I had a very pleasant experience at GF Gran Costa Adeje. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and well-maintained, while the rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable. A major plus is the impeccable cleanliness, as well as the friendliness of the staff. All the employees were attentive and prompt, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The hotel features lovely pools—including a rooftop pool with a stunning view—and the area is ideal for relaxation. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and the location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the beach area. Overall, GF Gran Costa Adeje lives up to its rating and is an excellent choice for a holiday in Tenerife. I highly recommend it and would certainly return!
We have just returned from a stay at GF Gran Costa Adeje. Overall, we had a lovely holiday, but unfortunately we don’t feel this hotel lives up to its advertised 5-star standard. Having stayed in other 5-star all-inclusive hotels, particularly in Majorca, we found this experience was much closer to a good 4-star hotel. Check-in was pleasant enough. We arrived before 2pm and were told we would receive a call when our room was ready. Unfortunately, no call ever came, so we returned to reception at 2pm ourselves, only to be told the room still wasn’t ready. During this time, we watched several guests who had arrived after us check in without issue. Perhaps the hotel could prioritise preparing rooms for guests who arrive first. The refurbished rooms are modern and very nice. However, the tiled floors still looked dirty because of stained grout, which spoilt the overall impression. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily, but we were surprised there was no complimentary bottled water on arrival and the minibar was never stocked as part of the all-inclusive package. In our experience, this isn’t what we’d expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. The food was probably the biggest disappointment. Breakfast was generally good, and we often chose to eat lunch at the pool bar. However, the all-inclusive menu there was quite limited, with much of the menu requiring an additional charge. It also seemed odd that there was a freezer full of ice creams, yet all-inclusive guests were limited to small tubs. Dinner was very hit and miss. The fresh pasta station was excellent, and the English and Mexican themed evenings were the highlights, but overall the quality of the meat wasn’t what we expected from a hotel of this rating. We also found vegetables and lettuce on more than one occasion that hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly enough, with insects still present. It was also disappointing that there were no included à la carte dining options for all-inclusive guests. As expected during the summer holidays, the hotel was extremely busy. This made the restaurant feel chaotic at times, and finding a sunbed was a daily challenge. Beds were reserved from early morning, often with one family member remaining behind, so although staff did monitor towels, it didn’t make much difference. We saw families with young children unable to find beds, and one couple tried to use the rooftop area without realising it was adults only because nowhere else was available. Even with the newer sunbathing area, there still doesn’t seem to be enough space for the number of guests. Service could also be quite slow, although this was clearly due to staffing levels rather than effort. Juan Carlos and the bar team were fantastic—friendly, hardworking and always doing their best. However, with only two people taking drink orders during busy periods, there were often long waits. By the time you considered going to the bar yourself, someone would eventually come to take your order. During peak season, the hotel really needs to increase staffing to match demand. Overall, we still had a very enjoyable holiday, and there are certainly positives, particularly the refurbished rooms and the hardworking staff. However, we don’t feel the hotel currently offers the service or all-inclusive experience expected of a 5-star property. It also feels as though little has changed or improved over the years to keep up with guest numbers. Sadly, while we enjoyed our stay, we’re not sure this hotel is the right choice for us anymore.
We are here now and are very impressed. Two adults and one child (7) staying in one room, plenty of space and the sofa bed for my daughter is comfy. Room is very clean and well refurbished, with a good sized fridge and bathroom. All of the staff have been lovely and very welcoming, they gave my daughter a toy on arrival which was a very nice touch and our room was ready long before check in time. There are lots of activities but also plenty of room if you want some peace and quiet. We are all inclusive and can be quite picky regarding food and hygiene. No problems here, plenty of choice, the main restaurant is clean and well refurbished, we were served drinks straight away. The pool bar is also good for lunch and snacks, you can help yourself to sandwiches and fruit or order hot food. Lots of drink choices. The pool area is clean, and the pool with slides is a great addition since we last came here 10 years ago. It’s has a small cafe bar with lots of spare chairs and loungers. Nice shopping centre and supermarket next door and another just down the hill. Entertainment has been good lots for kids to do. Would recommend for a family holiday.
Our 5th time at this hotel and first since its refurbishment. The refurbished rooms are very nice although we were surprised that cracked floor tiles in both the rooms and corridors had been left untouched. In general though we were disappointed. Whilst breakfast was great, evening meals were generally greasy and no where near as nice or as good quality as our previous visits, and the food has always been one of our main reasons for returning to this hotel. Restaurant staff were often too fast to whip the plate away from you, sometimes before your last mouthful was finished. When you are eating as a couple it's best to wait until both have finished. Stopping the reserving of sunbeds is not performed, however there were enough so that this didn't become an issue, however the sun brollies are placed out one per pair of beds but they are small and are moved to the reserved beds on a one brolly per bed basis leaving many beds without brollies. There are water aerobics every morning in the main pool but the music for this is played so loud (even though we were using our own ear buds). Why do they consider it necessary to annoy hundreds of people around the pool just for the sake of a dozen aerobic participants? There is a smaller pool area at the rear of the hotel with childrens' slides and is part of the refurbishment. This was hardly used and so plenty of sun beds and brollies to choose from, and away from the loud music. What really summed up how disappointing this hotel has become was check out. Instead of asking us if everything had been OK, or had we enjoyed our stay, all we got was told to wait whilst they checked our bar bill.
