It’s a non smoking floor but it’s full of cigarette smoke smell along the floor corridor. One of the rooms’ bathroom was infested with little bugs.

退房之后，我存放在客房内的现金发生遗失。房间内的零钱还保留着，但大额钞票全部不见，涉及200新加坡币、10000泰铢以及200元人民币。我立刻通过Booking站内信联系酒店，申请核查保洁记录与走廊监控，希望能够找回财物。 酒店回复监控与保洁记录只可以提供给当地警方，不向住客个人开放。由于我已经回到国内，不方便在当地报警，整件事酒店没有提供任何实际协助。 强烈提醒后续所有旅客：切勿将现金、贵重物品放置在客房内，退房务必反复清点全部个人物品，提高财物安全防范意识。 Cash went missing in my guest room after check‑out. Small change was still left in the room, while all large‑denomination banknotes including 200 Singapore Dollars, 10000 Thai Baht and 200 Chinese Yuan were gone. I immediately contacted the hotel via Booking message, requesting to check housekeeping logs and corridor CCTV footage to recover my belongings. The hotel replied that CCTV and housekeeping records can only be released to local police and cannot be shared with individual guests. As I am already back in my home country, it is not convenient for me to file a local police report. The hotel offered no practical support throughout the whole process. Strong warning for future travellers: Never leave cash or valuables inside the room. Double‑check all personal items before check‑out and take good care of your property.

Cet hôtel est idéalement situé pour découvrir Penang. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, Le petit déjeuner est varié et très bon.

-シャワーの排水、水はけが悪くて床がビショビショになる。 -1階で夜宴会？カラオケ大会が行われていて部屋まで聞こえてきていた。

The blanket & pillow casing is smelly. Could not sleep well. The hotel must assure to change it once the guests checked out. Please do not compromised with the quality control.

We like the ability to get a coffee from the lobby for RM$5. The location is great as it is walking distance to the eating streets and local eateries. Staff were friendly, helpful and and nice. They greeted us whenever we were in the lobby.

Our room had issues in the bathroom. Water was leaking from the shower or toilet. We also find the room a bit dated and smallish.

Hotel molto pulito e in una posizione ottima, personale gentilissimo...

櫃檯服務人員態度很好，餐廳服務員時刻保持整潔令人感受用心及衛生，地點很好，Grab到附近夜市都只要5-7馬幣，面海房間很美，面都市也有夜景。

房間裝潢陳舊，塵蟎過敏者不友善，前兩天床鋪還有傾斜問題，後兩天很ok.

The hotel's atmosphere and overall vibe are fantastic. It has a great location within easy walking distance of local food options, and a diverse, varied breakfast.

The room is too small and doesn’t feel like a four-star hotel as stated on the booking app. I have added extra bed for this room, It makes it even more narrow and the luggage is not at all.

Zabidi-cititel staff The experience from start to finish was excellent. It was nice to stay at a hotel where service is still highly regarded and where they actually cared about your time there. We were greeted by a staff member in a red blazer who guided us where to eat since we arrived around 3pm and most restaurants were closed. Before we stepped outside, he told us to wait as he stepped into the cloak room to get us a couple of umbrellas to ward off the searing sun above. He’d sometimes give us some bottles of cold drinks as we stepped back in from a long day out. Zabidi, thank you for showing us what Malaysian hospitality really means! Rooms were very spacious and for the ASMR inclined, the ac is controlled by analog switches. They even have ceiling fans in the room (also controlled by a knob that is clicky)!! Location wise, Cititel is only 15-20 minutes walk away from all the major attractions in Georgetown. There’s great food to be had everywhere but if you get tired from all the walking, their in-house authentic Japanese restaurant was also top notch. The dashimaki tamago and premium futomaki was great and try their own Kirishima umeshu brew (plum wine) if you drink. Cititel we will see you again!

L'emplacement, la gentillesse et la taille de l'accueil, les boissons offertes à chaque arrivée. Certes l'hôtel n'est pas de 1er jeunesse mais bien préservé. Le p'tit dej est aussi très complet. L'emplacement, c'est la capitale mondiale du street food. Top

En pinaillant, on va dire que la moquette pourrait faire plus moderne mais à part ça rien n'a dire. Cependant c'est pas à côté des plages c'est pour le cœur de ville.

bedsheet had blood stains, TV is outdated, not smart TV, water dropping sounds in the room at night.

Before I comment about cititel Penang, let me tell you about Ramada Jeddah which I booked through you beginning of April. It was simply a disaster product.

Good breakfast, a good Japanese restaurant and staff went extra miles to ensure customer request are well taken care of - we had a cake given when requested to celebrate the wedding anniversary of a couple travelling with us at a very last minute and the friendly staff went the extra mile to provide that from the kitchen. Excellent location for touring and food hunt.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Front Office team for their outstanding assistance. On 30th May, I mistakenly booked the room for 6th June. Despite my error, the Front Office staff patiently helped me cancel the incorrect booking and amend it to the correct date. I truly appreciate the time and effort they took to assist me. What impressed me most was that this was during the school holiday season, when hotels are usually very busy. Even with the last-minute changes, they managed to arrange a room for my family. My aunt and uncle are elderly, and they had travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. As it was a public holiday weekend, the traffic was extremely heavy and the journey was tiring for them. Thanks to the Front Office team's understanding and efficiency, everything was settled smoothly, making their trip much more comfortable. Thank you once again to all the Front Office staff for your kindness, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Your help was greatly appreciated, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Penang.

I stayed in room 1715. I chose the hotel because of the location and it’s very close to the famous blue mansion. The hotel is quite large and you can definitely tell that this was a premium hotel back in the days. It is definitely not new, but I believe management does good effort to maintain it. My room was facing the sea, which was really lovely. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need, even toothbrush. I especially loved that they offer you a jug to refill water at the dispenser in the corridor for free. Always appreciate free water at the hotel and this was really great. That was actually comfortable, more than I expected. Breakfast was good, white selection, even some sushi, nothing surprising, but you can definitely pick something. Staff was very thoughtful and very helpful at the reception and I really appreciated it. Stay just for one night so I think for a short stay considering the price it’s a good option!

The hotel is not new, so of course you can tell it from the rooms. Again, the hotel does good effort to maintain it so it’s all very clean but if you’re looking for a modern looking hotel, maybe that’s not it.
