The receptionist was lovely, helped me pay for parking, after telling me how to find the car park, she couldn't have been more helpful

The 2 bath towels had holes in as did the duvet, the air con wasn't working properly, Breakfast was bad, the milk had gone off, when I told the staff they didn't say a word, not even thanks for telling me, there was very little butter. It was a shame as it could have been so much better.

If you've not been to an Ibis budget hotel before it is carefully engineered to provide you with as much comfort as possible for the minimum input of labour, so everything works by swiping your room card. There's a big TV in the room and the wifi is free.

The rooms are quite small and mine had no outside window but it was perfectly well laid out and you get what you pay for. Breakfast was basic with limited choice, but is included in the price and again, you get what you pay for.

Bikes were in the garage which was open and in view from the street- low ceiling as well so needed a helmet.

I booked for 5 nights, upon arrival the outside doors opened but the inside ones would not and the outside doors then got stuck trapping me in the hallway. I guest trying to check out had to let me in the property. I arrived at 12pm to see if i could get an early check in for 1pm, no staff in the building, we pressed the call button numrous times for almost half an hour. Called the main telephone number where then someone appeared but advised they were not reception trained so could not help. They advised a worker was coming in for 2pm so i left and returned at 2pm. I was not allowed to pay extra for a early check in on the basis that the one worker was on their own and had to get the rooms cleaned and ready so no one was able to check in early and we had to come back at 3pm. Returned at 3pm and the room still was not ready until 3.30pm. Got into the room, the room did not look like it had been cleaned. It had blood stains on duvet, bodily fluids on the wall and what looked like poo and hairs on the bathroom wall. Reported this to the hotel and no rectifactions were made to the room. I believe there to be bed bugs or some kind of bugs in the room as i was bitten all over my body. The area feels very unsafe. A disturbance broke out at 8pm on the second floor of which i was saying. Groups of males and females heavily drinking and shouting at one another. Banging on my wall from the outside and on my door. At around 11pm the same guests were shouting and getting pysical with each other outside. You could smell they were smoking canabis and exchanging drugs. They then came back up to the second floor where the shouting and voilence got worse. I called the main Ibis number as there was no staff on site and the man i spoke to said they would note it down. Nothing was done and by 11.30pm i had to call the police to which it took 4 officers to get the situation back under control.

There are no staff available after 10 , after calling at the reception they provided 2 sheets but no pillow or a fan and could not provide an alternative option as they said they were fully booked . It was boling and suffocating so had to get my son sleep in the car and the 2nd night they didn’t know if they could fix so had to checkout and look for another accommodation. Because of this stay a day of a week holiday was ruined

As a hotelier and experienced traveler, I must say it was eye opening of how rude and unprofessional the reception lady was and how unwilling she was to help on ANYTHING. A bunch of us total 4 rooms guests were stuck at the reception in the midnight because she didn't know hoe to do the check-in process. I'm not sure if she was trained to use OPERA.

The location was handy and we could park nearby.

The room was tiny, it smelled funny and the bed was against the wall on one side, which I hadn’t expected. We could have used extra towels and pillows. The air con turned itself on and off. We had to ask reception for a hairdryer and waited over 5 minutes for someone to respond to the reception bell. The breakfast was sparse in terms of options and there were delays in staff tending to the drinks machine and pancake machine, as well as topping up other things.

Staff was very helpful. Changed the room several times when I found the problem in lighting and sink.

It was a heatwave time. Airconditioning was bit noisy and not that powerful. However better than not having air conditioning.

This is a basic hotel (as expected from the brand). However it is well located, the rooms are clean, and the bar/breakfast area is pleasant/modern. Nothing fancy but certainly everything you need.

I like to use the stairs - but when I asked on check-in, the staff member directed me to the signed guest stairs but his bike was in the way. He said he would move it, but I came down later on and again had to climb over the staff member's bike. Not great for a designated fire escape. Breakfast on the first day was great, but on my second day, the sole staff member seemed to be moving extremely slowly (compared with the efficiency of the day before). There was hardly anything left around 08:45. I got the last plate. No bacon, no croissants, no caffeinated coffee, no apple juice.

