No reponen las cosas cuando se acaba. No existen cosas dulces.

Looks like the Loraine Motel i was scared to go on the balcony because I didn't want to go out like MLK. Roaches running around the buffet, missing shower doors, faulty AC, bugs in light fixtures, hard beds and pillows. Mayo left out on the tables in 90+ degree heat. Pay for play dinner reservations. The Hyatt should be ashamed to let this garden style motel fly its flag. The worst accomodations I've stayed in in my life. Paid premium fees and got the motel 6/super 8. Don't do it to yourself steer clear of this resort. The staff is nice and are used to customers being disappointed to the point that they sympathize with you for being beat for your money. Kids everywhere, no adults only bars or pools. I could go on forever. Only upside is it sits on the beach and has ocean access.
⭐️⭐️ Sunscape Curaçao Resort — Honest Review I recently stayed at Sunscape Curaçao Resort from July 11th through July 17th, and unfortunately, my overall experience was not what I expected. One of the biggest issues was the internet. For the first two to three days of our stay, we had no Wi-Fi in our room. We had to repeatedly ask someone to come and look into the problem. Thankfully, Amanda the Sunclub concierge was absolutely wonderful. She was persistent, helpful, and made sure the issue was finally taken care of. I truly appreciate her excellent customer service. Brittany at the front desk was also great. She was very friendly and helpful, especially when she assisted us with booking our excursion. Employees like Amanda and Brittany really stood out and deserve recognition. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about everyone. The ladies in the Sun Club lounge were not rude, but they were not particularly friendly or welcoming either. As a guest who booked the Sun Club VIP experience, I expected a higher level of hospitality. The cleanliness of the resort was another major disappointment. The main pool was extremely dirty. The water looked murky and did not appear inviting or properly maintained. Thankfully, we had access to the Sun Club pool because we had booked the Sun Club VIP package. If we had not, I would have been very disappointed because I would not have felt comfortable using the main pool. The beach itself was beautiful, and I really enjoyed it. However, there were not enough beach chairs and umbrellas for the number of guests. Every morning, the chairs were already taken, which made it difficult to enjoy the beach comfortably. The food was actually one of the better parts of our stay although it lacked variety I enjoyed the food. The Blue Water Grill had the best food. They were open for breakfast to Sunclub guest only and then for lunch and dinner for all guests. The Hibachi restaurant was the only restaurant that required a reservation. We had a good experience there and the food was good. However, the service in general was not as good as I expected from a resort. Another issue that really bothered me was the room service policy for Sun Club members. Although room service was offered, we were required to leave a $100 credit card deposit and pay a $10 delivery fee every time we ordered. I have stayed at many hotels and resorts, and this was something I had never experienced before. Considering that we had already paid for the Sun Club VIP experience, I found the additional deposit and delivery fee unreasonable. Getting the remaining deposit refunded was also unnecessarily difficult. I had to call and was repeatedly transferred to an extension that was not answering or giving an option to leave a voicemail. I had to make this international call five times as I continued to explain this to the woman who kept transferring me. She finally transferred me to reservations and Miligene placed me on hold and called the accounting department. She then told me she did not get an answer and gave me an email to contact the manager of accounting. I was grateful for her taking the time to help me after I told her I had called five times and kept being transferred. It was a simple process for them to take my deposit so I feel like the process should have been just as simple for me to get it back. After emailing the manager she responded promptly and I had to complete a form, enter the credit card number I used for the deposit and submit it for the refund. The refund process is way too much and should not require that much work. Overall, Curaçao itself is absolutely beautiful, and I enjoyed the island and the beach. However, my experience at Sunscape Curaçao Resort left a lot to be desired. There were definitely some wonderful employees, particularly Amanda and Brittany, and one other girl whose name I can’t remember but we had a conversation about Jamaica and she told us that she was Jamaican. These three girls provided excellent customer service, but the resort has significant room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness, pool maintenance, customer service, beach chairs, and the policies surrounding Sun Club benefits. I wanted to share an honest review because I believe guests should know what to expect before booking. I enjoyed Curaçao, but based on my experience, I would NOT book this resort as I would rate it as 2 stars at best.
