Location, cleanliness, efficiency of staff
Shower awful: poor pressure, entire bathroom floor slick tile or marble. Very dangerous when any small spot gets wet. Designed of shower greatly lends itself to getting wet. We were greeted and quickly told we would be paying for water bottles if we wanted more than the one 16oz bottle allowed per room. Even if two people in room. This is very poor taste, when you are paying the prices of this hotel and in a country that it is recommended you not drink the water.
Great location, steps from the central square and beside a large park. The property is beautiful, lots of cool art throughout the property and rooms. Our room was nice. The service was excellent. We had a few things we needed help with and the staff was super attentive and had solutions to all our issues. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Sort of boutique hotel Rooms are small. No view and nothing special Pool is ... Only location and valet are good More than 400usd for 20sqm average room with no view and even corridors front of your windows Cherry on the cake, no benefit to be with good Mariott statut Many hôtels in town... Better to go to another one
AMAZING! The rooms were gorgeous. The food delicious. The service impeccable. The location PERFECT. Highly recommend this spot for any type of traveler! It was luxury but with a comfortable "home" feel, which is hard to do. And let's talk about the spa. Wow. They have a personal (solo) steam room, which is an extremely unique experience. You can steam and cold shower at the same time; they provide a scrub while in there as well. And the massage and facial were excellent. LOVED the spa experience here . Highly recommend this spot for all parts of travel — and highly recommend San Miguel as a destination.
Wonderful hotel! Everything from the atmosphere, the rooms, the food, it was absolutely lovely. I stay in over 150+ nights a year and this was one of the most enjoyable hotels I have visited. I was here for business but the atmosphere made it feel like a vacation. But what really set this hotel apart was the staff. Everyone from the front desk, concierge, waitstaff and housekeeping were all top notch. When you take pride and are happy it shows and this hotel is doing it right. Hospitality at its finest:
Went to San Miguel to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Told the hotel that it was his bday when making the reservation. We made a huge mistake of staying here. They didn’t acknowledge it in any way - no champagne, no card, no balloons. And we are BOTH gold members. The photos make it look glossy and shiny, but it’s not at all. It’s a horrible hotel. Terrible service and completely inattentive staff. First day we found long strands of black hair on the floor, second day a roach crawling across the nightstand. Furniture is dated and dirty. GUSTAVO at the front desk was defensive, dismissive and unhelpful when we complained. We checked out the next day and lost a day of our vacation to packing, and then unpacking at the new hotel. On top of it all - no apology and they’re refusing to refund our unused points. Do not stay here if you want a relaxing trip or to be made to feel special. This is not the place.
If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. The check-in experience was horrendous. The receptionist spent most of the time explaining everything the hotel doesn’t offer: no upgrades, no late checkout, only one bottle of water per room, and any additional water comes with an extra charge. Even breakfast was disappointing — apparently only juice and toast are included, and anything else costs extra. To make matters worse, the concierge (last name Lopez) openly complained that the hotel owner dislikes the Marriott Bonvoy program, said the system “doesn’t work,” and mentioned they want to leave the program soon. What a terrible first impression. The entire atmosphere felt hostile and unwelcoming, as if nobody working there actually wanted to be there — probably because of poor management or ownership. Honestly, it’s no surprise I seemed to be the only guest staying at the hotel. There are countless better options in SMA. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
Hotel Matilda and the staff were everything we had read and heard about. Concierge Samantha and Axel were so helpful and always got us into places that were hard to get reservations. It was a beautiful stay and our housekeeping was perfect every day all day.
Great weekend experience at Matilda ! One of the best hotel properties in San Miguel. Great room, spotless clean, excellent amenities and in-room equipment, furniture and facilities. Amazing bed. Staff was really outstanding, Samantha, Carlos and the rest of the lobby team, as well as the cleaning and the Moxi staff were all superb. Make sure to check the great rooms offered to book the one that suits your particular needs best.
