Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The hotel was really good. The staff were great and carried my luggage to the room. The reception staff was really good and the breakfast was really good. The pool was great. The location of the hotel was great, near bars and the marina and the beach. Housekeeping was really good too. Friendly staff.

Flight was cancelled was quick to take 420 euros per night. Room wasn’t ready for 40 minutes to 1hr on arrival. Due to “ maintenance issues “ Complained to management to receive no response. Read the other reviews complaining about air con. Not a 5* hotel no where near.
Everything poor management poor customer service poor air conditioning. Poor food. Poor cleanliness. Expensive & not 5*
Bel hôtel bien situé
Manque un espace calme et serein réservé aux adultes Très bruyant Cadre de restauration du buffet pas à la hauteur d un cinq étoiles
This hotel is my "home" away from home. It feels so peaceful, calming, warm, welcoming and caring. There is nothing I can say that could improve it one bit. It is perfect and my husband and all our family feel the same way. It is so close to the ocean you can hear the sound of the waves from the bedrooms, yet it is still serene, sophisticated, creating a feeling of being a sanctuary, where coming back to, after an incredible day on those incredible beaches, is a great pleasure.
Nothing whatsoever
Staff always friendly, been here before and highly recommended it. The place is clean from room and to all areas, especially public toilets. Another amazing holiday
We are very pleased that we chose this hotel. It definitely lived up to the expectations and we all had a wonderful time together.
This was our second stay at Princess Yaiza (which we were beyond impressed and humbled that the hotel remarked upon with a hand written note!) this along with some extra little touches such as a beach bag and small treats are the little touches that set a bar which other hotels trail behind! From the moment you set foot in the beautiful double height and airy foyer (and having had your luggage assisted by the fantastic concierge) you just exhale a deep and long breath and you feel “at-home” with the bonus of luxury and some of the friendliest staff I have met in several trips to Playa Blanca. To say the staff are just friendly is an understatement. They along with the facilities and hotel itself, are what make the Princess Yaiza stand above all other hotels in the region. They are professional, courteous, go above and beyond to assist. They have such a pleasant demeanour it’s infectious! We had a Standard Suite (with sea view) in Block C at Level 2 which is level with the family pool area. We previously similarly stayed at Level 5 in Block B, which along with Block C is again an ideal location for those wishing to be close to the main reception, restaurants and soft play area. For kids this hotel along with the facilities - multiple pool options, soft play area, Kids club has some of the most upbeat, happy and hardworking Team Animación we have come across in several family holidays who provide truly entertaining and engaging mini-disco/evening entertainment. We have opted for B&B on this stay having previously done the Half Board as we wished to explore some of the local cuisine however we found ourselves returning to the hotels own restaurants which are first class! We will 110% be back!
Our children had four fantastic sessions with Gary and Scott on our holiday and we would fully recommend the camp to any family. The atmosphere was always positive and the whole group really enjoyed themselves.
This is a huge but really well organised, clean, welcoming and fun resort! We booked a two bedroom family suite which is located in Annexe D - easily reached via an underpass connecting it to the main resort. The suite was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. The toiletries are ok but if you like me like having decent stuff for your hair etc just bring some! There’s a mini kitchenette too so useful to bring your own tea towel or buy a cheap one from a souvenir shop nearby so you can wash the small glasses and reuse them. It’s too small a job to trouble housekeeping though I’m sure they’d oblige if asked. Hairdryer fixed to wall in each bathroom okay strength wise. Robes, super comfortable slippers and flip flops provided. You get pool towels with a card system commonly used in such resorts. There is decent family entertainment in the theatre every night. We enjoyed the flamenco in particular. There is lots of live music too. The walkway areas are really pretty and the whole resort is attractive and well maintained with friendly staff everywhere too. There is a huge separate kids club (Capitan Park) which a great schedule of events to dip in and out of if your children wish to. Just register them on the app when you arrive and use the app to check out the latest events in resort. This is for up to age 12/13 but really it’s geared towards younger ones and seems a lovely set up for them. The evening dream club is 75EU per child. We didn’t use this so can’t comment further but the staff seemed lovely and switched on. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and fresh, tasty food and drink every day. Many restaurants and bars to choose from including a Japanese tepoanyaki and pizzeria in resort though they are pricy compared to external restaurants and there are many, many places to eat nearby within a ten minute walk in most cases e.g. near the Marina Rubicon. The night we landed we just ate at the main buffet which was 57EU for anyone 12 and above (steep for a child to be honest) and around 30EU for under 12s. But the food was delicious! The Iberican hams really were so much better than the usual fare you get back home. Plenty of choice for pools too. We tended to stay at the family suite pool area which was not too busy and you could always get sunbeds and this is where the very popular Aquasplash took place some afternoons. The pool was a great temperature and kept clean throughout our stay. The hotel is in an absolutely brilliant location between Playa Blanca and Marina Rubicon - easy to get everywhere on foot including the pretty but very busy nearby beach. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby including a supermarket really close to Annexe D (a Hiperdino Express which had most things you might want or need). We have booked a car to explore a bit too but for now we are enjoying a relaxing holiday in a really fantastic family friendly resort. Would definitely recommend to others.
