Great location for University of Liverpool and City Centre. Friendly staff met us on arrival and showed us the room. Have stayed here previously so happy to return.

ROOM EASY TO ACCESS ON GROUND FLOOR. LADY WHO BOOKED MYSELF AND SON IN IMMEDIATELY PROVIDED COLD FRESH MILK IN A SMALL BOTTLE FOR TEA AND COFFEE. IT WAS STILL FRESH IN THE MORNING.

All fine. Rather basic decor and facilities but all operational. Cool in this hot weather as ground floor and sun didn't come in through window (view of building next door, but fine).

No milk provided for tea/coffee, you had to ask staff at desk but not always staff there at night.

Room was clean. Room was spacious. Shower a bit dicky, wasted a lot of water waiting for it to heat up. Didn't use microwave but good that it is there. Ta and coffee facilities good, especially that we were provided with fresh milk. Feather pillows and my husband is allergic to feathers. Quite unusual actually.

Father pillows- hypoallergenic may have been better.

The bedding had marks on it, the mattress was awful, the room was very basic and felt like a clinical room, the neighbouring property was what I assumed were students and they kept us awake from 2am until 7am shouting

This hotel went beyond value for money. We got put in the studio suit which was lovely and spacious, super clean and the beds comfort was to die for after a long day. The staff were super nice and really friendly too!

Really liked the location. Room was a good size. Beds comfortable. The lady who greeted us was very kind. Helped us with our large cases.

Noise on street a bit disturbing. But still slept well.

Very friendly host who made us feel so welcome. The hotel was very clean and well presented throughout, very comfortable with everything we needed in the room and more. It was lovely and quiet so slept very well. Central location so we could walk everywhere and a massive multistorey carpark on the same street where we paid £10 for 24 hours. Will definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Great location, close to city amenities and train station. Very warm welcome amd very quick check in. Room was good size, and very well presented, decor in perfect condition. Hairdryer, iron and iron board in the room, as well as hanging rail with lots of hangers, and a bag stand. TV and kettle with plenty of tea, coffee and sugars. Fresh milk was offered and provided when needed. Full length mirror in the bedroom, as well as mirror in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and bedding was pristine. Small fans on each side of the bed were a nice touch given the recent warm.weather. Ensuite bathroom was pristine, and shower cubicle was a great size, with briliant water pressure from the overhead drencher shower.

Would have preferred a slightly larger towel for post-showering, but this is being very picky. We also had to.use one of the hand towels as a shower mat to avoid slipping, but again this was not a major issue.

Great hotel with nice staff who allowed us to check into our room early. The room was well designed with a comfortable bed and a very nice shower. The location was central and in easy walking distance for the shops and tourist sites.

The bathroom door had a strong resistance with the automatic closing device and it would slam shut quite forcefully, could be heavy to open and would have to move out of the way quickly to not get hurt as it shut, more of a slight inconvenience than a big issue.

Excellent position to explore city. Had room downstairs at back, which was very cl ean, pleasant and practical.

Nothing...I've stayed in lots of places but for the price and location nothing comes near the Aachen.

Location was good.

Room and most of the amenities were very old and dated. No fridge, given milk to make tea or coffee which was off. Room appeared clean but on closer inspection was quite grubby. What appeared to be old chewing gum was stuck around an electrical flex and had attracted dust and dirt. Shower was hard to regulate the temperature and started banging like mad when switched on( presume this was pipes vibrating with the water pressure.)

I couldn’t get the iron to work but everything else was OK.

The location is convenient to Lime street station and many pubs, restaurants and entertainment. The room ( number 9) was quiet.

There was an outer entry way to the room that had a separate door. That small space had a light that would randomly turn on and off and there did not seem to be a control for it.

Unfortunately our room was on the front and the windows are only single glazed you heard all the traffic noise, not good when the local boy racers are zooming up and down at speed in the early hours of the morning 😞

I arrived on an early flight with my friend and the woman let us into our room early so we could grab a few hours of sleep which was brilliant and I can't thank her enough for letting us in early. The room was clean and spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is situated 5 mins from Lime Street and I would stay here again. I would recommend Aachen hotel to anyone travelling to Liverpool. Very friendly staff.

It was very conveniently located. Our room was at the back of the building away from the road so it was a relatively quiet nights sleep. The team were in contact to confirm twin beds and arrival time. They also supplied us with fresh milk for tea and coffee in the room on arrival.

The pump for the hot water was a little noisier than anticipated.

I liked the property, it was what I expected for the price and 3 star rating. We were on the top floor which was fine for us but wouldn’t be good if limited mobility.

Location

The room was small, with a tiny gap to squeeze past the bed to the window. The room was uncarpeted and cold (electric radiator provided as the main radiator wasn’t on, but took a long time to heat the room). The bed was quite firm (ok for some people I suppose) the bathroom was tiny and the shower tile grout needs cleaning. The hot water wasn’t hot, the cold water wasn’t cold - both were lukewarm, just about warm enough to shower, but take your own drinking water. A Single pump bottle of unidentified liquid soap/shampoo was provided in the shower but the pump didn’t work. No soap at the basin, nor anywhere to hang a towel. The decor was fairly clean but the ambience very dated and the door hinges throught the hotel need some WD40! The picture of Basil and Manuel in reception should serve as a warning.

Shower was awful, beds were uncomfortable, very little room. We booked a double room, we had a double bed, a single bed and a spare bed folded up. But much in a small room.

Gutes, zentrales Hotel in Altbau mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Lage direkt im Zentrum, gut vom Hauptbahnhof erreichbar. Freundliches Personal und bequeme, sehr weiche Betten. Das Zimmer war sogar ab 10 Uhr Verfügbar, was nicht üblich ist.

Der Altbau ist etwas hellhörig.

This property in its day would have been a grand residential town house and it retains many of those character features, however my preference would be a modern built hotel.