Hotel Matilda is a real jewel in San Miguel Allende. Our stay just happened to be during the recent disturbances in Mexico. San Miguel Allende might just be the safest place in North America, and so beautiful even during this time. The staff and management at Hotel Matilda have thought of everything to deliver the perfect vacation stay for their guest. From the Michelin experienced Chef to the Concierge team perfection in service. The Hotel is a beautiful design that fits into this UNESCO village in style and elegance. And I really enjoyed the size, I think it is only 30 rooms. This is the place to stay in San Miguel!!! 5 stars DC
Hotel Matilda lived up to its Michelin rating. Accommodations, service, food were excellent. Its location was perfect for exploring this amazing city, San Miguel. The concierges were super friendly and helpful in finding cool rooftop restaurants and places to see. What's very special is that almost everyone San Miguel ware pleasant and friendly. It is a historical site, which makes the visit very special.
My room was by the bar and in the evening it was very noisy There also was a Ted Talk at the dining area which made it impossible to go to sleep
We stayed here three nights while visiting SMA. This hotel is pretty good in terms of location and quality. It is located on one of the nicest streets in this town. It is also really close to the town square and Parroquia. Our stay included continental breakfast, which consisted of toast, yogurt, granola, fruit, juice, and coffee. However, since we are vegan, we only enjoyed the fruit, toast with jam, and juices. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The reason I did not give it a full rating is because our room could use some maintenance/improvement in the bathroom, as one of the faucets leaked when closed and the toilet didn’t flush well. We could also hear exterior noises pretty good while inside our room with the door shut; we did have the room closest to the bar and pool though. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious- to my liking. Overall, I would return.
the location is perfect very quiet street few minutes from the center. the restaurant is really good. the rooms are nice with a nice view they are spacious and the bathroom is big. everyone was very helpful and the concierge took care of all my reservations in town plus the transfers from the airport.
Outstanding hotel in every way. We loved the location and the staff was extremely helpful. Our room was quiet and clean. We would definitely stay here again.
Great staff
If you are looking for the perfect home base for a 3-night stay in San Miguel de Allende, Hotel Matilda is it. It is a high-design sanctuary that manages to feel both ultra-modern and incredibly welcoming. Personalized Service at its Finest The service here isn't just "good"—it’s deeply personal. The manager, Gustavo, was incredibly attentive and clearly cares about making every guest's stay perfect. The staff handled our restaurant recommendations and reservations with ease. Most impressively, when we purchased local art, they took the lead in contacting DHL to coordinate shipping sizes and pricing for us. It made what could have been a stressful process completely seamless. Vibe & Atmosphere The architecture is stunning, blending sleek modern lines with lush natural elements like the vibrant bougainvillea lining the walls. • The Playlist: The music throughout the property is modern and "vibey." I found myself constantly Shazaming their playlist to take a piece of the hotel’s atmosphere home with me! • The Retreat: Because it’s a smaller property, it feels like a private club. We often had the breakfast room or bar to ourselves, providing a quiet, sophisticated retreat from the busy streets of SMA. The Rooms & Spa Our rooms featured balconies overlooking a peaceful koi pond with beautiful views of the city. The bathrooms are impressively large and luxurious. • Family Travel: My kids shared a room which worked out perfectly, though it is worth noting for families that most rooms feature King beds. • The Spa: My family raved about their massages. The spa is excellent, and we found it very easy to get appointments during our stay. Location You are in the absolute heart of town. You get the benefit of being steps away from everything while maintaining a sense of total privacy once you step back inside the hotel gates. Summary Hotel Matilda is a "vibe" in the best way possible. From the art-centric design to the exceptional care from Gustavo and his team, it is easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. We loved the service at the front desk from Samantha, Gustavo & Christopher.
We had a wonderful stay at Matilda Hotel Boutique. The service was truly amazing, friendly, and always willing to help. Our room was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to relax after a day exploring the city. The hotel is also very well located, with easy access to the main attractions of San Miguel de Allende. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel and a great choice for couples looking for a stylish and comfortable stay.
