La segunda piscina , la cual es mas tranquila , estubo con suciedades de restos de grasa corporal y rersiduos , lo cual acorde a los precios no deberia suceder , no obstante la amabilidad de los empleados neutraliza cualquier queja .Lo otro fue que durante mi estancia pedi un servicio de habitacion a mi Suite en la seccion Eden que es de precios altos , no obstante me comunicaron que no habia posibilidad de una taza de leche con cafe , a la hora que hice mi pedido , a pesar de la ayuda del dependiente de turno , creo que deben superar eso.Por lo demas sinceramente todo fue espectacular .

Вкусный завтрак, неплохие рестораны для обеда и ужина.
Хороший, но дорогой спа. Красивая территория, разные мероприятия каждый день и вечер. Каждый вечер разная тематика вечеринки - это интересно
Номер очень простой, но мы там и не сидели)
Персонал ходит по тем же дорожкам, что и в разной степени одетые гости.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026Le personnel hyper discret, très professionnel et super agréables, les repas servis dans les 5 restaurants sont d'une qualités ++, les soirées à thèmes ont été géniales ainsi que les barmans et leurs cocktails. Bref 10/10, de plus le jour du départ (les chambres doivent être libérées à 11h) ont nous permet de continuer à se servir des bars et restaurant ainsi que les piscines jusqu'à l'heure de notre départ à l'aéroport, en fin d'après midi.
Honnêtement, rien, si ce n'est le prix des massages un peu trop élevé (à partir de 200USD) .

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026The facility and staff are excellent. Our second trip there and have had a wonderful time including with the other guests. No pressures or expectations, but a very open and comfortable environment.
The food, while presented elegantly, can be somewhat generic. A little more option for food choice would be nice. But of course, this is not a resort to be visited for the Michelin star food quality, and what is there is still good.

- L’insistance du personnel pour nous vendre des massages. Nous avions des propositions pour ce service au moins 10 fois par jour. Ça a tué notre envie de le faire.
- Le style de musique des DJs se répétait tous les soirs, on savait exactement quels chansons nous allions écouter chaque soir…

Reviewed Jan 25, 2026Most restaurants close to our room. We liked the outside coffee shop. Met a lot of great people. Food was very good. Majority of staff excellent.
Breakfast buffet much the same everyday. Most hot items lukewarm. Lunch buffet same. Other breakfast choice reserved for certain members only. A couple of restaurants were closed a couple of days during the week. Concierge did not tell us upon check-in, so until you made reservations you didn’t know. Air conditioning fan in the room rattled all night long. Our room was not cleaned until 5:00 PM or later other than one day. Floors were never scrubbed, bathroom sink was never cleaned during our stay. One of the bulbs in our room was flickering, and another bulb was burned out in the same fixture. Batteries in the TV remote needed to be changed. Types of alcohol and mixes were different at every bar on the property. No consistency. Every day by 11:35 AM standing in line was a must to get a reservation at the restaurant you wanted. Reservations opened at noon.

Reviewed Jan 21, 2026Excellent facilities and staff attention. Particularly pleasurable is the very many restaurants and food/drink stations. The provision of the quiet pool as well as the large activities pool gave an option to be restful of entertained. The rooms are set out in blocks with well tended 'jungle' in between, creating a pleasant aspect. Racoons and Coatis visited the hotel gardens at dusk.
This hotel promotes a sensual atmosphere, clothing optional, in an adult only setting. January is 'Life Style' month, but it seemed they were in the minority, many couples put clothes on to go in the hot tub! We visited their other hotel, Desire Pearl, under the same January promotion. The difference was stark. We had been deceived, Pearl met the marketing focus, Riviera Maya did not.

Reviewed Dec 27, 2025The unique atmosphere exceeded our expectations. No-pressure resort, beautiful surroundings, intimate setting. All the positive reviews we read before our arrival were spot on. And to manage expectations, this is not a beach property. After a day on the premise, we understood why and were happy it was set up as an enclosed place.
The rooms were small and would need to be updates in the next few years. But it did not matter since there was so much to do outside the room.

Reviewed Dec 10, 2025A comida é excelente, funcionários atenciosos, festas incomparáveis, playmakers animadíssimos. Os casais que ali frequentam são educados e diferenciados.
A organização na piscina poderia melhorar muito. Havia vários lugares reservados por toalhas, sem estar sendo utilizados por ninguém na maior parte do tempo. Se estivesse em alta temporada, poderia ter estragado nossa experiência no hotel.

