the breakfast was good liked the fresh fruit, staff was helpful
Breakfast was fair, location good hi
Bed was too close to window- hard to get by
We were evacuated from the wildfire in Summerland on August 7/2026– as we were driving I was calling places and I was having no luck finding a place for my guy, myself and a 4 year old. I called the Fairfield Marriott in Vernon and explained my situation and the lady on the phone said they had one room available and it was a cancellation so it was ours. I must say that we got outstanding service from them, and nothing but kindness and compassion. So good to see in times of crisis. Thank you so much for your hospitality ❤️
Kiva että perusaamiainen kuului hintaan. Uima-allas ja lämminvesiallas kivoja. Hyvä äänieristys. Lyhyt kävelymatka isoon ruokakauppaan ja ravintoloihin. Ajomatkan päässä rantoja. Henkilökunta mukavaa, saimme pyydettäessä myöhäisemmän uloskirjautumisen.
Majoitukseen ei oikeasti mahtunutkaan 5 ihmistä, yksi joutui nukkumaan lattialla ilman patjaa. Isoin huone oli siis oikeasti 4 hengelle. Jääkaapissa oli riisiä tullessamme. Aamiainen syötiin kertakäyttöastioista - kamalasti jätettä eikä kierrätystä lainkaan. Sijainti melko karu.
Location
Silverfish in the bathtub
Freundlicher Empfang. Gute Lage.
Upon check-in with my family, we arrived to a dirty room. The carpet had very obviously not been vacuumed. Doritos, almonds, and hair were scattered throughout the corners. I immediately reported to the front desk that I didn’t think our room was quite ready for guests. Instead of being offered to transfer rooms the front desk advised they would come up and vacuum while we went out for dinner. Awkward, but I agreed. We arrived back and it was better but still not great. Hopped in the shower to find the amenities completely empty. Had to call down to the front desk to ask for shampoo. Tried to settle the kids in for a movie and the TV wasn’t working. All of this was brought to the attention of the front desk, and they sincerely apologized, but it never went beyond an apology. All of these were small inconveniences but they did put a damper on our fun family vacation in the hotel. I will probably not stay here again.
A warning to anyone planning on staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Vernon: I booked a rate for this hotel through the Marriott app. A month later I was contacted by this hotel to inform me that this rate would not be honoured, and instead changed the rate on my reservation to more than double the original rate. I reached out to Marriott Customer Care, and have currently been promised a response 4 times, and never received one. I am being forced to cancel this reservation due to poor customer service for the first time in over a decade of Marriott loyalty (Current Titanium member, lifetime platinum member)
Comfortable, clean , location Breakfast was Standard.
Liked the location, parking, breakfast and convenience.
Bathroom fan didn’t work, when toilet was flushed there was a loud gurgling sound in the bath tub drain.
The pool was great for the kids and the breakfast was good.
Perfect location, very nice people with great Service. Great breakfast!
Zimmer sind grosszügig. Morgenessen gut.
Sauberkeit Poolbereich und auf den Gängen ungenügend. Einige Dinge sind heruntergekommen.
Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. A/C worked really good.
There was a guy across the street lighting up his spoon and getting his drugs ready to inject. He looked homeless but not what I wanted to see when paying almost $500 for a night. Breakfast was busy and food was sparse. We didn’t end up having anything.
It was clean, friendly staff and reasonable priced.
Nothing to report
Loved that the property has a no‑pet policy. I will let all my friends who are allergic to pet know.
The location and pool were great.
The bed was uncomfortable
We got here at 9 pm after a 4 hour drive. While I was checking jn my husband went to get a drink and brought it to the front desk. While standing and waiting thd front desk clerk asked if he was ok? He said yes and asked why? The front desk clerk then said " im wondering why you are in my space?" We looked at each other in shock. Then she asked for my credit card and charged the room. I told her it was booked through my avion rewards. She didn't know what that was and asked to see my avion account on my phone. I asked for the managers name . Reply" i cant give you that information " after she sorted out my reservation I asked for her name reply" i cant give you that information " i have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel in my life. Do better Marriot. Email has been sent to manager as all i had to do was ask Google! Deeply disappointed.
the room was great if the TV in front of the bed had been working with the remote. tried for 20 mins and therefore missed my chance to go to the pool before it closed. ended up having to move the mattress onto the pullout couch so that we could watch TV in bed. so was lopsided on sides. also my partner had a really bad cold so he was too weak to assist me in putting it back which left me with my broken ankle to move it back onto the boxspring. also the free breakfast was disappointing, tge sausages looked as if they had just been lightly boiled, leaving them looking very unappetising. the evening and morning staff at the front desk did attempt to help me as best they could and for that I was grateful. personally I likely would not stay again for over $200, it was not worth the amount in my case.