Wonderful stay at princesa. Special kudos to The football camp and their 2 amazing trainers! This is a real benefit for our children to play football and my 2 sons really enjoyed sharing with the other kids. thank you for taking good care of them.
This hotel really has everything needed in one place for a relaxing holiday, be it a solo break or a family getaway. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotless! Just a few steps to the beach front so easy access to the main area of Playa Blanca.
Fantastic stay, great kids activities, near the Rubicón Marina which is lovely. Overall a great short stay
Excellent hotel and grounds, very good location. All Staff were excellent from reception through to groundsmen. Would definitely recommend this hotel
If you are travelling to Lanzarote with kids, the kids club is a huge reason to book! My kids (who don’t always like going to kids clubs) actively asked me to go instead of going to the beach with us! The team are truly fantastic and made them feel like family. They are highly qualified, multilingual and also put on amazing entertainment in the evening that the kids did not want to miss. For us parents it meant actual relaxation time knowing that the kids weren’t just occupied but having the time of their lives! Highly recommend!
This hotel was everything we needed for a relaxing holiday with family. Facilities were excellent and the staff were very helpful.
Amazing hotel. Kids absolutely loved the kids club event though they normally don’t like kids clubs and the facilities, people and location are all incredible. Fully recommend
Outstanding holiday! We loved every bit of our holiday. We have been coming here as a little family at least once a year since 2011 - often twice a year and absolutely highly recommend it. It was my daughter’s 22nd birthday and she was adamant there was nowhere else but Princesa Yaiza that she wanted to be! They did us proud! She celebrated her birthday at breakfast, lunch & dinner over what felt like a few days with several cakes! There was one issue of a non working air conditioner in my room for the first 2 days / but once it was brought to the attention of guest relations and the excellent management team including Vasco it was swiftly rectified with a room change which hotel staff carried out. In addition we received significant compensation with two complimentary dinners/at the awesome Don Giovanni restaurant which was very kind. We had lunch every day at Tunera Pool which we love & had allocated every day very shaded seating near the pool steps due to my daughter’s medical conditions. We will absolutely and definitely come back as soon as we can. The team at PY think of absolutely everything. Thank you once again Team Princesa Yaiza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a fantastic hotel. Right from the moment you arrive the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Hotels location, right on the beach bang inbetween the Marina and Port couldn’t be better, under a 10min walk to both a long the promenade. 4 large swimming pools, 2 at the main hotel, 1 at the ‘D block’ and another at the Kids club ‘Captain Park’. Big shout out to Scott and Gary who run the Football Camp daily 10am til 12pm. Excellent coaching, making it fun for all the kids, a few drills and plenty of matches. Our boys 7 and 10 absolutely loved it. Then there’s the Kids club staff and entertainers, what a team, they really make a difference and the kids love it. Had a great week, and already thinking about when we can come again!
Too much to mention here but not a 5 star hotel..rooms need a good overall . Toilets at the pool were disgraceful, no one mopping the very wet slippery floor Pool service was no existent.. when we finally did get someone’s attention he didn’t know what a coke was.
Always a beautiful hotel. The staff are fabulous and that's what makes it exceptional. The only very minor negative is that I would like more coffee and milk available when the room is turned on a daily basis. And when I have asked for additional from housekeeping, they seem reluctant to give it to give it to me on the spot. Overall, it's a fabulous experience.
Excellent Hotel and staff.Top Hotel.Staff were freindly and very helpful.Excellent location, everything was within walking distance
Nice hotel but service level and cleanliness of common areas is not 5*. Also almost no working pool showers and sunbeds too close to each other
Where do I start this hotel is beautiful! We have been to playa Blanca a few times and we always loved the look at this hotel so knew we had to come. Upon arrival we were offered cava and fruit juices for the kids. We were told all about the hotel and the different things which were on we got given a fabric bag with the towel cards in and our room key which was a nice touch so we could keep everything together. When arriving to our room as it was my birthday they had left a cake and a card. On the bed was a beech bag with flip flops in which may I add our extremely comfy. There was slippers and robes hung up in the wardrobe. The room was immaculate and everyday was cleaned to such a high standard. The water in the fridge was refilled everyday. They come and turn down your room every night and leave a chocolate which is a nice touch. Also the kids beds are turned back into sofas during the day which makes it a lot easier. The pool was really clean and there was plenty of sunbeds. You can take your own drinks by the pool which was good. The buffet breakfast in the mornings was one of the best we have ever had. Proper bacon and sausages and the hashbrowns were amazing! They had cava so we had a few cheeky mimosas in the morning. We went to the restaurant looking out over the pool as it had nice outdoor seating. Our kids used the kids club which was really good. My son did the football academy which was 20€ per day and my daughter went into the normal club and really enjoyed it. We also hired the court to play paddle which was a lot of fun. We didn’t use any of the other restaurants at the hotel as we wanted to go out and playa Blanca have so many lovely places to eat. You are literally close to everything the marina and the town so we didn’t need to get a taxi all week. Highly recommend the biker and the Irish bars just outside the hotel for lunch and they do live music at night which is really good. Would 100% return! Loved our visit!