We stayed here for a week from the 19th July. I cannot fault the hotel at all. Check in was quick and easy, the room was lovely and spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. I am a really fussy eater but can honest say there was something for me at every meal. There are plenty of sun beds and are usually full by 10/10.30am, you will always get people getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve beds and a ridiculous amount of umbrellas but the hotel can’t be blamed for that. We’ve already booked for next year. Thank you for a fantastic stay🩷
We have just returned from another fantastic stay at the GF Gran Costa Adeje, and once again, the hotel did not disappoint. This was our 7th visit, with our first stay dating back to 2007. This was a particularly special trip for our family, as we have stayed at the hotel several times over the years, including for our honeymoon, my husband's 40th and 50th birthdays and, most recently, my 50th birthday. We had to celebrate this year's birthday a little later than planned due to school commitments, but it was wonderful to return and make even more special family memories. Before arriving, my husband contacted Guest Relations to explain that we were travelling with my sister, who has mobility difficulties following treatment for a brain tumour, and my 83-year-old mum. He also asked if they could consider a convenient room location for them, ideally close to a lift, and requested a quiet, higher-floor room with a pool and side sea view for our family room. I usually deal with all the arrangements myself, but as this was a special belated celebration for my 50th birthday, my husband wanted to arrange a lovely room for us as a little surprise. He also mentioned my 50th birthday in his email, which made the welcome bottle of cava we received on arrival an especially lovely gesture. I honestly couldn't have been happier with the rooms we were given. Both rooms were lovely, spacious and beautifully maintained. Our room had a lovely pool view as well as views of the sea. My mum and sister's room was on a lower floor, right beside the lift, which was perfect for them and made such a difference to our holiday. The rooms were cleaned every day, with towels replenished daily, and towels were also changed again in the evening if we wanted them. The housekeeping team work incredibly hard and did a fantastic job throughout our stay. The reception team also deserve a special mention. During our stay, the air conditioning in my mum's room wasn't working properly, and when we reported it, they arranged for it to be looked at straight away and got it sorted very quickly. My sister also had some difficulty with the shower and couldn't turn it off, and again, someone was sent to help her immediately. Throughout our stay, we found all the staff to be incredibly kind, patient and understanding towards both my mum and my sister. My sister has physical disabilities and can sometimes find things difficult, while my mum can occasionally become confused. The staff always treated them with such kindness, patience and dignity, never making them feel uncomfortable or like they were a bother. This meant an enormous amount to us as a family and made us feel that they were genuinely looked after and cared for during our holiday. ❤️ We stayed all inclusive, and overall we thought the food was very good, with plenty of choice and different themes on the buffet each evening, which kept things varied. We particularly enjoyed the convenience of the pool bar and the hotel's facilities. One small point regarding the all-inclusive package is that not all cocktails are included, and it would have been lovely to have had a little more variety of cocktails included within the package. That said, all-inclusive guests do receive a discount on drinks that aren't included, which is a nice benefit. As a vegetarian, I was also a little surprised that the vegetarian burger wasn't included in the all-inclusive package, while the standard burger was. I'm not sure why this is the case 🤔, particularly as the vegetarian sandwich at the pool bar is included, so perhaps this is something the hotel could look at in the future. I would also like to mention the sunbeds, as I know this can sometimes be a contentious subject. You absolutely do not need to reserve a sunbed at this hotel. There are plenty available after 9am, so if you're happy to choose a bed when you arrive at the pool, you really don't need to get up early. For our family, however, I did reserve four sunbeds at around 7:45am each morning. This was not about trying to claim the best spot around the pool or taking more beds than we needed. My sister has mobility difficulties and my mum is 83 and can be forgetful, so having the same four sunbeds in the same convenient location, close to their room, the lift, toilets, pool bar and restaurant, meant they knew exactly where they were and didn't have to walk unnecessarily far or navigate around the large hotel looking for us. Our youngest son spends most of his time in the pool and simply shares my sunbed, while our older son tends to do his own thing and often uses the rooftop pool. So four sunbeds were more than enough for our family of six. For us, having that familiar routine and convenient location made a huge difference and allowed everyone to enjoy the holiday comfortably. It is one of the reasons the GF Gran works so well for our family. Our youngest son, who is 13 and already around 5ft 8, also really enjoys the hotel and the activities. The Teen Room, however, didn't really feel aimed at teenagers during our stay. He went in a few times, but there were generally more younger children, mostly under 10, using the space. It would be lovely to see a little more focus on activities and entertainment specifically for teenagers, particularly in the evenings. That said, the daytime entertainment was fantastic. Our son particularly enjoyed the water basket, there was also water volley, mini golf, water carpet and Gladiators. The entertainment team were absolutely brilliant — so friendly, approachable and helpful with a special mention to Alexander!! There was also an inflatable activity on a Friday, although this was aimed at children aged 12 and under, so perhaps having some activities specifically for older teenagers would be a great addition. The hotel itself is fantastic. The service is excellent, the rooms are kept beautifully clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I also want to give a special mention to all the staff who work so hard throughout the hotel — the bar staff, restaurant staff, pool bar team and hygiene staff. They work incredibly hard and often have very long shifts, so understandably, in temperatures of around 30 degrees, they can't be expected to be working at 100% every single second. Despite this, we found everyone to be friendly, helpful and hardworking, and we really appreciate everything they do to keep the hotel running so well. A very special mention must go to the Hall Bar staff, who were so kind and patient with our son. We encouraged him to go to the bar himself to order his favourite San Francisco, Copa de Leche Fría or Fanta Naranja, as we're keen to encourage his independence, and he's also learning Spanish at school. The staff were always so lovely with him, especially Jose (Jose Carlos) which really meant a lot to us. These little moments make such a difference and are memories he will take away from the holiday. ❤️ We were also very touched to receive a welcome bottle of cava on arrival, which was a lovely gesture. My husband had mentioned my belated 50th birthday celebration in his email before we arrived, so it would have been nice if this had been acknowledged personally during our stay, but this was only a very small disappointment in what was otherwise another wonderful holiday. We have now stayed at the GF Gran many times, and I think that says everything. It has become a very special place for our family, and we are already considering returning again next year. Thank you to all the team at GF Gran Costa Adeje for another memorable stay. We hope to see you again very soon! ❤️ Would I recommend it? Absolutely. 💯 And would we return? Without a doubt. ❤️🌴☀️