-undercooked sausage -TV not functioning in the bedroom -missed out on the pool and hottub trying to fix the TV issue - cost was on the high end
Natalia at the front desk was amazing and was able to get us in to our rooms early which was appreciated.
Good location, kids loved the pool and waterslide
Piles of new/used mattresses everywhere, even in the lobby
All was good
Breakfast was great. Selection was very good
Noisey kids up stairs in hotel room at 10pm at night. No soap in bathroom.
The pool was great and slide was very fast. Crib was provided and in room upon our later arrival which helped with less luggage for us to bring and made bedtime easier. Good cheesey eggs and overall breakfast.
Shower was ice cold. Had expensive family photos booked for this trip. We all had to shower in literal ice cold showers. Complained to front desk and they said they would have it looked at. Waited an hour but we really had to get going so forced children and ourselves to shower in the cold to be ready in time for the photos (baby didn’t get to shower or bath unfortunately). That was super disappointing and not a great way to start a very busy day. That night there was hot water for showers but we didn’t really need them so much by then. No garbage bags. We have a toddler and a baby in diapers. Asked down stairs front desk and he had none… the garbage cans in the rooms didn’t have any in them either which was strange. No trays to bring food up to our room. We have young children and going down early morning with everyone to eat sounded like a nightmare. We wanted to eat in the privacy of our room while getting ready for the day. No trays. Had to carry up all our food on flimsy paper plates. Second trip for drinks and coffee…
Hotwater not provided, Body wash and shampoo not provided
Supper accommodating and friendly, I asked them to get into the room before to decorate it for my partner and they did everything to help me, nice hot breakfast!
Construction Nightmare-They are renovating the third floor. Jackhammering throughout the day right above our room on the second floor. When asked why I was not told about this when making the reservation, the front desk staff said they were not allowed to tell anyone. They were also not able to change my room. I went to the fourth floor to check the noise level (already renovated) the housekeeping staff said they were also not allowed to say anything about the construction. They also pointed out rooms that were not occupied. I returned to the front desk and asked for the manager. A man in construction clothes appeared and asked me “What is my problem?” He said that they were renovating the rooms for me, the guest, and wanted me to suggest a time when it would be alright to renovate in the year. He said that I would neither get a discount or a room change or a refund. I was shocked at his answer and tried to explain (tearfully) that my father in law had just passed away in the Vernon Hospital and we needed some quiet space to make family phone calls. After he rolled his eyes, he reluctantly changed us to another room on the fourth floor. We could not hear any noise and although we were downgraded from a king to a double queen room, there was no discount or refund. The room was mostly renovated but lacking towel racks or outlet covers. Be very careful when you book this hotel. The management have a cavalier attitude toward guests and do not care about anyone.
We arrived with a confirmed reservation after a long drive, but after 1.5 hours of waiting, the hotel still could not check us in. Late in the evening, our family had to search for another hotel. The staff was unprofessional and not helpful at all. Extremely disappointing experience, especially for a Marriott property.

Comfortable
Good breakfast and location.
Bed was never made and room never or poorly cleaned. Garbage and recycling were overflowing.
Great short stay, excellent breakfast
All good
New and location.
N/A
Location and we have stayed here before and it was perfectly fine
Our room is as not clean. I found someone’s else’s soap in shower upon arrival. The conditioner and body wash bottles were completely empty on wall in shower which made me believe the bathroom was not cleaned at all besides towels. There was garbage under the hide a bed. No proper sheets for the hide a bed even though our reso we needed the bed. It made me question the cleanliness of ever thing in the room. I spoke to front desk as soon as we noticed. I also spoke in morning and she assured me they would do something. Well they offered 15% off and that’s not good enough for a dirty room. You don’t book into a hotel to question the cleanliness especially not a nice newer one like the Fairfield I was hoping they would make it right. Offer a free night a better discount. Something to make us want to give them another chance.
Smelled amazing , clean comfortable, pool exactly as advertise. Rooms were big and price point was great.
Can’t say anything bad
The room and facility was very clean and well appointed. It was located near the highway which made it convenient. There were several places to eat nearby so we could easily walk to dinner.
nothing. It was quiet and restful.
Clean and comfy bed
Nothing
Good breakfast.
My partner did not like the coffee but there is an excellent coffee place across the street.
Good choices of healthy food and clean dining area
Noisy bar fridge in bedroom
The rooms were very nice and the staff was great. They were able to answer all their questions and even though we had a little problem with the television, they jumped right on it and had it fixed in no time.
The breakfast wasn’t bad, but I definitely would’ve liked a few gluten-free options
Très bien situé! Près de la montagne de ski Silvertar et de nombreux restaurants à proximoité. Bon petit déjeuner
A part le café que nous avons trouvé fade, tout était très bien.