I have loved this hotel since the doors opened and before. Traveling to San Miguel since 1980, I knew the first hotel on the site. When Matilda opened I loved everything about the design, the art, the food. We attended a family wedding and our home was the venue for the ceremony, so a great opportunity to stay. I misbooked the dates, the staff were so kind and rearranged everything. The breakfast is a dream, the rooms comfortable and the location just perfect for a quick stroll to all of the best in dining and shopping but quiet street. Stay here!
From the moment we checked in and during our entire stay we were treated warmly by all the friendly staff. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the downtown area, parks and services. The hotel is charming with a great lobby area full of art. Having the restaurant on-site is convenient. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Any excursion can be booked at the concierge desk, and English is spoken by staff. We look forward to our next stay at Hotel Matilda!
Especially well designed hotel in an idea spot for fun and relaxation. Close to good food and a park. You won’t be disappointed.
We loved our stay. Perfectly located, the included breakfast and coffee and juice was a great value, the room was bright and airy...all very comfortable. Would 100% recommend and hope to stay there again!
We recently stayed at Hotel Matilda in San Miguel de Allende, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel blends contemporary design with the charm of the town perfectly — stylish without feeling pretentious, and warm without being overly formal. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The concierge team not only helped us with dinner arrangements at Moxi, but also prepared a beautiful birthday setup in the room, complete with a handwritten note and dessert. Those small touches really made the experience personal and unforgettable. The location is ideal — just a short walk from the main square, yet quiet enough to feel like a retreat. Our room was well-designed, spacious, and filled with natural light, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The art pieces displayed throughout the property add so much personality.
I had the absolute best hotel experience at Hotel Matilda! I was in town for a family wedding and they helped accommodate a watch party for our favorite American football team. Every staff member was so kind and helpful! I felt like a valued guest from the moment I walked up to the minute I left. Super clean, well-staffed, great drinks, yummy food! My family and friends were jealous that I booked here and they didn't. I wish I had my next trip planned so I can stay here again. Highly HIGHLY recommend! Muchos gracias, Hotel Matilda!
From the moment we decided to go to San Miguel de Allende, we looked at many hotels for our week-long stay. The proximity to the center city was ultimately one of the main reasons we decided to stay at Hotel Matilda. But, we were extremely pleased with the personal attention to detail and the wonderful environment! We used their What's App to start communication and it made our experience perfect! They made restaurant reservations, arranged a wine tour, gave us some ideas of things to do, and found a private room where we could watch Monday Night Football! We loved their entire staff but want to give special kudos to Gustavo, Samantha and Axel, and the best bartender, Oscar! We travel a great deal and this will remain one of our fondest memories. Thank you Hotel Matilda for your wonderful service, fantastic meals and beautiful room, 4A.
The staff at Hotel Matilda were extremely helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable, and the accomodations at the hotel (gym, pool, dining) were great for our stay. The hotel location was central to SMA. Would definitely recommend and return!
We stayed at Hotel Matilda for 5 nights in a king room. The room was very nice, the bed very comfortable, large bath with two vanities and oversized walk in shower. Our room had a small but nice balcony with chairs that we enjoyed. Breakfast was included which consisted of great fresh juice choices, yogurt with granola and fresh fruit and toast with great strawberry jam. The staff was incredibly nice, attentive and friendly. The pool area is very pretty but the pool is rather small with 4 lounge chairs but there was always space available. Samantha and Gustavo at the front desk were incredibly helpful, offering great suggestions and making any reservations on our behalf. The hotel is very conveniently located with a short 5 minute walk to the center of town. Highly recommended.