Never thought I would stay in such a large hotel but a lsst minute cancellation got 4 of us here ( 2 couples). Without doubt the best hotel ever stayed in. Yes its big yes its spread over a large area ( family suites/ pool has a tunnel under the road so is away from main drag. Staff were fantastic / big spacious beautiful rooms. Breakfasts were excellent.. so much choice. Lots of lounge relaxation areas dotted around eveeywhere with sofas / beautiful furniture and decor. Our selected area in an evening per chance had musicians just turning up to do 'spots' for 30 mins one beautiful singer.. one a great violinist and the third a stunning spanish guitarist !!! Don't be put off by families / kids. Yes there were plenty but all well behaved / never had an issue with noise... Olaf and Anna ( and others joined us for breakfast on occassions but the kids loved it !!!
I spent 9 nights here in the last week of July with my 16 year old son. For context, we are a neurodivergent family whose priorities are space, hygiene, good food and relaxation. The Princesa Yaiza delivered all of this and more. We had a few service and housekeeping issues in the first few days. These were swiftly addressed by the fantastic Guest Relations team, all of whom deserve credit, particularly Carla, who went above and beyond what is expected. Guest Relations truly made our holiday special and we felt cared for in a way that's difficult to achieve in such a big hotel with so many guests with differing needs. Which brings me to the question: what is the demographic of this hotel? The answer is it has something for everyone - young families, teens, couples, friends, elderly people and those with disabilities, including wheelchair users. It is, above all, versatile and accommodating. The suites are large and comforting. The traditional furnishings are high quality and functional. The bathroom is huge and has three zones, bathing/showering, vanity area and toilet. Our suite overlooked the baby pools and we enjoyed the chatter and delighted squeals of infants having fun. It was a nice outlook. The breakfast buffets were incredible - all three of them. The evening buffet was some of the best buffet food in any hotel I've stayed in. The meat and seafood was top quality and the little individual hand made dessert cakes were exquisite. Kudos to the chefs. Suggestions for improvement. The games room is huge and empty. This could be made into a fabulous teen zone, particularly the 13-17 age group who aren't interested in the sports academies or kids' club. Monitor the reserving of sunbeds around the main pools. This was a real issue, with people laying towels and not showing up for 4/5 hours. Such selfishness is unbecomimg of a 5* hotel. Have a system for ordering drinks at the theatre bar. My son suggested colour changing lamps on the table. Trying to get served was frustrating. Finally, the spa is not utilised enough, possibly because it's extremely expensive. Either lower prices or give guests a free 'taster' session of, say, 90 minutes. Would I stay at the hotel again? Absolutely, yes. It is magnificent.
First stay at this hotel after seeing it 10 years ago whilst staying at a different hotel. Always said to the family that we would return and stay here. Did not regret! It was the perfect stay. B & B is the way to go. Best value. Stunning breakfast with 4 locations serving same vast choice but offering different settings. Staff were excellent. Location spot on. Giant salt water pool and another large heated pool. Sunbed wars not eradicated but still always beds available. Excellent gym and bookable sports facilities. Free paddle!! Would highly recommend this hotel and will be returning soon!!!
We had a fantastic stay at Princesa Yaiza Hotel. The facilities were excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Dani, the bellboy, who was extremely kind when our daughter got a small cut during our stay. He quickly helped clean and dress the wound, making sure she was okay. We really appreciated his kindness and professionalism. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lanzarote.
Great hotel, room was spacious and all areas maintained well Staff were helpful and friendly across the board, Martin and Cesar especially great with activities by the pool-my children loved them!
Just arrived back back from the most wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived and greeted by the reception lady off the bus, who took our bags and said they would delivered to our room, we were offered cold drinks on arrival, very quick check in , she showed us how to download the app and how to navigate it for all our needs. Our room was absolutely beautiful with a pool view and partial seaview- big palm tree was in the way-but not an issue. We were greeted with a beach bag with flip flops , slippers , water in the fridge, chocolates on the pillow. We had a superior room which I think was the middle type room- huge bed , comfy mattress, we had 2 sofas, Fridge, little kitchen area with sink, microwave, tea/coffee making area. Beautiful bathroom with bath with shower attachment- that was our only negative thing to say bath was old with lots of staining around edges, shower attachment could have been better but wasn’t a big issue- water was hot but you had to stand tight at end of bath near taps to get under the spray. Buffet breakfast was soooo good available in 3/4 restaurants lots of variety from cooked breakfast/ omelette station/ pancake station. Pool area was so clean , lots of sun beds available with mattress so sun bed wars!! Pool towels available and could be changed whenever you wanted. Hotel was well situated for the Marina and playa Blanca. Lots of areas to sit and chill around the hotel- didn’t do any entertainment which was available in the theatre downstairs - lots of kids shows available and a kids club with 2 kids pools- we didn’t need to use. Overall we had a fantastic stay , every member of staff was friendly polite and helpful. We will certainly be back again! Thank you for such a lovely time.
Great facilities (pools, food, bars, entertainment) and friendly, helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend it.
