Perfect area of Chicago…. Large comfortable room…. Bathroom large and wonderful…. Large windows with city views…. Everyone working there was great
The happy hour was in very bright cold room
The hit was a convenient location.
The breakfast room was on the 6th floor and tiny. The food options alerts subpar. Sometimes the door was locked when it was supposed to be accessible at all times to use the microwave. The tub was dirty, stained and had some patching up done. The AC was deactivated twice. Had to call the front desk to reactivate it. We came early to see if we could get early check. There were no rooms available which was okay. We added our name to a list to be called when a room was available and dropped off our luggage. Came back at check in time we were told our room still wasn’t ready and there would be a wait. However, people were just arriving and getting rooms immediately. It wasn’t until we made a fuss and showed proof of what we were told that we were given our room. Which is BS.
We found the staff to be very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The surroundings offered a truly wonderful atmosphere. Very close to everything
Seriously, the breakfast was a total letdown; I was expecting way more. And the hotel itself? It felt like a giant refrigerator, absolutely freezing. I actually ended up catching a cold because it was so chilly in there. Definitely not the cozy experience I was hoping for.
Awesome staffs and nice location. Felt safe.
The pillows were a little uncomfortable. I didnt use the hotel parking cause it was pricey.
The place was very clean.
The seating for the breakfast was terrible for a disabled person. All low seats full the first morning and zero seating the second morning. Halfway through the second day, most food was empty with waits to get more.
Breakfast was great! It was nice not to have to leave the hotel.
I don't really have any complaints.
Non all’altezza dell’hotel.
Great location for Lolla
Nice room nice view 614.
The room was hot and it 5 mins of calling. The bathroom light/fan was making random noises. Oth er than that things were great!

