Convenient location for my purposes, good ample room, public transportation very close. Second time I’ve stayed here.

Servizio in camera molto ristretto sia come orari che come scelta. Se non metti il vassoio di ciò che hai consumato nell’ andito non lo ritirano. Un giorno sono uscito tardi e nonostante abbia chiesto di rifare la stanza non l’hanno rifatta. Il primo giorno non risultava avessi la colazione compresa. Se si arriva al termine dell orario una filippina ti stollerizza continuamente che il tempo sta terminando. Veramente spiacevole.

My experience at reception was mixed. There were three receptionists on duty. The two closest to us didn't acknowledge us at all as they were busy on their computers/phones. The third receptionist eventually attended to us. I had accepted a paid upgrade offer sent to my email weeks before arrival, but at check-in they acted as if I had upgraded myself on my own and spent several minutes going back and forth double-checking. At dinner, we arrived at the restaurant and the waiter passed us at the door without a hello or welcome. We found a table ourselves and sat for 20 minutes with no one approaching us. I had to go to the bar to ask for service. The same waiter who had ignored us at the door then came to take our order and the first thing he said was "we're closing in 45 minutes." It felt like we were intentionally left sitting there because it was close to closing time so they would not have to serve us. In the morning we went for breakfast (we had chosen to pay on site). The lady at reception was very nice. However, when we got to the restaurant, all the tables were occupied and the unoccupied ones were dirty. There was a clean section that was barricaded. We went back to reception to inform her and she said it was okay to go past the barricade and use the clean side. A lady with two kids went before us and sat down, we followed. Before we could even sit, a staff member came shouting from the other end of the cafe "don't sit there." I explained politely that we were directed by reception since there was no clean table available, but the approach was very rude. The room itself was nice and comfortable, but we stayed for a couple of days and despite requesting it, our bedding was never changed and our toiletries were never refilled.

I really loved the location being extremely close to the Elizabeth Line, which I desperately needed a lot on this trip. I really enjoyed the sweet attitude of most of the staff, the cleanliness of the staff/cleaners, I do feel it was really lovely overall. The breakfast was valued beautifully, not to mention the staff serving the breakfast, especially Audrie (I believe?) was really polite and kind.

I did attempt to call for room service and even considered ordering it, but nobody answered the phone despite a 24H being available on, I tried calling multiple different ways and ultimately just kind of gave up. I suppose if I could say anything, more relaxation would be lovely, I understand the sauna is there but something like a massage parlour if you'd ever be able to implement one would be amazing here. I hope the staff who checked us in is doing okay, he seemed very exhausted.

Exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff, the room was modern, clean, and good to be able to use air conditioning for the warmer nights. The queen size bed was very comfortable. The outside area was lovely to sit and enjoy the view by the docklands.

The only faults we could find was first the sofa bed was uncomfortable, a very thin mattress, not suitable for an adult. Milk and sugar for the tea weren’t stocked properly after housekeeping but you can ask at reception for extra, however it is a bit of a nuisance to go down if you are staying on a high level as we were.

The air conditioner cannot go lower than 18 degrees and the bath room drain not draining water properly for my room

Pulitissimo, camera stupenda, grande e moderna, 10-15 minuti di taxi per arrivare all’o2 arena (nemmeno così costoso), staff molto cordiale. Zona bellissima e tranquilla con fermata della metro Custome House a 2 minuti a piedi. L’hotel non è centrale ma è perfetto in occasione di concerti all’o2, nonostante cool con i mezzi è stato facile raggiungere tutti i luoghi iconici di Londra.

The bar area was very nice and the outside terrace. The rooms were very quiet.

The ensuite and toilet were separate, the toilet was very small, and had no wash basin, meaning you had to use the ensuite to wash your hands, not ideal in the middle of the night! It was a very strange layout. It was expensive for the size of the room.

The so called wheelchair accessible room is not accessible. The door to the room is so heavy I could barely open it. the bathroom door opens inward so can barely get in. And it has a bath not a shower - which I couldn't use. This room is not compliant and I was charged a lot of money to stay there.