The pool and hot tub are rough. People were constantly complaining about how poor the finish on the inside of the pool and hot tub. It rubs the skin off your feet. Hot tub is way too hot. People had to sit on the ledge to cool off.

We got room-2021 Ocean View. It is located next to a room with Jcuzzi. The jacuzzi's pumps are so noisy that it is almost impossible to sleep. After 2 nigths they changed the room, but the damage was done!!.
The hotel is really good, but they knew the room was too noisy, so I feel like we were bad treated.

Reviewed Oct 1, 2025This was our first time visit to this resort (or one similar) and we found it to be very inviting and open without any uncomfortable pressure from others there. The Eden rooms were new and very nice, but the older rooms did not look bad and something we would possibly stay in also for future trips. This has been a bad year everywhere in the Caribbean with the sargassam seaweed. While this resort doesn't have much of a beach presence (one small area with a few cabanas), the pool environment more than makes up for it. We will definitely attend again.
The restaurants are nice and offer respectable menus, but the food is so-so. It was nothing bad but not the highlight of the resort. Our only other complaint was they offer and want to upsell some type of membership program, which we were fine with and agreed to an appointment to discuss it on the morning of our second full day. Prior to the appointment we were politely approached several times to check on us but also to remind us again of the appointment and confirm that we were coming. Again, not really an issue, all of the employees were nice. On the morning of the appointment we were awakened by a phone call again asking us if we were coming to the appointment which was still almost an hour away. That point crossed the line and became too pushy for us. After being given a hard no there was no further issue and I understand that they are trying to make their sales, but when you're trying to relax in paradise there's only so much engagement on that that you can take.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025The whole resort is amazing as soon as you enter the front lobby. The vibe and outmosphere is fantastic.They have theme nights, and the disco is lit with their music every night.
The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. The staff are amazing, that's why we keep coming back. The housekeepers, battenders, servers, and gardeners always have a smile on their faces. We always get relaxing massages at the spa.
We have great experiences every time we come. We are booked for November. We can't compare the resort anywhere else. The guests and staff are friendly.

Reviewed Jul 28, 2025Cons first = definitely not enought partying. Most days besides 2 are a snoozefest at the pool. Why have a quiet pool if the party pool is also boring? The party team tries but no way is it anywhere near their other resort with the different name!! If they just bring it up a few more days poolside then i would return but as of now we wont be returning. And yes we went there fully knowing what it is and yes there was some things going on, mostly at night, but still a snoozefest! And if you enjoy working out as we did 4 days - the gym is pretty sad. I grew tired of having to manipulate machines just to get a workout in. So so glad i didnt give them the time or day to try to sell me membership!
Pros = Amazing staff, clean for the most part but most people are dirty themselves walking around barefoot and walking into restrooms that way then coming back into the pool! They need to have someone posted at the restrooms and enforce wearing flip flops!
Food is ok, mostly fine. Dont try to eat sushi in mexico lol.
For the most part it was just a regular vacation, nothing special here. Go to a regular adults only, its the same and save your money. We wanted to leave after the 3rd day.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2025We have been going to Desire RM for years (about 30 trips) and the resort completely lost it’s vibe that gave them all those 5star reviews in the past. Most of us used to close our eyes to most stuff that definitely does not meet 5star hotel level as we were not there for the “room or food”.The sensual atmosphere, all vibe between the guests and entertainment was what attracted loyal guests to keep booking trip after trip. Everything changed with opening of Eden. Whoever designed it has no idea what resort is about and most likely never bothered to come to the resort as a guest. They turned the hidden paradise into yet another commercial building, looking to get the most money they can but completely destroyed what resort used to be: small boutique hotel that had it’s own community, where everyone knew each other by name and staff was like family. And changes are obvious: entertainment was horrible ( DJ can’t “read the room”, actually looked like he and violinist have not rehearsed the performance, sounded like dying cat noise with the beat),playmakers should get together with Mia, Anna or DD and get lessons what means to be a paymaker. The main pool had dirt floating by the stairs for at least 2 days and then they decided to clean the white pool chairs WHILE guests were in the pool!!! You would have never seen that before!! STAFF IS AMAZING as always, they do their best to make guest feel like the resort is as it used to be. IF ONLY MANAGEMENT WOULD CARE TO LISTEN!!

Reviewed Jun 17, 2025The attention to detail at the desire properties is immaculate. The staff is sweet, friendly, and professional. They really go out of their way to help you in every way they can. The spa services are wonderful and the food was excellent. At this particular location, the rooms were a bit small, but they were still very nicely appointed. The desire pearl has rooms that are a bit larger. That said, we didn’t spend all that much time in the room so we were just fine.