Many choices. It was very nice.
Not a thing g could be better.
We had a wonderful stay at the Kinzie Hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, making it very easy to explore Chicago. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, but what really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
Tolles Personal! Happy hour 5-7 mit complimentary drinks.
I love it! Excellent for the price and the location is just incredible.
It can be a bit loud at night, which is expected.
Location, location, location. Good sized room. Very clean. Comfortable bed. The happy hour was a nice touch.
Had to wait too long for the elevators. The breakfast is as basic as it gets.
Lani , Mickey and Michael were pretty cool! They helped us generously throughout and made it feel like home away from home! Awesome people , awesome hospitality:)
My wife and I spent a 4 day weekend at the Kinzie in Chicago and had a wonderful stay. The staff were very welcoming and professional. The location is great, easy walk to riverwalk and Michigan ave. Daily room refresh made it nice to come back to made-up room. Free breakfast and happy hour was really convenient and a nice touch. Will stay again next time we are in Chicago.
We had a great stay at the Kinzie Hotel, as always! The location is perfect, the hotel is comfortable, and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to Khouri, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel genuinely welcome. Great service all around, and looking forward to our next stay.
Our stay at the Kinzie was beyond our expectations. We especially appreciated the friendly welcome by the staff and thoughtfulness of the manager Lani, who made our stay extra memorable. We booked the Kinzie Hotel because of the location but found it was great overall choice- will now be planning a return trip to Chicago and will definitly stay at the Kinzie again.
Quick girls trip to Chicago and the Kenzie did not disappoint! Front desk staff and Jonny at the door took great care of us. Room was exceptionally clean, my only wish was that they would leave a few bottles of water for guests in the room each day. That would have been very nice and thoughtful.
Good location, spacious room.
Crowded breakfast room.
Where do I start: the location was prime! It’s in very close proximity to a lot of restaurants, shopping and a CVS that stays open until 12AM. Atmosphere: the air was clean and smelled good. The lighting was nice and it made the hotel feel inviting. The room: the room was nice. My only complaint is the noise that the bathroom light/exhaust makes when you turn it on and when the toilet flushes it makes a weird noise as well. Value: for the price, I expected more however I understand that you’re in essence paying for the location. The free breakfast was good with plenty of options and you didn’t feel rushed to get it before it ends. The happy hour every evening with two free drinks was fun as well. Noise level inside was great. Lastly the staff: Lanie, Deandre and Charlene were AMAZING!!!!! They were the ones who made this a five instead of four! Kind, accommodating and knowledgeable they were phenomenal! I would definitely book here again!
My husband has been to this hotel numerous times for work, and insisted he book a room for my daughter and I while we came up for Lollapalooza. It was a fantastic experience and the staff was top notch. We will definitely be back!!
The hotel is designed beautifully and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Johnny (the hotel concierge/valet) was especially helpful to us on check out making sure we had all our luggage and transport to the airport. We joined in with the hotel cocktail hour which was great fun. The bartenders we had made the atmosphere joyful and it was nice to sit somewhere and socialise. We location is perfect for everything you need.. I wouldn't hesitate to rebook this hotel!
Comfortable bed and great location
Welcome reception and free breakfast was nice but space felt like a breakroom and too crowded.
Great location
Breakfast could have included more.
Very impressive hotel , beautiful decor , excellent location, very attentive staff ,generous continental breakfast. Will definitely recommend it Thanks Jonny at the doorman .
We loved the happy hour and the location was great. Breakfast could have been a little better but was ok to a great start for your day. Overall we had a wonderful time and stay.
House keeping did turn our room down when we left. Thought they would have came and straightened up, give us clean towels and what not.
My wife and I stayed at the Kinzie for a long weekend. The first night there, we had issues with our neighbors being incredibly loud and inconsiderate (blasting music, partying, yelling, etc) at very late hours. We let the staff know of the situation and they took care of it. Lani and James did an incredible job handling the situation. They also helped us get into a new room without hesitation. They went above and beyond, keeping us top of mind throughout the entire process and the rest of our stay.
LOVE that they have a nice lobby that is accessible to guests. Awesome happy hour!
Location was perfect and the property was clean. Breakfast was poor.
Fine place, great staff, rooms bathrooms, hot water and beds just fine. No complaints; I would stay here again for sure.
Close to a lot of fun things - easy walking. Very friendly staff during whole duration of stay
Great location. Free breakfast is a nice bonus. The room was clean and well maintained. The biggest plus here was the staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. We enjoyed talking to Lani each day. Her smile and personality are wonderful. thank you for making our Chicago visit enjoyable
We recently stayed at the Kinzie Hotel in Chicago and had a wonderful experience overall. This was an easy 4-star stay for us, and with one improvement, it easily could have been a 5-star review. The location is fantastic. It's an easy walk to both the Brown and Purple Lines at Merchandise Mart, as well as the Red, Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines at State & Lake. We found it to be the perfect home base for exploring the city, and there were countless restaurants within walking distance. If you have the chance, I highly recommend Andy's Jazz Club, just around the corner. It's one of the few jazz clubs that welcomes kids and young adults under 21, making it a great option for families. I didn't take photos because the professional photos already posted are very accurate. Our room looked exactly like the pictures, and everything was spotless. The room, bathroom, and common areas were all clean and well maintained throughout our stay. We booked a room with one king bed and a pull-out sofa. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, but the sofa bed was a major disappointment. It sat at an odd angle, the mattress was extremely thin, and my 17- and 21-year-old kids could both feel the support bar underneath them. Thankfully, they're good sports. When I offered to ask about switching to a room with two queen beds, they laughed it off and made the best of it with extra pillows and blankets. We also had to request bedding for the sofa bed even though our reservation clearly listed four guests. I want to be clear that the reason I'm mentioning this isn't to complain—it's to help future travelers make the best room choice. We booked a room advertised to sleep four people, and I think it's reasonable to expect that four adults should be able to sleep comfortably in that room. If you're traveling with older children or adults, I would strongly recommend booking a room with two queen beds instead of relying on the sofa bed. Like most downtown hotels, the street can be noisy during the evening, but around midnight everything became surprisingly quiet. We had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. The staff deserves special recognition. Every single person we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They were probably the nicest hotel staff I've encountered anywhere. Although we never asked to change rooms, I honestly believe they would have done everything they could to make things right had we mentioned the sofa bed. That was the level of service we experienced throughout our stay. Breakfast was exactly what I expect from a complimentary hotel breakfast—in a good way. There were make-your-own waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, assorted breads and bagels, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, coffee, water, orange juice, and apple juice. The coffee was a little watered down for my taste, but perfectly drinkable. If you need gluten-free options, my daughter has celiac disease and was pleasantly surprised. The staff offered individually wrapped gluten-free muffins and egg bites. She enjoyed both, but especially liked the muffins. That thoughtful accommodation was greatly appreciated. We didn't use the fitness center, but we did make it to happy hour twice. They offered Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Starry, water, beer, and wine. The snack was individual cups of Gardetto's mix with peanuts. When we asked about gluten-free snacks, we were told there weren't any available. One bartender mentioned they usually also have popcorn, but unfortunately, the popcorn machine wasn't working during our stay. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a downtown Chicago hotel—modern, comfortable, and geared toward travelers. It's not a destination resort, but it was a great place to come back to after a full day of exploring the city. On our departure day, we had a late flight, and the hotel happily stored our luggage so we could enjoy a few more hours in Chicago before heading to the airport. That small courtesy made our last day much more enjoyable. For anyone wondering about value, I thought the Kinzie Hotel offered good value for downtown Chicago. The excellent location, complimentary breakfast, happy hour, and exceptional staff made it well worth the price. My ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff & Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Value Overall, I would absolutely stay at the Kinzie Hotel again. The outstanding staff, unbeatable location, comfortable king bed, and thoughtful service far outweighed the disappointing sofa bed. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is because a room advertised to sleep four adults should have a sofa bed that's comfortable enough for four adults to actually use. Book a room with two queen beds instead, and I think you'll have an excellent stay
Staff was amazing and location!
Perfect location in walking distance of so many places including food and entertainment.