Resort is not as shown in the pictures. Now we stayed here 8 years ago, and it was great. But it looks like since it is part of World of Hyatt, it has become ugly. Our daughters room had a bathroom tile fall on her boyfriends head during a short rain storm. Turned out that the bucket they had in the ceiling space, overflowed. A BUCKET WAS CATCHING WATER, Thats right. Team said it was fixed, but that was just a bandaid on a bullet wound. Adjoining room had unattended children trying to get in the room through the door attached to both rooms. Security was called, nothing was done.
It was our first time visiting this country. It was an excellent experience. Some great snorkeling just foot steps away from your room, fish everywhere. Even managed to see a puffer fish. Hospitality was excellent, especially Jermaine, Brandon and Zoraida. Overall I'd visit this country again in a heartbeat.
Place was not at as clean as expected from the rating of the resort. Food options were limited in buffet. Temperature of the food was not holding. Staff not very happy and welcoming.
We absolutely loved the location. We were about 15 minutes - 30 minutes away from the downtown. The atmosphere is relaxed and they have a bunch of activities for the kids. There is plenty of chairs by the beach and pool. We stayed in building 8 which is the one on the farthest side of the resort. Our room did not have great air conditioning (we asked for a fan) and buildings 2-8 do not have an elevator (3 floors). The room was cleaned daily, except one day (housekeeper accused us of having a do not disturb sign on the door but we weren’t aware we even had a do not disturb sign in the room). The money was worth it but the buffet food was not fantastic. We were not able to hear anything from our rooms which was extremely nice.
Location was great, and atmosphere was good, but there were a lot of young children even in the clearly marked adults only swim up bar area. Rooms were okay (small) and a few folks in our group had issues with ac not working well. Restaurants were good, but we had to utilize our group concierge Amanda, who did an excellent job assisting us. We were very fortunate that she was able to assist. Another bright spot was our Sun Club bartender, Kenneth. He deserves recognition as well!! This was also a higher cost resort and we expected better rooms for the cost.
Weather caused a 2 day delay for us. Reserved deluxe ocean front room. On arrival, after our TA had already informed NINE PEOPLE at the resort about our delay, we were listed as No Shows. We were put in standard rooms after about a 5 hour wait. Our room had a great view of the restaurant roof and no air conditioning. Our friends had a beautiful view of the trees. After 4-5 days of our complaints we were finally moved to the room class we reserved. Food was mediocre at best. A couple of meals at the buffet had nothing worth eating. Most of the time food was barely warm. Other restaurants took way too long to get served and to get your food. Only really nice meal we had was the private beach dinner. The shining stars of the entire fiasco were Amanda, Novelette (Oceana) and Kenneth (pool bar). Amanda did everything she could to remedy the bad situation. Novelette was just a delight at the meals at Oceana. Kenneth took such wonderful care of us at the pool bar. We were told by our original TA that there was an Adults Only area. Boy was she wrong. One day at the Sun Club pool there were about a dozen of the most unruly kids that took over the entire pool. They were so obnoxious that someone actually complained to security!
I'm not sure who gave this resort a 4 *, maybe they cant count!!! It could be fantastic but it's badly run, constantly short staffed & most of the ones that do work there are so slow!!! It needs a full refurbishment and new management to make anywhere close to a 4*
While the natural beauty of the location is apparent from every vantage point the helpful and friendly staff is what makes this place standout.
Great staff and beaches; hotel rooms tired; wifi horrible and air conditioning was not good; Amazing snorkeling along the rocks/reef and beach/pools were very good - lots of room
The best bartender Kenneth at the sunclub bar by the pool. Always happy , best drinks. Amanda made our stay so special. She is a hard worker and so helpful. She made our 50th anniversary a special event. Novelett at the Ocean Restaurant, so sweet. Radalfi was helping us get the room we paid for. Now the place is run down and many people didn't get rooms they paid for... No air conditioner and other troubles. Employees fixing problems everywhere.
We were very disappointed, this is a two-star resort at best. The only air conditioned restaurant was the Italian restaurant so the rest of them you sit there and sweat during your meals. The selection of meals at the restaurants were horrible and the buffet was decent at breakfast but lunch and supper was almost an exact same crap every night that wasn't even worth eating as well as warm soggy fruits. Many of the people I gave tips to hardly even thanked me for them. The exception is Kenneth at the Sun Club pool bar he is absolutely phenomenal. You have to get down to beach at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. to have any chance of getting chairs with an umbrella which is very frustrating to say the least. On arrival our hair dryer did not work and we had cold water for two straight days, our room door would not latch shut properly and one day was left open for 6 or 7 hours by the cleaning lady by accident due to not latching shut. They advertise having a free shuttle that goes into the city and back but when you get there tell you that is not available any longer. The rooms are dimly lit and could definitely use a refresh. The entire place is looking kind of old. The entertainment was terrible most nights it was like people singing karaoke to pre-recorded music. Some of the restaurants were closed on different nights which was very frustrating because then you're stuck with the horrible buffet. Believe me you get way more for your money at most of the Mexican resorts, this place was not worth $1,500 more than Mexico.