A really really wonderful hotel with great staff and clearly well managed. You can sense the family hotel all along. Great options for families with little children. Brilliant architecture. It only lacks a porn star… Martini course 🤣😁
Spent a week at the property with the family. Positives: - Big family suite, spacious, clean and quiet - Massive property with very good facilities - Quite good entertainment schedule for kids - Good location for beach and other local Playa Blanca commerces and restaurants - Lovely kids club for all ages (and without TVs or videogames! at least for our kid's age groups) Negatives: - Sleep quality zero due bad quality / worn out beds - Half-board dinner buffet - quality of the food was very average. In particular anything not Spanish was a failed attempt. The premium for half board is very high, definitely not worth it plus they even charge you for water ¿? Not my concept of half board. - Maintenance staff smoking in corridors - Buffett staff arguing and giving each other feedback in the middle of the dinner salon - Booked a taxi 3 days before check out through reception. Day before check out it wasn't in the system and had to remind them. - Checking out at 5am with kids and large suitcases to make our 7am flight, when calling for help with the bags I was told porter service only starts at 6am. ¿? Bear in mind that family building is quite far, 1 block across the street from lobby connected through a looong tunnel. Not what I expect from a 5* property and paying premium prices. When the bored receptionist saw us struggling including my 6 year old dragging a 23 kg suitcase, he didn't even offer a hand and waited until we dragged ourselves to his desk. In summary, not sure you get your money worth. I can't recommend and happy to try elsewhere next time in the island.
What a lovely hotel, how do they manage to have such a large establishment but remain intimate. The staff are wonderful and remember you and your preferences, the food is really amazing with plenty of choice from breakfast to evening meals. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds, good quality cotton bedding and are immaculately clean. The rooms are traditional and the bathrooms have high quality fittings, but these are a little dated, but still lovely. Shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are provided as well as a tiny, but lovely bar of soap, a wide range of other products can be ordered but I feel these should already be in the room The outdoor areas are beautiful with fantastic pools (very cold though). Plenty of beds, sunbathing areas, and shade if you need it. Two areas that I feel could be improved upon is entertainment on an evening for adults. Although there were the odd musicians the area where they sang was freezing as the large glass doors were kept open on an evening, I did feel this was a shame as the hotel has so many amazing attributes. The other area, and I’m not sure this is owned by the hotel is the indoor spa which is on site. This is woefully underused and quite a few of the rooms were awaiting repairs. This has so much potential. As well as completing required repairs Guests could receive a welcome voucher to spend an introductory couple of hours in the indoor pool, which did look very nice and could be used much more given the sometimes unpredictable nature of the weather. Despite this, this is a lovely hotel for families and couples alike, with outstanding staff, cleanliness and lovely fresh food and I would highly recommend it , especially if you like a traditional hotel that warmly welcomes you.
Excellent experience, good breakfast. Staff very helpful. Great location.
Great for families. Great staff and facilities.
Absolutely superb hotel, staff at EVERY level attentive, helpful and extremely friendly and efficient. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future.
Nice hotel and stay but rooms, especially bathrooms need updating. Sofas a bit faded and generally the room is quite tired. Lovely big comfy bed and nice and clean. We had a lot of noise from people above and next door rearranging furniture late at night and early in the morning, the mind boggles as to what they were actually doing! Breakfast was a bit disappointing, UHT milk with your coffee in a morning was awful and have you ever seen back bacon cooked in a deep fat fryer!! Pool service was hit and miss, pool a bit tired in parts and sunbeds weren’t the greatest of comfort! Might seem like i’m being picky but having stayed in lots of 5* hotels around the world I was expecting a 5* luxury to be the bees knees and it just wasn’t! Are there better hotels in Playa Blanca, I don’t know, I have stayed in few and haven’t found one yet! If you have kids then it’s great for you, there were loads of kids and it’s not even school holidays yet! There were kids playing football in the hotel reception and lounge which I was quite surprised at. Would I go back, depends if I can find better but doubt it in Playa Blanca!
Excellent hotel, heated pools, great food and staff! Rooms very big with great views from the balcony! Would definately stay again,
!Our stay at the Princesa Yaiza resort was absolutely amazing! The cleanliness was easily 5-star, and the customer experience was exceptional from start to finish. The food was delicious with so many great options, and the kids absolutely loved it. The duplex room with the sea view was amazing, and there was fantastic entertainment and a show every night for the kids. We couldn't have asked for a better family holiday!
Excellent hotel. Brilliant location with a great promenade which is good for a lovely walk and there is a fantastic variety of restaurants and shops in both directions. . Really helpful and polite polite staff. Rooms are really spacious and cleanliness throughout is great. Would highly recommend and will certainly return. Weather great, sunny with a lovely breeze. Breakfast had everything you could want.
This hotel has everything, it's staff are so friendly, the place is super clean. The food quality is very good. The overall atmosphere was second to none. I have to say it has been the best family holiday we've been on to date. You do have to ask for gluten free options especially at the breakfast buffet. And the coffee at breakfast ws not nice. But overall when we usually go on holiday we tend to spend alot of the time away from our accommodation. This hotel was so good that we spent most of the time here. I also can't forget to mention how good the staff were. So friendly and eager. We are already planning our next stay here.
We are just back from our second stay in the Princesa Yaiza and again It didn't disappoint. The hotel is perfect for families - our kids loved the kids club activities, pools and mini disco. The staff in the kids club are brilliant with children, friendly and genuinely enjoy their work. Breakfast buffet was always well stocked with fresh food and had everything you could want. The guest experience rep we met was very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely hotel with great service, spacious rooms, loads of pools and a pleasure to stay in with children. We look forward to returning!