Disappointed - For this "caliber" of hotel - VERY Mid level service - good location - but there are SOOO many other nice hotels that will be getting my business when I return this winter
Hotel Matilda is our Top Choice in San Miguel de Allende! Hotel Matilda is perfectly located, just a 5-minute stroll from the iconic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and Plaza de la Paz. The hotel itself is incredibly clean and boasts a contemporary, upscale design that's truly impressive. While the room rates are on the higher side, you definitely get what you pay for. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean, especially the bathroom, which was a real highlight. The staff here are absolutely wonderful – professional, courteous, super nice, and incredibly helpful. A huge thank you to Gustavo, Carlos, and Axel for making our stay even more enjoyable! We also loved the look of the on-site restaurant, especially the terrace with its pleasant view. We're already planning our next trip to San Miguel de Allende, and there's no doubt we'll be staying at Hotel Matilda again. Strongly recommended!
Enjoyed our stay here very much. Hotel is spotless and interestingly designed to amuse and comfort guests. The staff was helpful with recommendations and reservations. Our room was spacious and comfortable. There was a large bathroom and a small deck overlooking the courtyard. The hotel is in the middle of San Miguel, which is very convenient for walking anywhere in the central town. It can also be noisy at night because of people partying nearby in this dense area. When this hotel was playing music in the courtyard at night at the bar even though no one was there, we asked them to turn it off and they did. As Marriott platinum members, we had the complimentary breakfast. It was simple: fruit, yogurt, granola and some pastries. OK, nothing special. Service was good. We didn't take any meals at the hotel restaurant. Recommend staying here to visit the magical city of San Miguel de Allende.
MATILDA is more like a private resort than a hotel. Staff are perfectly friendly and accommodating. We chose a suite category but were upgraded to an even larger suite. The room was calm, sophisticated, and extremely comfortable. The bed linens are luxurious as were the bath towels. The food is magnificent, beautifully prepared and served. Surprising menu options that over achieved our expectations. The spa was excellent. We had three amazing treatments that again exceeded our expectations. We were surprised and delighted by the concierge staff. They made all our outside meal reservations. But then they went so far as to surprise us with a round of drinks or the best table in the house. We were blown away! We could not say thank you enough
Wonderful location, very close to the pink church and heart of the town. Nice staff, clean room and comfort bed. Small room, and very loud sound outside at night.
A wonderful experience and highly recommended. The staff is very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The boutique nature of the hotel made the experience even more enchanting. Located on a very charming street, the Hotel is very close to Centro and a wonderful park nearby. The room with terrace was spacious, very clean with turn down service, and well appointed. Dining was first rate, with drink service at the pool bar excellent as well. We would not consider any other Hotel for our next visit and look forward to returning soon.
I don’t often write reviews, but in this case, I feel I should. Positives: The staff were very helpful, and housekeeping was outstanding—honestly, the best ironed shirt I’ve ever received at a hotel. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the plaza and right on Aldama. The gym and spa were excellent; my wife especially loved her facial. Negatives: Unfortunately, the first coffee we received somehow had what seemed to be an acid-based cleaner in it, which burned my wife’s throat. That really shook our trust in the breakfast service, which was already pretty minimal to begin with. The pool is small, with very few seats, and it wasn’t well maintained—we noticed debris floating in the water. The rooms are quite tight in terms of space, though very clean.
Wonderful staff! Beautiful property.
Terrific boutique hotel. Very well situated - a short walk to the central plaza and the Rosewood, which I recommend for sunset drinks. Wonderful staff and service. I disagree with the negative reviews that were posted. Everything about the place is top notch.
The hotel is clean and well designed. The AC is strong and staffs are friendly. However, the experience is below my expectation for the price they charged. We have stayed in a few Mexico hotels in this trip. All other hotels provide sufficient bottle water/filtered water upon request. This is the most expensive hotel that will only provide a small bottle of filtered water per day. Any additional water (in the room) consumed is chargeable. Can't believe hotel like this will nickel and dime guests like this. Please also be aware that some rooms even on third floors have no elevators. This may be a problem for people with mobility issue. The hotel needs to clearly describe this situation.