The BEST trip - can I go back?! Honestly, I have to question the bad reviews — were they even staying in the same hotel? Their experience doesn’t match ours at all. We were a party of 8 staying all inclusive, and staff throughout the hotel were fantastic — could never do enough for anyone. Special mention to Miguel and his towel-policing team, the activity team, bar staff (all over the hotel), reception, housekeeping and the restaurant staff. The only time we saw people getting frustrated was those arriving at 10:20am when breakfast closed at 10:30 (it reopens at 12pm for lunch) — sorry, but you’ve got to expect that, 5* or not, the world doesn’t revolve around you! Staff & service: Tireless — we never had an empty glass or a dirty table or lack of a smile at mealtimes. I expect if you’re rude, then you can’t expect to always receive service with a smile - they are human not robots and I assume will only take so much. Sunbeds: Plenty available, policed before the 10am opening — unless you’re sat on it, your towel gets moved. Beds nearest the main pools/bars go first, as you’d expect. All inclusive: As all-inclusive as any other 5* hotel. Sweets are available at meal times, and extras purchasable with premium branded ice creams in a hut by the pool ( as with 99.9% of hotels) or scooped ice cream are available for AI by the pool all day. Drinks are strong (we asked for less, not being big drinkers). Many premium cocktails carry a cost but are heavily discounted for all-inclusive guests, and this seems to only apply at the rooftop bar — plenty of other choice elsewhere, so no real excuse to complain. Pools: Lovely, not very deep, a nice initial chill after sunbathing in the heat that dissipates fast. Floor gets hot between pool and sunbeds — bring water shoes. Food: Delicious, fresh and varied. Fresh prawns, sometimes langoustine, crab, tuna steak, sole — freshly prepared. Salads were divine, pizza and pasta daily (fresh pasta station every evening), a different theme each night, and a serious dessert selection. Scrambled eggs and omelettes at breakfast were lush. Honestly can’t imagine anyone not finding something they like. Rooms: Super clean, well stocked with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Constructive feedback (raised directly with the hotel, who were receptive): • Room water, if used when housekeeping visits, should be replenished/re-chilled — though it arrived promptly whenever we asked. • Bedroom towels are a little worn, some with minor fraying, though still clean. • Air conditioning underperformed — dials showed 16°C on full fans, but the room never got that cool. Not unbearable, just not as cool as advertised, and I’d have liked it colder after weeks of UK heatwaves. None of this is a big complaint more constructive feedback and splitting hairs (less the aircon) — the hotel appreciated the feedback, have shared it with the relevant HODs to look into; we know these things take time. We also saw this hotel has equipment to help disabled guests in and out of the pools on request — my dad hired a wheelchair for getting around given how big the hotel is, and we were all really well looked after at all times no request was too big. We also had a very late flight home and were able to pay to extend one of our rooms for a later checkout, which was a huge help. A final word: the GF Gran Costa Adeje remains a family business — I believe the second generation is now leading as CEO — not a huge international corporate chain. They’re an SME committed to Canarian roots, bringing money, jobs and pride to the local area. Not many family-run businesses survive in the luxury hotel industry, so this deserves support. We’ll be back — it’s become a familiar, reliable spot for us. Well done to the whole team, and to anyone considering a stay: if you’re kind, polite and courteous, you’ll get that back. We didn’t experience a shred of rudeness — quite the opposite. Thanks again to all the staff and to the lovely guests we met whilst staying too. Our kids helped some smaller kids retrieve their glow toys from the tall trees one evening, saving tears and extra money being spent 😝
Been coming to the Gran since 2009 both as a couple (got engaged at the hotel) and now as a family. Have stayed in a variety of rooms but this time we were in the Royal Suite which was just wonderful. On arrival there was such a warm welcome at reception and we were able to go straight to our room. Other reviews have already provided the necessary details of the suite but it was super clean and the refurb is lovely without having lost the charm and space which the Gran offers. Stayed b&b and the best hotel breakfast is on offer with plenty of variety and beautifully presented, tasty food. I’m coeliac and just had to ask for gluten free croissant or toast and it was brought to the table with no worries. Also could request egg white omelette at the egg station without hassle. Food mostly labelled with allergens and also variety of dairy free milk freely available. Never had an issue getting a sun bed regardless of the time of day despite it being July summer holidays. As usual, wonderful drinks service with delicious cocktails at the bar hall. In terms of any recommendations these are very niche but perhaps would be good for the teen den to have more opening hours during the day. Also, would be nice in the suite if the glasses were changed as these were supplied at the start of the week and only us washing them in the bathroom sink was the only available option. Also, perhaps a few more facilities in the suite to warrant the upgrade too for instance better location of a socket for the kettle, perhaps a microwave but these are minor suggestions. We love this hotel and the countdown is on as booked for next July!!
Very clean Breakfast buffet was excellent and with everything anyone could wish for
Nothing
We had a lovely holiday in the GF Gran Hotel. Very important for my relaxing holiday , the staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Location, there is a beautiful beach just down the road and loads of shops all around. Hotel design is amazing. The . adults only pool and bar up top has some amazing views. We visited the cocktail bar after 5pm, that’s was very relaxing. We enjoyed are time more down by the main pools . Drinks were top brand labels. Bar staff did a great job. Entertainment was ok. A good variety of acts. The gym was very good and I used it every day. The activities during the day were a bit quiet. I ended up playing darts with just the two new guys. I think people like to see the boards with the activities for that day and not using the hotel app. Everything very clean and tidy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful . So breakfast was lovely, I had a freshly made omelette every morning and the coffee was great. Plenty to choose from. I found dinner in the evening a bit hit and miss. Either no labels to say what you were eating or in the wrong place. Show cooking was a bit of a joke. You were given enough to feed a mouse. You could have some fresh pasta made for you and ask for a variety of ingredients. That went down well. You won’t starve. If you have a curry event you then expect some of the food to actually taste of curry. The plants inside the hotel were great to see. The market over the road was a very popular event. Would I go back here again. Yes absolutely.
