Royal Plaza Montreux

We enjoyed the size of our room and the lovely view of the lake from it. The location was great for walking. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Parts of the hotel need refurbishing, particularly the hallway carpets.

The gym is small with very little equipment. The water fountain on reception was always empty and I had to go into the breakfast area to ask for a bottle of water to fill it up. The staff monitoring that area paid very little attention to the water fountain.

Ich habe nun zum 3. Mal dort übernachtet. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, das Personal ist aufmerksam zu den Gästen und im Umgang untereinander ausgeglichen.

La chambre deluxe est tres spacieuse, contrairement à la plupart des commentaires que j’ai pu lire concernant les chambres trop anciennes franchement j’ai trouvé ça top ! J’aime ce style un peu art déco ! Le balcon tres spacieux avec vue sur le Lac ! Mini bar bien garni (même si c’est payant). Salle de bain gigantesque avec 2 lavabo + baignoire et bidet en bonus (chose assez rare). Cerise sur le gâteau: la parking privée souterrain m’a été offert 👍🏻🙏🏻 C’est sûr que je reviendrais !

Seul petit détail: Moquette des couloirs à refaire ou à nettoyer.

Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre au 7e étage, face au lac. Les grandes fenêtres, qui s’étendaient sur toute la longueur de la chambre, offraient une vue panoramique à 180° sur le lac. Un spectacle à couper le souffle!

The views from our room of the lake were amazing

Beautiful view over Lake Geneva, room was well equipped and cool in hot temperature. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, option to sit inside and outside too, though you will have to fight off sparrows from joining you. Easy walk from station to hotel, situated on the promenade with easy walks either direction.

Très belle chambre spacieuse côté lac. Tout était parfait. Le prix un peu élevé..

Bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Zimmer und Mobiliar. Dennoch sehr sauber und grosszügige Zimmer.

The room overlooked the lake and the view was magnificent.

Parking was at a cost, which in itself is acceptable. However, one had to take a ticket every time one enters the garage, which has to be validated every time one goes out. This meant going to reception and joining a queue of visitors who were checking in. One also had to leave the garage within 10 mins of validating. For a five star hotel, a simpler method of having a card validated for the whole paid period would have been more user friendly. On entering our room, there was an overbearing stench of perfume which made me feel ill, since I am asthmatic. Thankfully, my partner finally realised this came from a towel, which was probably used by a previous visitor to wipe some perfume which must have spilt onto the floor of the bathroom. This made us suspect that our room was not cleaned properly before our visit. Even after removing the towel, the smell lingered throughout the three days we stayed there, it was that strong! Staff attitude could have been better.

何度も泊まりに来ています。 中心地より少し離れているので(と言っても湖畔を歩いて15分くらい)朝夕静かで快適。 レストランも眺めが良く、美味しいです。

Die Nähe zum See und die wunderschöne Frühstücksterasse. Außerdem fand ich die Rolläden klasse um das Zimmer komplett zu verdunkeln. Sehr sauber, gutes Bett.

Beim Frühstück Eieromelett oder Spiegelei mussten extra bezahlt werden(18 CHF) . Für einen Preis von 30CHF sollte das Ei, nicht nur das gekochte warm oder kalt oder das Rührei, welches noch flüssig war, inklusive sein.

Die Lage ist hervorragend, der Ausblick auf den Genfer See sensationell. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen und auch nicht hellhörig - dennoch ist man in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum. Die Zimmerausstattung ist optisch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist alles sauber. Die Betten waren recht hart. Das Frühstück war soweit OK - für den Preis sollte es zB. echtes Rührei, mehr frisches Gemüse etc. geben.

Die Preise waren während der Freddie Days schon sehr sehr hoch.

Traumhaft schöne Hotel direkt am Strand . 5 min bis zum Bahnhof. Tolle Terrasse.

Alte Anlage . Laut Klimaanlage und funktioniert nicht richtig.

Der Ausblick, das Ambiente und Mitarbeiter waren alle super freundlich.

Das Rührei beim Frühstück war nur Pampe und wenn man ein richtiges Rührei haben wollte, konnte man es für 10,00 € bestellen. Ich nenne das Geldschneiderei.

