The property was in a great location in Canmore just a short walk to Spring Street and the board walk. The unit was spacious with a well appointed kitchen.

One of the hot tubs in another section of the lodges was broken so the hot tub in our lodge was always busy. The pillows desperately need replacing.

The location

The front desk staff was not very accommodating or welcoming. We had just arrived after a 13-hour travel time and were extremely tired, so we were hoping for a warm and pleasant check-in experience. Unfortunately, she did not greet us or even offer a smile, and her attitude during the check-in process came across as unfriendly and unprofessional. I understand that everyone has difficult days, but good customer service is especially important in hospitality. I would encourage management to provide additional customer service training to ensure that guests are greeted warmly and treated with courtesy and respect!

Not enough underground parking. We arrived late - at about 10 pm and there was no more underground parking in the building we stay in. We drove around and around looking for street parking. There was none. We then discovered there was another building with underground parking and we had to park there (last spot) and carry luggage for over one block. We were not happy

There’s no air conditioning, we were feeling hot all night.

Spacious apartment; secure underground parking; walkable to bars & restaurants.

The location of our apartment in the complex was on the ground floor next to the main entrance door, facing out onto the service road. As a consequence there were people walking past on regular basis, looking through the apartment windows, and making noise in and out of entrance door, & loading/unloading luggage. The electrics in our bathroom failed on the first morning, and when we went to reception to ask them to resolve this for us, the man there told us it was not their responsibility. I told him we had booked direct with the property, & at check in were told to raise any issue with them - but he told me no that was not the case. I had to message the property via Booking.com to eventually get resolution. Very poor customer service, and implying customer was lying.

Lovely view from our apartment to the mountain range. Upstairs bedroom was good - air conditioning would have made it great. We also used the sofa bed and it was comfy.

Lack of air conditioning unit. It was a bit of out the hussle and bustle of the town - we didn't mind this though.

The lodges at Canmore are a great choice for accommodation whilst exploring Canmore and Banff. The unit was spacious and very comfortable. It could probably do with a little re decoration, however everything we needed was there and the location was fabulous! It’s best to do a little research ahead for things like the local bus route into Canmore and Banff as it’s fabulous once you work out how to buy tickets etc. the staff where friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. It’s not luxury accommodation, but it’s a great comfortable and very practical choice with great value for money .

Room is much better than expected

Room is much better than expected, I was 10/10 satisfied. However the smoke detector malfunctioned midnight and kept beeping above 100db, we called front desk, they said will send someone but no one ever came. Imagine what if there was really some toxic gas

Near highway so you can hear that, size of balcony. It is a big complex so what you see on picture is not what you might get. Was clean but quite a bit of dust / bin broken (no lid) Beds are hard.

You get a fully equipped apartment with grill and with anything you would have at home… The anterior design of the apartment was also superb… plus the pool plus the gym plus hot tubs….

Great location, easy walk into downtown. Facilities are a nice touch with a pool and hot tubs although both were often full of people during our stay but that was expected during holiday season. Good to have underground parking also and the condo was a good size and fully equipped.

Spacious, good Kirkland drip coffee, clean unit, not noisy. Washer and dryer in the room are convenient. The kitchen is equipped with different utensils, pans etc. some of them were dirty though.a

Everything is super old. Don't count on a sofa bed, not comfortable for both sleeping and seating. Two dining chairs were broken, one of them to the point it's dangerous to sit on it. The unit itself was clean, but the hallways and staircases are not cleaned up regularly and look depressing. Shampoo doesn't make foam, all toiletries were meh except the small hand soapq bar.

Super ausgestattete kleine Ferienwohnung für 4 Personen sehr viel Platz und komfortabel. Alles extrem sauber, neuwertig. Zwei Bäder, große Küche, kleine Terrasse mit Grill, Pool. Schade, dass wir hier nur zwei Nächte waren, so konnten wir gar nicht alle Annehmlichkeiten nutzen.

Der Check-In war recht förmlich und nicht besonders freundlich. Kein Problem, aber im Vergleich zu den bisherigen Erfahrungen in Kanada ist es aufgefallen. Ansonsten war alles perfekt.

