom tiles were loose, tv remote wasn’t great.

The staff were really nice and helpful. That was definitely the highlight of the stay. The bed was comfy.

The photos are not showing the real state of the room. It is very dated and there were stains on the sofa. The floor was very dirty, my daughter was crawling on the floor and her clothes and hands ended up being black. Not great. We told them up front we have a baby, however they have given us a room on the floor where there was several rooms partying, yelling, slamming the doors,… Nothing wrong with partying in general, just don’t put people with babies and children on the same floor. We didn’t sleep well. The shower only had a little shower gel dispenser, no shampoo.

Great location. Well stocked kitchen, dishwasher tablet and tea towel, spare coffee pods, milk for drinks. Big fluffy towels and a full length mirror. Great having a 24hr bar and pizza. Reception staff and security helpful and friendly. Considering how busy it was the room was very quiet. Apartment was simple but suited for our needs. Coop round the corner.

Very close to so many things including Sealife, High Street and the Utilita Arena. The staff are so supportive and helpful, and have security in the later hours which makes it feel a lot safer. The beds are actually so comfy as well which is always a plus.

Twice I was walked in on my maintenance men who claimed they needed to fix something in the room and didn’t know it was occupied. TWICE in an overnight stay. The first was just an hour after I checked in and then again in the morning a different maintenance man walked in on me while I was naked. They didn’t even knock beforehand to double check, just opened the room and walked straight in. Both said they weren’t aware it was occupied. This is extremely concerning and made me feel very unsafe, imagine if I had been travelling solo. Spoke to the team at reception and were told they’d look into it. Should not have happened in the first place, not the first time but especially not the second time.

1st room was very smelly, a strong smell of previous occupants dinner. Sheets to both beds were covered in hairs! Yukkkk! Floors were sticky and paintwork could definitely of done with a clean. We asked to be moved to another room. Reception staff were happy to arrange this. New room was somewhat cleaner, but I’m glad I was only there for one night.

We loved everything- even before we arrived and I called to ask about parking, the staff were friendly and helpful. On check in they were smiley and gave us free upgrade. The apartment was perfect - immaculate and great facilities. We slept so well! Opted for breakfast and didn't regret it - great coffee and wide selection of items. Great area to explore - lots of bars/ cafes close by but felt safe and quiet. Thanks especially to Celia 😊

Lifts didn’t work numerous times, which means we were charged for an Uber we didn’t actually take as we couldn’t get downstairs for ages as loft wouldn’t allow us to go down to 0. Places like bathroom need an extra look at when being cleaned and ensuring choking hazards for babies/toddlers are removed

I had a great stay at StayCity Aparthotels in Birmingham! I previously stayed in the one in Greenwich London and both times it has exceeded my expectations, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again

Modern hotel, facilities were great with kettle and toaster really useful. Beds really comfy and excellent central location. Staff super helpful! Gym great added bonus although didn’t use it this time.

Could hear every door on floor closing in the night. Soft close would make the facilities perfect!

Excellent value for money! The hotel room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated with lots of amenities such as a dishwasher and coffee machine! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the reception had a reasonably priced bar and shop for essentials. I believe there was even a gym but we didn’t get chance to see it.

I loved everything about the property, and the front desk team was exceptional. I would particularly like to commend Celia, Yasmine, Dheminy, Magda, and Michelle for providing outstanding customer service and attentively catering to my every need. Their warm and welcoming demeanour created a genuinely inviting atmosphere that will undoubtedly draw me back whenever I visit Birmingham. While the accommodations and facilities were superb, it is truly the staff who elevate the experience—management at Staycity Aparthotels should be proud to have such a dedicated team. The suite was immaculate, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with additional linens. I could not fault a single detail. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Big, comfy bed, good location between the city centre and the jewellery quarter. Very helpful and friendly staff. Kitchen had everything we needed.

I unloaded my luggage, from the road, and was directed to the car park. Unfortunately, I wasn't given the voucher code and paid FULL for the car park. I was only told about the voucher after I had checked in.

I loved how convenient it was and clean and just eveything you need , just there . I stayed in another place the day before paid double the amount and in comparison this one I had much better sleep and didn’t feel restless it was very cosy and staff were very nice and welcoming which helps

Each aparthotel room was nicely decorated and fitted out with all necessary appliances. The bar downstairs was cosy yet spacious. Staff were welcoming and accommodating - we were given an extra fan for our room. The local recommendations on request were a nice touch!

