Everything about the hotel was amazing

Breakfast was great. I should have chosen a softer pillow but the location was perfect.

The fridge took a little adjusting to stop it from making a noise and I did struggle a bit with the soap and shampoo dispensers to get them to work.

It is just a huge hotel, nothing special, used for big conferences, didn't feel like holiday at all, they have too many guests to fit in the dinner/ breakfast area. The location is great, two steps to the ocean with great views.

The property is beautiful and the staff was friendly

The construction work happening outside,which meant there was one lane being used for entry and exit with no one guiding the cars.

Wir können das wunderschöne Hotel in einer wirklich sicheren und sehr nahen Lage zum Meer uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Unser Zimmer war sehr gepflegt, modern und sauber mit einigen wertvollen Extras ( Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank und Spüle) und einem sehr geraumigen Bad ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen, wie auch der übrige Service. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and ushered to the check-in counter. We had only ordered rooms service for the entirety of our trip - the food, service and amount of time to be delivered was was exceptional. We were also blessed with a beautiful sunrise and could easily take a 2 min walk down to the promenade.

Very far walk from the escalators The renovations outside were horrendous. Parking was terrible and navigating through the traffic cones and wheelbarrows was hazardous. I understand this is temporary, but then i was still charges an additional R240 for parking!!! I could not even get to the underground parking.

The only thing I didn't like was the constant music in all the downstairs public areas.

The room was not ready on time we waited about an hour time for the room to be prepared,on the second day we went out for Activities we came back after 6+ hours but our room was not made up , the cleaners disturbed us while we were relaxing but they wanted to clean our room we had to go out to give them space to clean up our room

The shower was not very easy to use. The pressure and the shower head is not really comfort.

The property was under renovation like repaving and stuff which made going in and out a bit confusing and time consuming at times. Also we got there at 5:30pm and our room was not ready which was incredibly frustrating. The reception team leader was not as welcoming when we arrived there. Didn’t seem to care about the delay. We ended up getting the room at 18:45. Our flight was delayed and this delay was not great. Breakfast was good however they ran out of food items each day was something such as bacon, mushrooms, scones. Staff could be better. Requested tomato sauce from waiter and never heard back from him.

Great sized room with a sea view and scrumptious breakfast buffet. Easy access to the beach front for long walks on the promenade with stunning sunset photo opportunities. The hotel has an excellent pool area where you get to spend the entire day just relaxing and sipping on yummy cocktails enjoying the ocean view!

Nothing, the hotel maintains a serious level of customer service and any inconvenience or problem is resolved really quickly. Its great to be made to feel special from the time you arrive until you leave.

The room was great and the position is good.

I was disappointed with the breakfast space and the food - it was like a three star Holiday Inn with overly oily mass cooked food. The bar was also pretty souless for such a nice hotel. We have been before and loved the pool area and general vibe, but that was not there in the bar area which lacked sophistication and atmosphere.

The rooms need upgrading. I changed rooms thrice during my stay due to me wanting upgrades. The first room’s aircon didn’t work meaning that the temperature didn’t adjust. The second room- the one side of the bed’s light and charging station didn’t work. The aircon was also not adjustable. The third room- housekeeping needs to pay more attention as they took away some bathroom amenities but didn’t replace them. Example- I saved the shower cap from the check-in before, housekeeping came and took that shower cap, but didn’t give a new one. In general, for the 1 bedroom apartments, the shower heads are very small and don’t have much pressure (consider a rain shower head for the price being paid), and the temperature adjustment speed is VERY slow. It needs to be more reactive. I’ve stayed in 3 different 1-bedroom apartments now, and they all had the same issue with the shower temp. It takes more than 15 seconds for the temperature to adjust and even then, it’s to the extreme. I don’t have the time to wait and then find out the right balance after 30 seconds of waiting. The basin is also slow to drain, leaving water and toothpaste waste around for too long. The aircon in the lounge vs the bedroom is subpar. I expected the same tempo in the bedroom. Housekeeping was late to clean out rooms if they knew we weren’t checking out the next day which was frustrating. Salt, pepper, cutlery including tablespoons, and napkins should be a standard in these rooms the same as coffee and tea are.

I was unhappy with the room we received - as it was overlooking the noisy parking bay. Rafeeqa - Front Service Manager - went out of her way to make sure we were happy and changed the room with zero fuss. All the staff were friendly and are willing to help. I would stay again at the President.

The staff, above everything else that we really liked about this hotel, the staff were an 11/10, cannot fault a single thing, they were all amazing. The room was perfect size for a couple for a few nights stay, any more though and the small bathroom would likely become an issue. On site spa, we had massages on our last day before the long flight home, mine was excellent, my wife said that may have been the best shes ever had! Easy walking location lots of bars, restraunts and the beach. Breakfast selection was excellent. Free parking onsite!

The driveway and also one half of our floor(4) was under renovation. I think you should be made aware of this before being put on a floor with contractors from outside the hotel staff being around all the time. There was no noise heard from our room but 100% rooms closer to that end of the hallway would be hearing everything. Just a note so you know my view, nothing bad happened and did not cause issues with our stay, but being made aware is important in my opinion. Im going to mention the next few items for the hotel to hopefully take on board as to keep a slightly better attention to detail. These are all small things, but added together they did pester me. Soap/cream left on the inside door handle of the shower by previous guests, this was also not picked up at our mid stay clean. Lightbulb in kitchenette was not working, on inspection the bulb was half out, I fixed this. Of the 6 or so lights in the room, half were bright white and half soft white and the middle one above the bed was out. I assume the curtains were fairly new and they had been measured or cut wrong, the blackout curtains did not reach the middle and the lights from the building across perfectly point at your face when in bed, we managed to mcgivor them closed but they need to be attended to for future bookings. The front door doesnt close when released as it should, the tensioner needs adjusting. These are mostly just maintenance items and not the end of the world, but as mentioned, lots of little things can become one big thing. ***We would 100% stay here again***

Everything the rooms ooooh the bedding because nothing excites me more than clean and smelling fresh of linen. The breakfast mmmmh scrumptious. Hotel stuff deserves a bug thank you. Even in the morning when checking out we didn't order breakfast but the guy in the reception offered something and that help a lot since we were travelling with the kids and the bonus they helped my husband to pack our bags aibooo definitely we will visit again.