I’m writing this review on our last full day here. It is our third visit (twice were before the refit). We are not disappointed., the 10 days have flown, we are sad to leave. The rooms have been refurbished to a lovely standard. The bathrooms are very spacious with a great walk in shower. The fridge is great for keeping drinks and milk chilled. Perhaps just advertise it as a fridge rather than the confusing description of mini bar. That would stop people complaining that it isn’t stocked. The restaurant offers enough variety to satisfy even the fussiest eaters. With regards to the complaints of cold food; it’s all about planning the order you collect things. Queue for the cooked to order items first then quickly get your veg etc. We haven’t found the staff unpleasant like some people have mentioned. They have all been polite, helpful and quick to return any smile that is bestowed on them (maybe with the exception of one older lady on the pool bar, she’s rather abrupt). If you try to communicate with them in Spanish they are even more friendly. The evening entertainment is a little stale, we have seen the same acts on previous visits here. The animation team are very hardworking, trying their best to ensure you have a fun holiday. The no reserving sun beds policy works well because the hotel follow up on this. No need to get up at stupid o clock in the morning to get a sun bed. We went for breakfast at 8am then strolled out to a big selection of empty sun loungers. The pools were a pleasant temperature. The mini golf has been renewed, a big improvement. We have just had a call from reception asking if we needed an early breakfast tomorrow or a packed lunch or help with the cases which was a nice touch. The new Jungle bar is a lovely addition, so calm up there with great views. Two great barmen too. Looking forward to visiting this fantastic hotel again sometime.
Spent a week here from 13th July with my two daughters, aged 13 and 16. We stayed in two separate rooms, but they are a great size and I think we would have been fine in one. Beds very comfortable, and the bathroom is huge - the toilet is separated from the main bathroom with a door. Shower was good, although the water breached the rim of the shower tray every single time, which meant you end up with a slightly soggy bathmat! Air con seemed to be a bit off....I set it to 16 degrees, but it felt warmer than that - not as hot as outside, obviously, but not as cool as it could or should have been. I've since read that this was replaced as part of the refurb, so might need to be looked at. Housekeeping did a great job - other than the cleaner who knocked and then came in within seconds, despite me having the 'do not disturb' light on - I'm not sure who was more surprised, LOL!!! Plenty of entertainment for the kids - I generally appreciate a bit of peace on holiday, but accept that this is in short supply in July! My two enjoyed the aqua aerobics every day, plus the ping pong competitions, and the inflatables in the main pool. It all gets a bit loud from about noon to 3pm, but not unbearable. As others have mentioned, there are 'pool police' who come round removing towels and belongings that have been left to reserve sunbeds at around 0930am, so be warned. I actually really appreciated that - much less stressful if it's an even playing field. I thought the food was generally excellent, with a huge choice. Asian night was brilliant, and there was often a fab selection of seafood on offer at dinner time. It's a shame that there weren't any outdoor seating areas in the restaurant to speak of - part of being somewhere warm and sunny is the ability to eat outside. It does feel a little bit 'canteen-y', but I can forgive that for the quality of the food offering. As someone who doesn't eat dairy, I can confirm that a range of non-dairy milks are available, but you can forget having dessert other than sorbet :( I didn't encounter any rudeness from staff, and they all seemed to be working hard and efficiently. Overall, I think the hotel is excellent value for money, and is so conveniently located with the little shopping centre next door, plus the market across the road twice a week. Would we return? Probably!
We’ve been coming to GF Gran Costa Adeje for around 15 years now, probably our seventh stay, and there’s a reason we keep returning even after trying other hotels, including the big Lopesan resorts in Gran Canaria. What sets the Gran apart is simple: the staff. They genuinely seem pleased to see you, they’re polite, friendly, and consistently helpful. It makes such a difference. This trip was no exception. Every member of staff we dealt with was lovely (bar one slightly grumpy lady at the pool bar), and they couldn’t do enough for us. A small example: my little girl was stung by a wasp by the pool, and later that day the hotel sent a little Goofy soft toy and some sweets to our room. I’d mentioned the wasps to reception because I was worried they might be nesting, and they took it seriously and followed up. I have to mention Alessandra from Guest Relations because she is honestly one of the nicest, most genuinely caring people you’ll meet in a hotel. Any request we made, if it was possible, she sorted it. Room preferences, tea and coffee replenishment, little details… everything was handled with warmth and no fuss. This is exactly where the Gran outshines the Lopesan hotels: the personal touch. You feel looked after. This was our first visit since the refurbishment. Yes, it’s still an older hotel at heart, and you can see that in the design compared to somewhere like the Victoria down the road, but everything they do offer, they do well and consistently. The new bathrooms are great; I don’t miss the bath at all. The shower is powerful and perfect after a day in the sun. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bedding is lovely. I’ve never understood the complaints about tea and coffee. They don’t stock the rooms with loads of sachets people won’t use. I simply asked reception to note on my booking that I’d like it replenished daily, and it was. Sometimes you just need to ask politely and you get politeness back. Pool temperatures were lovely, sunbeds comfortable, and although I do miss being able to go up to the top pool, I completely understand it being adults only. Families still have plenty of space elsewhere. Food and drink on the all inclusive were absolutely fine. Most cocktails are included, and people forget that in the Canaries, all inclusive doesn’t mean absolutely everything like in some other countries. It’s the same setup as Gran Canaria. Breakfast remains the strongest meal; hot, varied, and consistently good. I did miss some of the old choices, like the pre‑prepared tortellini they used to offer, and I remember paella being available more often, but overall the food was plentiful and hot. Entertainment was mixed. We had two genuinely great nights with Johnny Circus and the disco, but the other evenings were more what you’d expect from a typical hotel programme. I wouldn’t stay in specifically for it, but with so much to do in the area, I can’t really fault them for that. If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be the €10 charge to use the electronic VR‑style bike in the gym. For a five‑star hotel, that felt a bit unnecessary. I also want to thank the staff at the new children’s slide park. They made me a chicken burger without cheese every single day, remembered me, and were just so kind. I’m already missing them, and they’ll know exactly who I am if you pass that message on. The area itself is safe, clean, and has loads to do nearby. It’s a great base for families. At the end of the day, we continue to return because the hotel gets the important things right: kindness, consistency, comfort, and staff who genuinely care. That’s what keeps people coming back, and it’s certainly what keeps us coming back.
