Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/Sea World Area

Access to Old Town & Freeway. The pool, gym, & laundry room were very clean. Restaurant was convenient & food was good & reasonably priced.

The AC was noisy. Changed rooms because carpet in 1st room had some type of residue on it (cleaning?) Mattress wasn’t as comfortable as previous stays.

Close to area where I was attending a wedding and also close to airport. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

They do not have any lunch provisions inside the hotel though they do have breakfast and dinner provisions. Although you can walk to Old Town for lunch, I would have preferred to have this available in the hotel.

Our AC did not work all night and the room was super uncomfortable. The fridge was also not cold enough to save our food and we had to throw it out in the morning because it smelled bad.

They didn’t charge for parking this time

Booked a king room. They had none when we got there and said he can give us a bonus upgrading gave us two queens. It was not a bonus.

I'm not a breakfast person, but my wife is. She enjoyed the fresh fruit and yogurt. Good hotel location. Lobby area was inviting to all.

I can't think of anything that could have been better. We were satisfied.

I love the entire property and the esthetic of the old Spanish style feel of the hotel with a modern twist.

We had a pleasant stay at Hilton San Diego Old Town. The location is really convenient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There’s also a small shop at reception which is handy for picking up water, snacks, milk and other essentials. The rooms are a good size and comfortable, which made the stay enjoyable overall. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is mainly due to the housekeeping and room facilities. We were told that our room would be cleaned daily, but it was actually only cleaned every other day. Also, the room didn’t have a safe, which I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall, a decent hotel in a good location with friendly staff, but the housekeeping communication and lack of an in-room safe could definitely be improved.

The property is very near to downtown and sea world which is very convenient. The rooms are decent size. The lobby is nice and big.

Love the location! Dog friendly. Close to freeways but no loud road noise. Plenty of parking. Pool is small but was clean. Pleasant stay all and all.

They ran out of towels at the pool but that’s minor.

One the side door of the Hotel doesn't have wheelchair access. Had to go all the way around building to get into our room! Disappointing due to the quality of the Hotel. Would be nice if they thought of the disable people. Thank you.

Great location for Old Town restaurants and accessing USD. The breakfast was fantastic, bacon was ON POINT and the staff in the dining area are incredibly kind.

Cleanliness of our first room was garbage. Ants in our bed and dirty sheets on the second bed. We were given a new room and the mini fridge was broken (claimed it was fixed but it never was), shower pressure was low and then stopped working all together at one point before kicking back on-I expected more for paying $1200+ for 3 nights.

Room was near the elevator and vibrated in the bathroom, very loud. Otherwise the room was great and bed was comfortable

Traveled down to San Diego due to my mom eventually passing away. While I was here I had to deal with the logistics related to such an event. What made the whole ordeal less taxing was the outstanding personnel here at the hotel. I want to give special recognition to Ann at the front desk. She was especially accommodating in assisting me with various document copies and faxes. If it were possible, I would give this hotel 6 stars. On behalf of my brother and myself, I want to again thank the wonderful staff here at the Hilton Garden Inn.

pierwszy raz spotkałem się z napiwkami podczas śniadań doliczanych do ceny hotelu. Nie dość, że samemu bierzesz śniadania i napoje to jeszcze trzeba dać za to napiwek. Tragedia. Oczywiście śniadania codziennie takie same więc w połowie pobytu poszedłem na śniadanie do restauracji poza hotelem.

We love staying at this hotel when we're visiting San Diego. It's so close to Old Town which we can walk to and to the train station as well.

My daughter room didn’t get clean her heater didn’t work and we paid for parking and only parked one time on the lot when my daughter was discussing with the manager she was giving all kind of excuses and not trying to accommodate the issues but just not wanting to do nothing!!! This was the room where all 4 of my grandchildren stayed I was totally disappointed

The supervisor who checked us in asked if I wanted room cleaned daily I said yes. It only got cleaned once. And there was a spot of blood 🩸 on bathroom floor and made them aware of the first night. It didn’t get clean until I spoke with another young lady at from desk. Who was completely sweet Monday morning and morning of my check out! She needs to be a manger because everything I asked of her she did it! Also my bathroom door would barely open when i checked in. There is as that one day the cleaned room but left dirty towels in shower smh . Also my room didn’t t have any Heat. I told the lady the first night and nothing was done!!! It sucks to pay what you pay and expectations aren’t met. Plus we paid for parking and there was no parking on sight we had to park on street cause we had a sprinter van . I forgot to mention curtain wouldn’t even open.

Hotel was nice and it was close to airport and downtown (driving). Not much activity near the hotel, but Old Town is right there and there are a number of Mexican restaurants across the street. Given the location, I didn't thing the parking fee was necessary.

Front desk staff overall not very friendly. Requested early check-in, didn't get it, however saw someone else come in after us and get checked in before 3pm. Mold in bathroom, AC very loud and vibrates walls when on especially in bathroom very loud. Beds and bedding not very comfortable. Fir a "HILTON" property, I was disappointed overpriced for what it offers. Wouldn't stay again.

Room was not clean. Hair in the sink I had to wipe switches down they had sticky stuff on them. Light fixtures were full of dust and the vent system was so loud it kept us up all night

Very clean rooms and amazing front desk service. No complementary breakfast but the restaurant has amazing food and drinks. The server was so kind an accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

The convenience and location to nearby restaurants and Old Town San Diego. The reception desk staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. As well as the staff in the hotel bar & restaurant! Digital key entry on our cell phones was a nice touch and very convenient!

Hilton lied about my earning points for my stay! Please check if your hotel honors your points for your stay because my 2 night stay earned absolutely nothing! The day of checkout the maid rushed us out at 11:58 AM when checkout was at noontime/12:00 PM! The maids never cleaned our room the first day even when we left our room in the am, removed our “do not disturb” door sign and asked them to please clean the room! Our trash in the bathroom and bedroom was overflowing and smelled horrible! We asked for our coffee supplies to be replaced. We only received coffee with no creamer, no sugar, no cups, etc! The cleaning staff/maid service were lazy, unfriendly, dismissive, and rude! All that after I initially left a tip for the maid service on the first night before I was mistreated, disregarded, and disrespected!

Blood on sheets whole hotel smelled like sewage. Staff was too busy talking to each other then helping check us in made us wait until the 3pm check in. Disappointed. Won’t be back. This was our go to hotel. Thank you.