Update: I finally got back the money that they wrongly charged my credit card. All it took was one week’s worth of effort, hours on the phone with the hotel, the head office and others. Threats of filing a complaint with the head office (which was a total waste of time as they basically said that the Fairfield Vernon would investigate itself), calling Visa and asking for a chargeback, and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau seems to have finally woken them up. Still, zero communication from the hotel manager Ashley. No apology, no admitting a mistake- nothing. Considering this is a Marriott Fairfield hotel, it is an absolute joke and you do not want to stay here if this is how the management of this hotel behaves. I stay at Fairfield Inn locations whenever possible- particularly the Penticton and sometimes Kelowna location. I very much enjoy this hotel brand. I have an upcoming trip to the Okanagan this spring and booked a one night stay at the Vernon Fairfield. I have since canceled it. Earlier this week I rebooked my room (fully refundable as I paid a higher rate) to a better one and even though I chose the refundable “pay when checking in” option a preauthorization appeared on my card. For an entire day I tried calling the hotel with no answer and no ability to leave a voicemail. The preauthorization is now a charge on my credit card. I called back the hotel today (4 days later) and was told their phones had been out of service until just this morning. I asked about the charge on my credit card, and unlike other charges which show I have booked through a third party (hotels.com) this charge was from Fairfield Vernon. After some discussion with someone at the front desk, it seems that the hotel erroneously charged several guests credit cards (for future stays). I was told that the manager "was working on it". SHAME ON YOU for not calling the clients that you improperly charged rather than making them chase you for reimbursement. What do you think goes through a guest's mind when they get charged for something they shouldn't have been charged for, and then when they try to call you to resolve it, they can't ever get through? This entire experience falls incredibly short of the professionalism that I am used to when staying at Fairfield properties I have canceled my reservation and I will EVER stay at this particular property in the future. The cost of hotels in this province is a JOKE, and if I am going to be paying the hundreds of dollars per night that I am paying to stay at a Fairfield, the very least they can do is respect my continued business and also respect their clients enough to get ahead of a problem and contact the guest rather than making that guest chase them. VERY poor management. Everyone has problems at times, but you completely dropped the ball on how you handled this. And the stupid thing is, I NEVER book a hotel without reading reviews. I didn't read the reviews for this Fairfield location, and they are HORRIBLE. Unsanitary conditions at hotel, history of overcharging guests, safety and drug issues. And the worst part? No responses from management which shows they clearly do not care. Sleep in your car before you stay here. You'll be better off.
Property was clean and good location.
Our room was located next to the heat pumps do some noise.
The breakfast was not good.
Breakfast was great the pool was fantastic. We stayed on the long weekend so it was a bit noisy above us. Overall good stay.
The upstairs room was loud.
Jacuzzi was not working at all, for $200/night stay it’s completely not worth it, rooms are like motel, breakfast was way better when they first opened. Now it’s just money grab.
Iam expecting functional utility, shower head was horrible, definitely 1star.
the bed in our room sagged towards the middle and the pillows were terrible. Breakfast was not bad but the hot sausage and potatoes went in the garbage.
adequate breakfast, variety, staff courteous,
carpet had not been cleaned in a long time , many stains
The breakfast was not good but the coffee was good
The sausages were gross the hashbrowns were cold there was no bread for toast
Hôtel propre en général, chambre correcte, wifi appréciable pour le travail
Lit très mou et qui renfonce, oreillers avec taches douteuses, rideaux déchirés dans ma chambre. Déjeuner très ordinaire.
The location was good.
Not many options for breakfast, only one waffle maker for all guests so have to wait a long time. Other prepared breakfast items were not fully cooked through and were cold. Our bathroom was not cleaned properly. The rooms were way too warm and we were not able to adjust the temperature or even open the window enough to cool it off. For the amount of money spent per night, I expected the breakfast to be better and the room to have A/C
How close it was to all amenities.
Fan in bathroom ran continuously and was hard to sleep.
Great location and hotel has the pool and waterslide. Staff very friendly .
Temp in room registered 70 F but blew cold air throughout the night. The bedding was too thin . We were freezing the whole night we had to wear our coats to bed ! Also not pet friendly yet hall and suite carpets stained. Some trim in room ripped off . Hair in sink. Tissue box empty. Four coffee pods only two coffee condiments no tea. We were a family of four and booked suite in Oct for Dec. Family member is 90 yrs old with mobility issues and I stated that and requested a suite close to elevator . We were given a suite at the very end of hall . A long walk for a 90 yr old. Breakfast ran out of fresh fruit and yoghurt. Sausages were blue and wet. Bagels were stale and hard . My Boston terrier had to stay in car overnight in -9 temp . So ridiculous considering all the stains ! Never again and I will not recommend this Vernon hotel.