I've been here 2 days and I want to rave about it already. The hotel is grand, spotless and the food and staff are fabulous. Certainly feels like a five star experience to me. I'm already looking to book for next year. The pools are clean there's plenty of space and entertainment throughout the day. I'd love to know how they provide this kind of service for the price we paid. The rooms are spaceous and to a very high standard. I feel like a queen. Highly recommend ❤️
Avoid room 341 - smells like food which comes through a vent from the kitchen. Realised after unpacked all clothes etc. then had to go through inconvenience of having to re-pack everything and unpack again!! Not even a sorry or complimentary bottle of wine by way of acknowledging interruption to my holiday. I Agree with comments that some staff rude, but not all. Ridiculous having to call reception for replenishment of water for room and the piece of paper you had to bring to breakfast was a pain in the a*s 🙄.
Overall a good 10 nights at GF Gran Costa Adeji in June all inclusive This hotel is pretty big therefore plenty of walking from rooms to the restaurant/ pool etc. A bit disappointed with the ‘all inclusive’. Bottom line it isn’t all inclusive, only the most basic beer out of the lager was included and none branded spirits, only scoop ice cream included and not ice lollies etc The staff do obviously work hard but they often appeared fed up with their monotonous tasks of making drinks etc and it does show when they greet you and the look they give you. It was like a chore ordering drinks around the pool, when I’m thirsty and want water plus a soft drink it’s multiple trips because they will only serve small cups each time. The water in the room is a joke… they do not automatically restock it daily, therefore you have to ring room service and they are rude and lie. They say they’ll drop it off and hours later nothing, then would hang up when I would call back. Again small bottles that are gone soon after they arrive and you’re miles away from the bar or a shop. This hotel definitely needs to improve the efficiency of water in the hotel room which is a basic need. Plenty of options in the buffet restaurant. One evening I was given a chicken skewer off the hot grill and realised after biting in to it that it was raw which is unacceptable but reception said they passed on comments to the kitchen and I didn’t get ill. Pools were warm in June so can’t relate to the reviews moaning about cold pools. The rooms were refurbished last year so are similar to other hotels in the area. I didn’t enjoy any of the evening entertainment I thought it was terribly boring and mediocre compared to other places I’ve stayed. Melia Jardines around the corner had great entertainment so I know it’s not the area. Obviously difficult to please so many guests.
Fabulous hotel Good location Food was lovely one bad night that was the English one . Room spacious Comfy bed Complimentary toiletries Water provided every day on request The evening entertainment was good
Beautiful hotel. Cleanliness perfect. Evening entertainment good. Food poor especially on an evening. Service hit and miss found some of bar staff to be quite rude
My partner and I recently stayed here for a long weekend, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Our room was spacious, airy, and incredibly comfortable, with a tasteful, modern renovation that made it feel luxurious. We booked the all inclusive package and were pleasantly surprised to find that it included branded drinks. The food was fresh, of excellent quality, and there was a great variety available at every meal, so there was always something to suit everyone’s tastes. The dining areas were spotless, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. The pools were clean and perfect for cooling off in the hot weather. Despite the hotel being busy, there were always plenty of sun loungers available, no matter what time of day we headed to the pool. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, high quality holiday.
Loved our second stay here more than the first, One of my favourite all time hotels. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, great food and drinks (we where on all inclusive, but not all drinks are included) Great stay. Few points that could make this on of the best hotels - Poolside drinks service and ambiance music at the adult pool, The night time entertainment layout felt a little disjointed with odd viewing angles but the rest of it was all great.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this hotel didn’t let us down. A complementary bottle of fizz was delivered to our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Over the moon at this but the very next day we received another as it was my husband birthday. Everywhere was very clean. From the room to the pool area to the restaurant. The food was very good. The Asian & Mexican evenings were exceptional. The view of the sun rising over the magnificent mountains was the view from our room and visit to the “Jungle” the rooftop cocktail bar just as the sun was setting is a must. Entertainment was good but some could be better. But that’s my opinion. But what made the holiday was how ALL staff were pleasant, polite and professional. Would we go again. Definitely.
El horario del desayuno y la cena lo ampliaría media horita más . Por lo demás todo excelente.
Nada, la verdad .
So this was our first time back to the G F Gran since its refurbishment. Our previous two visits were fantastic, so we were really looking forward to getting back and seeing the new look. Unfortunately it was a let down. Now don't get me wrong, the new rooms were really nice, but have to say those and the new "Jungle Bar" roof top bar is about the only compliment I can give. Its seems like things have gone backwards. This time quite a few of the staff were rude, this was on the pool bar (one of the bar staff lads clicking his fingers at me and basically hating his life) and in the restaurant literally throwing the eggs onto my plate. There were other instances as well, but this definitely wasn't like this the first times we went. The foods gone right back as well, very poor compared to a couple of years ago, and no way 5 star quality. We only used it a couple of times then ended up eating out instead so a complete waste of money going all inclusive. One of the main reasons I booked years ago, and again now was the sunbed situation. There used to be pool staff in the mornings that would stop anyone reserving them with towels. This meant you could go for breakfast and still get a decent bed with no hassle, well thats stopped now. The best beds had towels on them way before the restaurant even opened which meant you had to try and get a bed further away from the pool area, plus most people didn't return to the beds they'd reserved until the afternoon and that again never used to happen. This really does annoy me hence one of the reason we won't return. We were all inclusive, but the room had no bath robes (it took us 3 attempts to get them) The mini bar was empty no water or anything. No iron (apparently theres only a few for the whole hotel) and to top it off we had screaming babies in the room next to us. Two of the lifts were out of order, now we like to get our steps and stairs in through the day (we were on the 5th floor) so not to big of a deal but when leaving it took an age to actually get one, then because only one was working it kept going up then back down. This was very frustrating. No we go to Costa Adeje 3 times a year and we actually had the G F booked again for November but I cancelled that while we were there and changed to a different hotel. For the prices they charge and being a 5 star your stay and experience should be fantastic but unfortunately ours was a let down. Now while this was having the refurbishment we stayed at quite a few different 5 star hotels, and in my eyes the G F has some competition out there, so can't really afford to be letting people down, and reading a few of the reviews they aren't doing themselves any favours.