The sunscape spa was amazing and Amanda gave me the best massage I have ever received in my life! Book with Amanda as soon as you arrive at the resort!!! I booked twice while I was there!!!
Would like to leave a review for Kenneth at the bldg 8 Sun Club Bar. He was super friendly and remembered our drink orders. We looked for to seeing him every day!! And wish him a Happy Birthday!!
The ocean had a lot of rocks walking in, Our toilet didn’t work for days, The air-conditioning wasn’t very cool and could not be adjusted cooler, Didn’t have a lot of hot water several days, The 24 hour snack café didn’t have much selection, Didn’t have a shower foot towel many days
The food was not enjoyable and the staff at the front desk was not friendly as other resort when I checked in. The staff Kenneth he was amazing host by the pool and was knowledgeable about helping find my way in town and other locations around the country. Over all the resort was not what I expected compared to other places.
Just came back from a week stay at Sunscape Resort and Spa Curacao. Overall the hotel is okay. A bit dated but rooms were good. The day I checked in Ghishanteny took care of my check in so easily. She was amazing. She first gave me a 3rd floor room and I asked if she wouldn’t mind putting me on the 1st floor. She wasn’t sure but took the time to check and she moved me to the 1sr floor with a walk out to pool area and beach. I loved it. She took the time to explain where things were and so on. I was travelling solo and I really appreciated it. Thanks again Ghishanteny. Ground floor level walk out to the beach amazing. Rooms were cleaned daily. Shout out to the housekeepers. Mine was amazing. Yes sometimes you don’t get all the towels you want. But who cares use a different one. I had all the towels I needed. My fridge was stocked daily with water. AC worked amazing. Kenneth the Super Club bartender was absolutely amazing. He was always so friendly and always had a smile on his face when seeing me and others. Mixed the best drinks. Thanks for everything Kenneth. Miguel at Rendezvous bar in lobby was fabulous too. Very funny and entertaining. Great drinks from him too. Thanks Miguel. Dwayne supervisor from breakfast and lunch buffet was also very good. Making sure to get the line up moving as quick as possible. Cleaning up tables quickly. Thanks Dwayne. Now for the not so good stuff. For the price I paid to come to this resort as a solo traveller I really did expect more from the food. Besides buffet breakfast which l found great. Many people found there was never enough fruit. If you came down for breakfast after 9. Less food available. Fruit was almost scarce at that time. Also major line ups to be seated breakfast lunch and dinner. Doesn’t matter where you go. At all the a-la-carte restaurants no reservations needed except for one (Japanese) which is great. But the lineups are ridiculous. Sometimes waiting for 2 hours to eat. That is absurd. Definitely not enough servers serving or cleaning off tables in between seatings. I feel bad for the servers. They are trying their best absolutely. It’s just there is not enough people helping with service and cleanup in between seatings. Again I do not blame the staff for this. They are working their hardest. I blame the management for not having enough people helping out during those lunch and dinner rushes. Again I have been to many resorts and paid a lot less, I mean a lot less, than this resort so that it why I expected way more here. Would I go back to Curacao yes. To this resort probably not.
The worst hotel we have ever been to. We travel 4-6 times a year. Almost all ocean front areas. If I could give this place a zero I would. I can’t even begin to explain what a nightmare this trip has been. We upgraded to “the club”. Complete scam. It does not matter where you’re staying in this place. It’s all the same. Do not stay at this horrific place.
bad customer service, long wait to be served. Not clean. saw roaches in the restaurants. Old hotel needs renovation. The rooms do not look like in the website. Not a lot of food variety and again roaches. Other guests complained about the water down drinks. Honestly the only good thing about this place is their beach.

