voco Makkah by IHG

Everything is perfect !

The hotel was so nice. On things I don’t think they are phone charging outlets they should change those.but they are service was amazing..

Everything was amazing Just wish the rooms and bathrooms especially had better lighting

I would recommend to this to anyone very good hotel and staff

I am proud of all staff there. Especially front desk receptionist, I remember one name Ahmed Alsugaie. Also special thanks to day and night duty manager Mr. Aloufi Majed and MR. Alharbi Saif. Proud of my country people working there. Keep up all. Dinning also is a mazing especially dinner. One girl there her name Marwah, she standing up all dinning time as cashier and as bartender. Thank you Marwah

Very good

I highly recommend this hotel for its cozy rooms, friendly staff, and serene atmosphere. Staying here was like a dream, and the quiet, peaceful feel gave me the best sleep. The hotel's elegant design and top-notch amenities made for a truly relaxing experience.

Loved my stay.

Clean room

Overall is ok

Well maintained. Shuttle to haram readily available

Voco is very clean. I will recommend more people to book there. We love it overall.

This place is the best if you’re looking for shuttle based options.

Very friendly stuff the place is clean

Very reasonably priced option in Makkah. Excellent hotel with very clean rooms and facilities. Shuttle service needs to be organized though. The hotel needs to establish a safer and a more organized area to pick up and drop off shuttle bus users. All in all great hotel.

Great service

Ok

It’s really great hotel with great customer service. It’s almost 30 minutes walk from Kaaba. Shuttle service available but it’s ok not bad. For Friday prayers you have to take texi after 10 am . Overall good experience

Clean and the staff is very supportive.

It was an exceptional experience overall. The shuttle was very efficient and continuous. A bit of a walk from bus drop off to Haram, easily done by young people.

would definitely stay again!

Great Service, will come again

Great hotel

Everything was good. Haram is a bit of a distance and the coaches leave every 20m.

great stay, traffic around the haram with the shuttle is annoying, but the hotel is great.

Excellent hotel, very good service. Walking to Haram is approximately 20 mins down one main road or you can get the free shuttle bus which runs regularly to drop you to Haram as well as collect you.

Very enjoyable

Beautiful

Amazing trip and excellent friendly staff - especially the guy at the front desk. Also offer luxury coach shuttle service to the Haram and back 24/7 for not extra charge. Really peaceful hotel. Last time I stayed right near the Kaabha but that was too hectic and much more expensive. This was more peaceful and relaxing. Great value for money and nice find. Coming back from Friday prayers too a long time but other that the other days were much less.

Great stay here, the service was excellent! The hotel is new and very clean. The room service was amazing and our bedroom was made everyday .

All over Excellent

Good: Clean and organized Improvement: need tonensure shower 🚿 hot water is working

Voco Makkah is decent hotel to stay and 1.5 to 2 kms by walk to 🕋

Nice room and great customer service.

The hotel and services like housekeeping are definitely top notch, staff is really courteous and well trained, it gives you 5 star feeling thanks to the cleaning crew. However, hotel should try to go above and beyond in providing luggage transportation to nearest taxi stand when there are blockades due to salah. I was with my mom who was on a wheel chair and it was a really difficult experience. We had to request management to allow luggage to be dropped off at the hotel entrance. Its not on the hotel but it would be great for customer experience to have bell boys drop you to nearest taxi stand (charge to our bill ofcourse). Moreover please work on the wifi, doesn’t load videos and really slow.

Everything was excellent I love this hotel to middle Eastern standards it’s a 5 star hotel but to the American standards it’s okay .. but I loved the staff and location and room service was outstanding I will be staying here again insh Allah for sure !

Thank you

Poor shuttle service to Haram . During our stay no service at least from midnight fo Fajar and staff won’t tell you that’s is NOT running at this time . May be they can have a dedicated person to guide people about shuttle service . Walking is give or take 40 minutes to Haram . Rooms are nice and clean with modern amenities.

I had the best experience at VOCO Hotel Their exceptional hospitality, elegant rooms, and safe and secure environment were the best parts. Thank you so much for making my trip memorable. Especially thanks for MS. khaldoun who is very friendly and helpful staff 😍😊

Excellent

Everything very good

Shutter bus need more than one hour and half to reach alharam during ruch hours.

Touched in from the main road. Quiet and clean. Easy walk to masjid

I like everything the rooms breakfast transportation

Very decent size rooms for familes. Shuttle service to Haram but due to trafic it can take 20 min to get to Hram.

Bad service

Very nice hotel

I liked this hotel, it was clean and convenience, the staff were very nice.

Great experience!

Very affordable hotel near Masjid al Haram.Walking distance to Masjid al Haram around 25-30 minutes via ibrahim al khali Road and excellent free shuttle service to masjid 24/7 provided by hotel . Bedrooms very clean, modern and comfortable. Staff friendly and hotel should be rated 5 star.

Clean and professional

All in all is a very good stay, except that the front desk has been always busy

Everything is going well for me today.

Very good hotel everything was perfect

Few things that need to be improved: 1. Transport service is not good at all. It's such a long distance where you have to change two buses despite walking a lot. Atleast what you can do is to arrange one bus that takes people directly from Voco to Haram Pak and vice versa. 2. Voco does not provide any services like microwave and fridge. One needs to warm up food sometimes and it's a very basic necessity. There is no access to kitchen and refrigerator. The day we were moving out,we just wanted to keep one small box in the fridge for literal 2 hours and they did not allow us. 3.The restaurants inside like Al Karam and Telal, do not offer food individually. We went there during the lunch hours and they simply refused saying it's only for groups(idk which groups). 4. Moreover, there are not any good asian food options nearby that can be accessed easily. So, one finds nothing to eat, neither from inside restaurants nor can order from outside. The only option you are left with is to stick with the in room dining. 5. We called them to provide one plate and knife because we wanted to wash fruits. They even charged us for that (20 SAR).

