The lobby was awesome.

I think an outdoor sitting area with plants but not by the main entrance would be a great improvement. Out back somehow. ? I saw some tables outside but they were not inviting.

Location is great. We did have a big room.

No help with the luggage, bathrooms in lobby were locked and need a code, no noise blocker for door to room so you can hear everything in the hallway.

Very comfortable room. Decor was great throughout the lobby and room. Good dining options. Walkable to town.

Booked Mountain View room. While I could see the mountain, it was a restricted view between the hotel building and the building next door. Also had text the day before arrival to secure early arrival with an added fee, but upon arrival we were told the room was not ready and we would be text message when ready. Fine, we went to get lunch in the pub but never got texted. We came back to the hotel after 3pm and got checked in.

The only thing I liked was the location.

The staff we encountered were not friendly and not very accommodating.

It was very convenient and easily accessible to the hot springs and the nearby little town, which made it easy to get around and access everything we needed.

The room and bathroom were okay, but the sink was too small and could be a little more spacious.

The linens were super soft. The hotel is quiet and beautifully appointed.

It would be nice if the hotel offered tickets to local hot springs with a bigger discount.

The location to town is excellent. The front area to hangout in is nice.

The chandelier in the room we stayed in was offset from the bed and hung very low. If it is not going to be over the bed, move it up. I think you could have nicer toilet paper.

We liked the size of the room. The location was close to every where we wanted to walk to.

Everything was wonderful. Gorgeous room, amazing renovation. Great staff. Great products in the bathr.

Could have umbrellas

I booked through booking, and paid 185 dollars for a night. As I got there, they said that I need to pay for incidentals 50 dollar. I didn’t have a physical credit card on me, and they said it’s the only way to pay. They did not mention it in any place. I couldn’t pay with my physical card because it’s foreign, and I had to go back all the way to back to Denver, and did not spend night. And I was charged for the room. Absurd.

Not a 4 star hotel - rooms on the 3rd floor very small and dated with constant air con noise all night. Also the bedroom window looked into the lobby.

Excellent location with access to downtown and a walking trail.

The historic atmosphere was preserved while making upscale renovations. Beautiful! It was very convenient for us to arrive by Amtrak and then enjoy Glenwood Springs.

No breakfast was served--there was a great coffee shop, but the lines very very long in the mornings. Abrakfast for hotel guests would have been nice.

Our room was in the new wing-very nice!

We did not have a closet or wardrobe in our room which was somewhat inconvenient. Once we figured out how to get to 4 th floor it was manageable

We loved the location, was very convenient! Neat historical area. I loved that we were able to get takeout from the pub and coffee in the AM without going too far. The staff were awesome and able to accommodate an early check-in which really made our experience here so much better. The room was quaint and we ended up at the end of a hall on a corner room, so it was peaceful/removed from other visitors. We were also so happy that they were dog-friendly!

We found our room to be fairly dirty—not really a big problem because we’re not super sensitive to that, but we did have to clean up some broken glass on the floor before our pup found it. The price was a bit on the high end for what you get, especially after the pet and parking fees.

The lobby is truly impressive, with beautiful seating areas that create a welcoming atmosphere. It features artwork and historical photographs displayed throughout, adding a unique character to the hotel. The four-story-high lobby gives the property a grand and elegant feel. There are also historical artifacts displayed in different areas of the hotel, making it an interesting place to explore. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The rooms are quite small, and the bathroom is very compact. Although the hotel has a historic charm, I believe the guest rooms could benefit from some renovation and modernization. There was also a continuous knocking or tapping noise throughout the night, possibly coming from the air conditioning system. Another minor inconvenience is that the hotel does not have a small convenience store for basic necessities, which is something many hotels offer. There is also no restaurant or café inside the hotel. However, there are several good restaurants and coffee shops located immediately next to the hotel, so finding food or drinks is very easy.

Location is great, beautiful hotel, nice staff. We are repeat customers. We did get a main floor room as requested. Super dining spots so close.

Our king suite room in new next door addition,Denver Center, was newly remodeled but very small prior to previous stay at main hotel . Overnight parking is $20 per night as of 2026, it was free last year.