The most memorable person I met at the resort was Kenneth at the sun club beach bar. Every morning he greeted my friend and I with an Infectious smile that made the day start off perfectly . He was always a gracious host and offered invaluable recommendations which we asked about for off the resort travel . This is important to me as when I am visiting a country I need to see the country outside of the resort for a few days ! Kenneth was amazing and is truly the best employee at Sun club Curacao … hands down !
Kenneth made us feel so welcomed! And he made the BEST DRINKS! Everyone was very pleasant and made things pretty simple for us to understand.
First and foremost, A huge shot out to Kenneth at the Sun Club Bar. I rate him as 5 stars! He is the friendliest, most engaging and professional staff at this resort. We very much enjoyed getting to know him. I would recommend he be given a phone or at the very least a radio as there were two separate situations in where he needed to contact help but had to leave the area in search of this help. The resort itself is OLD, although the grounds are very clean and beautiful. Our favorite restaurant was the Italian, the food was super good all 3 times with that being said, I cannot recommend the other restaurants as the food was either undercooked or over cooked.
I spent an amazing holiday in this place . Everything was perfect, especially the staff and a special thanks to Luca for making everything perfect
Drinks and food were delicious!
Such as wonderful place, everyone was so nice what an incredible experience !!! and I know Luca has done an amazing job, creating a unforgettable experience for all guest
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Sunscape Resort in Curaçao. I chose this resort mainly because of the off-beach snorkeling, and it absolutely did not disappoint. There was an impressive variety of marine life, including colorful tropical fish, flounders, and even crabs along the rocky shoreline. The water was crystal clear, warm, and perfect for spending hours exploring. The resort also offers kayaking, which was a lot of fun, although the wind can make it a bit challenging at times. The entertainment team did a fantastic job organizing activities throughout the day, and the music created a fun, lively atmosphere. A special shout-out to Cassie, who was incredibly personable, friendly, and kind—she really helped make the experience memorable. My only disappointment was the food selection. I was hoping for a wider variety of fresh fruit and more local Curaçaoan dishes. That said, I really appreciated how accommodating the chef was with my dietary needs, and the staff made every effort to ensure I had suitable meal options. Overall, I had a wonderful vacation and would definitely recommend Sunscape Resort to anyone looking for great snorkeling, beautiful clear water, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
The ambiance and the food was good we especially enjoyed the food from the buffet.
The hotel itself is very dated and in need of a serious face lift. We were changed from our orginal room because it had a terrible order coming from the bathroom, then our second room had ac problems they offered us 2 fans which we used for the entire stay also the room was very dusty.
Amazing venue! The food was amazing, the drinks were outstanding, and the view was simply unforgettable.
I had an amazing stay at Sunscape Curaçao, and a huge part of that was thanks to Kenny at the bar! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome with his friendly personality, positive attitude, and exceptional service. Kenny remembered our favorite drinks, made every cocktail perfectly, and always greeted us with a smile. He truly went above and beyond to make our vacation special. Whether we were relaxing by the pool or enjoying the evening, Kenny's energy and hospitality made every experience even better. He is a true asset to the resort and one of the main reasons we'll be returning. Thank you, Kenny, for making our stay unforgettable!
From reading other reviews, we weren't expecting a 5 star resort. There are some things we found that were above what we expected and some not so much. Here are some pros/cons of our stay. Pros: Room is clean. It was usually cleaned by 4:00 each day and that was fine with us since we spent most of the day on the beach. The king size bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Room was quiet and dark. Our fridge was stocked with water - most days. A couple of days, I had to ask but feel I beat them to getting it re-stocked. I also got my water bottle refilled at the Sun Club Pool bar if needed. Resort is an easy walk. Nothing is too far away and we were glad that we were in building number 8. We had heard complaints about the Royal Tower building being loud due to Mambo beach bars/restaurants next door to the building. Beach was great. Snorkeling was FANTASTIC, which is the reason we chose Sunscape. Sun Club pool bar bartender Kenneth was amazing. Very friendly and personable. Buffet - we liked this better than the specialty restaurants. There was more variety of food but the choices did get "old" by the end of our vacation. Grounds of the resort are well kept. Cons: We only had one sliding shower door and had asked the concierge whether we were supposed to have 2. This would prevent the water from spraying all over the bathroom floor. We hadn't heard an answer after a couple of days so had to stop at the concierge again and ask. Apparently, shower has only 1 door and they would ask housekeeping to give us an extra towel for the floor. Toilet handle was loose and it had to be held down in order to flush. A/C - room was cool especially after coming back from the beach but we noticed that at night it seemed to shut off and room was warm. We asked concierge for a fan and after not getting one for a couple days, we went back and explained more - that during the day the A/C was fine but at night it gets very warm in the room. Beach - in the resort "rules" it states no saving loungers especially under the palapas. We learned the hard way of following the rule and not getting some shade one day. From then