De locatie is direct aan het grote plein met alles op loopafstand. Oaxaca is geweldig! Vriendelijk personeel.

Al hadden we achteraf mss liever wat verder van de drukte gezeten, maar dit had vooral te maken met een soort militaire scholen bijeenkomst (pentathlon) waar kinderen en jongeren het tegen elkaar opnemen. Hierdoor werd het hotel overspoeld door rennende en schreeuwende kinderen. De aardige medewerkers van het hotel deden hun best om dat tegen te gaan en na de eerste dag lukte dat ook beter. Maar het continue trompetteren en drummen om te oefenen buiten op het plein was niet fijn. De receptionist zei dat zij ook niet wisten dat dit zou plaatsvinden, maar dat leek ons onwaarschijnlijk. De junior suite die op Booking wordt verkocht als geschikt voor een gezin van 5 (wij reizen met 3 tieners) is dat zeker niet. We hebben na de eerste nacht een tweepersoons kamer bij geboekt en werden hierin qua prijs ook niet tegemoet gekomen door het hotel. Er zijn verder geen faciliteiten, het restaurant op de eerste verdieping was alleen in de ochtend open, maar onduidelijk wat je daar precies kon krijgen. Verder is er geen koelkastje op de kamer bijvoorbeeld, je kunt bij de receptie spullen in een koelkastje laten zetten voor 24 uur. Heel onhandig als je op de 3e verdieping zit.

Solo el baño limpieza y el equipo de llaves de la regadera que se batalla para mezclar.

Location, Location, Location!!! Right on Zocalo. I was in Oaxaca to attend Guelaguezata 26 and this was the best place to stay to experience the festival. Very clean property, every staff well behaved, nice on-premise restaurant with really good food. I had a room with a verandah facing the zocalo and i could just sit in the balcony and watch the fireworks, the performances, the parades over the weekend!! what a joy it was. If you don't like noise and sound of loud music (which I loved), you should request inside rooms. Taxis, buses are available in a short walk and it is a shopping mecca.

L'hôtel est parfaitement situé, tout proche des principales attractions de la belle ville d'Oaxaca. La chambre était grande, refaite à neuf, lumineuse avec la vue sur la cathédrale. La literie était très confortable.

Il serait appréciable de mettre des rideaux occultants aux fenêtres pour éviter d'être réveillé par la lumière du jour tôt le matin.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. Our balcony looked over the main square of old town Oaxaca. The square is lively and noisy at night but it did not bother us as the music stops by 10.30pm. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean and the hotel has a lovely ambience. Staff were helpful and there is parking available about a block away. The cafe in the hotel offers quite a good breakfast which can be convenient if you have a big day planned (not included in cost of the hotel.) There is a coffee machine in the room. We loved our stay here.

El Restaurant del Hotel, rica su comida, excelente y calida su atencion del personal. La habitacion con balcon hacia el parque. Elevador para subir y bajar al piso de las habitaciones. La ubicacion del Hotel inmejorable, Junto al Zocalo, frente al parque. Todo cerca. La atencion del personal, amables, dispuestos, fraternal.

Pienso que necesitan ser mas inclusivos con las personas adultas mayores con discapacidad, en el espacio para la regadera con pisos o tapetes antiderrapantes, barras para sujetarse al sentarse en el sanitario, de esta manera prevenir accidentes.

La ubicación es muy buena

El hotel ya es muy viejo, me iba a cobrar la tercer toalla cuando reserve para 2 adultos y 3 niño, igual me dijeron que se me iba a cobrar un agua adicional si pedíamos mas de las 2 que había en la habitación, el Internet super mal, lo que pague se me hizo excesivo, creo que hay mejores hoteles la verdad

El hotel es penoso. Se oye mucho ruido. Tuvimos que dormir con tapones en las orejas. Las camas muy duras e incomodas. Además, el hotel esta muy deteriorado, se cae todo. La limpieza pesima. Cuando llegamos encontramos una manzana podrida en un cajón y trozos de plástico. El trato al cliente deficiente. El recepcionista chulo y arrogante. En la jabotación no hay casi enchufes, tuvimos que turnarnos para cargar los moviles porque solo teniamos 1 enchufe operativo. La bañera no tenia ni tapón. El secador de pelo se caia de la pared .

La localización es excelente, con ventanales al parque. El personal muy amable. El desayuno excelente. La experiencia fue magnífica, a pesar de que estaba en remodelación.

the place was under construction, they were updating a lot of rooms and sadly we were near the noisier part, although noise stopped by 6 pm, children were tired and needed nap and couldn't because of the noise, even being in the room gave everyone a headache.