Ce n est pas un 5 étoiles. Chambre trop vieille, tapisserie sale et tachée tout comme la moquette dans tous l établissement. Je n ai jamais vu un niveau aussi bas pour un 5 étoiles

Nous connaissons cet hôtel pour y avoir déjà séjourné. Très facile d'accès à l'entrée de Montreux, la place devant pour garer la voiture, l'accueil, la vue depuis le hall d'entrée et la réception. Tout est parfait. La chambre était spacieuse, bien équipée. Pas de vue lac cette fois ci, mais nous étions au 6eme étage, comme demandé. La terrasse pour le petit déjeuner sur la promenade devant le lac est magnifique. La disponibilité et l'amabilité du personnel au petit déjeuner.

La climatisation était assez bruyante la nuit, mais nous l'avons simplement arrêtée. Il faudrait peut être revoir la décoration des couloirs d'accès aux chambres. Prévoir le service du petit déjeuner jusqu'à 10h30 le week-end serait une belle amélioration.

The location was perfect, balcony overlooking Lake Geneva, with an amazing view.

Use of underlying garage was at a cost, which in itself was not a problem. However, for the price paid, one should not need to keep validating ticket and standing in line at the reception, and being told that we have to exit garage within ten minutes of validating. It would have been more user friendly to be given a card valid for the time paid (3 days) and entering and exiting by tapping the card near the barrier. On entering our room, there was an overpowering smell of perfume, which made me feel ill since I suffer from asthma. After some time, thankfully my partner realised that this smell was coming from one of the towels in our bathroom, giving us the impression that towels were not changed before our check in. A previous visitor must have dropped a bottle of perfume and wiped it with this towel. Even after removing this towel from the room, the smell lingered throughout the three days we stayed there, albeit not so strong.

Room had good views from the balcony of the lake. only 15 mins walk from the town centre close to many restaraunts in town. Right next door to the new arts and concert hall that will open next year.

nothing not to like really, ok so the usb ports in the room only really support charging the one device at a time. the sockets only fit the rectangular recessed thin two pin adaptors, the bathroom and one other socket in the room will take a thin pun adaptor that is UK plug shaped.

Location was good, right by the lake

The hotel itself is quite dated and needs a refurbishment. I thought it was overpriced and definitely not a 5 star hotel (more like a 3). Goo location, room was fine but I didn’t find the staff to be that polite/that helpful. Our room was facing a very ugly car park and they couldn’t move us to a lake facing room unless we paid 250CHF more which seemed ridiculous for a half full hotel.

Close to train station, staffs are very professional & exceptionally helpful, facility is great, room is clean & tidy and housekeeping staff is friendly.

O hotel NÃO É um cinco estrelas! Parece, na realidade, um quatro estrelas decadente, que precisa urgentemente de uma Reforma! O tapete do quarto já está muito desgastado… O chuveiro é DENTRO da Banheira e oferece GRANDE perigo a pessoas de mais idade, como eu e minha mulher! Reclamei do quarto, especialmente do chuveiro e pedi uma troca de quarto; me ofereci para pagar mais, para um Suite etc. Mas, esbarrei num funcionário da recepção de imensa má vontade e que me “ofereceu um banquinho”, para solucionar o problema! Foi uma péssima chegada ao Hotel. com uma recepção muito inamistosa! Havia um número grande de Teainees (!!) - treinando com os próprios hóspedes, o seu check-in! Não sabiam fazer nada… !Minha sugestão? Escolham outro hotel, em Montreux!

Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Lage perfekt.

Leider hatte es für ein 5 Sterne Hotel in der Lobby keine Klimaanlage. Dies war bei diesen Temperaturen sehr unangenehm.

Absolument tout était parfait. Du service à l’accueil à la propreté au cadre - le personnel est aux petits soins. C’est un hôtel vraiment super et l’accès au spa est un vrai plus. Je recommande vivement!

Very nice staff, very good location, clean as it should.

Rooms are old, stained carpet and curtains. A bit surprising for a 5 star hotel - wish they could do some renovation on the rooms.