Very loud, had to leave the windows open bc of no air conditioning. The portable air conditioner that was there never went below 77. The glass wasn’t adhered properly so the heat just poured in. We had asked for 4 extra pillows when we booked and even visited the front desk and never received them. The couches and beds were old and hard. The carpet was very worn down and dirty. Also the closet light didn’t work so it was difficult to see.

Everything was beyond what we expected! Excellent place to stay!

A good upgraded apartment in a nice location in lovely Canmore. Well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub by the fitness centre.

Didn't use the BBQ as planned as it was on small balcony overlooking the street. Needed a good clean, too!

Having read a few reviews on here made me feel a little anxious. No need, our apartment 229 in the Grizzly Lodge was perfect, spotless, spacious, extremely well equipped. The decor and furniture is fantastic, beds comfortable. The kitchen has a huge fridge freezer as well as everything required for a complete home from home stay. There is access to hot tub in building (didn’t use) as well as a small nearby outdoor pool(didn’t use) we stayed over a weekend in June for a family wedding. There did appear to be a few groups possibly wedding/hen in the complex, but that happens everywhere. Rules indicate quiet time is between 22:00 and 07:00. The complex is a few minutes walk from a small mall with groceries and off licence. I would definitely recommend this particular apartment.

Washing machine, Dining area, fireplace etc. Its perfect for families and if you are getting this in decent price go for it. No concerns with Parking or anything

The sofa bed was not comfortable at all.

The location was excellent. The layout of the apartment was good. Parking was important and that was good. Well equipped in the kitchen.

Generally it was a very tired apartment. It needed refurbishment. Furniture showing signs of age. Light bulbs not working, a broken ironing board, and a barbecue that you won’t want to cook anything on and finally an extremely noisy fridge that wanted to be a steam train especially at night! I think the place would benefit from better house keeping.

Staff response to question/concern was excellent. They also fulfilled my request for a room close to family members.

Air conditioning and a softer mattress. Or someone could have told me there was a fan in a closet as I didn’t discover it until my last day.

The room was extremely dirty. When we walked in, we noticed an unpleasant smell; the floors and walls were filthy and we didn't want to touch anything. There was a layer of dust on the ledge and the carpet was old. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were lumpy and old. For the price we paid, it wasn't worth it and we won't stay there again. I spent money on cleaning supplies just so we could use the facilities without worrying.

The price was good. But we were disappointed by the quality and feel of the place. It was missing an experience of being treated. It was a place to stay, but...

Front desk area was a bit shabby. The experience of getting to our room was through back doors and up and down stairs. The room was large, clean but lacked warmth and was basic. Hot tubs were crowded, and I got lost returning from one in another building. The array of buildings was vast and directions were poor. Not an experience we would want for an anniversary.

Location is great!

Usually the pillows are in better condition. I booked in advance but was placed in a pet room which I did not request. I was quite disappointed and found that quite strange as we’ve stayed here many times. At check-in I don’t usually ask if it’s a pet room but for some reason I asked and they said it actually was. Luckily there was another room available as it was a busy weekend. Difficulty finding parking also.

Layout in the building and location is excellent.

We were in the Wolf Lodge, it’s extremely worn and dated, lots of broken stuff in our room, at the least a paint job is needed and new carpet. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Mattress was obviously very old. A friend was in the cougar building and it seemed a lot newer.

Parking was too tight, a few things were old/dirty like the lamps in the loft. Price increased by $200 by changing from Thursday-Saturday to Friday-Sunday. Could have booked a new room for much cheaper.

Check in and overall communication was good

Incredibly poor cleanliness. There were stains everywhere, on the carpet, chair, couch. Hairs in the bathroom and on the bathroom wall. Just unpleasant to be in and we checked out 10 mins after checking in.

Pillows felt like rocks. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Should have blinds that pull down on the windows that are level with the loft.

The fan on the refrigerator ran almost continuously which was very noisy. We were only 2 people, if we were 4 the dining table would have to be pulled out every time to accommodate sitting 4. The bedroom was also loft style which was not private for 4 people.

Facilities were amazing, location was amazing, very clean place.