Great location to explore the plaza. Beautiful inside. Very friendly staff. Secure off site parking garage. Great for motorcycles. Definitely will stay again.

This property is in the middle of the zocalo so you are in the middle of everything, now for how expensive this hotel is , because believe is really expensive in mexican pesos is crazy expensive for what you get, the hotel beds are so hard like rocks, the rooms do not have a refrigerator and if you go in hot spring/summer days you will need ice bucket to put your water bottles to get cold at least ,the hotel is too old so do not have any amenities , no gym, no pool, hotels near by have more to give than this hotel for the same prices, also keep in mind that you will hear noise from the music of all around the zocalo square until 1am , so if you are a night person is perfect but if you want to go to sleep around 9pm Good luck with that, you will be listening to music until late night, so the only positive is that the staff all the ladies are the nicest ladies super nice staff but remember you only interact with staff if you need so . I wish this hotel does a better job making it a better or same standards as all the other hotels around it.

Initially we felt like it was too central and noisy, but simply listening to the dancing and nightlife from our room was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. The location is very central and walkable to every point of interest in the city. Banks, food, shopping, art galleries, excellent cafes … it’s got everything! The staff are so kind, helpful and accommodating too. There is a restaurant downstairs, laundry services, travel services, massages … anything you need the staff will help you with. I cannot say enough things about every single person who works there. They are all very special and patient! We really loved everything about our stay :)

If we had to dislike one thing about the property, it’s the beds. They are comfortable enough, albeit a bit hard.

I loved this hotel. The location is perfect. As a female solo traveller, I felt very safe. It can be noisy in the zocolo but it is a good noise. It’s music and dancing and people enjoying themselves. I had no problem relaxing in my room and sleeping at night. The room was simple and clean. Bathroom was updated and very nice. Air conditioning worked well. There are renovations going on during the day on the top floor but that didn’t bother me at all. The staff was helpful, pleasant and non-intrusive.

I stayed here before and as always it is very convenient to everything. Maria was especially nice to my spouse. Thanks Maria.

Location is excellent, was worried about noise since it is right in the heart of the city, and others had mentioned it was noisy, but I experienced no problems. It is a little dated but nothing overly concerning.

I love the service , the employees are awesome, everything is just perfect. I love the stay. Thats why i come back every year or every time im in oaxaca.

The windows are not double glass so you can hear the noise of the square pretty loud in the room with people singing etc. Make sure to bring ear plugs , then it is fine.

Great Mexican charm right on the zocalo , close to restaurants, shopping and cultural activities. Rooms were spacious.

Location is great. The architecture of the building is beautiful. Staff is very attentive. Great views of the Zocalo and Catedral.

Because it's located at the Zocalo the noise can start very early and end late. The Zocalo is often used for many festivities, concerts, etc... The mattress could be better but comfortable enough to sleep.

I expected this much and I got so much more! The view of the main cathedral from my room! Very nice room. While little luggage a uniformed hotel employee came to meet us at the parking lot. What else? Now I know something magical will happen on the main square but I am still having great time around having amazing cocktails and meeting local people

The location

the receptionist was not honest when i asked for a room for 2 nights, she gave me a price that was the double of what I saw on Booking. Once I made her notice she told me something weird, she kept insisting that that the price. So i booked through booking and she didn't apologize in front of the arrogant and clear diservice.

It was at the heart of the plaza square and very close to everything. There was parking available and Is free. The staff was helpful and the rooms are spacecious.

This was our second stay at Hotel Marques del Valle and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The hotel staff is wonderful, friendly, efficient, pleasant. We prefer the west side (front) of the hotel with a view of both the cathedral and Zocalo Plaza. The Plaza is filled with music and sometime dancing Friday-Sunday so it is a noisy until 10-12pm but with windows closed, you can stil sleep. This time we had 3 people so got a corner Jr. Suite, however the 3rd bed not really ideal as in the entry area. We prefer the room facing west with one or two beds depending on needs, and 3rd floor or higher. The first floor is at the 2nd level so if you prefer to take the stairs, then the 1st or 2nd floor might be preferable. The restaurant on the 2nd floor is excellent for breakfast. Located in centro, the hotel is within a 10-12 minute walk of most attractions and cabs are available in front of the Cathedral if needed. Enjoy your stay in Oaxaca on Zocalo Plaza.

Nice hotel overlooking the Zocalo, so u will get the noise from the area. Prices tend to be too high but it's clean & comfortable. We only had a small issue with the water leaking out through a hole onto the bathroom floor. I was given the wrong room in the back of the hotel when I had booked a park/square view & when I asked to change rooms the receptionist was hesitant which made no sense as the hotel was half empty.
