Motel 6 Sault Ste. Marie, ON

The room was big and the bed was comfortable.

Somewhat outdated and could be cleaner

Propre accueil parfait

Manque de serviette

Location

Price, value, cleanliness, services.

Room was clean and large...served the purpose for a good night's sleep as we were passing through

It was clean

There was no comfortable chair to sit in

Nothing

Everything! It was probably the nastiest hotel I’ve ever come across. The smell walking into the lobby. The floors and carpet have not been cleaned in ages. There were some weird bugs in the room.

All good

All good

Would have been nice to have coffee available in our room

Easy location to find. Needed a night stop over and a good sleep. Mission accomplished.

Room needed to be better cleaned.

Convenient location. Friendly front desk staff

Black mould on curtains and pillows didn't seem freshly cleaned.

Location. Price.

The smell in room and hallways. Like overpowering cooking smells. Floors in room were not clean. We spilled some water and wiped it up and the towel was filthy from the dirt on the floor.

Tout était très bien . Propre , tranquille, de bon services

Pour améliorer, il devrait y avoir un petit déjeuner continental de servi . Genre , muffins , donuts , bagels , toasts , café .

I love the cleanliness, the location and the beds are always comfortable!

The only thing I didn’t like was we had a room on the main floor with the door leading outside and the key didn’t work for the outside door so we had to walk around to inside in order to get into our room.

Sehr bemühter Rezeptionist, Parkplatz ausreichend

Das Haus wurde offenbar kürzlich neu übernommen. Unklare Zielgruppe, leere Konferenzräumlichkeiten, extrem spartanische Einrichtung.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Clean and good value for the cost

Location. Ground floor room.

Bathtub was very slippery. Tea and coffee only available in morning.

The staff are nice and helpful, best location shops are close by.

A big of improvement on facilities.

Good location.

Orange mold in shower and the sliding door would not stay closed

The best part of this one night stay was the room. The motel location is good for people travelling through SSM.

Outside and inside common areas (e.g. carpets) were rough.

Location

Room was not clean. Beds were not clean.

Person at desk was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean.

Key cards didn't work very well.

Not much

Dirty. The towels were disgusting. Just felt dirty. No microwave. Cannot see how this got a 8 star rating

Very clean

All good.

There were few ants in the room. Otherwise everything was good

Absolutely filthy dirty!!! Looks like it has never been vacuumed. Rugs all dirty and stained. Old dirty towels. Mirrors were filthy, tub was dirty. No hot water out of sink. Snot smeared on walls and dried. This was absolutely a horrible stay. I had read the reviews and it sounded good. I would never recommend this hotel. I spoke with the manager and he said it was a housekeeping issue to a singular room. I then asked if that was the case why is every window and carpet so dirty . I told him I felt like I needed to shower after leaving. They require a 100$ deposit to make sure room is not damaged on departure, I said they should pay the customer 100$ to stay. We shall see if this review is posted!!!

Filthy

The staff are very helpful and courteous.

The facility can be improve.

Friendly welcome with pertinent information. Given the choice of room.

Zimmer okay.

Für 1 Nacht im 2. Geschoss untergebracht. Steile Treppe, erst nach wiederholter Aufforderung wurde ein schwerer Koffer nach oben gebracht. Die Treppe völlig ungereinigt. Gang schlecht gereinigt Dusche würde Generalreinigung brauchen. Silikon schimmelig. Vorhänge gehören gewaschen.

We ended up not staying there as it was kind of a sketchy neighborhood and didn’t look very clean on the outside.

Location

Could use some updating.

The location worked best for us. Safe and close to highway.

Very clean and nice place for the price. Would highly recommend it to anyone going through town

Nothing

Close to highway, simple and clea

Noisy pipe and no sound proof

The entrance was clean and the parking lot was ok. The staff were friendly. The price was exceptional. The rooms were clean and basic.

It always looks like they have not vacuumed the carpets on the main stairs and hallways, for months. Literally they do not vacuum them. The room floors are clean but the hallways are gross.