Recently returned from a 10 day stay at the Princess Yaiza with my wife and our 3 young children - bed & breakfast. The hotel is excellent quality, very big, lots of space, food is very good, large and well kept swimming pools, well organised and very friendly staff who are available 24/7. Deserving of special mention is the kids club. It is located next door to the hotel (2 minute walk) with its own designated space with specific areas for certain age groups (0-2, 3-5, 6-9 & 10-12) although siblings of differing age groups can be together. The entire area is very good quality and really well kept to a high standard and is very secure. There is also a big pool area so parents can relax whilst the kids are playing and making friends and having fun. The kids club staff are superb and brilliant with the children - always in good spirits and keeping the kids entertained with different activities. These guys also do the mini disco and entertainment in the evenings (do they ever get time off?) Overall we had an excellent holiday and the children were very upset when it was time to leave!
Our fifth visit was as good as always, even the special touches like the freebies, and birthday bunting and fresh cream cake in the fridge, simple but effective memories, We had two issues that were resolved immediately the safe had been left open but in locked position minutes later maintenance resolved it, secondly water was very slow to drain from shower, again maintenance in before we left room to remedy it. Excellent service, food, cleanliness, great nights sleep. I will add that there did appear to be many children at the hotel this time, even in the relaxing pool, unsure if the family section under the tunnel was open but we experienced many more children than normal the hotel is pushing for a family experience which is fine but for those looking for relaxing breaks be warned it was noisier than previous so may not suit everyone, sunbed wars has also hit, towels laid out pre breakfast and not occupied until late morning when sun comes out, never experienced this at the hotel before but we had a great holiday and already booked for December.
We absolutely loved Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort. Our first impression was spectacular, the hotel has a fantastic appearance which is continued in the high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Our reception was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond for us particularly the guest relations desk who secured a wheelchair friendly pool reservation for us. My sister is in a wheelchair and it was lovely to be in a place that was completely accessible. The spa was accessible and the treatments were amazing. The food was incredible, so fresh and delicious. The sangria was the best we’ve ever had! Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back!
Excellent hotel for service, cleanliness & location. Cocktail bar closed in June, opens in July making an extra choice for a drinks area at the hotel.
Our stay in Princesa Yaiza was once again excellent, the hotel, from the gardens to the pool, to foyer, to our rooms, food.... etc. etc. I could go on and on and on... was simply fantastic..... however these are Inanimate 'things' ... becasue what makes this hotel so special are its staff... sounds simple but its not... because they all work so very hard to fullfil your every need THEY are what makes Princesa Yaiza the best... 'trust me' because from my own family experience "a friend in need is a friend indeed" is the proof that the staff I speak of are our friends...... Thank you to all the staff for taking care of us.
Lovely locations and lots of things for children
Buffet was more expensive than the à la carte.
A solid 4.5 star rating from us. Two adults and two kids, we shared two suites for ten nights. The suites were fantastic, really spacious, comfortable beds, loads of storage, nice balconies and bathrooms, could not fault them. The pools were excellent, big, warm, not too crowded. Having a regular pool where ball sports are allowed and then a second salt water pool where balls, inflatables etc are not allowed is ideal. We stayed in the main hotel which I would strongly recommend. There is another area, more for very young families, that feels a bit dislocated from the hotel, glad we didn't choose that option. Breakfast was excellent, not crowded or rushed, loads of choice, very good. Food at the pool bar was nice if a little on the expensive side. They should open this bar/restaurant for longer. It only opens from noon to 4pm, I would open it until 6pm as the other little kiosk selling drinks and ice creams is a little small and slow to get service at. We went B&B as we prefer to eat in local restaurants at night. Ate in the Italian at the hotel one night however and it was good. Nice outdoor seating area, some live music in the bandstand and the food was good. Worth a visit for certain. The bars in the hotel are very very quiet, you really need to leave the resort to get a bit of atmosphere. They need to address that a bit. The piano bar in the lobby is fine as is, suits older quests. The bar downstairs is dead, needs work. I would move the kids club entertainment to the otherside of the hotel where young families are typically located and use the theatre space for good live music to boost the bar area and provide a more lively option for quests on site. Staff were excellent throughout the stay. Overall one of the best resort hotels we have stayed in as a family and we would gladly return some day.
Also the good at breakfast was very apropiate, fruits, perhaps your gluten free bread was not very proper… said glúten free but a lot of aditivos and conservations that are not good for heath in my particular point of view
Lieu agréable très bien situé vs la plage de Rondola , calme , ses piscines , la propreté super et le personnel attentionné et très agréable Le massage au spa était super, je le recommande
Les restaurants un peu cher
This hotel is amazing. Chaima on reception is a model professional, guest experience staff amazing too!
We’ve just got back from princesa yaiza, and had a lovely holiday, from arriving you feel the luxury of the place, the reception area alone sells the place, it’s 5 star all the way, except, strangely I noticed how only 2 of the 3 restaurants providing hotel guests with meals were open, and for the evening meal just 1 which we had to use for being half board guests, I thought the choice of foods not very enticing, and on 3 of are 10 nights chose to eat out. The hotel has over 400 rooms, surely if the hotel has 3 buffet restaurants management should question why only 1 of them is required to provide food for potentially a lot more people, or is it the cost from bed and breakfast to half board that puts people off, we certainly won’t pay half board cost again, but genuinely do love the place.