Cleanliness
They had a problem with my credit card. I overpaid and they are not getting back to me about it
The staff were wonderful. Disappointed there was no usb plug to charge my phone, breakfast was just not good. A used coffee was left in the machine. Don’t know if I will consider this location on my next trip to Vernon
See above
The girls at check-in were really nice and funny.
The tv was slow as hell to respond to commands.
Very clean and staff were warm and welcoming on arrival. The location is very convenient for restaurants, cafés, and some entertainment. Downtown is a 5-10min drive.
Quite dated inside, with the bathrooms showing age.
It is a complicated story and it has been escalated THREE TIMES. The hotel was mediocre. Lightbulbs burned out, ice makers broken, toilet not working. The main part though is that I was OVERCHARGED by just over $400. No one will return my numerous calls from the hotel. Central reservations has CLOSED the case, with no compensation even though they have previously identified the need for a refund. Buyer Beware of this very below standard Marriot Hotel.
Check in staff were very friendly and helpful
The carpets in the dining room looked filthy and the breakfast was not great.
My room was ready at 1 that was great!
The bed was very uncomfortable and the breakfast at holiday inn is much better. Sorry I prefer the holiday inn
Good location. With our window open traffic was pretty loud but not a big deal. Bed was comfy, good breakfast options! We had a couple towel/linen with marks which made me wonder how clean it was, however nothing that would keep me from returning
Up to Marriott standard. Free parking was a plus after our Vancouver experience of charged parking.
Large quiet room, clean and the bed was very comfortable
Hotel is quite run down for a Fairfield inn & Suites. There isn’t much of a cleaning team for the common hallways. Ice makers all smudged and dirty damaged walls and corners. The same things carried into the room. Light didn’t work when I entered the room, the bathroom has oily “stuff” that looks like was sprayed on the ceiling. An access whole was covered up with a plate that has half fallen off. Some of the molding was missing near the shower. Generally not cared for. The whole room needs some “care”. The worst part though? The staff just doesn’t care. They have this person who barely understands English at the front desk. She said she would get the light fixed, but no one came yesterday. I don’t recommend staying here for the breakfast either. It’s just slop. Uncooked white mush for hasbrowns. Gross sausages that may have been “warmed” up, also not cooked. They had zero color on them. Their eggs were those omlettes folded in half with fake cheese inside. This place is so cheap they cut those in half and then all the fake orange cheese was melted out of the omelette. They also had some plain eggs that I wouldn’t have served my dogs. The rest is all carbs & sugar which I don’t even look at. I am normally a Titanium member, didn’t quite make it last year, but will again this year. Debating if it’s worth it as if this is their quality of hotel I’d rather choose a different option.
Everything about this hotel was good other than the bathroom could have used some maintaining. There was black mildew along the edges of the bath tub, the faucet spout in the bath tub had almost completely fallen off and the shower head was barely spitting water as if it was almost completely plugged. Other than that, the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.
Very easy parking nice clean rooms and quiet
Rooms were great
No breakfast variety. Same hot selection two da ya in row. Plumbing problem in room. Overpriced for quality of say.
Great hotel, very convenient
Best place.
Dirty room, stains on the bed, found hair in the shower. Would never go back. Looks nice from the outside but the staff is rude and my room was disgusting.
Hotel is in very good shape, maybe 10 years old. Pool and waterslide was excellent for 7 yro. Breakfast selection was excellent, with waffle station, sausages, eggs, and hash browns with all the regular cold choices. Decent coffee, juices, and yogurts. Would stay here again. Did find booking online cheaper than going phoning Fairfield reservation desk.
Consistent
Bed was too soft for me.
Ok
First, TV service is terrible, no “guide” except for Channels that are available. No guide of programming. Looks like they were “on the cheap”. The morning buffet is similar, I was told they have the proper tools to provide better quality.
Very nice clean and pool area was kept up as well
Gute Lage, komfortable Matratzen für einen guten Schlaf.
Newer hotel; clean; decent breakfast. Close to coffee shop and restaurants
חדר גדול מקלחת גדולה מקום לעבודה
הווילונות היו לא תקינים
Good breakfast included.
I only had coffee and orange juice and they were good.
I saw there were only paper plates and bowls at breakfast. Not really a favourite of mine.
i arrived just after 5pm and they told me my room wasn't ready - check in is at 4pm so not sure why my room wouldn't be ready. They were able to find me a different room. Staff were nice. My room was a bit gross though - little details matter like cleaning the walls and bathroom door and floor would be a great thing to do....