Here on a 2 week holiday The hotel is lovely but the restaurant staff are very rude and rush u every 2 minutes to leave the table and the restaurant manager is very rude
What a beautiful hotel, this was our second visit and sometimes you have expectations that you think might not be met, well not here. From the moment you check in to the time you leave everything was as you would expect from a top class hotel, though we were only B&B and the Breakfast was as good as I remember you name it was avaiable. The service from the Reception staff to room staff was second to none, the rooms were beautiful, clean and the facilities excellent. The pools were very clean and easily accessable, plentiful sunbeds and the lunchhtime staff were as ever. i would highly recommend this hotel as a holiday, was worth evry penny
Fantastic hotel with excellent facilities, staff who were friendly and welcoming. Transfers from the airport were easy and quick. Hotel is very clean, food was fantastic with so much choice, rooms were modern and spacious. Lots of daily activities to do and the hotel is close to shopping areas and a short walk to the seafront. Everywhere was clean and collecting daily towels for the sun loungers is an excellent idea. Word of caution, do not reserve sunbeds before 10am. Rightly so, the staff remove bags and towels on those sun loungers not occupied. There are ample loungers so no need to reserve them. The breakfast and evening meal options are vast, fresh and very well prepared. Plenty of choice for all tastes. Highly recommend this hotel and will be booking again.
The hotel itself is lovely as are the rooms. Unfortunately the all inclusive let the hotel down. The food and drink were average at best. Given this is a 5 star hotel and the price we paid we were really disappointed. There were so many drinks excluded from the all inclusive menu. There is a lovely new rooftop cocktail bar but only 2 cocktails to choose from on the all inclusive menu! It was the worst all inclusive resort I have been to in terms of exclusions. The choice in the all inclusive buffet was also limited.
Just got back from a week staying here with the whole family, 6 adults 3 little ones cannot fault the place. The staff went above and beyond in the restaurant for us and the food is amazing, the outside restaurant has so much choice of good food and the drinks are branded not watered down spirits, there’s a waterslide pool for the kids along with 2 other main pools and a rooftop pool for adults with a lovely view. Entertainment for the kids and adults, the hotel itself is immaculate clean and well presented, the rooms are clean and spacious and the location is perfect 10 minute walk to the beach and bars shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend this hotel we will be going back again, you get what you pay for well worth the money. Thankyou for making it the perfect holiday.
I am writing this, lying on my bed, at the end of a lovely relaxing week in this hotel. Highlights… Space!!! Loads of sun beds. Loads of seating for evening entertainment. Staff so friendly. CLEAN!! Pride - seats, sunbeds - all lined up to perfection when not in use. Says a lot about attitude. Food was varied and delicious. Restaurant was never crowded. Rooms were tidy and the maid service spot on. Beds comfy. Pillows great - usually my nemesis!! Quiet at night. The adults only pool area was a God send because around the main pools we were burdened by continuously screaming babies. Never seen so many babies at a hotel before. But once discovered the adult pool was tremendous with 4 inch thick mattresses. The comfiest ever! Downsides- very few. No à la carte restaurants. Not a biggy but noticed. The in-hotel shop shut at 830pm, usually before you get that urge for some confectionery. 🤣 I thought it was fine but my wife thought the air con could have been colder. The mini bar only had water in upon arrival and was never topped back up. We were all inclusive so not an issue but a bit cheap. Would heartily recommend and will probably return.
Stunning hotel! The room was very spacious for 3 adults with plenty of storage, the bathrobe and slippers were a great touch too. The food was very tasty and there was a different theme each night. Had no issues getting a sunlounger after breakfast due to not being allowed to reserve loungers, plenty to choose from too with most having a parasol. The pools were big and had the perfect temperature to cool down in the heat. Staff were very friendly in all areas of the hotel. Overall the hotel was absolutely gorgeous would definitely return here!
3rd time at this hotel and once again enjoyed our time .Staff all over the hotel are all very friendly and efficient.Dont listen to people complaining about food there’s so much choice for every taste in the main restaurant. We stayed all inclusive but not all food at the pool bar and drinks in the roof top cocktail bar are inclusive which is disappointing.Pool area is good and always loads of sun beds .Hotel is in a good location.
Overall we had a great holiday staying at the hotel. It is not really a 5* Hotel more like a 4* plus. It lacks the fineries one associates with 5* such as quality of Towels/Dressing Gowns/Bedding/Toiletries/Refreshments. That is not a gripe as I am stating the obvious. It is 5* in my book because of the staff who are really friendly and helpful. It is good if you are friendly and nice in the first place. The Hotel does a great buffet breakfast and tables are easy to find if you have not been shown to a table. Cooking staff tend not to chat because they are so busy cooking fresh food and serving staff are very friendly and efficient. Bar staff along with waiting staff become friendliee once they start to recognise use. Again be friendly and smile and you will 99% of the time get a smile or friendly 'hola'. I have heard people say the evening meals are samey and not as enjoyable but I can not comment as I ate only in the morning. Pool bar and snack restaurant provide lovely meals. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools. We as a couple preferred the adult pool on the roof - use it around lunchtime because the sun heats it up - feels chilly at first but then feels great if your skin feels hot after sunbathing. Nudista area is really private and is a suntrap- shower can help cool the skin down. The hotel is extremely clean and the plants everywhere helps one to keep cool when walking around. The hotel is very close to small restaurants, shopping malls etc. El Duque mall is for your designer clothes etc. Beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk downhill towards El Duque or Playa Fanabe. Village of La Caleta has 35 restaurants to suit all tastes. It is only a few Kms away and a taxi is about 6.30 Euros each way. Use the free bus for visit to Siam Mall.