Hotel was a great location on to the beach, hotel very clean staff couldn me more friendly everything about the hotel was amazing 5star is what u get 👌👌
You pay for what you get and this was a fabulous trip. Although it states you can’t reserve sunbeds, people did and so we had to. Thus could cause and issue in peak season but otherwise I can not fault it. We will be back!
This is a wonderful hotel for us. Visit 4, and although has lost a little finesse since covid, have recommended to friends and family.
Food, room, staff and hotel as a whole was brilliant.
Todo y mas
Great for families as plenty of entertainment for children although we were without children we found everything to be exceptional from staff, food and quality of the rooms. Couldn’t fault anything especially the huge gin and tonics!
Excellent quality hotel, good location by the sea and easy walking distance to good restaurants, choice of pools, good rooms
We have stayed here a number of times and it never disappoints. A special place in a lovely location. Our favourite hotel of all those we have stayed in anywhere in the world.
Great location , lovely staff & so helpful & friendly
The en-suites are dated . For over 70s climbing into a bath for a shower is not at all ideal.
Hotel was very clean, the staff were absolutely lovely, the food was top class, and the children’s entertainment and facilities were amazing. They spent all day in the swimming pools. Would love to have stayed longer and would certainly recommend this place and will certainly go back to it in the near future.
The Yaiza Princesa is an excellent hotel, perfect location, great food and very friendly helpful staff. We have stayed before and will definitely be back again.
This hotel is second to none. We have stayed here twice, and will definately visit again. The staff bend over backwards to help with any aspect of the stay. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The pool areas, gym, and eating/drinking areas are kept immaculately clean. The setting is beautiful. The rating for this hotel is better than 5 star.
Highly recommend this hotel for location, cleanliness etc, we have been coming back here every year would not stay anywhere else.
Just back from our 2nd family hotel stay. Enjoyed even more this time as we knew our way around. Location is perfect in Playa Blanca and the hotel has beautiful old style feel. Our kids are 6 and 3 and there is so much for them to do but they were mostly happy to just swim in the pools. The heated pools are amazing. Looking forward to coming back again some time.
We stayed for a week in the family block. This is a 2 minute walk in a underground hallway from the main hotel. It is enclosed and designed for families, with two pools and a games room plus buffet breakfast / poolside bar. The staff are excellent, friendly and genuine. The resort is spotless. It's right on the promenade between the town beach and the marina. The kids club is excellent and well run.
Spacious and plenty of facilities especially for children
One of the best hotels I've stayed in, perfect location, fantastic for kids and relaxing for my wife and I 10/10
The location was incredible, the playa dorada is a beautiful beach and is just in front which makes it quite practical to relax.
I think it’s an amazing place for families, perhaps not the greatest for a couple expecting a baby or just a couple.
A fantastic week stay in early June, from the friendly welcome through to our last day the staff were excellent and could not be faulted. The site is quite large and across several floors so takes a little bit to find your way around, you enter reception on level 4 with the main buffet restaurants on level 2. We had booked half board and found the selection of food to be varied and of good quality, evening dinner theme changes daily and the regular foods are also available if the theme is not to your taste. The pools were good with most families using the main pool area, The lower pool was sea water but not that salty and popular with older couples with a more relaxed atmosphere. We booked into the spa and enjoyed the sauna, steam room and indoor pool with jets, a good option if a bit overcast/windy or you just fancy a change, they limit the number of users to 10 at a time so you may need to book, towels and lockers are provided but bring your robe if you have one in your suite. We hired a car and visited the hotels winery, about 25min drive, the tour lasted an hour and a half, was very informative and finished with a glass of red, white and desert wine. Booking through the guest experience centre just behind the hotel reception they can check when the English speaking tours are running. The show entertainment was mainly aimed at children aged 4 - 10. We opted for the reception lounge nightly after dinner with some great solo musicians. The gym was pretty quiet and had a new Concept2 rower, great if that's your thing.
We have just returned from a week long stay at Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel. Overall the stay and hotel was great. Staff were super attentive and friendly, from check-in through to check-out. We stayed in a suite which was ideal for putting the baby bed earlier and then having an area to relax in the evenings, and the sink, fridge and microwave were useful for cleaning, sterilising and making bottles. The location of the hotel is ideal, as you can get straight out onto the promenade and walk to the nearby restaurants and cafes, also great to have a mini-supermarket just across the road. In terms of other facilities we tried the spa and gym - both of which were to a nice standard.
Wonderful experience in a big, well organised and family friendly hotel. Our kids loved the guys of the kids club and the night shows and it make our holiday so much easier! Thank you to all the staff for this amazing experience!