on, we put our towels on loungers before we went to breakfast. We were out to our loungers within 45 min. of saving but other "saved" loungers went hours before someone came and sat down or didn't even bother to show. Others would use the palapas and then disappear for the rest of the day but not clean up their towels so others couldn't use them. Water's edge can be rocky so find a sandy spot to enter or bring water shoes. Food - for the most part, the buffet was pretty good compared to other all-inclusive resorts that we've been to. We didn't find the food at the specialty restaurants very flavorful and they lacked variety. Service was definitely lacking in the buffet. Most meals we had to wait to get a drink and we were usually asked as we were finishing up. We had tried to flag someone to our table but were often ignored. Drinks were ok - we did not upgrade to Sun Club. Drinks we did have were weak and soda was flat. Hospitality - we noticed staff was often pre-occupied on their phones or ignored guests. They certainly didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome. There were a few exceptions (thanks Kenneth, Anna and Edmay!) All in all, we were happy with our stay. Like I said in the beginning, we knew it was a 3 star resort when we booked our reservation. I would definitely return for the snorkeling and the beach.
The location was very nice, beach and snorkeling were great. Easy walk to Mambo beach where we had a great lunch. The atmosphere in general is up and down, many guests with MANY complaints, but for us we always make the best of it. Rooms are very dated, in need of significant repair, a lot mold and mildew, floors were filthy, our advice put sandals or something on your feet as soon as you step out of the shower. That is if you can see the floor, the lighting is very poor particularly in the bathroom, We stayed in building 8, Sun club members, I would have hoped there would be more amenities with the extra money we paid. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and were advised there would be something sent to our room, which never happened. Value quite poor for the amount we paid. Cleanliness in general was fair, see above about our particular room, restaurants I'm quite sure would not pass inspections. As far as noise I had heard many complaints from other guests, however the only issue was this past Sunday, there was a large group of people at the Sun Club pool, who were extremely loud, monopolized the entire pool and had a bottle of tequila in the pool. We had to leave the pool area, and head to the beach because of the group. The service in general was good particularly Kenneth at the pool, and our housekeeper at our room. Other: The premium bar had a horrible smell when we first arrived. The food in general was average to poor, the Oceania was good though; however the Japanese restaurant which was always "booked" we finally got in and the food was beyond poor, as well as the hostess' attitude. Lastly I ordered a simple hamburger at one of the restaurants, came out with mold all over the bun. Very pretty beach, snorkeling, and loved interacting with the Curacao local people, great food at Mambo beach. We will not be back, and we do not recommend this resort. Our fault for not really reading others reviews before booking, but knowing it was Hyatt we took the chance.
I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The facilities are amazing, the food and drinks are spectacular, and the beach and service were incredible. I will definitely return.
I must start off by first saying Kenneth at the Sunclub pool bar, by far has the best service at the property. He’s very welcoming and professional and willing to go above and beyond. Thank you Kenny, you made the trip and the sun club experience. A second shout out goes to Candy Man of the entertainment team. He’s very friendly and his warm personality is what keeps the resort alive. Without staff like Kenneth, Candy Man and very few others (like Marcia the housekeeper) this place wouldn’t be more than 2 stars. Some things that need a lot of attention to: 1. Rooms need a refresh, many outdated things as well as worn. Please fix the AC’s ! 2. More food options and variety, unfortunately there is no such grab and go food stand for lunch time (other than the cafe, located next to the lobby) so if you’re out swimming at the beach or pool you have to make a trip over there. The grill does provide lunch but again you have to throw on something and wait to be seated. The food options can be limited an repetitive. The Japanese restaurant requires a reservation and the Italian restaurant is almost never open. The world cafe is the most consistent and reliable option but again their menu and spread can be quite repetitive. 3. Although check in wasn’t too much of a hassle, the staff could use a bit more training and understanding. Many of our questions were answered with “I’m not sure” or “i don’t know”. 4. SUNCLUB BUILDING IS 3 floors with NO ELEVATOR, if you’re unlucky to not have a bellboy present or tired of waiting for the limited amount that they have to return to the bellhop, then you’ll unfortunately find yourself lugging heavy luggage up 3 flights. PLEASE FIX THIS. 5. If noise bothers you, try to get a room closer to the beach as the outer rooms are closer to the roadway and you will hear noise from the construction site across the street. Some goods things include: 1. The beach and snorkeling is as advertised, beautiful and clean, do yourself a favor and bring water shoes and your own snorkel gear and have fun. 2. Everyone speaks English and or Spanish+, you’ll find it easy to communicate with the staff. 3. The entertainment team try their best and you can tell they care, they’re there to make your experience worthwhile. Overall the trip was average, service from the bright stars helped elevate the experience while the facilities and lack of amenities and modernization set it back again. I’d give it a 4.5/10, i would come back if they ever decide to update many of the outdated things, increased staff and really put effort into elevating the guest exp. Otherwise this place will unfortunately continue to fall.