This property was a disappointment. It is in the Michelin Guide, has been awarded a Design award and gets good reviews however we found it to be not a well designed hotel and our room was sterile. The pool is tiny with only 5 lounge chairs despite its 32 rooms. There isn't an outdoor lounging space other than the dining area. Our room while large, was completely lacking in character, and quite soulless. Two small windows that were opaque meant no natural light. The beds were comfortable, the Smart lighting a pain. Bathroom was a good size however the vanity was small so there was no space for toiletries. Who designs these spaces? Also a shower curtain rather than glass enclosure meant less light in the shower. Not very 4 star worthy. The continental breakfast included was surprising. Very small amount of yogurt and granola with good amount of nice fruit, white toast (grain bread would have been appreciated) and green juice was lovely. Espresso was extra ($650 US a night!) and drip coffee awful. Also when you check in you're read off a list of "extras" including water in your room (after first free by bottle). Tacky for a highly rated and expensive hotel. All to say, we wouldn't go back.
Our room was spacious and bed comfortable. Linens and towels good quality. Shower big, Malin & Goetz products. Continental breakfast of fresh fruit with yogurt and granola was nice (but small). Green juice was good as was the challah toast (but a grain bread would have been better). Location of the hotel is its best feature.
Beginning with the "extras" they inform you as you check in. Two free bottles of water and all others 50 pesos extra. Really, after spending $600 US a night you'd think they could throw in the water. Continental breakfast included with drip coffee (not good) but espresso extra. (I had black tea that was light brown and tea bag had been taken out. Did they reuse it?!") The room was large but soul-less/sterile. For a design award hotel it was a big disappointment. Barely any natural light as two small windows were opaque. Bathroom had next to no counter space to place toiletries despite bathroom being large. Lots of room for a little table. The hotel has a nice looking pool with only 5 lounge chairs. What about the other 30 people? I missed an outdoor space to lounge/read in. Only dining tables and chairs on patio. Again, not sure why they won a design award and I certainly don't agree with the Michelin guide.
We loyal bonvoy travelers with titanium elite status and this hotel does not give you any of your benefits of the brand so beware if you are staying here thinking you will get your benefits. Front desk lied about having upgrades that were clearly available. They also lied about having a concierge lounge. And they will not give you the guaranteed late checkout. And no welcome gift upon check in. The grounds are very pretty and the hotel is walking distance to all things you want to see but if you are expecting to get any of your amenities don’t bother. Pool on the property is freezing cold like a cold plunged and we went when it was 90 degrees out. All in all property is nice just a very bad experience of a weathered loyal bonvoy customer.
The staff at this hotel provided the best hospitality I could have imagined. I traveled with two small children and the staff made sure we felt accommodated as a couple but also welcomed the children. I hope to travel back to SMA, and if/when I do, there’s no question I’ll stay here again. Incredible experience!
Great room, great staff
Not enough electrical outlets in the room
Staff freiendly. Great location! Great decor and really good breakfasts! (only meal I ate there)
This was one of the best hotels worldwide where I have stayed. The artistic design was interesting, exciting and pleasing, no matter where the eye looked. The staff was super warm and helpful, always at your service. The rooms were very comfortable and beds were very yummy and inviting. The food was delicious. I just loved being their space as much as I could. It was totally lovely.
The hotel is well localized , modern with very nice details. The rooms are very comfortable as well as the beds. The staff was very well educated , respectful and very attentive. Our rate included continental breakfast wich consisted of fruits , bread, coffee and juice.. they had a menu also from with you could order but not included. Breakfast is not like a buffet with you could get at other hotels but by my standards was good enough
Perfect location to explore SMA. Gustavo, at reception, went out of his way to provide us with information on places to eat and to visit. His demeanour was friendly and professional. Loved the fact that his tone of voice was kept very even at all times, something difficult to find nowadays. In the restaurant we were served at breakfast by Fernando and he was excellent. We helped him practise his English by making him translate from Spanish to us (we speak Spanish). Very pleasant young man. Everyone in the hotel made us feel welcome
The Matilda is no longer a luxury property. Not up to par of what I would expect . Staff lovely but hotel policy is very limiting . . They provide you only one water in the room for two people . Additionally they will only allow two espresso pods per day . A staff member must escort you to the lounge Very silly . Will not return .
