Friendly staff. Very well appointed room, good size and everything I needed was there. I like that we could use the breakfast area to eat a snack and that both drinks and food was available in the evening.

La persona alla reception al momento del checkin non ha mostrato nè gentilezza, nè molta volontà di fare il suo lavoro. Nonostante le prenotazioni mostrate su foglio e su smartphone, non capiva che eravamo un gruppo di 6 persone, suddiviso in 2 camere. Zona non molto raccomandabile nella sera.

Breakfast had a good choice of cereals, a good basic choice for a "full English" (eggs limited to scrambled eggs). Toast (white or brown) with basic marmalade or other spreads available from a dispenser. The room was ok. A good shower with a good hot water supply and lots of pressure. Wifi (free) was excellent.

The aircon in the room was noisy. Impossible to open window even a crack so aircon is necessary. The one lift was hard to call to the lower and upper ground floors involving a more waiting than usual. The fire alarm went off in the evening and I made my way down the stairs with another young man. At the ground floor the only option to go out was the fire door which seemed reasonable. The receptionist came out and asked us if we'd opened that door and told us off for setting off the alarms again 😊 - we explained that it was the emergency exit and we had no way of knowing how urgent it was to evacuate! (She didn't seem to understand!) - A little amusing episode to finish the day.

Always a pleasant stay, as I stay here often when visiting family. Staff very polite, helpful and professional.

On this occasion I stayed, it was very busy at breakfast time, which of course is expected. Only downfall is they were running out of breakfast food, and people including myself were waiting a while for new food. Also the cutlery had all gone and we were waiting for this too.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, there was a really good desk to work at, the staff were all lovely and helpful, from reception to dining room to cleaners, the bathroom and shower were great, everything was very clean and the breakfast was really good.

Nothing about the hotel. I found Swindon a bit depressing in parts. But if you need to go to Swindon, this hotel is great value for money.

A fairly standard Holiday Inn. Close to the station which is useful. Breakfast is a bit limited but has an OK selection and is hot.

When I stayed one lift was broken it took 7 minutes just to get to the reception to checkout as one lift was not sufficient and the stairs did not easily lead to reception. Additionally the sound proofing both to the corridor and the street is only OK. Conversation and horns are easily heard in the room.

Hay solamente un ascensor y además uno de los días no funcionaba (durante todo el día) por lo que teniamos que subir seis pisos a pie. La gente que se ve en los alrededores del hotel no tiene muy buena pinta y mucha gente viviendo en la calle. El aparcamiento es muy caro pero a 8 minutos andando hay una calle donde no se paga.

we appreciated the welcoming staff and good breakfast.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room had a connecting door to the adjacent room. Although the door was locked, the soundproofing was extremely poor and we could hear everything from the room next door. The people in the adjacent room were having a party, and the noise continued until around 2:00 a.m. My children were unable to sleep because of it. There was no telephone in the room to contact reception, so we had to use our own mobile phones to call them. Despite reporting the problem, the hotel staff were unable to resolve the situation and the party continued for hours. The cleanliness was also below an acceptable standard. The towels did not appear to be properly clean, which was particularly unpleasant. In addition, parts of the hotel were clearly undergoing renovation. The elevator area was unfinished, with visible holes in the walls, making the hotel feel poorly maintained and certainly not ready to provide the standard of accommodation we expected.

Booked in here because the house we booked was not suitable, and the staff were so lovely, and helpful. Stayed for 11 nights. Beds comfortable and the breakfast is good. Great location in town centre, and a car park too.

Habitación sin ventilación natural, olor a tabaco, moqueta manchada y con mal olor; el WC no funcionaba y había que tirar de la cadena repetidas veces para que funcionara, etc. Un solo ascensor que era poco para todo el hotel y falta de mantenimiento en el hotel y en la habitación. El ambiente de los alrededores e incluso de parte del hotel no nos gustó nada.

I liked the location, room, and check in greeting. The room was very good value for money, very comfortable, more spacious than it appeared when booking, and the bathroom was very nice and spacious. Only minor complaint was the ironing board being too short.

The lift was hilariously overengineered, which is a problem I'm sure the staff are well aware. The stairway felt neglected and a little dodgey. Given the latter was usable without a key, anyone could ascend or decend, the lift's security requirement to scan the key before pressing any button seemed redundant. I didn't like the presentation of the scrambled eggs, they looked like they wet themselves. The check out felt dismissive compared to the check in. Finally, on a personal level, I would like to see a little green anywhere in the hotel, I noticed it was completely absent in the reception and canteen.

Stayed at room 115, which had a window that seemed to be there purely to meet regulations—it was more like a vent than a proper window. Of the two lifts, one was completely boarded up while undergoing repairs, and the other was out of order, meaning there was effectively no working lift available. The parking situation was also extremely disappointing. EV charging bays were occupied by non-EV vehicles, and the staff repeatedly said there was nothing they could do because the parking was operated by a third party. If you need to charge an EV, I would genuinely avoid this hotel. On top of that, reception charged for a full 24 hours of parking without clearly explaining the options or offering a more flexible alternative. So pay for parking at Hotel Reception, but anything else is not their concern. Overall, there are several basic areas where the hotel needs significant improvement, particularly accessibility, parking management, and communication with guests.

Brekfast was good, but lack of staff meant need to wait for plates and cutlery. Th eroom was as expected and comfy. Good showers. The lift was not working and we qwere in 6th floor. it was very difficult cxarrying the bags up 6 floors.

If you have any issues with your reservation and can't go, they won't help at all—even if you let them know months in advance. Be careful when booking here. In my case, the RIAT event was canceled, and even though I gave them several months' notice, they didn't offer any flexibility, and you'll end up losing your money.

