Room all OK. Parking not great having to pay and not able to find a parking space not ideal. I counted up to 6 cars not able to park in parking bays.
From checking in to checkout the service was excellent. In particular Gemma on reception was very helpful. Very busy hotel with a lot of children staying. As long as you don’t mind noise in the restaurant area it’s an ideal hotel for staying over for one night.
The parking could be better, always difficult to park. I don’t think you should have to park when you are staying at hotel. The room was clean but could do with a refurb. Breakfast could have been better (no bacon available )
Parking at hotel was atrocious. Paid £7 to park car on a kerb in the car park as no spaces available. Will not book this hotel again due to the poor parking availability. Breakfast was nice albeit a bit chaotic as the food area is quite small.
We enjoyed a very warm and friendly welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We liked the simple but delicious, hot and quickly served dinner menu. Breakfast was self service so again quick and hot and very tasty which suited us as we were keen to eat and get on our way. On arriving home I realised that I had left some belongings in the room, after a quick call to the hotel these were posted to me within a couple of hours and at a very reasonable cost. we were a mum and teenage daughter travelling but I would say that the hotel has a great, slightly separate, dining area for families with young children which had toys, high chairs and a tv showing Peppa Pig. I really would highly recommend this hotel.
All ok
Good hotel to stay in prior to our cruise. Our room was quite small but we made it work. On site restaurant was very good, and breakfast included with our stay was pretty good. Over all would not hesitate to stay here again.
I
Hotel needs a refurb. Breakfast was awful. Tiny area of service for the number of people.
Bathroom needed a bit of an upgrade but clean
This was sub par for a typical holiday inn. I’ve stayed at many holiday inns through the works and this one I felt was below their normal standard.
Nothing of note
Easy stay. Quick check in. Food was ok. Free breakfast was better than most
Eileen On reception made our check a delight she is so friendly helpful and bubbly it was a pleasure. My only criticism of the property is that it is too warm we tried sleeping with the window open but the noise from the air conditioning units below was too much.
The rooms were very clean the service was the best I have ever had they went out of their way for everything. Rooms are small but all I really needed before our cruise. GREAT STAFF
Very good,staff nice
A good night’s sleep: quiet room, comfy bed and warm duvet plus excellent blackout curtains!
The rug in our room was in terrible condition. There are a lot stains and needs to be replaced.
Ideal for one night stay.
.
The property was ok. The area with the roads was noisy
Front desk helpful
The room was awful dark and dirty
Very tired hotel. Dark decor in Room- bad lighting Great staff
It was good
This hotel is over priced for the price. Rooms are small and dated. Our room wasn’t properly cleaned. One of the towel smells like perfume! Disgusting! We were so tired with the long flight and were only there overnight for the cruise the next day. I won’t recommend. One positive note, breakfast was good but too crowded. How do they check if those people are even staying in the hotel?
The hotel was very basic but clean, the food choice was terrible,There is parking but i feel that if you are staying at the hotel as a guest parking should be free and it isnt .If i were to stay there again i would book a twin room as the bed was very small for 2 people
Great location if you are sailing out of Southampton Decent restaurant Right on bus route Wonderful staff
Beds were very hard but room was lovely.
Great
Only stayed one night. Carpets were dirty. No in-room safe.
Quite a few stains on the carpet & the plug in the sink kept getting stuck. The burgers are pricey but very tasty & the shower is nice & powerful.
Everything as it should be.
Helpful and friendly staff clean good parking facilities
Property was OK for the price. It has seen better days. Renovations to exterior were underway at the time.
Nice clean friendly hotel.easy to find
excellent customer service
The property was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful...ie, booking taxi for us. The stay also included a very nice breakfast -hot and cold items.
All was good except wrong info given by reception re electric charging at nearby Hilton, they said you have to pay parking fee also, but did not, and they suggested Tesco, gave us sat nav for it, which was actually a small Tesco express without any chargers,we waisted an hour
All good. Bed a bit hard for me, but that's very subjective!
Very clean room. Person on reception when we checked in was fantastic very pleasant and helpy
Lovely smooth check in. Only thing was the restaurant menu was fairly limited but what we had for dinner was delicious. Great friendly staff all round.
Poor nights sleep as above electricity generator.Very busy and if you arrived late you would have struggled to park. Breakfast very average with limited selection. Restaurant food poor and expensive
Good hotel for the price. No complaints except long wait to check in.
The hotel needs an update . The room was not clean. The rugs had a musty smell. The bathroom towels looked dirty.
Nice
Staying here before going to the port. Wonderful receptionist said we would be better to organise our taxi once e had checked in and she did all that for us.
Check in and check out both easy and efficient, the room was large and clean , location was good near the utilita stadium and beefys Restaurant where food was great , plenty of space for parking and cheap at £7 for 24 hrs. Breakfast was busy but food was good and had a decent selection. Overall a great stay.
Fine for one night stay. Rooms in need of an upgrade. Furniture looking a bit bashed in places and the bathrooms are pretty outdated. Perfectly clean and functional. Just fine really. Breakfast was decent.
Room ready, great reception folks, very friendly, helpful. Room excellent, bread beyond excellent!. Food great …… cannot complain about anything!
The young lady that checked us in on Saturday morning was exceptional. She did everything she could to accommodate us. I don’t have her name. She was working again on Sunday and provided the same exceptional service.
Very good friendly helpful staff, will stay there in the future
There is no comment
Terrible restaurant and bar area, which would struggle to serve even as a half-decent works canteen. The awfulness of the stay was exacerbated by my being expected to pay for the privilege of parking my car in the hotel car-park.