Amazing experience. Room was very clean, great amenities, and close to everything that you need. Thank you to James at the front desk for going above and beyond for me at 3am to get me in and saving my trip, very professional and knows the area. If you want to experience Chicago, stay here and ask for James.
We will stay st thr Kinzie again. Our room and the hotel itself was clean. The complimentary happy hour and continental breakfast were a great help. Staff was friendly, professional, and consistent. The location is great but it does get loud at night so be aware of that. I cannot say enough good things about Kinzie. I will recommend to family and friends.
Location is excellent and walkable to most sites. The L was very convenient to take from the airport to the hotel.

Location! Comfortable. Quiet.
Design was modern. Friendly staff. Great location.
Breakfast in crowded space, with mostly low quality carbs.
Extrem zentrale Lage wenige Meter vom Riverwalk entfernt.
**The Kinzie Hotel** is a fantastic base for exploring Chicago. The location is absolutely perfect—right downtown and within short walking distance to all the major tourist attractions, as well as a great neighborhood full of restaurants and nightlife. The rooms are spacious, filled with natural light, and feature incredibly comfortable beds. The bathroom is also very large, offering plenty of counter space and shelf room for your toiletries. It comes well-stocked with all the essentials you need, like soap and body wash. Housekeeping does a great job maintaining a good level of cleanliness daily. The front desk is open 24/7, and the staff are extremely cordial, welcoming, and helpful throughout your stay. As for the extras: * **The Breakfast:** A standard continental breakfast. It’s not exceptional, but it is certainly decent and a convenient way to start the day. * **The Happy Hour:** A great touch! The hotel offers a complimentary afternoon happy hour, which is a lovely perk after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, it offers an excellent value-for-money ratio. I would definitely stay here again!
The price was good. The location was good. The room was good. Comfortable bed, decent Wi-Fi, good water pressure, decent pillows, clean. Staff was friendly. They have a happy hour where you can get a couple of glasses of wine or beer and a handful of snacks which was cool. What was most disappointing was the breakfast. It was packed. Not enough space to eat there. Not much to choose from. I'd stay there again, but I'd plan to go out to eat somewhere for breakfast.
Location, very clean, confortable, nice staff, included happy hour, good breakfast.
Location is great. Lots of restaurants and the River Walk within two blocks. Breakfast and happy hour was convenient. If you need a fancy lobby, restaurant, or rooftop experience there are plenty of more expensive hotels close by.
I wouldn’t say “didn’t like”. I would just note that this isn’t a place if you need a fancy lobby, bar, rooftop, or restaurant experience with your hotel. The breakfast/happy hour room was pretty basic - nothing special.
Location and staff - 2 guys at the front desk were great!
Johnny was absolutely amazing and so was the Asian lady and the African American man at the front desk and the Latina lady in the lounge on 6. I apologize that I do not remember their names. Having a room to be able to gather in was amazing since we had 3 couples traveling together.
Jonny made sure I got the airport and my bags was in his care
Location was perfect. Access to great restaurants locally, close to the South Shore and the "L". Great walkability.
Not much of a lobby, but that didn't really matter to me. Would have been nice to get a couple bottles of water upon check in as well.

