There were some kind of beetles in the room. The room also got a weird foul smell during our stay and renovations started at 7am. There was hammering for two hours straight.

when i booked , i was told that there is a room to store our bicycle. when we arrived, there was none and we were forced to bring the bike to our room. HASSLE. and please advise people booking that your gym is still under renovation.

Renovations ongoing which is understandable, but the cleanliness was atrocious, drywall dust covering everything in the lobby, we wouldn't even attempt to enjoy the on-site breakfast as the dining room was also completely covered in drywall dust, and not just a little dust, like completely covered. We were shocked that they even served food in the dining room. So that was a huge disappointment, we paid a good amount of money for the room hoping breakfast would be available on site, but it wasnt even an option with the state of the dining hall. The room was ok, but not very clean either, and there was no smoke detector as it was removed and not replaced..the pool area was just savage, super dirty, pool was wasnt even remotely clean, foggy water you couldn't even see through, so it was good we didnt have alot of intentions hanging out at the hotel, we enjoyed our days at the beach and away from the property. I do understand that renovations need to take place, but their handling of it was not good. A much better job of tidying up after the work day was done should have had alot more effort. Won't be staying there again for these reasons, and certainly won't recommend it to anyone.

Long story short the hotel double charged me and I'm waiting to hear back about the pending double charge to see if it actually comes back to my account. The staff assured me that I hadn't been twice charged but I definitely have been. Now just waiting to hear back

During my stay, the breakfast area was under renovation, so breakfast was served in the hallway, surrounded by dust and construction debris. I found this quite unhygienic and not up to the standard l'd expect. It would have been better if the hotel had simply informed guests in advance that breakfast wasn't available during the renovation, rather than charging for it as usual. On top of that, one night I needed boiling water, which the hotel didn't have available.Instead of the staff handling it, l was told to go to the back room myself, grab a few bottles of water, pour them into the hot water dispenser (which was empty) and then wait in the lobby until it boiled before taking it. To make things worse, the front desk staff were consistently rude and unhelpful throughout my stay, which made an already frustrating situation even more unpleasant. The noise from the water pipes was disturbing for my family - both when we used the water ourselves and when neighboring rooms used theirs.

Construction was going on during hour stay, little bit dusty and construction materials were in pool area uncovered which look dangerous. No towel hangar in the bathroom. It was hard to find the parking in the evening.

Horrible night time staff. My husband and I drove from 10am till 1am travelling and sightseeing the mountains with a booked reservation for this hotel. We stayed it would be a late arrival. Upon arrival at 2am the front desk staff immediately welcomed me with sheer sass and an unwelcoming tone, assuming I was a walk-in. We were not, we were the last arrival for them staff working: easy peasy! You would assume. The clerk refused to understand that I had limited funds on my credit card available for the room and tax, and a huge language barrier took place when explaining our situation from staying in another hotel the night prior. She said that “you have not money” as my visa debit was declined - I offered to transfer money to my credit card to pay for the total deposit and room and taxes and the clerk continued to say my card was declined, I showed her my statement and it was not, $100 still remains on hold from this hotel and they claim it’s not being held yet I can’t access my funds. The hotel declined to check us in and police were called as the incident escalated between the horrible front desk staff telling my husband and I we were essentially poor, we even explained the situation to the cop and the clerk again. At this point she was not offering any help, we were sleep deprived and turned away from the hotel - in a sold out city. We found a room late down the road in Kelowna with no issues checking in. I will never return to HOLIDAY Inn and this employee should be terminated for such horrible and judgmental customer service. Were were traveling back from Edmonton following a medical emergency surgery for our daughter. Shame shame shame on you holiday inn!

Although we like IHG hotels, this one missed the mark. The pool area was disgusting. It was dirty, water was murky, bandaids and toilet paper on the floor, big chunks of black hair in the pool. Hot pool wasnt even hot. When addressed to front desk they didn't seem to care and pushed us off. Although the breakfast area was under construction we did not see anyone maintaining it, and some of the food wasn't replenished. The renovated rooms were great. Did the survey......but still have not heard back..........seems they just don't care

Jetted tub, the jets didn't work and it was so late at night we didn't ask for assistance because we needed to get to sleep for our long day of traveling the next day.

Everything was pretty good for the peak season. The room was recently renovated, very neat and clean closer to 4 stars.

Message about renovations after booking not before. We weren't affected, but obviously you want to know prior somehow. No cartoon channels for kids on TV. Nothing major. Exactly what you expect from Holiday Inn Express.