Good service and friendly staff
D8nig area has holes/tears in carpet as big as 12in. X 12in and seam tears 18". Room was clean but in need of updating, as there were drilled hole showing in multiple places where previous fixtures used to be. Staff was efficient, but average on friendliness. Outside landscaping was not kept at all. Room was on the small side, but clean
Room very cold. Bed small not up to premier inn standard. Facilities minimal restaurant appalling.waste of money apart from onion rings wouldn’t stay again out of choice.
This hotel was a disaster from the very beginning. It just felt dirty in the bedrooms, the carpets were very stained. My wife used the restroom and immediately the roll of toilet paper fell off the wall and into a puddle of water that had accumulated around the toilet. I assume either the toilet or the shower was leaking. The toilet roll holder was at fault and it was impossible to securely reattach a roll of toilet paper to it. So we just had to improvise. On checking the bedding, it was stained in several places. Not necessarily stains that would wash out, permanent stains, but even so it didn’t Make us feel confident about the cleanliness of the hotel. By far the worst part of the hotel was the breakfast arrangements. I’ll admit, we were at the hotel at a very busy time and the restaurant just couldn’t cope with the number of visitors. It was almost impossible to find a free table but the bigger issue was the lack of staff. They were clearly stressed, I witnessed one of them being very short tempered with guests. The restaurant was also very dirty. However, on our last day, we thought breakfast ended at 10 AM. At 9:45 AM my wife was in line to get some fried eggs, and a female employee pushed in front of her and removed almost a full tin of eggs and took them into the kitchen. They were never replaced. We assumed maybe we were wrong and breakfast ended at 9: 30 a.m. but on checking, it just seemed the staff wanted to go home early. We will not be returning.
Restaurant has a reasonable range of food for dinner and a great breakfast. Room is a little tired but functional. Staff were happy to provide extra tea and milk Bed was large and comfy though we both struggled with the pillows. Aircon worked well and it was nice to be able to open a window. Plenty of parking though no longer free as we booked before the charge we were provided free parking.
I was a bit disappointed by the breakfast. The buffet area was too small and the only eggs were scrambled eggs
There is no comments, everything is great
Great area to stay and explore, hotel was busy
Lovely room very spacious and clean and comfortable
Not impressed with the new car park charge no need for it you pay enough for room drinks and food not cheap our room was looking dated and only had a normal double bed not king size but will still stay here again
A little bit annoyed as when we booked it was free parking they are now charging £7 for parking which I hadn’t been informed about the lady on reception said they started charging in April 😩
It felt a bit run down, didn't offer airport shuttle, it was ok for one night before a cruise
Requested extra pillows, but none available Breakfast good selection very busy though so glass and cutlery were running out
The chicken staff was amazing along with the breakfast. Staff was very helpful.
We went when it was really busy so we couldn’t get breakfast as the q was out the door to be seated. There was one member of staff who kept shouting and showing off all the time which was abit off putting but apart from that it was pleasant enough.
Nice bar, decent rooms, convenient for the cruise port.
Rooms were comfortable For the one night we were there. Evening food and breakfast was good.
The cricket ground opposite//
The hotel was very busy and service was a little slow because of this. Otherwise, our stay was good.
Car park not big enough went out for meal came back car park full
Solid hotel with the basics. Close to bus stop which connects you to the rest of Southampton. Hotel has no where to fill your own water bottle and no where to buy basics (e.g., toothpaste, snacks) besides the restaurant. Clean and spacious room.
Lack of porterage for aged people. Food below expectations.
Great stay. Very clean. Very happy with the stay. Would be even better if parking was free
Breakfast was good but a bit chaotic. One staff member got a bit upset when we asked if there were any more sausages, she was a bit frazzled under pressure. Room was good but shower left a big puddle in the bathroom
decent room pleasant staff, breakfast was a bit limited and not great quality is all
Good fairly inexpensive accommodation. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. Great service at front desk
It was clean, staff was very helpful and answered our questions as far as how to get around to London. They also kept our luggage at their office until we got a room. They also let us into our room ahead of scheduled which was nice after our disembarkation from a long cruise. Breakfast was really good as well. Highly recommended it!
Our stay was one night before embarking on our cruise ship. Location is good for cruise port, but not too many things in walking distance. Hotel staff is excellent!
It was so great to have air conditioning and the soundproofing in the rooms was excellent
Older hotel and different
Dated property. Pics on hotels.com no longer represent current reality. Room clean, but dated. Sofa stained. Bathroom tiles chipped. Desk chipped. Half power outlets didn't work. Claims there's a cafe for dinner, but it's really the bar menu. Convenient to get to cruise terminal.
Perfedt
The staff is EXCELLENT at the check-in, bar and the restaurant. Everyone is very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The only complaint is that the carpet in the room needs to be cleaned, other than that it was great.
Nice hotel convenient to get to cruise port . Clean friendly , bathroom sink slow draining . No big deal . Told staff when we left . Nice hot breakfast.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nice hotel for a 1 N stay. Many cruisers are using it. Nice staff. We got a handicapped room. The bed was very small, smaller than a queen size bed for 2. Otherwise it was fine.
Staff was excellent. Mirror location is inconvenient.
Lovely clean place to stay.
Very clean. Easy to find. Good breakfast.
Nice comfy bed and air conditioned room, had a great nights sleep. Staff were very friendly.
The bed is a double and its not very comfortable.
Expensive for what is offered in room. Needs a fridge places to put cases instead of just floor.
Only snag was noise from guests after 6am. Quieter closing doors would help. This applies to all hotels. Otherwise a very pleasant stay,no problems.
Poor aircon, no fridge in the room, no complimentary water Reception team were very polite and helpful
Excellent value for money including restaurant prices.