Nothing much to be honest

Lift was broken, we had to go upto the stairs with the luggage and a toddler. No help was offered by the staff. AirCon of the first 2 rooms weren’t working, had to change room 3 times just to get comfortable. Checked in 8pm and until 11pm I was running up and down to the reception just go get air conditioning running in heat when temperature was above 30 degrees.

I loved the location, within the town centre and so close to it train station. The hotel was easy to find. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfy.

The lift was not working and so we had to go up the stairs with our bags. The lift was out of service all day. It got fixed at night and the next day was a lot easier.

Air conditioning not working properly, we booked this hotel because it had air-conditioning, especially with the recent hot weather. It had one working lift, our rooms were on the top floor and some occasions took around 10 minutes waiting for a lift. I think the lift was shared with the ibis hotel next door.

The Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, the scent of the hotel lovely.

We had to complain about breakfast both days. We were down for breakfast at 8.55 and 8.30. First morning, no hot breakfast ready, no milk, no bread,no knives, forks, serviettes, plates. Staff advised they were coming to end of service!! Service ends at 9.45am. Therefore we had to complain as did others around us. Not good enough. After complaining, food slowly arrived, though we couldn't have a full breakfast on one plate as food came out separately. We heard one lady say she would just have a bacon sandwich as nothing else and no cutlery! Not good enough! On the plus side, once food arrived, it was nice!

Room was excessively hot. Air con was incredibly noisy and had little impact. Breakfast service was very poor. Plates and cutlery often not available at buffet, having to chase staff to resolve. Buffet machines often not working (coffee and pancakes). Several sockets in the room did not work. One of the lights in the room did not work.

AC vent filled with dust. Not cleaned for ages. We started sneezing soon after it was turned on and had to spend the rest of the night without AC. Windows dont open even a bit. Only one lift operational and would take us 30minutes at a time to go up or down. We were on the 4th floor

The staff was unhelpful and rude Sunday breakfast everything ran out including mugs and cups They put my family in the wrong room and then when confronted with proof of this they blamed booking.com, we later found out the reason why my family didn’t originally get the room we booked is because the two top floors of the hotel were being used for homeless people and refugees. The television in my room didn’t work, one of the plug sockets was coming of the wall The shower was leaking and in my families room the shower full on flooded the bathroom and soaked the bedroom carpet. Oh and we specially pre requested a cot for the baby and when we got there it wasn’t available and we had to wait for one to be available.

First of all, why isn’t the parking owned by the hotel. I understand not all hotels own their own car parks, but this one was not even monitored. There were homeless people sleeping in the parking bays. We had to request them to move from there keeping in mind they wouldn’t attack us as I had a child with me. As the car park is owned by 3rd party, anybody and everybody can park there. There’s no first preference for guests staying in the hotel. If you move car, and come back late night, you won’t have a space for parking. Disappointment!! On a second note, when we entered the room and tried to use the facilities, the bath shower handle was broken. Less water coming out of shower head and more water leaking from shower hose. • The remote to the TV dint work. The batteries were dying. Had to keep on tapping or move batteries or manually operate the TV from the TV. Not ideal when you are trying to rest and have to move to the TV consistently. • The air conditioning was locked set on 18deg, but throughout the night we were feeling hot and had to use our own hand held fans. • The carpet just outside the bathroom felt wet, as if something was spilled there. When we put a tissue over it, it started soaking in water or some sort of liquid. • Not quite a variety of Breakfast items. On our checkout day, there were no eggs at all. Just plain breakfast!! Specially someone who takes eggs for breakfast. Disappointed!! • Don’t think the staff cares at all to be honest. They can do what they have control over. The main hiccup was the LIFT!!! Just wouldn’t come to your floor. Had to keep on pressing buttons. At one point, we had to climb four floors and come back down 4 floors. When checked with staff, their answer was “yeah sometimes they don’t work”. Not the answer we were looking for. The hotel has 6 floors, but lifts don’t work. Disappointed!! Considering the name “HolidayIn”, the services don’t sync.

Absolute chaos..no cutlery, no plates or cups or glasses..has to wait half an hour to get a plate, was given wooden cutlery as they had no clean cutlery, tables were dirty, no-one cleaned..abaolute disgrace!!

Front of house staff were helpful and friendly and allowed my family and I to eat our takeout in the restaurant area.

The room was filthy, with dried blood on the toilet door frame, dirt in the shower, skirting boards and sills, stained curtains, and a bad odour. Coffee mugs and towels were stained. The cleaner arrived at 08.00, asking when we were leaving. The coffee machines were broken at breakfast. The room was too small for three people.

Das Personal mehr als überfordert - da ist aber nicht das Personal schuld, sondern das Management - hier wird wirklich deutlich sichtbar am Personal gespart - das Personal ist gestresst und ziemlich fertig - sie müssen fie Rezeption schupfen, die Bar bedienen und im Speisesaal abräumen und sauber machen - einfach unmenschlich diese Arbeitsbedingungen! Im Zimmer kann man das Fenster nicht öffnen und die Räume sind klein und eng Der Aufzug eine reine Katastrophe - kam lange nicht bzw das Dr0cken ging schwer - man musste 10x drücken bis es einrastete - dann kam er endlich und es war überfüllt - teilweise bis 10 min gewartet - sehr mühsam Waren schon in vielen Holiday Inn aber das war definitiv das schlechteste! Kann ich nicht empehlen

It was very difficult to find, as hotel signage is small and a coach parked in front of the hotel made it difficult to see. I had been warned that the lift wasn't working, the state of the stairs was pretty appalling, not just scruffy. The room looked recently redecorated, but the carpet was worn and stained. I also found it difficult to find my room, easy if you could use the lift. But using the stairs I could only see signage from room no.111 up and my room was 101.