Hotel werd gerenoveerd. Wij hoorden dit pas nadat we geboekt hadden. Gerenoveerde kamer bevond zich in gang waar gerenoveerd werd. Werklui waren bezig. Raam kamer was aan buitenzijde dichtgeplakt met plastic omdat men de buitenzijde aan het schilderen was. De wastafelkraan in de badkamer maakte heeel veeel lawaai. Het hotel is zeer gehorig. Je hoort alles van de "buren". Prijs/kwaliteit van dit hotel is ver te zoeken. Een prijsreductie was op zijn plaats geweest in dit geval.

However, the spray painting on the roof outside in the breeze was horrible. Nobody notified us this was happening. I would expect a lawsuit in your future.

Very comfortable Beds, quite and nice breakfast. Staff were pleasant . Upon checking out we were told that our damage deposit would be refunded in 3 days and it will show on our visa. It has been over 9 days now and still not there. Don't know how to get a hold of them.

It was very good and they had a bag said grab and go. Hotel had a goody bag for everyone to grab what they want to eat during the day and it was very generous and creative give away.

I expected the price be less but because we had a wedding invitation was in weekend we came during the days which was expensive and during the week the price was half of what we paid.

The location was great and the layout overall was easy to navigate

Paper plates and plastic cutlery changed the luxurious vibe. Plates, maybe ok but plastic cutlery is awful & diminished the end of our stay. Warmed plates would help with the not so hot breakfast ( although quite good)

The only downside that we found was that there was no way to hang up your hand hand towel towels she were done with them in the washing room, but this must be also because they are renovating the rooms, they may have forgotten to put one in

Very clean room, friendly staff! Breakfast was excellent, Luda and Tanya were very kind, friendly I was watching them how much they were taking care of the guests during breakfast. Was very organized and clean in the dining room and kitchen. If I decide to come back to Vernon definitely will stay in this hotel! :) Thank you for your hard work!

The parking lot was cluttered with construction debris. New bathroom fixtures sitting in flower beds out in the elements. Green spaces around the building had so much trash and broken items, it took away from the enjoyment. The outside patio was dirty and blocked by construction materials

The wall thermostat did not control the room temp.it was 25C and made it difficult to sleep. We finally figured out the cooling unit below the window had its own controls.

Easy to get to. Friendly staff. Great full breakfast. Overall it was clean and quiet considering all the renovations.

They were doing renovations. In our room there was no place to hang your towels but that may be due to all the renovations and availability of supplies.

Breakfast was good. Staff were very polite and accommodating especially when changing us to a quieter room (see below comments). Our room the second night was very quiet and newer so we really enjoyed staying in it.

On our first night we were in a ground floor room. It was very noisy. Especially every time someone win another room turned on a tap, flushed a toilet or used a shower. It sounded literally like a jet engine. We barely got any sleep that night. We had to change rooms for our second night

I stayed here a number of years ago and unfortunately it has really gone downhill since then. The lobby furniture was filthy and looked very worn and shabby. The hallways were also dirty and had an unpleasant smell, which made the overall first impression quite poor. The room itself was okay and reasonably comfortable, but the condition of the common areas made the stay generally disappointing. It’s unfortunate because this property used to be much better. I hope management invests in some cleaning and upkeep to bring it back to its previous standard

Location was okay to get to Silver Star for skiing but is not in the nicest area if you need to walk.

Under going renovations on 2 nd and 3 rd floor so construction equipment outside (containers, dumpsters, etc) and told first floor is next. We stayed on the first floor with leaking faucet and a toilet that lost water so would ran on and off. Asked to repair at front desk, housekeeper came and stated would fix next day, just shut off water at night. Repairs were never made. Also waiting on projects to be done in the pool / hot tub area (tiles broken or being repaired) along with ceiling being water damage.

Nice bright and clean bathroom. Good continental breakfast. The room was comfortable as was the bed.

If we were to stay again I would request a room at the other end of the building as we were close to the highway and did notice the traffic noise but probably because we are used to no noise at night

The breakfast and staff were amazing. Very happy employees, always working around the buffet to clean and stock up the foI. I was most impressed by the staff they worked hard....and they were happy! Beds were amazing.

our issue was not with the hotel...it was with booking. com We arrived to the hotel after a long day and were told that the booking was for any type of room. They gave us the wheelchair room. the shower head was for a person sitting. it was to low, we had to bend over to get wet. The shower head kept falling off the hook into the bath tub. The view was of a fence, but that was not a deal breaker. Disappointed with the hot tub and pool, they were both cloudy. Great staff though. Very nice, and easy to deal with.

The room and bathroom wash very clean and comfortable and I would rate it "very good". The staff were very friendly. The location was very easy to find as well.

The included breakfast was disappointing. The eggs, bacon and sausages were quite bland and rather tasteless. The coffee was okay but could have been stronger or at least an optional dark roast coffee could have been available.
