Centrally located but the parking was haphazard.

At 6:30 lawn maintenance in an adjoining property was weed whacking and had the gas blower on to clear the debris around the garbage bins. It lasted for half an hour or more. Book on the second floor if possible.

Locations near to everything. Comfortable.

Charged me extra. when I inquired accidentally charged me for animal fee (which we don’t have animal). The guy fixed it & gave me the right receipt but when I checked in my bank statement the extra amount of payment is not yet returned.

The breakfast wasn’t great. Also the alarm clock in the room had been set for the middle of the night and woke us up and we had a long day of travel.

It was clean, tidy, and quiet. The service was great, everyone was very helpful and nice.

I hadn’t stayed in many Super 8 motels before our latest road trip. This hotel was comfortable and clean.

I cannot think of one thing, I love everything about this place, especially how accommodating it is for my dog. Also, honouring my request for the same room each time I visit.

Booked my room via booking.com 2 days in advance and indicated I was travelling with a pet, so required a pet friendly room. I booked and paid for a standard room with 2 queen beds. On the day of check in, the hotel contacted me 1 hour before my arrival time of 645 pm, that all they had avail for pet friendly rooms was 1 bed and a couch. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to accept this but was not happy since I booked 2 queen beds and I had another long day of driving the next day and we both needed a good night sleep. The lady that checked me in even said they had lots of prior complaints about booking confusion. At checkout the following morning I asked if they could waive the $20 pet fee since my booking was messed up and the lady said my room was actually upgraded. In my world a room with 2 queen beds is much better than a room with 1 bed and a couch. At this point I was referred to the manager. This is where things went sideways, the manager came out with an attutude and basically implied the booking error was completely my fault even though I indicated I was travelling with a pet in the original booking. I could tell the manager was not willing to budge on the waiver of the pet fee especially when he dismissed me and walked back to his office. Apparently from a customer service perspective he is Ok with a bad review instead of agreeing to a simple request to waive a $20 pet fee. Unfortunately this booking confusion is between Super 8 and booking.com, but I am stuck in the middle. Reconsidering using either Super 8 or booking.com for any future bookings.

I was super impressed with the room. Clean!!! My #1 priority. Mattress and sheets were super. Slept just fine. Bathroom is where I will usually complain--none here at all. The breakfast options included fresh fruit, Oikos yogurt, cereals and milk, containers of milk alternatives, hard boiled eggs, bagels, white and whole wheat bread, make your own waffles, coffee/tea, various juices. I also noticed a gluten free bread option. This hotel provides courtesy coffee, tea, water, and juices continually throughout the day and night. This was so appreciated considering there were nights of very late arrivals back to my room and I didn't have bottles of water, plus a hot tea was exactly what I needed. Thank you!!

I would recommend that the hotel management look into providing main, front building doors that open automatically. It was very difficult to hold the doors open while pulling/carrying luggage, bags.

Clean, comfortable rooms with great staff. When travelling to or through SSMarie, I always book with you. An added bonus is your complimentary breakfast. I keep coming back for those waffles!!

J’ai réservé via booking.com et envoyé un courriel tout de suite après pour spécifier que j’avais un animal de compagnie étant donné que la réservation sur le site ne permettait pas de la mentionner. Une fois arrivée après 18 heures de route, on me mentionne qu’ils ne peuvent pas me donner une chambre vu que j’ai un chien et qu’aucune chambre pet friendly n’est disponible. Rien à faire, booking.com va apparemment me rembourser… On appelle dans plusieurs places, plus rien de disponible nulle part vu que nous sommes dernière minute. Que puis je faire avec ça ?

Did not have a pet room even though they are listed on booking as a pet friendly property and I had prepaid for my room.

Very clean and sound proofing was excellent. Doors close gently so it was very quiet.

AC difficult to regulate without great deal of fan noise. Also, booked a room and indicated we had a dog, but staff said this wasn’t on reservation. While they accommodated us, very stressful to be confronted by this after 12 hours on the road.

It was very clean and the staff are very friendly. We have stayed twice this summer when driving through Sault Ste Marie.

Obtaining an invoice for our stay was impossible. Took about a week and the staff still have not sent an appropriate receipt for our stay. We need it for our employer. Bookings.com had to help us twice with this matter and the staff at this hotel do not seem to be informed they are responsible for pro iding receipts. Will not visit this location again.

At everything single booking, I sent a request for a ground floor room due to a disability to all hotels. This location was the only one who genuinely showed care and concern. I did not just get a ground floor room, I got a room for people with disabilities. I was for the first time since leaving home on our trip able to independently bathe! The room was impressive, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Hands down the best stay! Highly recommend.

Even though it supposedly was updated, it-especially hallways were not.

Standard continental breakfast with no hot items available, Toast, muffins and cold cereals. Tea, coffee, and cold juices available as well as fresh fruit and yogurt.

The property is a 2 story building with no elevator. If you have a problem using stairs you must make sure to request a room on the first floor when making your reservation.

Surroundings of the location were quiet at night, also no noise from neighbouring rooms. Except slamming doors once neighbours started leaving/going for breakfast in the morning. Beds were very comfortable and room was very large and looked like it was recently renovated. We had an excellent good night sleep.

Hotel exterior, reception and breakfast area looks quite basic and not so welcoming at first glance. The room though was much better than what those other areas suggested.

Room 118 next to an exit. The smokers were in and out at all hours. We couldn't open the window or run the air/heater for the smell and the hall and exterior door was slamming until 11 and started at 5 am. The walls vibrated each time.

Room is relatively new or recently renovated. Very spacious. Very clean. Great to have two lounging chairs for a change instead of the usual one for a room that sleeps two.

Breakfast had no hot items. We thought breakfast would be standardized across the Super 8 chain but apparently not. We like a hot breakfast while on the road because then we can skip lunch. Pillows were like overstuffed bags of lumpy cotton balls. Dreadful.

We stayed at the hotel on our trip to Toronto and my son forgot his power cord and on our return trip home they still had the cord! I love how they still had it and it didn’t get lost!

Location was great.

The breakfast could have been better with some fresh eggs (omelette or scrambled eggs) and a bacon or sausage. The Super 8 that I stayed at in Brandon Manitoba had eggs and sausage.

The location is fabulous and the staff are super friendly. My husband and I also enjoyed the continental breakfast - it had everything we needed and a staff member was constantly keeping this area clean.

It was under construction which was unfortunate, but understandable as there is no other way to keep rooms updated for customers. Thanks :)

This is not the staff's fault, but the inconsiderate person(s) staying above me were extremely loud, moving about throughout the night and early morning and keeping me up.

Ice machine was not working no ice available anywhere on site. I'm ok with the construction renovation at the time but the dirty boots were being tracked inside and gave a terrible feeling of a unclean area.
