I liked everything. Kettle so close to bed so didn't need to go far. Just used bottle water that was in room. Shower was great. Bedding was clean.

Maybe needs a touch of pain in the bathroom door and skirting but all good bar that. The noise was a bit loud from party goers and cars etc. which is just me not being used to it in the countryside so it's not hotels fault.

cleanliness was great, finally received 2 towels unlike other hotels.

there was only 2 house slippers and 1 set of toothbrush provided when there was 3 guests checked in. the receptionists also weren't really friendly when we requested for more slippers or for housekeeping (after 12pm).

We requested a quiet room which was great as the hotel is so central I imagine being at the front would have been noisy

I paid for an upgraded room and ended up in an accessibility room. The room was no where near what I was promised for an upgrade. In fact it seemed to me like a paid for a downgraded room instead. Emailed the hotel and got no response. Bed sheets had stains on them and rips room still had rubbish in it and hadn’t been cleaned.

Toaster did not work well. burnt one side or didnt toast the other. Orange juice was not juice.

This is our go to Hotel when in Newcastle. It’s central to where we socialise in the city.

We were able to check in early which was very much appreciated. We were also able to add breakfast on at checkin with no issues. The receptionists were very helpful and informative. We got extra tea/milk dir room with no issues. The bed was comfortable like sleeping on a cloud after a long day of sightseeing.

This hotel is amazing me and my husband come alot the staff are so freindly and its a gorgeous hotel with lovely food and drinks also. It was my husbands belated birthday treat and the staff made our room up and decorated it with balloons, a note on the mirror cake chocolates and also 2 free drinks they cant do enough for you! Xx

Hotel ligt erg gunstig, in het centrum, op loopafstand van het centraal station.

Wij kwamen eind van de ochtend aan en konden onze bagage niet achterlaten bij de receptie omdat de ruimte voor bagage helemaal vol was.

Our stay at Maldron Hotel Newcastle was extremely frustrating and uncomfortable, with basic standards completely overlooked: Inappropriate Room Allocation & Zero Flexibility: We were assigned an accessible room without requesting one. While these facilities are vital for guests who need them, they are impractical for able-bodied guests—the sink and mirror are positioned far too low for normal use. When we went to reception to request a room change, we were bluntly told that no other rooms were available, with zero effort to accommodate us or offer any alternative solution. Hygiene & Cleanliness: Housekeeping was well below acceptable standards. The bedroom carpet was filthy to the point where walking barefoot left visible dirt on our feet. Worse, the drinking glasses provided in the room were unwashed and dirty. Bathroom Maintenance: The shower had an active leak and very weak water pressure, making it deeply inconvenient to use. Damaged Bedding: The duvet had a noticeable tear along the side, which shows a serious lack of quality control. Between the substandard room condition, poor hygiene, and lack of customer care when addressing our concerns, this was a very poor experience. We definitely will not be returning.

Excellent communication wth the staff, particularly Victoria, who always welcomed us at reception with a smile and was proactive as soon as we arrived with suggesting local activity we might enjoy - and did! I particularly recommend Victoria's suggestion of Jesmond Dene - a nature reserve with woods, waterfalls, a farm open to the public and play areas.

unfortunately there were noises from pipes in bathroom during night and from outside we were at rear of building don't know if was deliveries or bins but was noisy at times including early hours with view of a roof which can't be helped hard luck.

The hotel is all really clean and tidy. The breakfast selection is also really good apart from no pancakes.

We arrived around half an hour before the scheduled check-in time due to our travel arrangements. As there were already several people checking in, we decided to ask whether our room happened to be ready, rather than storing our bags and having to return later. We were told that no double rooms were currently available for check-in, which was slightly surprising given that the official check-in time was less than 30 minutes away. We were instead offered an accessible room, which we accepted as we had plans within the hour. The room itself was perfectly fine, but it did seem unusual that the double rooms were not yet ready so close to the advertised check-in time. I would also hope that by accepting the accessible room, we did not prevent someone who genuinely required those facilities from being accommodated. Overall, this was a minor issue, but it was something we found a little surprising.