Like a prison block. Tiny room, bed up against wall so no good for couple. window wouldn't open. Noisy aircon you couldn't turn below 18. No bbc or itv on TV, had to go next door hotel to watch World Cup. Dodgy location right in run down city centre area, boarded up shops, take aways bars, lots of guys just "hanging around" at night, didn't feel safe just walking to get a bottle of cold water.

Location is horrible. Streets full of fighting drug-addled Asian gangs, drug-addled women pestering people and stopping cars. The one member of staff is rude and unhelpful. More interested in her personal phone calls than helping guests. Breakfast seating area is filthy. Someone kicked the door in during the night and smashed it. Constant banging. Outside door is locked in the morning so you can’t get in to the hotel. And no one answers when you knock on it. Had to bang on the window of the restaurants to get the staff attention. And then she argued with me about not being able to get back into the hotel as they “have to lock it due to bad behaviour”. This is the same woman who ignored me totally at breakfast. I could have been anyone off the street stealing a breakfast. Second day restaurant full of people having breakfasts. Not one of them were asked their room numbers! Truly awful hotel in a horrible location. I’m just relieved I parked my car elsewhere. I’m sick of booking.com and misleading listings.

No kettle in room. Fortunately I read a review telling me this so took travel kettle. Would have been a shock otherwise and impacted on my stay. I like a cuppa first thing. Breakfast is a bit sparse and only sachets of instant coffee. Rooms very small. fortunately we had one with a window.

Very depressing decor, strange smell in the corridors, no window, price was quite expensive though and we could not get into premier Inn therefore booked ibis. Strange type of people were staying. On arrival staff were cleaning vomit on the floor which was bad welcoming sign. Price expensive so book room without window which is bad, felt like we were in prison. Breakfast not very varied, all clean but did not feel refreshing and nice to eat. Will avoid this hotel. Only booked because we had no choice unfortunately.

Klimatyzacja w pokoju byla zepsuta. W nocy nie dało sie spac. Kiedy zgłosliśmy to personelowi - usłyszeliśmy że nikt z kierownictwa dziś nie pracuje ( sobota) i nie da sie z tym nic zrobić. Śniadanie również słabe. Banany leżały już prawie czarne. W hotelu duszno. Za taką cenę nie warto

Vegan options for the breakfast were great (although just some vegan margarine would help).

Suggests a number of times in listing that there is air conditioning... granted we were in a heat wave but there was no chance that puny unit was going to make any difference. Check in was hard work, was sent info on booking.com but no email so no links worked. Had to wait a while for anyone to come. Very limited parking and heigh restricted, this would be worth adding in description as I booked before knowing this.

Really good value for quality of the property, the rooms might be considered small but space was used efficiently no dead walking like in other hotels, bed was really comfortable and a good quality Aircon slept really well considering the heat wave, insulation from noise and heat were really good. toilets and shower facilities were top notch, seem poorer quality establishments charge far more. check in was super quick and staff were really friendly, the lady at breakfast was friendly and said good morning which was pleasant to feel welcome.

Breakfast options were limited mostly continental but this was expected at the bargain they charged so can't complain, more than enough to satisfy your morning hunger

The aircon. I'd complain about the parking, but this time I didn't drive and already knew parking was an expensive extra. The lack of kettle, table, wardrobe, shouldn't bother me because I wasn't going to use them and this is a "budget" room, but I feel these are basics in every hotel everywhere. The absolute biggest problem, and the reason I'd be demanding a refund if I thought I'd get anywhere with it, was the ac doing nothing other than mildly perturbing warm air, whilst making the occasional death rattle. My entire stay was based around getting some rest upon arrival, and as it was an oppressively warm day I chose this hotel due to the presence of ac so I could relax in moderate comfort for a few hours. Instead I gently roasted like a casserole in a slow cooker before giving up on the idea of rest entirely. When I came back at the end of the evening I maybe managed 3 or 4 hours of complete exhaustion sleep before waking up much too early and much too warm. I personally don't consider over £70 to be "budget", and I do expect the advertised features to be present and useable. This room, with its lack of many things and excess heat in the summer weather would've been maybe acceptable for half the price paid.

There was no breakfast as the area was way too busy and the food wasn’t coming out of the kitchen fast enough. I didn’t end up eating that morning, in fact 2 of us didn’t eat which is very poor considering it was paid for. The room was surprisingly small and bare. I was only there for two things.