Great hotel, comfy, all staff were very professional and helpful, and very good proce for what you get. Rooms are clean, big, everything you need, and you also get complimentary breakfast and happy hour drinks daily. Just can't ask for more. Location was also excellent, walking distance (15 - 30 min max) to all main tourist attractions, and great restaurants and bars nearby. Also, Johnny, James, José and all the rest of the employees were very kind and professional. Will definitely recommend!
I had the pleasure of meeting Jonny he is a very hard working and knowledgeable employee. He knows the best spots and is very helpful I will recommend him to all of my friends back in the Bahamas who is looking for a nice hotel
My first time in Chicago was absolutely amazing. Lani at the front desk was very helpful & Jonny is the man. He pointed us out to the best attractions and the best rooftop bars in the river north area. I would recommend anyone coming to Chicago to stay at this hotel.
Been to Chicago many times and never had an experience quite like my last one. From the moment I arrived, EVERYONE was extremely friendly and welcoming especially the bellman, Jonny. Jonny was very polite and accommodating. He gave great suggestions on what to do and eat in the city. He was very knowledgeable and thanks to him, I had one of the most memorable dining experiences in downtown Chicago. Rooms were very clean and the location was great. Will definitely book again!
Posizione splendida e aperitivo serale compreso

Location and Staff was great.
Breakfast could be improved. A bit more protein options.
10/10 experience :) the Kinzie makes you feel like home. Their staff is fantastic, especially Lani at the front desk and Johnny from luggage. The whole team takes care of anything you need, and yes, there is a chat feature where you can chat live with someone from the front desk if you need something :) plus free breakfast, a gym, clean, and a great location. Thank y’all for a great stay!
Great location and friendly staff
Lots of noise at night and housekeeping did not clean the room one day
Really lovely hotel, front desk staff was so kind and helpful. Every time we had a question or were even just greeting us warmly when we walked in.
We liked everything about the hotel, except the very loud noise late into the night and into the early morning hours from the nearby bars. Pounding drum beat music used to be fun when I was a younger person, but now, keeps me from sleeping and I wasn’t unable to go to sleep two nights in a row at this hotel until at least 3 AM when the music stopped. The noise was just horrible. Really wished I would have known about this before booking. We were in the back of the hotel building and there was a bar/night club right across the street
Great location by a lot of good restaurants and was very comfortable.
The breakfast/happy hour room is very dated compared to the rest of the hotel with not a lot of fresh options in the morning.
Posizione e letto comodo.

I liked the gentlemen who checked us in, I loved the location (very walkable to all major downtown/Loop locations), I loved the drink coupons for happy hour, I liked the gym, it was a decent breakfast (but a small room and always busy) and the room was a decent size.
I hated having to use my room card to go up AND down on the elevator, I hated the HVAC system--it was totally ineffective in our room and it was so uncomfortable at night, the pillows were way too poofy and the front desk didn't have other sizes, I didn't like that I couldn't open a window for airflow--the lack of hvac air and no window open was suffocating, the parking rates were freaking absurd ($80/night for hotel guests....), I hated that you couldn't use the stairs to go up/down floors, and I would have liked a bar with a view. For the VERY expensive price, I expected WAY more.
Friendly staff, clean environment, prime location.

When I first came to Kinzie Hotel, I was greeted by James at the front desk. He was so welcoming and he made me feel right at home. He was very helpful especially helping me with local businesses such as SpotHero. It would’ve cost a fortune to park my rental car at the Convention Center each day but but he suggested SpotHero for parking around the city and I saved an exorbitant amount of money to park my car. He was also very helpful with different dining places and bars to attend in the evening. He was very knowledgeable about everything that was going on in the hotel as well and very helpful! It was so nice to come in and see his smiling face greeting me after a long 13 hour day of work. I was very thankful for him as he made my work week special! Thanks James, you’re the best!
Great position, comfortable room
Breakfast was pretty poor in terms of product offer. The breakfast area was also not nice: too small compared to the number of guests