Cheap, safe, rooms are clean and basic.

Filthy carpets in the halls and stairs. Literally no vacuuming done for months probably! The rooms however are clean as is the entrance.

Es war gut zu finden

Zimmer nicht sauber, Haare in Dusche, auf Nachtschrank. Laminat sehr schlecht verlegt mit großen Lücken im Boden. Alles unterstes Niveau und sehr heruntergekommen!

Location

It was alright

beds were comfy

Was awaken by dog upstairs walking around during night

Convenience

The state of the linens had me wonder if they used freshly washed, or just made the bed after the last guest.

The location was great. The bed was super comfortable. Room was clean.

Grounds were a little rough. Inside lobby was a little dirty and could use an update.

It was cheap and had at least a very small somewhat working fridge. The bed was comfortable.

The staff was unprofessional, unhelpful, and utilized unsafe practices. They refused to provide adequate documentation for payments taken or deposit policies as required by law. The staff also announced my room number loud enough for everyone in the lobby to hear and couldn't/wouldn't change it when confronted about the safety risk. The manager wasn't much more help, though they did finally give me more documentation such as an invoice for the actual cost of my stay, but still ZERO information about their deposit policy. I can only hope that they are actually going to give me back my deposit, which they make up amounts for on the fly depending on if they like the look of you. The facilities description says that they are disability accessible, the room I booked even said it was disability accessible, but it was NOT accessible in any way other than via rickety stairs with uneven heights. There wasn't even a coffee machine or access to a water fountain or ice cubes or anything in the room.

Location and room access

No furniture or coffee maker in the room.

Breakfast would be nice

Rooms were clean, bedding was clean.

No coffee or tea in the room, no microwave.

Clean & pet friendly, good price.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, inside was a pleasant surprise, very comfortable bed 😊

Breakfast was not included.

The room has the pet smell, apparently, it was not cleaned or deordorized.

All of it. Great pkCe so cleesm reception so nice

Nothing

We just needed one night as we were headed up to Wawa. My experience was good. It ticked all boxes for me.

Rooms are very clean, and the beds are super comfortable. I had the best sleep ever.

The old-fashioned motel style made it easy to bring my luggage in and out through the door that led right to the parking lot. While the property as a whole was older, the bathroom mirror, curved shower curtain rod, and bedding were clearly newer and nicer than I expected.

I couldn't tell from the website if the room had a mini fridge (yes), microwave (no), or coffee maker (no). That information would have affected what I brought with me.

Location.

Very clean, comfortable bed. Manager extremely helpful. Very relaxing atmosphere !!

Great location and lots of stores for shopping.

I think the room should have a microwave and a coffee machine. And more chairs .

We liked the location and restaurant and giant TIGER.

The rooms need a microwave and coffee machine.

Clean. Updated rooms.

Very noisy. Doors slam morning and night

Great location beside a decent restaurant.

Could not get a room on 1st floor even though it appeared several were available.

The price is right. Good location near to restaurants and grocery stores

There was an incident with neighbour guests moving from one room to another with a lot of loud door closing. Problem solved by one of us asking them to keep it down.

Staff was amazing. I had left my AirPods behind and the gentleman in the front was kind enough to call me when he found out. I really appreciate it.

Location, clean accept for the over flow hole in the sink room 201:(. Pet friendly!! Good value.

Very loud heater, that made it difficult to get to sleep. The over flow hole was gross:(

Clean room. Friendly staff. Easy access to parking lot for loading car.

Location

Everything is fine

I have a very good impression of this property. The price is very competitive and the location is perfect for travel from Toronto to Winnipeg.

I have no complaints.

The front staff was very friendly and helpful when I arrived. The room was clean, and the beds were super comfortable, I wanted to take the bed home with me.

Room was soacious and clean. Price was right too. Friendly front desk worker too!

All was good! No complaints.

Easy access. Near high way. Free parking

No microwave in room