The location was great, we loved the pool and outdoor activities. Available cafe and bar 24/7 was also great! The buffet food was 7/10.
At entrance the room had that "old room" smell. It seemed clean. Baby cockroaches in the bathroom, killed 3 and stil saw another in the morning. The ac was set to 16degrees but my baby was sweating. We wanted to extend the stay but only stayed one night because of al this.
Our family had a great time at Sunscape Curacao, small issues checking in didn't get our room until 7pm after multiple checks. However waiting for our room, we couldn't complain too much because we just enjoyed everything until then. Food was good all the way through. Our bartender Ken was exceptional at building 8.
Terrible sorry but the staff was nice. The rooms need upgrading- it smelled like mold/old, several cockroaches in the bathroom, and the AC was not working- we were seeating. The food was below average and dry. We wanted to stay another night but decided to check out. The staff, activities and entertainment was great!
Beach and location
We stayed at this hotel for two weeks and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We booked five large rooms, but all of them had issues with leaks from the toilets or walls. The rooms were very old, poorly maintained, and the building itself appears to be in urgent need of refurbishment. One of the most concerning incidents was when my grandmother slipped and fell in the bathroom due to the poor condition of the room. After we complained, my grandmother was moved to a different room, and we decided to upgrade to a larger room ourselves. However, the additional cost was unnecessarily high for what was offered. The beach was the highlight of our stay and deserves 4/5. The restaurants were limited in choice, but the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the overall hotel service was only 2/5. The most serious issue occurred after our stay. I left my Rolex watch in the room safe. The safe remained untouched for two weeks, yet the watch disappeared. When I contacted the hotel, I was repeatedly transferred to the room service department instead of being connected with a manager. The situation was not treated with the seriousness it deserved, and communication was very difficult as the person handling the call spoke very little English. Overall, we lost a significant amount of money while staying at a hotel that did not meet the standards expected for its price range. I would strongly recommend a major refurbishment of the rooms and facilities, along with significant improvements to customer service and guest relations. Until then, I believe the pricing does not reflect the quality of the experience provided.
A praia do hotel é linda.
No check in as meninas não sabiam explicar nada. Ninguém fala português.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great.
Rooms need upgrading. Wr changed rooms twice but still there was a leak in bathroom
The entrainment, The staff was friendly. The grounds were well kept.
The bathroom, it leaked every time it was used . The toilet bowl was a bit too close to the wall.
A praia é maravilhosa.
I like there were a lot of activities to do and I liked the 4 different restaurants to choose from on the hotel compound . Each one in their perfect location. Very romantic.
No comments , everything was exceptionally good.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless — the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with stunning views that made it hard to leave.
I’m so excited to share my amazing experience at this resort! First off, the staff here is absolutely top-notch! We had a few hiccups on our first few days, but they were all sorted out quickly. This review is specifically for Cindiray, KAREEN, and their general manager, DANIELE! Wow. Wow. Wow!!!! My partner and I were treated like royalty by the management and their staff! This has become one of our best vacations ever, and we’d definitely recommend it. We’ll be back as soon as we can! Cindiray, KAREEN, and DANIELE, we can’t thank you enough for the hospitality, graciousness, and hospitality you and your staff have shown Rick and me! If you’re reading this and have the chance to visit Curaçao and stay at a resort, I highly recommend the Sunscape resort, spa, and casino! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Again, thank you all so much for your hospitality! I can’t wait to return!