Dressers, Bedding/ beds, wooden bed frame on kings size bed was wide and we hit our legs on it a lot/ not enought room to move around in king room, bedding was all sheets with no fitted sheet. Dresser drawers were not secure. Almost fell on our feet.

Everything was exactly what we needed it to be! Close to downtown canmore and the shuttle to take you into banff. Pool was warm enough for the kids and the hottub was toasty. The underground parking was tall enough for my 1 tonne diesel.and the people at the front desk were overly accommodating with early check ins, late check outs and overall care and kindness. The suite itself was clean cozy and spacious with everything we needed in the kitchen as well as laundry. Infloor heat in the tile bathroom was great.

The only thing I didn't like was the view as you can't see much other than the other suites however we weren't there to stare out of our apartment window and was so minor I still give a 5 star rating.

Very spacious and clean. Can easily sleep 6-8 people comfortably.

Bed/mattress was not as comfortable as it looked.

The room we had, has no electric fan upstairs, yes, there was ceiling fan but was not enough during summer. It caused us sleepless nights. The unit (326) we had needs renovation.

Set up for the kids to and parents to not have traditional hotel setting. Easy to get around close to where we needed to be.

Perhaps a bit dated and wine glasses not matching just a little thing.

Very modern and up to date

Everything about this place was perfect, in fact, both my partner and myself wanted to permanently stay there. The location was perfect as well. We were able to cook there ( my partner loves to make meals) as the kitchen was well-stocked. There were even some children’s cups which was very thoughtful. The bedroom was very comfortable and the washer/dryer was an added plus.

I would have liked a softer pillow

Loved the pool and hot tub. Was a good size for a family of 6. The beds were nice and comfy.

We have stayed here before and the property is good. Good location, hot tubs and a pool.

The unit we stayed in really needs some TLC. Counters in kitchen are burned in spots and could be redone and the carpet really needs to be torn out. The chair in the living room also needs to go. We had to second guess if we wanted to sit in it.

we stayed in an air b n b grizzly building 101 on the 3rd floor, this was a super great experience for 7 adults and 3 kids. responsive hosts, condo had everything, 3 bathrooms, beautiful mountains peeking out between the trees., outdoor deck and bbq. The loft also had a door leading out to the 4th floor for easy access after swimming, it's not marked but it's at the end of the hall. loved the pool outdoors and 3 hot tubs one in the main building which was always full and the furtherst out the cougar building which was a bit challanging to find, the bigger one is on the second floor of grizzly building was our favorite. This is a massive complex, you have to walk outside to get the outdoor pool located by lobby. it's not that far, the hot tubs were generally full. The pool is just warm enough, and it was warm while we were there. Room for one vehicle in heated Parkade which we loved, you'll find the cart's there for your luggage. there's not a lot of space in front of the grizzly entrance building 101, parking scarce otherwise when busy, you're allowed 5 room keys which worked out, we would stay again, beautiful view from loft hopefully blind fixed next time for better view. If you are looking for a really good unobstructed view you may want to pick one of the condos that is not got the trees partially obstructing. this is located on the road but noise did not bother us nor the train either

This place was so great. We started with a very friendly staff (and they were friendly and helpful the full time) to clean lovely rooms. Things we needed to make our meals, cleaning up around the place were available. The pool was lovely and heated, even with cold outside, it was so nice to see the mountains from that location. Lovely all around!

Staff is excellent. Free parking. Units are nice. Hood value for a complete apartment.

Pay attention yo the 'total price' on the Booking Website. There are additional taxes and fees when you check in. For me, it was an additional $19.

The views in town

The room was very poor quality the dining table was so loose it was almost falling over i had to tighten the legs on it as well as the TV mount as I went to Tilt the TV mount to the side a little and the TV almost fell off. The gas fireplace would not turn completely off so it would get so hot in the room even with the rest of the heaters turned all the way off and the door and windows wide open it was almost impossible to sleep it was so warm. And the pillows were terribly uncomfortable. And there was more

The location was great.

The unit #103. The king bed was hard and the sheets were like sandpaper. The living room furniture was horrendous and not worth what I paid to stay there. See photo below. The kitchen appliances also outdated.
