Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Fue una excelente estadía. Me alojé en el Tropical donde hay pileta principal y pileta de adultos con muy amplias camas y techo de palma. La gastronomía muy bien. Muy buena la ambientación y se pueden recorrer los demás hoteles. La playa es de aguas tranquilas. En realidad superó mis expectativas.

Reviewed May 7, 2026Desayuno sin jugos naturales. Nada de cappuccino. Comida en general con poco sabor. No hay vinagre ni aceite para ensalada. Habitacion con muebles viejos. Espejo baño oxidado. Inodoro filtrando. Puerta de entrada con pestillo roto. Mucho transito con carritos de golf. En la noche gritos de posiblemente gente borracha. Huespedes usando bocinas particulares con su musica. No hay helado. No hay parqueo cerca de hotel, lejos en la calle. Aqua caliente solamente. El aire acondicionador hace ruido como tractor. Playa con escombros, falta limpieza.

No me gustó la habitación, no se veía como en las fotos, todo muy descuidado, tuve problemas con el baño, las llaves de la habitación se desconfiguraban, tuve que ir 4 veces a la recepcion para arreglarlas. Las bebidas del bar muy mala. En fin pase mi estadía mas desencantado que lo que pude disfrutar.

Basically the hotel is not the same anymore. There is no variety in the food. The animation team was absent all the time. The show! What show there was no show at night. Maintenance workers were not happy and unfriendly.

La reserva la cambiaron al Hotel Cofresí, hotel que es de menor categoría y como ya había ido, no hubiese hecho la reserva si era para el Cofresí

No me gustó que ellos al llegar al hotel te quieren cobrar en una taza del dólar muy alto, ya que por acá me dieron una taza más baja, y allá le dan el tablazo 50 dólares de más. El chico de la recepción muy pesado.

The hotel charge in local money and the difference from the price booked is about 40 dollars, which is not fair. Also the first room assigned was not renovated and maintenance was poor. We had to request a room change, then they give us a renovated room.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Nothing, everything was a disaster. We recently stayed at this resort in Puerto Plata and, unfortunately, it was one of the worst vacation experiences we've had. What was meant to be a relaxing family trip turned into a stressful and frustrating ordeal due to poor communication, broken amenities, and unacceptable service. The problems began at check-in. Despite having a confirmed reservation for multiple rooms under one name, the front desk couldn’t locate it. It took over an hour, and only after insisting on speaking with a manager did they “find” the missing reservations — blaming a hyphen in the last name. This was frustrating and unnecessary. A major disappointment was discovering upon arrival that the main pool was closed for construction — something never mentioned during booking. Not only was this a key reason we chose the resort, but the construction also created a noisy, unpleasant environment. We didn’t receive our rooms until after 6 PM, and by the time we did, we were informed the pool closed at 6:30 PM — yet another letdown. Once in the rooms, the issues continued: Two had non-working air conditioning One had a leaking ceiling Another had a broken shower head and clogged tub A crib for a toddler never arrived Multiple rooms had missing towels, spider webs, and a sewer smell Throughout our stay, we experienced over five power outages. We were also relocated from our originally booked location without explanation. Dining was chaotic — long lines, entry restrictions, and very poor food quality. Spoiled fruit, limited variety, and long waits meant some of us even went to bed hungry
We reported these problems multiple times. In one case, a family member stayed in the room waiting for assistance, only to be handed a mop to deal with the leak. No maintenance or AC support ever arrived. When we returned to reception around 10:30 PM, we were told to wait for the shift change to speak with a manager. We waited with other frustrated guests until nearly midnight, only to find out no manage was was available, and we were later told no such manager worked there. This was the first resort stay for several family members, and it was defined by poor service, broken facilities, lack of communication, and no accountability. We hope the resort seriously considers this feedback and takes steps to improve service, guest communication, and infrastructure. We also expect a formal response and appropriate compensation.

The pool was dirty it was always had a bunch of plastic cups. The key pad from the room wasn't working they came twice to be able to fix it. It was annoying I wasted my time waiting for them to fix it. The light went out in the morning a couple of times. I requested a crib to my room and they never delivered it the hold time I was there. I never experienced such a bad experience in resorts before this was bad.

FOOD WAS AWFUL, they do not have a lot of buffet options, and they make it imposible to get restaurant reservations. Stayed with my family 40 of us at the Presidencial suite, few of us have to complain about the ac, took us to call like 10 times and go to the lobby 4 times for them to fix and end up switching the room. My brother in law wanted to upgrade his room and pay for it and they couldn't fin the reservations it was made right there. It took them 2 days to help him. It's crazy how you want to spend more money on them to get a better room and they make it so imposible for the client. They close buffet and restaurant at the worst time. They don't do restaurants reservations on Sunday, they only open the only 2 buffet restaurants they have. So much stuff I can say but it's really sad I went with family and all of us 40 members feel the same about this resort. Will never go and will never recommend it. Almost forgot, transportation is a joke, they have a bus coming around every 50 minutes, everything is far and super hard to move around.