This was a great getaway for my family. We all had a wonderful stay. Food and drinks were plenty with many options. The fire show was the major highlight of our trip. The staff were friendly. Major shout out to Amanda, Kenneth and Molly. We will definitely return.
This place is top tier I tell you… This is a great resort, with a beautiful beach and not the mention the awesome bartender (Nushki), she was amazing and soo friendly. I will definitely be back…
Easter was the perfect time to visit Sunscape Curaçao with my family. Even though the hotel was running at high occupancy, we never felt any kind of pressure or overcrowding. The property offers a long, expansive beach, which makes it easy to find your own private spot and truly relax. The evening entertainment during Easter was excellent, and the buffet was equally impressive. Kudos to the entertainment team especially Candyman for creating such a great atmosphere. I would also like to recognize Caldeno, the concierge, who was very professional and attentive, helping us with a few small details throughout our stay. This is the true essence of hospitality.
Before arriving at Sunscape Curaçao, I have to admit I was a bit nervous after reading several mixed reviews. However, my experience turned out to be completely different—and honestly, very positive. From the moment we arrived, things started to exceed expectations. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. They may not be ultra-modern, but they have everything you need, and the view is simply stunning. Waking up every morning to that beautiful Caribbean blue is something truly special. The beach is definitely one of the highlights of the resort. It’s clean, calm, and perfect for relaxing or snorkeling. The protected area makes the water easy to enjoy, and you can see plenty of marine life right there, which makes the experience even more memorable. One of the best dining experiences we had was at the Bluewater restaurant—absolutely a must-visit. The quality, presentation, and ambiance really stand out. In the mornings, the World Café buffet is very well stocked with a wide variety of options, and lunch continues to impress with fresh and flavorful dishes. And the desserts… honestly, they are incredible—definitely something you shouldn’t miss. Another thing worth highlighting is how well-kept the resort is. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is maintained daily, and housekeeping does a great job keeping everything clean and comfortable. But what truly made the biggest difference was the people. The staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care, and they consistently made us feel welcome throughout our stay. My wife and I are truly grateful and very happy that we decided to come. Despite our initial concerns from the reviews, this turned out to be a wonderful experience. It’s a great reminder that sometimes you have to see things for yourself—and in this case, we’re really glad we did. We would definitely come back.
My friends and I booked this resort in February for a girls trip. One thing about me I love a place that’s colorful, it tends to give a vibrant vibe. It was all so beautiful from the rooms to the views outside, we love a good all inclusive hotel, chef’s kiss. I must commend the staff for being patient with us. All of who we encountered were friendly yet professional. Special shoutout to our concierge Amanda and our bartender Nushki who kept those drinks flowing. Would I stay here again? Yes, Absolutely!
I stayed at Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino over Easter with my fiancée and we genuinely had a really nice time. The cultural show on Sunday stood out the most, great energy, very well done and the dinner on the beach that day was also a highlight. The rooms are quite spacious, even if they feel a bit dated. That said, the rest of the resort really makes up for it. Overall, it’s a place where you can relax and enjoy without overthinking it.
I enjoyed sunscape. Loved the beach and it is good for snorkeling. My only issue is the room is dated but who spends time in the room anyway.
This was our second stay. No shower curtain entire stay, staff told day after day, No response. Food in buffet very poor, same food day after day. Poorb quality. and service. Bar gives you a very small plastic cups, No fancy drinks here. For what ya pay should be better.