Air conditioning was too noisy

It was very clean and thematic. The robes were small but comfortable. It was very convenient to have shopping nearby. Amtrak was super close. They were helpful in finding another solution to Uber. Staff were friendly.

We paid extra for a "river view room." However, the room was directly across from the Amtrak. I couldn't see the river from the room. I did, however, get a Mountain View, featuring the "only U.S. mountain top amusement park."

So accessible and easy to book.

The lobby is amazing and inviting. You want to hang out there before going up to your room. Our pillows were my favorite of any hotel. They were the perfect size and firmness. I wish I had peeked at the brand to buy some for myself. The room was quiet and I didn’t hear any other guests.

There wasn’t room for us to park at the front to check in. We circled the block a couple times and then parked aways away before checking in and then opted to pay in one of their lots a block away.

Check in always a breeze and early check in no problem !

Noisy hallways. Sound travels through doors and walls. When is noisy it's noisy! But was pretty quiet at night as the kids and dogs quieted down.

Issued $150 dollar ticket for parking in a disabled parking spot, with a current and displayed disabled placard. I asked the front desk the morning after arrival if it was ok to park there and they responded yes. Staff then lied and said it wasn’t the hotel when in fact it was their hired security. 2 hour parking all around the hotel so paid parking is only option. No signs directly in front of the parking stall only signs to the right blocked by the truck parked there.

All staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The hotel had a wonderful décor and atmosphere being welcoming, warm and comfortable. The room and bed were very comfortable.

Affordable and upscale, bought hot springs tickets at the front desk and easily walked to the hot springs. This hotel has easy walking distance to many interesting locales.

Window of our hotel room looked out onto ground floor patio and ally. parking in hotel lot is $20 a night, or you can park for free on the street. well behaved houseless folks use nearby riverfront for chillin.

Loved the way they incorporated the old with the new. Lots of memories of Hotel Denver now Maxwell Anderson.

We did not like not having outside light. Felt like we got a room on the inside of the cruise ship. But bigger. Used the space they had but we paid more with Bookings than friends who reserved direct with hotel who had an outside room.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The rooms were extremely well presented, very comfortable and clean. The staff were warm and friendly, the service impeccable. The hotel has a Brewpub attached, serving delicious beer and cocktails. The service is outstanding. The hotel is well positioned in close proximity to lovely restaurants and cafes. The Glenwood Hot Springs is a short walk from the hotel over the bridge.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the location is ideal with a variety of resturaunts & cafes within walking distance. The hotel itself is very old and charming & has a cozy vibe to it.

There were 3 seperate parts of the building that my friends and I had to walk between, one having to walk outside to our rooms. So that was a bit odd, but if we called directly instead of booking online it was mentioned that could possibly be avoided in the future so that's definitely what we'd do next time.

Decor was visually pleasing. Bed comfy, bed linens soft and nice, towels fluffy and the room was very clean. Also liked the robes. We took them with ua to the hot sping spa across the street.

The nearby restaurants closed early, not sure if they were actually part of the hotel but if you want dinner after soaking in the hot springs you should plan ahead. Lucily we were able to grab some tasty takeout fromthr farm table place and then we ate it in the hotel lobby, which was lovely.

The conversion from the original Hotel Denver has been done tastefully with references to history. Great location and a good lobby area for relaxing. Good to have the franchise eatery options on site.Really nice rooms.

The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Kyra on the front desk took care of our every need. The location of the property made both restaurants and the hot springs all walkable. Having both a coffee shop and craft brewery in the building was the cherry on top of an excellent stay!

Right next to train should be noted as it was very loud. No daily housekeeping. They Charged my room cost ahead of time when they said that they would charge the room on site at checkin and was an issue. Really Bad pullout couch mattress. Bad room noise mitigation - could hear upstairs room shower, toilet and walking around above us. Didn’t like light switch outside bathroom.

We were met by a helpful desk clerk and not treated like we were going to steal the TV or wreck a room.

Breakfast options of either a Bel-vita or Granola bar would have been nice or at least a recommendation to nearby location.
