Loved this property. Nice lodge along the water with free parking. The room was large, the staff was friendly. We ate dinner both nights here, and the breakfasts were very good.

It was a little bit out of town, more than we expected. We cancelled our dinner reservations in Oban, because we didn't want to have something to drink and then drive back to the hotel. However, it was OK, food at the Lodge was very good.

Great location for access to Oban ferry terminal, far nicer than being in town

Only two rooms with a bath which we weren't informed of as you need to pre book one if required. No safe in room, also if you have a dog you need to be seated outside the restaurant which is not very relaxing area as staff are busy around you which isn't ideal

The property is in a stunning location and the decor is beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.

My only complaint is that we opted for a sea view room however our rooms were on the bottom floor and a large coach parked in front of our room all evening and from 7am in the morning.. so we never got our sea view!

Two (false) fire alarms in the middle of the night (around 4am and then about an hour later) were poorly handled by reception the next morning. No apology - no attempt to empathise really at all.

Loved the style and ambiance of the hotel and the friendly staff gave a warm welcome. Loved the soft and comfortable beds and decor. Loved the food, probably the best meal Ive had in Scotland travelling through the highlands.

I think the service at breakfast was a slight let down as we were competing with a bus tour whom devoured most of the continental buffet and it was so slow to be replenished we didnt get much of a choice and some guests missed out entirely. The staff were slow to take breakfast orders as they were consumed with the tour guests. Also the dining room was in darkness when we arrived 5mins later than our reservation and we had to find a staff member to seat us. All in all although not an ideal start to the day, the food was fabulous again and we did enjoy our cooked breakfast.

As much of Scotland in touristed areas, a wee bit pricey for a room without breakfast included, and the breakfast itself was overpriced, although pretty good (not a fantastic spread, but more than adequate).

I can see why others complained about noise from other rooms , more down to the other guests than the hotel but soundproofing could be better . Restaurant seemed expensive but didn't use it.

Our room needed a bit of refurb as there was a stain on the carpet otherwise it was fine.

L'hotel és realment bonic per fora i té una presentació molt atractiva. Tot i això, un cop a dins, es nota que les instal·lacions han quedat una mica antiquades i demanen una renovació. El punt més negatiu de la nostra estada va ser la falta de neteja profunda a l'habitació, on vam arribar a trobar fins a 9 aranyes. Crec que l'establiment té molt de potencial, però caldria revisar el manteniment de l'interior i el control de plagues per oferir una experiència més confortable.

Beautiful property in a fantastic location, with lovely views over the loch. The hotel is very well maintained, and the refurbished rooms are comfortable and stylish. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The food was excellent, with a fantastic breakfast to start the day. The staff were attentive, friendly, and provided a genuinely warm Scottish welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

We would have welcomed a couple of armchairs in the lounge that were a bit higher off the ground for more elderly guests. All of the comfortable seating is a bit low so a bit more variety would be appreciated.

The position across the road from the sea loch affords wonderful views from anywhere on the front of the property and from our bedroom window. The front gardens are beautifully kept. All of the common areas in the hotel are in great shape and give an air of high quality. Our bedroom was immaculately decorated with a similarly high quality feel. The hotel team were all welcoming and friendly. We ate twice in the restaurant which fully deserves its trip adviser rating.

Hors de prix - comfortable mais chambre vieillotte. Pas de mini frigo. Mal insonorisé. Restaurant hors de prix pour la qualité des plats et du service. Service peu souriant et prétentieux. Petit dej médiocre et hors de prix aussi. Nous avons attendu presque 30 minutes pour avoir notre breakfast. Et en plus, il faut réservé l’heure du petit dej à l’avance. Bref, 650eu pour 2 nuits, un resto pour 2 et un petit dej pour 2!

Nice site and view and generally nice staff save at our arrival. They guy at the reception (not the one welcoming outside but inside at the desk) was particularly not welcoming which was a pity and gave us the wrong impression compared to all other staff members.

Food Dinner and breakfast were excellent with great service. The bar and lounge are very cosy, parking is easy. Staff is very professional and friendly, they really made our stay memorable.

A bit expensive. Location is a bit isolated and remote so if not by car hard to get to, however this is what you look for travelling to the highlands.

Room and bathroom were comparatively spacious.staff were keen to please and the restaurant food was of a high standard.

The hotel decor was exquisite. The furnishings of our room were of very high quality, thoughtful design and full of character. Very comfy beds. Excellent food and service. Friendly and down to earth staff who were always courteous and happy to help.