Extremely Disappointing Experience at Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino – Avoid This Property I recently stayed at the Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino for five days and found the overall experience to be one of the most disappointing all-inclusive resort visits I have encountered. Despite its promising location and amenities, the property failed to deliver even basic standards of comfort, cleanliness, and service. The swimming pool water was notably cold and visibly dirty throughout our stay. The so-called Jacuzzi or hot tub was equally cold, offering no warmth whatsoever. When I inquired at the front desk, staff acknowledged that there appeared to be a malfunction but took no meaningful action to resolve it. Over the course of five days, the issue remained unaddressed, significantly diminishing our ability to enjoy the pool facilities. Our hotel room was in poor condition—outdated, worn, and frankly disgusting. The shower drain was severely clogged, causing water to accumulate and preventing proper use. After reporting the problem to the front desk, we were assured that maintenance would be dispatched promptly. No one ever arrived, and the issue persisted for the entire duration of our stay. Additionally, there was no hot water available in the shower, making basic hygiene difficult and uncomfortable. Compounding these problems, the patio door in one of our friends’ rooms completely fell out of its frame and landed on the wife’s leg, causing injurie. Service across the resort was consistently poor. Staff members appeared disengaged and unfriendly at every interaction, conveying a clear lack of enthusiasm for their roles. This attitude was evident in all areas, from housekeeping to food and beverage service. As an all-inclusive resort, the food was acceptable but unremarkable. However, the swim-up bar—a primary reason for selecting this property—proved particularly frustrating. It opened at 10:00 AM, yet by 10:30 AM, the bartender informed us they had already run out of tequila and whiskey. When the bartender departed for a one-hour lunch break at 11:30 AM, no replacement staff member was provided. My polite inquiry regarding this staffing gap was simply ignored. Having visited numerous all-inclusive resorts and spas worldwide, I can state with confidence that this was among the worst. The combination of neglected maintenance, substandard facilities, and indifferent service fell far short of even minimal expectations for a property in this category. I would not recommend Sunscape Curaçao to anyone seeking a relaxing vacation with basic luxury or reliable amenities. Prospective guests would be well advised to consider alternative options in Curaçao or the broader Caribbean region.
Terrible food, poorly maintained/looks old, AC never worked despite being at 60 f, the only good thing, the beach
Let us deal with the good parts first. Rooms were kept clean and bed linen was changed frequently and towels were replaced every day and were plentiful. There is an adequate beach with plenty of sun beds but little in the way of parasols or shade. Most of the beach is an inch of sand over a concrete or stone base - the actual beach is only about 2-3 metres in depth. The lagoon is a good idea but was very rocky and shoes are needed advisable needed .restaurant Restaurants are very hit and miss - there was one restaurant closed each night and it was only the Japanese restaurant that could be booked in advance staff were often rude or offhabpnd particularly the checking in staff. We were unhappy with the room that we were allocated when we arrived and when we complained that the room was not what ewe booked e desk staff where very unhelpful and it was only when we said we would complain to Hyatt that our room was changed but they made us sign an agreement not to take our complaints further. The whole complex is shabby and in need of renovation - stiir rails need repairing, balcony furniture has rusted and painted over and doors and cupboards are chipped. We only had hot water one night in 10 - the rest of the time irby wa tepid at best
I would not recommend this resort. For the price, it’s not worth it at all. I would rate it 1 or 2 stars. Let’s start with all of the negatives: -my balcony door would not close all the way, leaving a gap for bugs to enter and also resulting in a lot of noise heard from my room, disrupting my ability to sleep -I found a lizard climbing on the wall in my room (picture attached) -bathroom ceiling in my room was leaking. It also had a bunch of mold on it (pictures attached) -red ants were all over the sand on the beach. They would climb onto your whole body constantly when laying on the beach. I also found them all over my room. -fireworks were heard at 12:30AM right outside my balcony on a Thursday night which was extremely loud and disruptive. I was told that it was the resort next to us— who thinks it’s okay to have a firework show for no reason at this time of the night? -very limited food options in the buffet. Same food every single day and not many options. There is only 1 buffet for the whole resort so you will likely have to wait in line to be seated too. -there is a seafood restaurant, Italian restaurant, teppanyaki restaurant, and a restaurant on the beach. The only one you can make a reservation for is teppanyaki, so if you want to eat at any other restaurant, good luck- you’ll be waiting for a table for 1-2 hours. Even though we had a reservation for teppanyaki, we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. -staff are not friendly or helpful whatsoever. No smile on anybody’s face - they all look miserable. -very mediocre “entertainment” in the evenings. No shows. Always just a guy with a microphone playing music. -wifi barely works at all regardless of where you are in the resort. Basically useless. Had to use roaming data for the entirety of my stay because of this, which ended up costing me a lot of money. -the AC in the room was extremely loud. It would turn on and off every few minutes. Every time it turned on, it would make a very loud banging sound, leaving it impossible to sleep peacefully. -gardeners start their work at 8am right outside the room with leaf blowers and other loud tools, waking you up. I can say that the only positive thing was the coffee shop (good coffee and always open).
Run down resort in desperate need of a refurbishment. Staff were very hot and miss with their service. Pool bar not open at advertised times so meant a massive queue at the main bar. Lovely beach and cove area and great location close to mambo beach. Pool not cleaned properly so felt uncomfortable getting in it.