Stayed recently for 3 nights and experienced worst service imaginable. We booked a "Junior Suite" for US$880 per night through the Marriott/Bonvoy website. The booking promised a sitting/living area in the suite, lounge access from 7 am to 11 pm, complimentary continental breakfast, afternoon tea, hors d'oeuvres, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. The hotel did not deliver any of these promises. The room was a standard hotel room with two beds, a desk and a chair in the corner. The continental breakfast was one half-slice of white toast, a small plate of chopped melon (not seeded), a glass of juice and one cup of coffee (with no refill until we chased down the waiter). When we returned from sightseeing at 5:30 pm on our second day and asked for a cup of coffee, we were told that coffee service ended at 5 pm. (We perhaps could have had coffee in our room, but the hotel provided only one regular and one decaff coffee capsule per day.) When I spoke to the Gustavo (the "manager"/"chief concierge") about the hotel's failure to provide the promised services, he agreed that the hotel was not delivering on its promises and claimed that he had never seen his hotel's description on the Marriott website. He told me to take up my complaints with Marriott, not him. Our advice: Stay at the Rosewood just down the street. A beautiful property with excellent service that costs about the same as the overpriced, inhospitable Hotel Matilda.

We loved our 5 night stay in San Miguel at the Hotel Matilda. The service and staff are excellent. Rooms are roomy and comfy. Restaurant chef is excellent. Great For breakfasts and dinners. Very centrally located. Aldama is a beautiful street.
Hotel Matilda is everything you would expect from a Design Collection property - interesting architecture, quaint spaces, open concept boutique feel, and luxurious villas. Our Villa provided ample space and a large bath along with a scenic view balcony. The bed was inviting, comfortable and provided great rest. The bath, the linens and extra large rain shower area provided a true feel of luxury. While the Villa was great, it is Hotel Matilda's staff that truly stand out. From the front desk and front of house staff to the bartenders and housekeeping, all exceptional. Also, the venue holds an Michelin recommended restaurant, Moxi. This restaurant venue provides a complimentary continental breakfast to hotel guests. The staff and manager here were exceptional and went out of their way to make guests feel special. Special thanks go out to Gustavo, Carlos, Allen and Moxi's Anna for their gracious and superior services. You made us feel special and welcomed. We look forward to returning.
Very nice hotel in an excellent location in San Miguel. We enjoyed the stay - welcoming, friendly and well organized. The hotel has a very cool vibe and the staff work very hard to make your stay comfortable. No hesitation in recommending Hotel Matilda.
Great location minutes away from city center. The staff, particularly Luis and Talia(?) were so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was very attractive and clean. Rooms are well equipped and modern. Breakfast is good quality but not varied.
Great staff and service, well Maintained property.
Tos esta increíble muy limpio bonito y excelente servicio
This is a wonderful boutique hotel, perfectly located in San Miguel de Allende. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the lobbies, restaurant and outdoor areas perfectly decorated. A lot of thought has gone into the overall guest experience.
No negatives at all.
AMAZING!!!!! Stunning hotel, super friendly, helpful…. The location is amazing, just a couple blocks from the center, with lots of restaurants, shops, bars. The Spa services were incredible. Absolutely recommend this boutique hotel!
The staff at this property were top notch! Absolutely the best customer service we have ever had at any hotel.
This place is amazing! It is beautiful, comfortable and located close to the plaza. But what makes it outstanding is the staff - best we have ever experienced! Their care and concern for each guest is truly surprising. I needed help with a wedding bouquet and they went above and beyond to make sure I got to the people and places I needed. We became good friends in just a week. We loved everything and would recommend it highly!