The staff on the bar were lovely - Joseph was out waiter. Very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for the 02 Arena.

We had issues checking in, didn't get our upgrade as requested, the room was dirty. Oh and the bathroom door is see through!!!!

We have stayed in this hotel before because of its location to the O2 and also availability of parking. It also has a nice outlook from the restaurant over the dockland.

We had booked a room for two adults and our 11 year old granddaughter. The first room we were given had a small unmade sofa which would have been totally unsuitable for her. Luckily we were given another room straight away but given that this was a room for three people, it would have been nice to have 3 glasses, cups and tins of water instead of 2 of each. Also there is no clear instructions on how to reach the reception - surely 1 laminated sheet of instructions about the hotel and restaurant times would be useful.

Hotel is ideally located within 5 minutes walk of Elizabeth line and DLR. Reception very friendly and provided a free drink token at the hotel bar which i enjoyed and the outside balcony. Room was very clean and very comfy. Shower was superb.

Check in supposed to be 3pm, we weren’t allowed in the room until nearly 4pm. We had reservations at 4.30 so we had to get ready in lobby, no one apologised to us for waiting we had to get ready in the lobby and when I went up at 3.45 we were told our room had BEEN ready then the lady in reception told us we should have approached them sooner but we had asked 4 times and the men on reception told us to wait and THEY would get us, we obviously had no faith that would happen as we did go up again at 3.45 and they proved why we shouldn’t have waited for them. For context we showed up at 1 o’clock. We knew this would be too soon but they checked us as arrived and took my details and they wrote we would be in room 731. We had lunch and drinks then at 2:45 which was 15 minutes before check-in we went there to ask if room was ready. It was not. Went up at 3, not ready. 3.10, 20, 3.30 (when they said just wait for us to tell you) and then again at about 3.45. In this time we saw multiple people being checked in and also multiple people being told their rooms were not ready. We witnessed someone arrive inquire about getting a room and they were given a room and sent to it right away. 3.45 we were told the room had been ready but then the room number was changed to room 727. No apology for the mix up, the wait, for having to get ready in the lobby.

Perfect location to reach easily Heathrow airport and the city center.

The room service was unexpectedly late (5 p.m.) and we needed to wait until the service lady got ready with cleaning. It was a bit disturbing as we needed to prepare for the evening event.

i loved the music that was played, the balcony area was beautiful and there was a wide arrangement of food at the breakfast buffet.

For only £150 a night for 2 people in a popular area in London it was such a beautiful place! Clean, amazing staff, beautiful view of the excel, comfiest beds we've had at any hotel and the bathroom was stunning! And the size of the room was incredible!

Breakfast was average typical English breakfast.

Found a tub of polyfiller in shower and plug in sink didn’t function properly even after maintenance had fixed it.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the Royal Docks, close to ExCeL London and within easy walking distance of Custom House station for both the DLR and the Elizabeth line, making travel into central London very convenient. The cable car across the Thames is also nearby, and there are several restaurants, a Tesco Express and a small independent convenience store within walking distance. My room was comfortable and perfectly adequate for my stay, with a particularly clean bathroom. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional throughout. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable hotel, particularly if visiting ExCeL or exploring East London, with excellent public transport connections. Custom House station provides direct Elizabeth line access towards central London and Heathrow, while Royal Victoria DLR is also nearby. The IFS Cloud Cable Car terminal is about a five-minute walk from ExCeL.

The only downside was occasional noise outside the hotel at night. There is public seating and benches around the ExCeL area, and sometimes people gather there and can be quite noisy late in the evening. This seems more of an issue with the surrounding public area and ExCeL security rather than the hotel itself, so there is probably little the hotel can do about it. If your room doesn't face the exhibition centre, you may be better off.

Nice food, friendly restaurant staff.

