Absolutely fantastic stay! We had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. The location is perfect, right by the Tyne Bridge with incredible views across the River Tyne and Newcastle. The hotel was spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming, but the staff really made the stay special. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional and genuinely helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The views are absolutely beautiful, especially in the evening when Newcastle and the bridges are lit up. It’s also ideally located for walking into the city and enjoying everything Newcastle has to offer. We couldn't fault our stay and would definitely return. Amazing location, beautiful views, brilliant staff and excellent service — highly recommended!

I was told when checking out that it was the wrong room. They had my booking as in my late husband’s name who died 8 years ago! Why ? I booked and paid on my booking.com account. The invoice was also in his name. He never boa hotel stay in our entire marriage!

The air conditioning made a bit of a noise at night - which made it difficult to get to sleep for me, partner ok. Room did not have a fridge - cooler bag came handy.

We only stayed 2 nights but on the 2nd day the towels were changed by the housekeeping staff. There was no need to do this. It’s not great for the environment. Towels should not be changed so often.

Ruime kamer met geweldig uitzicht. Fijn hotel. Goede douche (je oet wel in bad stappen wat voor sommigen een probleem kan zijn). Goede stalling voor de fietsen.

De airco in onze kamer werkte niet goed. Temperatuur kon niet kouder dan 23 graden en dat was veel te warm om in te slapen. Uiteindelijk kregen wij een andere kamer aangeboden.

Die laute Klimaanlage auf dem Zimmer, keine zu öffnenden Fenster, keine Gurken oder Tomaten beim Frühstück, wer zuckerarm essen möchte, hat es auch nicht leicht. Schwimmen musste als Slot gebucht werden, das Becken scheint auf den Bildern größer als in Wirklichkeit.

The hotel lobby and facilities are all decorated beautifully. There were lots of friendly, hardworking staff.

1: I ordered room service at 20:50, I fancied a glass of red with a cheeseboard, and the girls wanted deserts, we called them at 21:30 to ask how long this would be, and were told it wouldn’t be long. We called again at 22:00 to ask how long it would be, and we were told the chef was preparing it. At 22:10 the order arrived,minus the glass of red wine. The concierge stated he would go and get the wine and card machine. He came back at 22:20 with only the card machine, and a receipt for £50. I told him this was wrong, and that I hadn’t had the wine, and I didn’t want it at this time( good job) so please could he take the charge off and just add the rest to my room. We tried to go to sleep, and concierge were incessantly knocking on the door at 22.45, I answered, and he just wanted me to pay my bill. This is not the service I expect at a 4 star hotel. I suspect you are understaffed for a hotel of that size. 2: My girls forget their toothbrushes and concierge couldn’t supply any- We were told to walk to Tescos ( fair enough, but usually this is something a hotel can provide for convenience) 3: One of the guys in the gym was very rude and abrupt. 4: The bar was understaffed. I felt very sorry for the girl on her own, as she had orders piling up, and looked flustered. I waited 20 minutes for a Paloma Spritz. 5: I couldn’t charge anything to my room- I’ve never experienced this before.

Gedateerd hotel, moet op heel veel punten nog verbeterd worden om aan huidige standaarden te kunnen voldoen. Douchen met een douchegordijn in een bad is absoluut belachelijk. Materialen in badkamer verouderd en soms beschadigd. Zwemmen met een tijdslot is niet klantvriendelijk. Ontbijtruimte erg verouderd en rommelig, niet schoon, plakkerige tafel. Dit hotel is absoluut geen visitekaartje voor de Hilton-keten.

Air-conditioning unit from 1930s. Broken. Loud. Stuck on heating at 22.5 degrees. Night staff unhelpful when problem escalated to them. Offered my car parking fee back as a "gesture of goodwill". My car slept fine, it was me that didn't!

Staff was rude. Cutlery inside the room was dirty, sink was blocked and on top of that they didnt allow my guests for breakfast because they were wearing pajamas

Despite room being ready early, there was a £20 charge if I wanted to use it. We were given a Accessible room and found to Assist Call system hadn’t been cancelled and when we noticed the flashing light at bed time (11.30pm) they sent a member of staff came up got my wife out of bed, then pulled the bed out to access the fob but then decided to cancel it on the main control panel instead!!!

Everything was great. We were a family group of 11, which included 5 children. The staff were helpful and accommodating which was appreciated.

Every aspect was delivered to a very high standard: every member of staff was friendly and attentive; all areas were clean; the public areas were comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfy. Location was very handy for Newcastle.

Tiny things - lots of hanging space for shirts and trousers not so much draw space for socks and pants. Air con was a little complicated to use. Car park was very handy but layout took a little getting used to.

Everything super hotel staff are amazing and rooms as i would expect from a Hilton top notch,also perfectly situated in the city.

Klein minpunt was de kamertemperatuur in de nacht. We sliepen in de zomer met 3 personen op 1 kamer. Om te kunnen slapen deden we de airco uit (ivm geluid daarvan) maar dan werd de kamer erg warm. Er kon ook geen raam open en dat gaf wel een beetje bedompt effect. Maar de rest was heel fijn dus ik zou hier niet voor wegblijven en hier zul je in herfst/winter waarschijnlijk minder last van hebben.

Great location for a meeting I was attending the next day, lovely large, clean, modern room.

Present road works make locating this hotel rather difficult and, when you arrive, locating the car park takes the difficulty to a new level. Any chance of car park signage.? Once inside however its all change. Large rooms which appear to have been remodelled and a breakfast that is truly excellent. The lady breakfast restaurant supervisor is a gem. Happy to highly recommend this property and to return.

I was,very disappointed with the room it was far too small for 4 people, a small table 1 chair no drawers for your clothes therefor the room was very cluttered and clostroohobic resulting in us leaving a day early