Fabulous hotel in San Miguel de Allende. I highly recommend and will definitely stay again when I return. Beautiful, comfortable rooms, wonderful service with friendly, caring staff and a lovely spa!
The hotel was an oasis of beauty and indulgence in comfort. The staff were beyond impressive. Omar was the best concierge ever!
I cannot recommend Hotel Matilda enough. The location and amenities are fantastic but the staff and customer service are incredible. They are so attentive and make you feel so welcome.
Carlos and staff. The breakfast was very good.
Shower pressure and temp control. A/C not working consistently, pool area very small.
Everything was right for Hotel Matilda. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. enjoyed very much our stay. We will return again. Exception was breakfast, poor untrained service, food was fair, availability of orange juice was partial.
Beautiful art and very helpful, friendly staff
Excellent location and amazing service at this beautiful boutique hotel. The food at the restaurant was great and the employees made us feel at home. Highly recommend!
Excellent service. The staff is always there when you need them . Our room got cleaned 3 to 5 times a day, that is hard to see even in a 5 star hotel. Concierge service was beyond expectation, they where able to get us a wine tour 1 hour before; even when there was no tours avaible. Bar tender service was excellent. if they don't have the drink you want, then it will be created for you. We received no excuses on why it was not possible. Everything was doable at Matilda.Strongly recommended . We will be back with more friends. Keep up with excellent service . Jose Andreu
The property itself was wonderful. The meal at Moxi was truly bad. A tasteless yet expensive menu de degustacion, specially worse was the main dish of that menu on Feb 23.
Excellent property and service!
Omar and the rest of the staff made us feel extremely welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This hotel provides a 5 star service. We look forward to returning in the near future.
Great property. Clean and new.
Excellent hotel, super service
We loved everything about Hotel Matilda. The location was perfect to everything downtown. Staff was very very friendly and considerate. They offered to help in every aspect, whether it was to carry shopping bags to the room, turnover the room at whatever time that worked for us. Hotel was exceptionally clean and spa services were amazing.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect! It was clean and and the service was efficient We liked our stay very much. The continental breakfast was great, also.
Would have liked a croissant included in the continental breakfast instead of just toast.
Great staff ! Good hotel .. plumbing and shower set up is non functional ..
Overall great place People were outstanding, in all areas, especially concierge desks, restaurant waiters, bar keepers. Location excellent. Aldamo cafe also excellent. A small quirky thing vs other Mexican hotels was lack of free drinking water in rooms.
Location was great, staff very nice and pleasant.
The room we got was missing natural light. The swimming pool was so cold that we could not use it. Their breakfast was disappointing vs price we paid for the room (only coffee + 1 little plate of fresh fruit + 1 half-slice of bread were included; rest have to be paid extra ++). Mathilda could definitely improve the breakfast quality and quantity that is not at level expected.
Amazing staff, food and rooms. the hotel has great location, walking distance to all good spots in San Miguel. they also support with extra activities and reservations. Very thoughtful and helpful.
Just the lack of clarity of the city tour that was arranged by the hotel. We wanted 1h tour and we ended up walking for 2 and half hours with a kid and we were charged for it. If we knew, we would have interrupted the tour earlier.
The best location
The room didn't seem to be the one I booked. So beware, pictures don't match the actual rooms, that depends on the location within the hotel. I suggest to change to an individual name for each room because your current number system is not standardized and is kinda deceiving.
The staff were super helpful and friendly. The cathedral and main plaza were within walking distance as well as other small restaurants. It was just a beautiful experience and will definitely stay there again on my next trip.
Beautiful design, clean and very comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Hotel Matilda and would definitely stay again.
Excelente servicio, locación e instalaciones! Mil gracias 🙏🌟
The staff is incredible! Super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the local area.
nothing
Breakfast was very poor
There should be at least an any egg optıon at breakfast
