Location of the hotel is high up so maybe not for children but peaceful when your up there plus they have a courtesy car to take you up and down to the centre.

Amazing views and spectacular bathroom with a view to mount Etna. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel.

There's a charge for the shuttle service to the town. It's small but it could have been included.

The rooms were beautiful. The pool was lovely. Staff were very helpful and polite. Free shuttle bus into town was so convenient

The view from the reception balcony / bar area is amazing. You can see all the way down to the bay, and all the way up to Castelmola. Breakfast had hot foods, cold meats/cheeses, cereals, yogurts, breaks and pastries. Plenty of fruit and a coffee machine to make your favourite brew. Every evening the bar tender recommended a cocktail. A couple nights those included fresh fruit puree in a spritzer. They were delicious. Shuttle was a lifeline to Taormina. Easy to arrange your times over WhatsApp or the reception desk. They even arranged a special route to Castelmola for our group. Hotel is stylish, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel arranged for us to visit a beach club, La Pigna. They booked us front row loungers and a shuttle there and back. It was a highlight of our week.

The room was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. Great pool area.

One tip for future guests: during the summer months, it’s important to book the shuttle in advance, otherwise you may miss out, as we did on a couple of occasions. This meant a long walk down and back up some very steep steps. It would be great if the shuttle ran more regularly during the evening, as this would make getting around much easier, particularly around dinner time.

Mooi hotel, waar we erg vriendelijk werden ontvangen. Hele gave locatie en heel fijn dat er voor een hele goede prijs een shuttle service beschikbaar was naar het centrum. Het regelen van de shuttle vanuit het centrum ging heel soepel. Erg vriendelijk personeel.

Beautiful, warm Italian hospitality. Lovely pool with viewed over the city, with fresh towels each time you visited the pool. Shuttle into the Taormina made it so convenient.

Hotel Angela is in the hills overlooking Taormina. The views are spectacular, especially at night. It was very hot in August, but at the hotel there was a lovely breeze. So much to like here: Staff - so welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast is unbelievable- huge array of different foods, all delicious. Shuttle - they have a shuttle which will take you, six minutes, to the main road of Taormina. Restaurant - WOW!! Matteo looked after us like family. Chef Roberto - best pasta carbonara and best mussels I’ve ever had. Every dish was awesome. EAT HERE!!

Vistas espectaculares al Etna y a la bahía. Habitación enorme con una terraza del mismo tamaño de la habitación. Baño muy amplio, cama comodisima, desayuno impresionante, de todo tipo de cosas saladas y dulces, incluso alcachofas rebozadas. El personal súper atento y amable, siempre disponibles para todo. Tienen una Navetta para traslado al centro de taormina. La piscina súper limpia y con servicio de bar. Te aparcan ellos el coche. No se oyen ruidos en las habitaciones.

A személyzet hozzáállása, nagyon csúnyán viselkedtek azokkal akik nem beszéltek olaszul. A busz ami a szállodához volt nagyon kényelmetlen volt igazodni hozzá volt hogy a sofőrnek nem volt kedve menni 15 perceket vártunk a 38 fokban.

Un lugar especial, vistas espectaculares, habitaciones cómodas y una gran piscina. No está en el centro pero tienen una lanzadera (de pago) que funciona muy bien. Todo perfecto para pasar unos días magníficos.

El baño un poco pequeño (típico en Sicilia) y bañera muy alta e incómoda.

I have loved everything about this place! The staff is very welcoming and helpful (and can speak English if you need it). I got upgraded to a wonderful room with 3 beds, 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi - all to myself! Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is great, with options to please all palates, including some wonderful Sicilian food. The hotel is not easily reachable by foot from the city center, but there are shuttles coming and going all the time which you can reserve in advance. There are also many tours to book to visit beautiful Taormina all around. Additionally, if you want to just relax, there is a beautiful pool and a restaurant open throughout the day. And in case that isn't enough, you also have amazing views of Taormina and Etna from every corner of the hotel. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Beautiful hotel in the hills above Taormina. Rooms were spacious and elegant! Nice restaurant also!

It was absolutely spotless. We could not fault our stay in any way. The food in the restaurant and at breakfast was first class and of a very good quality. All the staff were so very helpful, especially Ada who was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Wonderful views of Mount Etna however, due to the eruption our flight was delayed by two days! We are keeping everything crossed that it’s not delayed again! Shame we didn’t get to say hi to Jim and Charlie but their presence was everywhere. Loved the cat plaques on the wall, especially the one with the guitar 🎶🎸🎶

The hotel is beautifully maintained and managed, room sizes are excellent with open views across to Mount Etna. They are large with comfy beds and everything is very clean with good size en suite bathrooms. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good spread of cooked and continental dishes. The views from the hotel are amazing.

The hotel is very high up from the main town of Taormina but a regular shuttle service into town is provided at additional cost.

The rooms are a decent size with a nice view of Mount Etna. The pool was great and always had a spot. The overall service was great, they have a shuttle bus to the centre which is super practical. They also have contacts for spots at the beach so would suggest going through them as the transfer is included.

Minor improvement: We had planned a day trip somewhere and the reception probably knew it wasn’t great location and didn’t say anything. We would’ve appreciated a heads up but obviously they didn’t organised it so didn’t have to…

The staff was amazing! Breakfast was great !!! The shuttle to town a godsend 🙌our room was beautiful the art the attention to detail was gorgeous

Beautiful location looking over the bay of Taormina and Mount Etna. Very spacious and comfortable Junior Suite with large terrace and king sized bed. Lovely breakfast sitting on balcony overlooking the pool andMt. Etna in the distance. Wished we could have stayed longer than 1 night.

Access by car was tricky with narrow roads and hairpin bends. Parking at the hotel was also quite difficult to access, but was helped by a very nice Scotsman working at the hotel!

Die Villa Angela überzeugt mit ihrer tollen Lage oberhalb von Taormina. Ein Shuttle bringt Gäste bequem in die Stadt, alternativ erreicht man sie auch in etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstück gut, und der Blick vom Zimmer auf den Ätna ist einfach einzigartig.

The hotel has the most stunning views directly looking at Mount Etna and overlooking Taormina and the coastline all from your balcony and the restaurant and bar. It has a warm very peaceful atmosphere and we loved the paintings and decorations that gives that unique homely feel. The staff were welcoming friendly and especially helpful in organising a Mount Etna tour and going out of their way to make sure all my questions were answered. We ate in the hotel’s restaurant every night and the food was very good. It was nice to rest in the peace looking at views away from the crowds and town having been there during the day. The hotel operates a shuttle bus service to Taormina town regularly throughout the day and you can let them know by WhatsApp or you can phone them. There is a windy path down into town but would recommend getting the shuttle bus for the return. We will definitely love to return.

Hotel Villa Angela was a perfect place to stay in Taormina! The views are incredible, perched in the hills overlooking the Ionean Sea. The rooms was spacious & each room has a lovely deck with a sea & pool view. The bed was incredibly comfortable & the linens were of high quality. The daily breakfast exceeded all exceptations with so many delicious foods. And their shuttle service which took us to Taormina (town) daily was fantastic! Staff at the hotel were terrific. Next time we visit Taormina, we will be staying at Hotel Villa Angela again (but for a longer time!)