I left my african sponge of over 28 years and when i realised it the very next day and called and went back to pick it they had thrown it away. They literally could not find it. To date they never bothered to call me or reach out or respond to my queries and apologise despite my queries and follow up. This is terrible. I felt very disrespected when that happened.

Locations is great. Room size is OK. Breakfast is acceptable for 4 star hotel.

Toilet and bath are not in the same room. Furniture still not bad but some years away from new.

Room was super clean and location ok (a bit far from the touristic center, but known in advance). Breakfast was great too. The only surprise was about some work happening in the Victoria train line, which made us to go around using another options (10-15min additional).

Only location is a bit far from the tourist attractions but known at the point of the reservation. Other than this, everything else was really great!

Offered Upgrade to suite (at a cost) which was clean and very spacious. Restaurant food was good and service was quick.

The hotel is a lovely modern one. We had great time there. The room and hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was nice and good sized. The staff we met were all super kind and of great help especially Dawood who helped us check in very smoothly. The was location is pretty good with amazing views. Although its far from central it’s a nice area with good transportation available like the cable cars that can bring you into Greenwich. There’s aslo a train station right beside aswell. Theres a tesco express and a few great restaurants nearby too which was nice.

Frukosten var helt okej, även om man med skandinaviska mått har höga förväntningar. Personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående. Det var enkelt och lätt att checka ut och in, inte en massa pappersexercis. Väldigt uppskattat med daglig städning av rummet när man reser med flera små barn. Bra med fri tillgång till ett gym. Läget, precis vid Royal Victoria dock med de gamla kranarna var mysigt. Jag gillade även att kika på de ankommande flygplanen som landar en bit bort på London City AirPort. De hördes inte på rummet ska tilläggas.

Relaxen (sauna och hammam) var permanent avstängd och inget besked om när den skulle bli färdig. Vi blev väckta en natt kl. 02.30 av att en annan gäst skrek och bankade oavbrutet i sitt rum under flera minuter.

Clean and in good location

The location is close to two train stations, which was comfortable.

The sauna was „out of order“ and no one made any attempt to fix it. I think the management just don’t want to run it in summer months, which is totally fine, then just don’t promote it! Furthermore, the tidiness in the breakfast room was borderline disgusting. I was more than one time close to vomit over all the food on the floor. We were not able to find clean tables. The employees simply shoved dirt from the tables directly on the floor. Someone should really teach them how to clean a desk. The sink in the room was not working properly, when we arrived. At least it was fixed quickly.

The Novotel London ExCeL is in an excellent location at Royal Victoria Dock. The DLR and Elizabeth line at Custom House are within easy walking distance, providing quick connections to central London and Canary Wharf. The IFS Cloud Cable Car is also a pleasant walk away, with great views across the Docklands and easy access to Greenwich and the O2. The K Warehouse for the UK Passport Office is very close by, one reason I stayed here. There are several restaurants and cafés nearby, plus a Tesco Express and a useful small independent convenience store. Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable with a particularly clean bathroom. London City Airport (LCY) is not far away, but I was not distracted by the air traffic from small jets. A very convenient, well-connected hotel in a quieter part of London. I would happily stay again.

On two occasions during the night, some people outside the hotel were noisy. Laughing, screaming, shouting, just having fun, I suppose. There is a seating area in front of Novtel. I was told that the Excel Security people are responsible for this, not the hotel. So, that is worth considering if your room faces the Excel Centre and the Boat Hotel.

Close to underground station of Elizabeth line. Very easy to reach from Heatrow, easy to reach from Stansted and Gatwick. Good breakfast. Average room size - good for single, not bad for double, small for family with kids.

First signs of bathroom and furniture deterioration. Beware: Do not.forget your room key card when going out at night. It is needed to unlock the entrance door of the hotel at night.

Die Unterkunft liegt am Kongress- und Messezentrum Excel und direkt an den Royal Docks.

Es liegt genau der Startphase der Flieger vom London Airport, der zwar deutlich weniger Frequenz als großen Flughafen aufweist, diese aber trotzdem entsprechend laut sind.