My 1st room had shower over a bath. Was not comfortable as I found it very hard to get into. Aged 80 makes things more difficult

The view and size of room were great. The location near the ocean was superb and the staff were so friendly.

Their receptionists and concierge were very friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were approachable and pleasant, and their attitude was noticeably better than what was experienced with room service and the breakfast team. However, unfortunately, good service at reception and concierge cannot compensate for poor service throughout the rest of the stay. Housekeeping and restaurant service fell significantly below expectations.

The room service and housekeeping experience was extremely disappointing. Basic necessities were repeatedly missing, like drinking water and towels! The room cleaning was also done very poorly. It felt rushed and lacked attention to detail. For the price and standard one would expect from the hotel, the level of housekeeping was simply unacceptable. The breakfast service was perhaps the most frustrating part of the stay. The service team appeared completely disinterested and unresponsive. I am confused if this was racism as i will be more annoyed!! You ask a staff member for something, and instead of attending to the request, they simply walk away and stand somewhere on the side as though you never ask. You then have to ask 2nd staff and even the third time — with the same lack of response. Frustrating exercise of repeatedly trying to get someone's attention for even simple requests. Even when staff are clearly aware that a guest is waiting, there seems to be very little urgency or willingness to assist. Booking.com should not recommend the hotel at all.

We only stayed for a night, but everything was incredible. The staff were amazing. It was such a seamless check-in/out process with the pre-check in forms and the food was incredible.

The staff in this Hotel is simply the best. Their warmth and consideration is felt with every interaction. A true holiday destination in every considerable way.

My husband was kicked out of breakfast for wearing a onesie. The toilet backed up just before breakfast and was flooding the floor, my husband used his clothes to stop the shitty water. And then we were kicked out of breakfast. No apology was officially made and we both felt highly disturbed by the whole situation.

First class treatment. A Lovely view from the hotel room, overlooking the sea and the pool. We were celebrating our Golden Wedding and were greeted with a bottle of champagne in our room. The room was impressive with separate bedroom. Quality food and varied extensive choice for breakfast. Room Service was spot on.

Security couldn't find our booking, and it took a long time to get into the parking area After finally letting us in, we were told parking was full, then had to wait further in the emergency assembly bay with other cars The hotel was extremely full on the first day due to an in-house group, which made breakfast noisy with long waits for a table We weren't told at check-in that the hotel was full, so we couldn't plan to arrive earlier for breakfast The water in our room was cold on day 1. After calling reception, maintenance made a minor adjustment, but the water was still too cold for showers or baths for the kids When I raised the water issue a second time, staff responded dismissively instead of taking the concern seriously The white wine by the glass was served too warm

The entire experience itself was amazing! The rooms are high quality, plus the view of the ocean from the higher floors is absolutely stunning, the room service is great (especially when they clean the rooms) and the food is wonderful! The people here are very kind and welcoming, and they made the experience way better for me and my family. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly too! Usually checking into a new hotel in a new place makes me feel out of place, but thta definitely waa not the case here! Be mindful that it can get a bit noisy ouyside the rooms. Although a bit pricey, I would love to come back here again for vacation!

I forbindelse med en tur, hvor vi blev hentet tidligt, fik vi af receptionen oplyst at vi kunne får tidlig morgenmad som roomservice. Dette bestilte vi til kl. 6.30, men den kom først kl. 6.55 efter vi havde rykket for den to gange. Vi synes at musikken i restaurantionsområdet er lidt for høj.

The President Hotel in Bantry bay is simply fantastic. The hotel is stunning and in a superb position with lovely views of the sea. The staff are exceptional, so friendly and helpful. We never saw anything but brilliant smiles. The room was so comfortable and had a stunning view. I would recommend again and again. Great value too.

stay away from this hotel ....they kiddnap us 1500$ from the room locker ...they had keys once you leave they open it and steal your money all the employee working with gangster they may kiddnap you or your children its not safe at all cause i'm arab the manager did not care and said we can not do any thing i went to the police but nothing was done they kiddnap us you are not safe in this place they are working with the gangester in south africa to kiddnap tourist they make good price for the hotel to attract you to come and stealing you

We had a great stay here. The staff were great, particular shout out to Thembela in the restaurant who we all loved speaking too (she was amazing with our daughter). The room was clean and well presented. The pool area always inviting and they have good activities for kids on at set times. Would definitely stay again.

Spent my honeymoon at this lovely hotel and everything was perfect. From the food, to subtle music playing around the pool area, to the friendly staff. I could not recommend it anymore. I believe the hotel staff could tell we were truthfully on honeymoon and upgraded us to a room with a stunning sea view, which my wife and I were really grateful for, which also had a note of congratulations accompanied by snacks. Rooms were tidy and clean as well, so were the dining areas and restaurants.

Staff very attentive and friendly. Always willing to assist with anything. Location great and safe.

Consider having your own guided hikes/walks, if possible complimentary or at a reasonable fee. I was quoted R4200 for one person for a guided walk by one of the service providers, that is ridiculous.

We had a wonderful few days here. Great location near the sea, shops and restaurants. Lovely bar and recreational areas. We were helped immensely by Asanda and Morgan. Definitely stay here again 👍