I like that the amenities provided is just like being at home but with the feel of being on holiday. You have the option to cook have food delivered. The staff members are friendly, cordial and very helpful.

The staff were lovely, I had mentioned on my booking my accessibility requirements and also the fact it was a trip for my friends birthday and not only was out room right next to the lift the staff had a happy birthday chocolate bar and card set up in our room was such a nice surprise

It wasn’t clean. Fixings came off the wall. The sofa bed was stained and not comfy at all. The access hatch in the bedroom made awful banging noises. A child was above us and just ran back and forth for hours. There was no cover over the fuse box. It came across as cheap but has 4 star so we hoped for a bit better. The toilet was hard to flush. Very bright lights outside the windows at night.

The location was ideal for getting to the occasion we were attending and the railway station. It was in a quiet street but in the city centre. Our room was quiet - no noise from other rooms, the corridor or outside, so we got a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped. The bed was huge and very comfortable. There is a lovely canal walk nearby and easy access to cafes and restaurants.

Unfortunately the shower drain struggled to cope with the power shower and the soap/shampoo container in the shower area hadn’t been refilled. But I still enjoyed it.

The smell in the corridor, the parking wasn’t well explained by the staff and we got a ticket for parking on the road. I wasn’t happy with this overall.

The apartment was really nice inside. Had complimentary tea and coffee. Everything we needed for our little break away.

The only thing I would maybe say is that it would have been nice to have a bedside table either side of the main bed.

Room was spotless, plenty of space with a family bathroom and a bathroom off the bedroom, fully kitted out kitchen, loads of spare towels and bedding, helpful staff on the front desk. Fantastic value for money.

The location was good, and staff were lovely, especially to my daughter who was celebrating her 5th birthday. Staff were quick to help with issues.

Some facilities could be improved - my mum went to change the toilet roll and the board behind it fell clean off. We also had a broken lamp and a dirty bed sheet.

It’s a very spacious and quite clean accommodation for staying in birmingham. my room came with living space, bathroom, kitchenette two tvs and a bed. I would 100% recommend. Security at night hours and 24 hrs reception, I came back to the place late and asked to extend check out time which was easily applicable at reception. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Only issue is that although my bathroom was clean, the toilet had some issues with the flush.

This was the second time I have stayed at the Staycity Apartments and once again it all worked out. The staff were brilliant on arrival and made a special notice of our children, offered them Ice Cream and had some colouring for them. We used the room for a central location for shopping ahead of the Gladiators experience at the NEC the following morning. I have also re-booked to go again later in the year when we attend a concert at the Utilita Arena.

it's very clean and located at city center where we can go China Town and Brimingham Musume so easy. Moreover, the room is very well-lit and parking space is good enough.

the toliet is a bit small, but enough for used. Besides, the head shower is fixed and we can't take it out for shower.

I "Liked" that the request for 2x single beds + 2x sofa beds was met however there was no guarantee of this; the room was booked months in advance and it was entirely "subject to availability" which is weird. Staff members were friendly and the overall presentation for the lobby etc is nice

They claim that Parking is provided as part of the services this stay offers, it does not. It's incredibly predatory and StayCity will claim no ownership of this as the parking space is a third party who will act like you haven't paid the full amount for your stay when you have and try to claim more money from you. After a Google search on the company, a 1 star review makes a lot of sense as many people seem to have this issue and it's clearly not being addressed by StayCity or even fore-warned. The rooms themselves are tiny, with the bathroom as well being incredibly small. I personally found the beds uncomfortable but my roommates for the weekend didn't share that sentiment so I'll put that one on me. It pains me to talk so poorly about this because I believe the staff members there did what they could and it isn't really their fault with the issues we had

Friendly staff. Fairly quick (same day) response to issues raised with the room. 'Gym' room to enable some cardio training (bike, cross trainer, rower and treadmill) cable machine for weights. Plenty of space in apartment if you aren't needing to use sofa beds in living space.

Significant wear and tear in rooms, tired looking finishings. Kitchen space very small so proper cooking not easy. The 'gym' is a plus point over many other accommodation options, would be better if there was more space and more weight training options.

Parking issues

really good location, we arrived early and they said our room wasn’t quite ready which wasn’t a problem, the receptionist then came and found us in the car park and said they could accommodate our early arrival and helped us in with our bags. car park which is adjacent to the hotel they give you a discount code so it’s £17.50 a day to park, really spacious in the apartment with all amenities you need, beds were super comfortable! 15 mins walk into the centre, with lots of shops, restaurants on route.