Very very noisy outside the hotel needs some soundproofing, we had to buy earplugs. Bed was a bit too soft and the pillows were awful.

Hôtel toujours aussi propre, je suis déjà venu en avril et c est toujours un plaisir de revenir, je recommande fortement cette Hôtel qui reste très bien situé en ville, très très bon petit déjeuner ainsi que les repas au restaurant, un délice. A bientôt j espère

Rien, dommage par contre que le personnel ne parle pas le français, , j aurais bien voulu plus communiquer avec lui car il semblait très sympathique et professionnel, mais bon ce n'est qu'un détail.

I booked breakfast on the door card, and it was suppose be taken before 0200am, I woke about 5am and checked it had not been taken, I phone reception and she said she will collect it. The receptionist went beyond and above her duty, Thank you.

Breakfast was hot and tasty, the sausages were amazing! The breakfast hall and facilities were in a clean state. The beds were very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The room was spacious.Good lighting. The bathroom looked very modern and clean.

We've stayed at Maldron a lot in the past, it's in a good location and a quick walk from the train station.

It's probably the worst night's sleep l've had in a long time, the double mattress in room 102 needs to go In the skip, it's long past it's best. The breakfast is usually a big plus, on this occasion l feel it was let down by the sausages which were undercooked

Location is ideal for shopping, restaurants, bars and travel either by bus or train

Only problem was only one coffee machine queue was long , and no beans out when I was getting my full English breakfast, other than that very happy with our stay

The mould in the shower, the small rooms, the Aircon that turns itself off in the early hours, the TV's. It was all just tired and in need of a refurb.

The hotel is really nice and modern. You can check in online. The room was clean with neutral decor, the bed very comfortable and I liked the big shelf in the bathroom for all my cosmetics. We had lovely, tasty breakfast and good coffee.

There is no hotel parking, so you have to find somewhere to park. It wasn't a problem for us but it could be inconvenient for someone else.

There wasn’t anything I disliked

Location is superb, within a minutes walk from Grainger market. We were kept informed pre arrival and given chance to either check in online or at reception on arrival. Chose to check in online and staff at reception were friendly and helpful,. Was informed about 40 minutes before our planned arrival time that our room was ready. Beautiful, clean reception, foyer, lifts, corridors and room. Superb room with an inner view, not the atrium but nevertheless there was nothing to give any noise and disturb our great nights sleep in a super bed with super mattress and crisp, clean sheets. The bathroom was lovely with tiled floors and walls, a walk in shower with rainfall head and a detachable shower head, body wash, shampoo in the shower and hand wash at the sink and a full wall mirror. As mentioned we had a totally undisturbed nights sleep and that was with the window open. There is air conditioning in the room but I don't like air conditioning so it wasn't used and in fact, it wasn't needed. Superb stay and we will return.

Being really picky there was a slight stain on the carpet near the bed and the long flush on the toilet sometimes needed an extra stab as it seemed to stick slightly and allow the flush to slowly continue but, once you've done it you just hang about for 5 seconds and see if it needs doing and in this crazy country in a world which is speeding to it's own destruction I'm sure everyone and anyone can spare 5 seconds and if you can't you need to take a long, hard look at yourself.

The room was big and clean. Staff are nice and helpful. The location is very good. The pantry on the first floor better provides cups and glasses. Anyway, it is very generous to provide some hot drinks for customers.

It‘ location is great: in the heart of Newcastle, close to the metro and the main train station and the Gateshead stadium. The staff are friendly and helpful. They serve a mediocre breakfast, but it does it‘s job. The rooms are spacious and clean.

As it is in the heart of everything, there are many guests who have had a nights out with plenty of booze and fun. This can get a bit unnerving. But the staff make sure, that everything stays safe

Bar area in the evening struggled. Both nights dirty glasses piled up on bar and bar staff extremely flustered and as a result a bit rude.