Disappointing Stay – Not the 5-Star Experience I Expected This hotel has left a very bad taste in my mouth. It was my first stay here, and it will definitely be my last. Unfortunately, a number of encounters with staff and what appeared to be inconsistent application of hotel rules completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable holiday. One of my biggest concerns was the apparent double standards shown by some members of staff. The all-inclusive package was a major disappointment. My roommate was unable to travel, meaning her all-inclusive package went unused, yet I was not permitted to allow a family member to make use of it despite it already being paid for. While I understand policies are policies, there was no flexibility whatsoever. The situation became even more frustrating at the bar. On several occasions, I witnessed all-inclusive guests ordering multiple drinks and taking them away from the bar area. However, when I attempted to order a replacement drink because I did not like the one I had received, a waitress named Maria refused, stating "No, that is not possible.'' What made matters worse was that Maria then informed several other staff members about the situation and ensured I would not receive additional drinks without being charged. She also claimed that I did not have a credit card linked to my room, despite nobody ever requesting those details during check-in. After I went to reception and provided my card details, she continued to insist this was the issue before even checking the system. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and left me feeling singled out. What disappointed me most was Maria's attitude throughout the interaction. I found her manner to be unnecessarily forceful, dismissive and, at times, quite cheeky. Rather than listening to a reasonable explanation or attempting to resolve the issue professionally, she appeared more interested in enforcing her interpretation of the rules without any flexibility or consideration for the customer. The way she spoke to me felt confrontational and was not what I would expect from a member of staff working in a 5-star hotel. Sadly, this was not an isolated experience. The restaurant staff came across as unhelpful also. The dining arrangements were also frustrating. At breakfast, guests are expected to book lunch and dinner times in advance. If you later decide to dine after saying you wouldn't, or wish to change your chosen time, it seems to create a problem for the restaurant staff. Holidays should feel flexible and relaxing, not like you're managing appointments. For anyone with dietary requirements, gluten-free options are quite limited, and some meals were not of the standard I would expect from a hotel of this rating. The rooms were another letdown. Having stayed at GF Victoria previously, I found the accommodation here noticeably below the standard I expected. My room (195) had a broken lamp despite the hotel being relatively new, and the balcony overlooking the pool had a solid concrete wall, meaning there was virtually no view while sitting down. The hotel also felt strangely quiet and almost abandoned at night once you left the lobby area. Communication could also be challenging at times, as some staff members appeared to have a limited understanding of English, which occasionally made resolving issues more difficult. I visit Tenerife every year, sometimes twice a year, and have stayed in many hotels across the island. Sadly, this is not one I will ever return to. For a hotel marketed as a 5-star property, the inconsistent service, lack of flexibility, limited gluten-free options, and poor customer experience made this one of the most disappointing stays I have had in Tenerife. Overall, I left feeling frustrated rather than relaxed, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. One minor point I'd also like to add highlighting the hotels double standards was that I saw two guests bring a pizza into a public area of the hotel and sit at a table where they were greeted by bar staff and waiters without any issue being raised. However, hotel policy states that outside food should only be consumed in the privacy of your room. If rules exist, they should be applied consistently to everyone.
Definitely NOT a 5* Hotel. We've stayed at the GF Victoria and that was a 5*, this i would say, would be a 3* at best. Rooms have just been refurbished and are nice, they were cleaned daily and were spacious enough. Pool and outside areas are lovely, good comfy sun loungers too. The thing that lets this place down sadly were the staff, who were rude and some very ignorant, especially in the restaurant! They throw food onto your plates and never seem happy to serve you. Made to feel like you were begging for food! There was one i have to mention by name who was particularly rude her name was Marina, she would be standing on entry each time you enter the restaurant, you are given a silly piece of paper that you must take with you each visit to be checked off , if you didnt have it (which nobody took) she scolded you like a naughty school kid. Food was always cold and not great. Lived on rolls and cheese. Also charging you for water with you meal, but only when they felt like it, no consistency there either. I would not recommend, and will definitely not be returning to this hotel.
After lots of debating which hotels to stay, we weren’t dissatisfied with this Lovely hotel, we stayed here for 1 week as a family of four, in 2 rooms with bed and breakfast. Rooms were clean with plenty storage. The breakfast was really good with lots of choices. The sunbed situation at the pool was a treat turn up at anytime of day to get loungers. We didn’t watch the evening entertainment but did see it was well attended and hear the Abba tribute which sounded really good. The location is in a quiet area, but bus stops for local buses and Siam mall right outside, reception called for taxis they were outside the hotel by time you got to door. A short walk and you were at the beach. Would definitely stay here again and recommend for others.
The GF Gran, after its big refurbishment is beautiful, the staff are fantastic, the entertainment is...well...entertaining, the animation team are tireless, the pool area is huge with lots of sunbeds and the location is great, although it is up a big hill, but thats fine if youre mobile. I have very few complaints, but we do have a couple of things we missed, or found a bit annoying. The amount of cocktails available on the AI is pitiful. All the popular ones eg, Mojito have been taken off. The lack of salt and pepper on the table had us hunting for little sachets every meal, which they constantly move around to keep you on your toes. We really missed waiter service around the pool, and although the towel police are a fantastic idea, they need to be more consistent. On our last day the whole front row was taken with towels and the towel police never showed. Hopefully they got them the next day. Ha ha! Although there was loads of vacant sunbeds so no need to reserve, and it does make good entertainment when their towels get taken away. Sunbed reservation is a popular concept now, which in our experience works brilliantly and could be an idea to implement. We may have had a couple of niggles, but we will definately be back! Hopefully see you in Sept!