Short stay

The hotel is clean with excellent service. There are multiple towers, each with separate check-in counters. It would have been helpful to know the tower details in advance. The walk to the Haram is about 3,000 steps, and the walkway is not easy—there are many vendors, vehicles crossing, and it can be crowded. The bus service is inconvenient; the first bus takes you away from the Haram, and the second bus takes you to haram and about 5 mins walk. There is a long wait between buses, making it difficult, especially with kids. The breakfast options are excellent, and the staff is very courteous and helpful

Overall good experience. Pakistani restaurant 5-10 minute walking distance which is open 24/7. Very convenient.

Alhamdulillah I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Makkah, most of them around the haram. I knew the access to the Haram from this hotel was via a shuttle. But they failed to mention it is a ONE-STOP shuttle service. Our trip was short (3 days). It took us nearly one hour to get to Haram and the same on the way back. For this reason (as this is the only reason we went there) I would not recommend this hotel. I would much rather pay for a basic hotel within walking distance of the haram than book this again.

Good service clean hotel

Great hotel and location close to Masjid Al Haram 4 stars for the front desk - never featured the change when I paid them in cash ;)! Assuming it was a mistake but otherwise a great experience overall.

This hotel is amazing 10/10 beautifully decorated, so so clean, amazing breakfast buffet, service was amazing, the indoor mall was good too and price difference between inside and outside wasn't crazy. The workers were amazing and super useful too. Shuttle bus service: However, please be aware that the shuttle bus service unfortunately is not directly to the haram. The Voco shuttle bus is amazing its always there infront of the hotel, never had to wait ever however please know that the hotel shuttle buses all go to Kudai bus station then you get on the makkah bus to the haram area. Going there is not an issue but on the way back from the haram area its extremely hard to get the makkah bus back to kudai station, its a literal war zone as everyone is pushing to try and get onto the makkah bus back. It's a 25 minute walk to the haram but the road is not the best in terms of walking especially after Salah its very busy. I think it would be much better if the hotel dropped you off a 5 min walk away from the haram instead of kudai bus station.

Very clean and modern. Good customer service and reliable bus shuttle to the Haram. Shopping options within the building.

Good value for money. Very clean hotel and friendly reception and staff. Mastercard didnt work at breakfast counter machines everytime other than that it was very good. Highly recommended stay.

Wow, what an incredible property! My stay was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The shuttle service was top-notch, making everything so convenient and enjoyable. I can’t wait to return—definitely counting down the days!

Everything was excellent with Voco even the transportation, the only negative point is the connection between Bus's to drop as next to the Haram it was too busy but I know it's not the Hotel fault. A big thank you to all Voco’s Staff.

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff. Modern well equipped rooms. Convenient shuttle every few minutes to the Haram. Main level shopping complex with several shops, grocery stores, and cafes.

Newer hotel in Makkah and was pretty clean and the mall on the lower level was very convenient. They had numerous of shuttles and was always there and had to change shuttles coming back to the hotel but overall it wasn’t too bad.

very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, free shuttle to haram

Highly professional and kind staff, excellent breakfast

Very clean, modern , location us a 30 minute walk to Mashid Al Haram .. theres nothing to complain .

Everything is good the taxi we booked to go to Jeddah Airport didn’t arrive to pick up. I requested the front desk to hello but he didn’t.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the breakfast buffet was worth it, the view of the room was amazing, staff were nice, although it was busy and there were some delays, but overall it wasn’t an issue. The shuttle service is great as well. Clean, pretty, convenient, and overall an excellent experience. I would book my stay here next time I am in Mecca insha’Allah!

To far to the AlHaram

Very comfortable stay. Staff is amazing. They allowed late check out (depends on availability). Would definitely stay on next visit.

The only issue with Voco is the location is far from Haram and the transport system is not convenient

Great hotel with excellent bus service to Haram Sharif. Breakfast was great and enjoyed with family. Walk to Haram is 10-13mins. Good Pakistani restaurant near by.

Excellent experience overall

We had a great stay at Voco Makkah

The whole family had a great stay at Voco Makkah.

Nice convenient place- room had some unusual smell but clean- overall good. Nice dinner and breakfast

Comfortable room, good breakfast, and plenty of shops down the hotel in the same building. Outside the hotel you need to walk quite a distance to reach market. Also, there is one direct bus to the Haram, but you need to change 2 buses on the way back which is inconvenient

Very nice staff

everything was great except that i thought it would be closer and easier to reach the Haram mosque

Enjoyed our stay, great food options, great walkable distance to the Haram.

Nice hotel

A wonderful property to stay in. 20 minutes to haram by foot and taxis are available round the clock as well as a shuttle that leaves every 20 minutes. Made our Umrah very easy. Definitely recommended as a good location slightly away from main Haram but very accessible.

Great hotel very nice

Good service and clean

Amazing customer service and very kind people

Good stay

Great place

great location but the return transportation was awful

Very friendly staff clean property

Everything was perfect except transportation on the way back from Haram

Great

The hotel is terrible. It is just a bed in a room that becomes very dirty as nobody cleans your room. There is nothing like 4 star in this hotel except a massive building. No service at all. No housekeeping and no room service. Staff is rude and demand money for every little thing they do. If you want an extra empty plate they will charge 15 Riyal. I have never seen a reception as rude as in this hotel. I will not recommend staying in this hotel.

The room was clean, staff were respectful and helpful

The room was small. Carpet not vacuumed well. No room service for 4 days. Cupboard doors, bathroom doors had stains that were not cleaned.