There were steps to the hotel and to the ground floor bedrooms. Not suitable for wheelchair bound residents. No accessible rooms with grab rails or seat but was told that chair and suction held grab available if needed but not offered. This should be advertised on website.

Lack of air conditioning in room was a real problem. I've stayed in budget hotels with full air conditioning, so no real excuse not to have air conditioning in rooms in a hotel of this standard. Ground floor room with sash window that only opened upwards meant the window had to be left closed overnight adding to the temperature of the room.

De badkamer vond ik iets minder. Was ruim maar slechts een zeer kleine douche.

Greeting and assistance from David front of house P.R was very helpful.since the actual CHECKIN at unimpressive desk was brusque and perfunctory from Susan...no attemp nor interest.in advice or suggestions for places in Oban to eat....etc BREAKFAST SERVICE Sunday morning was sporadic and unprofessional..not up to standard. Quirky elderly waiters mixed up / forgot orders and served burnt recycled toast . I had to ask several times for items ordered but not brought [ was I being ' punished' for choosing my OWN table .... ! ? .

Room.not really comfortable and laden with animal skins on chairs and too.many bed throws. Quiet on the side / back as requested but really not good value all up . Size of room bigger than average ..20 m sq..but just big enough . Discovered after dining at a place recommended by Museum gents that Madam Susan..whom I had asked for good recommendations for.local specialities.[ no suggestion except PUBS ! ]...announced that sge went there all the time..ie place I chose myself..........why did she not tell me when I asked .. Not open in communication ..unusual for a Scot . Loud assertive vocally receptionist turned up next morn ......complete opposite of her night before colleague

The staff were friendly, the manager was extremely helpful and gave us upgrade. They had bird feeder so we could watch birds during breakfast. The food was excellent and service friendly. Great view of lake.

Check in member of staff abrupt and rude. Room cleaning service very average, continental breakfast was appalling. There seemed to be an undercurrent of anger between managers and team.

Me and my partner stayed here last night and it was absolutely amazing! The staff are amazing they are so welcoming so helpful and just so approachable! The room was brilliant we had a sea view which was lovely to wake up to! Breakfast was amazing too pancakes were beautiful! Would definitely be staying again and highly recommend

The price increased significantly from when we first planned to book, and overall it felt quite expensive for what was offered. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel, despite its slightly out-of-the-way location, was the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was closed during our stay due to holidays and staff sickness, which we appreciate things happen but it was disappointing. We received a call the day before saying they would provide recommendations for restaurants in the area but there was no mention of that when we arrived other than a ‘sorry it’s closed’ There also isn’t much in the area to walk due to busy road right outside - we pointed that out to the Reception team member when we had a chat i’ the evening and he mentioned there was 2 view point walks which would have been nice to know at check in. The room itself was spaceous. The carpets could really do with a deep clean and the bathroom window didn't open, so it was difficult to clear moisture after showering. Given the size of the bathroom and the room rate, a bathtub would have been nice, or at least a more premium shower enclosure rather than a basic plastic cubicle. Breakfast pricing also felt excessive: £17 for a continental breakfast and £25 for a cooked breakfast, especially considering cooked service only runs until 9:30. overall it just felt really overpriced for location and the fact the restaurant was closed

The views are stunning and the restaurant and lounge were lovely to sit in. The staff were excellent and couldn’t recommend enough. We were staying here after we had just got married to celebrate, and they really looked after us, even upgrading our room to a Loch view. Thank you for making our mini-moon special!

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate and welcome us. The room and furnishings were stunning + the lounge spaces absolutely gorgeous. Playing backgammon by the fireside on a chilly evening with the remaining wine from our supper - heaven! The staff even sorted packed lunches for our early morning exit to Mull.

Great location close to Oban with spectacular views across the loch and lovely hotel garden with seating area which we enjoyed sitting in for a cup of tea. Very comfortable bedroom and great shower, so we had a good night’s sleep.

The food was ok in the evening for dinner but not special. Plenty of choices for breakfast in the morning but the cooked breakfast was poor.

Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind Top ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Der Lounge Bereich lädt nach einem langen Tag zum Entspannen ein. Ich kann nur empfehlen dort einen Whisky oder auch 2 zu trinken. Die Auswahl ist riesig und die Barkeeperin hat mich sehr gut beraten. Wir waren run um zufrieden.

Das Hotel, die Lage, das Personal sowie die Restaurantbesuche waren super. Der Ausblick auf das Loch sind genial. Die Ruhe perfekt zum entspannen.Gerne wären wir länger geblieben. Empfehlung für dieses Hotel.