This hotel is not as family-friendly as it is portrayed. One of the main disappointments was the pools, which were not heated, very cold and therefore not particularly enjoyable. At first glance, the resort appears to offer several playgrounds for children. However, on closer inspection, they are largely repetitions or slight variations of the same equipment. In addition, the playgrounds are located within the children's club area, which only operates between 10am and 6pm. This means families cannot access the playgrounds or most children's facilities before 10am or after 6pm. We actually found the public playgrounds in the surrounding area offered more variety and could be used at any time. The children's pools are also very basic, consisting simply of standard swimming pools. There are no splash pads, water play features, or other attractions that are often expected at family-focused resorts. The soft play area is spread across three levels and looks impressive. However, it is of limited use for younger children, particularly those under six years old, as parents are not permitted to enter and supervise them. At the same time, staff are not actively supervising the children either, as we regularly observed staff members attending to administrative tasks or leaving the area. This policy felt unusual, given that most soft play centres require parents to supervise their children. Enforcement of the rules also appeared inconsistent, with some staff allowing adults into the soft play area while others would reprimand parents who entered to check on their children or ensure their safety. When using the soft play (limited to the boring ground floor that’s designed for baby’s ) I also stepped in a pile of sick which appeared to have been there for quite some while. The family rooms are a positive feature, especially the options with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, the rooms themselves are very dated and do not reflect the standard I would expect from a five-star hotel. The hotel is in a good area and very close to the beach and a variety of restaurants. Whilst we would return to the area we would not return to this hotel.
The hotel had everything we could have wanted. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. All areas around the hotel were exceptionally attractive, beautifully and tastefully decorated. The buffet breakfast was the best I've ever had all needs catered for.
What a beautiful hotel from the g checking in to leaving first class experience. The rooms are large super comfy large bed spotlessly clean a nice big balcony sea views very quiet.. choice of pools .. tennis and padel court.. excellent happy staff.. loved the Japanese restaurant and Isla de Lobas? .. beach bar just outside lovely for a cocktail at the end of the day.. there seemed to be plenty of sun loungers ..location was brilliant in the middle between the harbour and the Marina .. we loved it
Nice hotel overall. Very dated rooms, below par for 5*. Pools are too cold if you're going in shoulder season, and there are no water slides which is a let down. Staff mostly very good. Big drawback for toddlers is that adults aren't allowed in soft play. If you have a toddler who enjoys softplay, don't go here - There are 3 floors, but no sane parent would let a toddler go into a 3 floor softplay without parental monitoring. Staff sit on the ground floor, and part of the 3rd floor is out of sight from the ground, so they rely on kids to look after themselves. We've never been to a softplay before where we aren't allowed to be with out toddler, so it was a real let down (staff aggressively shouted when we tried to help our toddler up to the 2nd floor). Soft plays in general feel much safer when adults are there to provide additional safety, but this place feels more like a military camp and an accident waiting to happen. The hotel is a in great area and lots of nice restaurants/beach nearby. The area with an italian restaurant and ice cream parlour is lovely, and the staff in both were exceptional. Nice live music there too. Mini disco is poor compared to places like Zafiro. Overall a good hotel that I'd recommend for families with older kids.
We couldn’t fault this hotel , from the moment we arrived to the day we left we felt very welcome and looked after ! When we arrived we had our luggage taken to our room , drinks whilst we checked in . We had a suite and it was huge , we had lovely views of the pool and the sea . The rooms are spotless cleaned everyday and they do turn down too after 6pm , loved the little chocolates on the bed and the bottles of water they left daily . The breakfast was good too , so much choice , lots of fresh fruit , pastries , cooked breakfast , loved the fresh omelettes and the fresh orange juice ! Another plus for us was the mini packets of cereal , so much nicer than cereal just emptied in bowls to help yourself to ! The pools were lovely too and we didn’t struggle to find a sunbed . The location is perfect , literally walk onto the beach from the hotel . There are no negatives from us as a family , we would definitely return to this hotel .
Tutto è talmente originale e qualcosa di incredibile
Nulla
People were amazing and pool area was fantastic. Breakfast was okay but Italian and Japanese restaurant were fantastix
Showers were very very low pressure and almost impossible to have a decent shower in. Some moments there was almost no pressure at all. After complaining it was a little bit better but overal the showers were very disappointing, especially because everything else was amazing. For this amount of money I expect a bit more
Having visited the hotel around half a dozen times we find it to be very calming comfortable and welcoming. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent
The hotel is perfectly located and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun-beds. Recommend.
Having stayed here before I knew that Princess Yaiza was the perfect hotel to bring my sister to rest relax and recharge after her 12 months cancer treatment. The rooms are exquisite with everything you could possibly need including complimentary snacks as well as a tote bag and slippers, flip flops for the pool. We only stayed for breakfast but the selection was amazing and such high quality. The service was excellent. Although we liked to go out in the evening there was a good selection of restaurants offering different cuisines. We did eat at the pool three days and were very pleased with the quality of the food and drinks on offer. The lobby bar had entertainment on which was pleasant but not intrusive. We did partake in the spa thermal suite experience which was a nice change from being in the sun. I also had a de stress massage which was very enjoyable. I was so relaxed I fell asleep! We also made use of the gym which was quiet mostly and had a good selection of equipment. The morning exercises of either yoga, stretching or Pilates was a lovely way to start the day in a secluded garden listening to the birdsong. Thanks so much to the ladies doing this as they were so cheerful. We also joined in the fun in the pool going aqua dance or aerobics. We felt completely safe in and around the hotel at all times and would happily return.
The Location of Prinseca Yiaza is perfect for the local beaches, bars and restaurants plus you are halfway to the Marina too. The hotel staff couldn't be more helpful and really made us feel very welcome. Nothing was a problem and they were always upbeat and positive. This made our stay even better. I would fully recommend this hotel for couples and families.
My wife and I rarely visit the same resort twice, but our visit here last year was so perfect that we just didn't feel we could have improved upon it - so here we are again. I have spent most of the last 40 years working in different parts of the world, and have been extremely privileged to have stayed in the best hotels imaginable (I've also spent plenty of time in the rest!) This is right up there at the top for me. I have tried to find something which could be improved upon, if only as useful feedback to the management - but I have failed. I want to particularly compliment the attitude of the staff here. There are no ordinary receptionists, ordinary waiters or waitresses, no ordinary pool attendants, or chambermaids... even the guy painting woodwork in one of the public areas gave us a brilliant smile this morning. This is an establishment populated only by extraordinary, friendly professionals - and I know we will be back! TripAdvisor - please give me more than just 5 stars to allocate!
Always a lovely holiday at Princesa Yaiza. Very accommodating and nothing too much trouble by all staff. Made us feel very special. Breakfast was delicious and always fresh. I received a very thoughtful ‘thank you’ card and chocolates as it was our third time of booking. Will definitely be booking again.
Returned to celebrate birthday and 65 years together. Hotel made us welcome as before and even provided a cake! Lovely friendly staff. Great sea front location and good food. Sea view suite with views of swimming pool and marina was wonderful. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone visiting Playa Blanca
Everything you could ask was catered for. Staff without fail were all extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent location between marina and resort centre along beautiful promenade pathway. Initially sea view in Block A, which was overlooking the adjacent empty plot and adjacent bars, therefore was noisy. We therefore changed to a pool/sea view room suite in Block C. (248) This was excellent and enjoyed the afternoon sun on the balcony, better appointed and far quieter. Rooms and suite are very large and well appointed. A little tired but no complaints and very clean. Excellent maid service, although the turndown service was sometimes as early as 16.30. Only ate in the buffet restaurant. There was a choice of three for breakfast and one in the evening. Didn't try the Japanese or al a carte, as the food was excellent and we were more than happy. The Italian was excellent, try the prawn pizza. Main lower pool was excellent. Sunbeds are comfortable and plentiful, although there were towel reservations being made for the prime spots very early. May be different at busier times as hotel occupancy was low. Seawater and very cold. The top pool was warmer and used more by families with children. Evening adult entertainment was disappointing. There was an artist in the lobby bar between 8pm and 10pm, who were good and varied. There is a fantastic and very large theatre but only used twice. We were informed as it wasn't summer that it wasn't being used to its potential. We always book a couples massage but the cost of this at the hotel spa was €355 for a 70min treatment. We appreciate you pay more at the hotel, especially when 5 star, but still felt was totally extortionate. We therefore opted to visit the Manè Wellness Centre, a short walk towards town, which was excellent and a fraction of the price. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider returning...many do.
We will definitely be returning had a fabulous stay, it was everything we had hoped for and more. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Everything was perfect from checking in to checking out! All staff were amazing - polite, friendly & helpful! Our room or should I say suite was huge with a beautiful view over the pool & sea. All areas within the hotel were spotless! The Lobby bar was a great place to sit, relax & enjoy the varied entertainment each evening! The bar staff in the Lobby Bar were excellent - polite & efficient! The location of the hotel was perfect with direct access to the promenade with an easy walk to either the marina to the left or the centre of Playa Blanca to the right. This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in & we will definitely be back!
Has everything you might want or need. Staff are very friendly.
A bit dated. Room was a bit tired-looking. Big, so don’t think about it if you want peace and quiet and a kid free zone. The food is pretty average.
This place made for a very relaxing holiday with our 21 month. The pools were warm and perfect depth for him to potter, we moved to using the baby pool at the back of the adults pool in the main hotel. The baby pool in the family annex suffered a bit from older siblings also running in and out and it was a bit full on at times for our wee toot. The bottom sea pool is an unofficial adults pool and we loved using that during the couple of hours our toddler was at crèche. The crèche was fantastic and Belene was so warm and kind and even taught our child some Spanish! Would absolutely recommend for a couple of child free hours. We only ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel as felt the evening buffet was extortionate compared to town. Lunches were mostly homemade from the hyperdino which is amazingly located between the annex and the main building . We did use the pool bar a couple of time and the food was very tasty and service excellent but it is expensive. Not outlandishly so for a 5 star hotel though. To say the room let them down isn’t quite fair as I really am nit picking. The aircon wouldn’t stand up to the heat of the summer so if your like me and like a cool room I think you’ll struggle, it was never below 22 with the aircon on. And you can’t control the temp. It’s got three setting 1,2 or 3. I can’t imagine that will change as the hotel attempts to be more eco-friendly. Our room was quite slow to be cleaned for about half of our stay as well. So when I wanted a shower after lunch one day we had no dry towels. As we’d only had the bare minimum of one each to start - nothing to wrap your hair in etc. this did get sorted after a couple of requests. As I said I’m nit picking!!! The set up with two rooms and the fridge, sink and micro was absolutely fantastic!
Our family loved the Princess Yaiza from start to finish. the staff and facilities were all excellent.