Just returned from an all inclusive nine night stay at the refurbished Gran Costa Adeje hotel, first visit since the refurbishment having stayed at the hotel on several occasions previously. Due to delay in flight arrival time once at the hotel in the early hours of the morning check in was quick and efficient. Bedrooms have been refurbished to a very high standard, as have the bathrooms. Walk in shower excellent. Cleanliness of the rooms excellent. However, the hotel seems to be following their 'usual' policy of inconsistency. Out of the nine nights we had a turn-down service twice. Despite notices in the lifts and around the pool stating it is forbidden to reserve sun loungers, there is no follow-up to this as in previous years when staff would walk around the pool before a certain time in the morning and remove any items that had been left on sun loungers, including personal items. This is one hotel where there are so many sun loungers that whatever time of day you go to the pool there is always plenty of available sunloungers. Pre-dinner drinks in the bar also followed the 'usual' policy of inconsistency. Sometimes nibbles in a small bowl would be supplied with the drinks other evenings just drinks alone. The major problem is although the hotel has been refurbished it doesn't appear to have extended to the lifts. Several lifts were out of order whilst we were there plus the down button on the lift nearest to our rooms suddenly stopped working. The adult only pool on the 6th floor is excellent and the had the warmest water of all the hotel pools. This could be due to the fact that it is a much shallower pool than the other pools. The sun umbrellas are in fixed positions and there is very little shade and on very hot days the umbrellas didn't really give enough shade. Also one evening when we were leaving the adult only pool, the attendant locked the gates behind us and when we went to the lift found it was out of order. As we couldn't get access to the pool to walk across to the lifts on the other side of the pool, this meant I had to walk down a flight of stairs to the 5th floor, walk across the length of the hotel to reach the opoosite set of lifts. This wouldn't be a problem for most people but I do have a problem with stairs, so was inconvenient for me. As other reviewers have said the hot food wasn't particularly hot and the pre-cooked food was quite often being re-presented on subsequent days. We found all the staff to be helpful and friendly. Despite criticisms above I'm sure this is a hotel we will be returning to.
We have just come back from 11 nights at GF Gran Costa Adeje. From the second we pulled up at the hotel we were taken aback by the grand entrance and this continued as we made our way through the hotel and to our room. The smell in the entrance every time we entered the hotel was really fresh and clean. We were really pleased with our room. The bathroom was huge with a double sink, a large shower and a spacious toilet with sliding partition door. The decor was modern and stylish and the beds were really comfy. We were left bottles of water on arrival and teq and coffee. The room had a fridge which was useful in storing cold drinks, water and a few cheeky beverages to relax with on an evening as we got ready or sat on the balcony after our little boy went to sleep. Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard and we could choose how frequently we wanted to have sheets and towels changed as the hotel operates an environmentally friendly service and will only change them when you indicate as instructed (really simple process)! The housekeeping lady was so friendly and always made a fuss of our little boy whenever she saw us. All other staff we encountered we also friendly and helpful! They couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay as good as it could be. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the selection was one of the best we have seen. Fresh fruit, juices, lots of different breads, pastries, pancakes, waffles, cakes, various hot selections, salads, cereals, seeds and dried fruits and two fabulous egg stations serving freshly made omelettes, poached eggs and fried eggs. Everything was labelled for allergens and there were different options of sealed products and yoghurts to cater for different dietary requirements. We could not fault the breakfast at all. We did read lots of negative reviews around all inclusive options for other meals which sadly we cannot comment on however we did note that on the pool restaurant lunch menu, the majority of different foods and drinks required additional charges for all inclusive guests. The poolside restaurant offered different foods, we often had the grilled chicken Ceasar salad which was lovely but service was often slow with only one person taking orders. On one occasion we were sat there for 15 minutes or so without an order being taken for even a drink. There were 6 different pools to offer. The back of the hotel had two pools (child splash park and then a second which was used for slides for old kids and adults. The main pool area housed two larger pools and a toddler splash pool. The larger pools were not very deep either but you could still easily swim in them. All pools were really clean and well maintained. There were lots of activities going on throughout the day for people to join in with should they wish. The final pool was on the rooftop which sadly we never got to experience as it was adults only but would make a nice change for those without children. There was so many sun loungers around the pool areas but sadly as with all hotels the sunbed hoggers were out in force reserving prime poolside seats before heading to breakfast or sitting fully clothed whilst the sun hadn’t even started to come out. Despite this, we never had a problem getting somewhere to sit. The hotel offered entertainment every evening including a kids disco. However we only observed these as we were passing. It seemed to be a hit as every evening lots of people would be sat watching the entertainment. Unfortauntely our little boy is not a fan of loud music so we never stuck around. The entertainment cannot be heard anywhere else in the hotel though which is good for those with little ones who will be sleeping. Whilst there were so many positives about our stay there were a few things that let the hotel down and in our opinion wouldn’t warrant the hotel having 5 stars. Whilst these things didn’t affect our stay we think it is only right to give a true and fair reflection. Tea and coffee was never replenished. We had to ask three times within one day for this to be delivered to our room. Even on asking at reception it wasn’t handed over, instead a request was made for it to be delivered by room service. Lifts were questionable. Where the main two lifts were, one of them was out of order for the full time we were here which meant at peak times you could be waiting several times to get in a lifted travelling between the 8 floors of the hotel. We personally had two encounters where we were nearly trapped in the lifts as the doors failed to open on one occasion and then the lift stopped between levels on another!! On our final day we were due to be picked up before breakfast started. We asked at reception if there was an option of getting breakfast early. We were informed a cold breakfast would be delivered to our room and we were asked for a suitable time for this to be delivered. Unfortunately this was never delivered which was a shame as we had a long day or travelling ahead of us and given we had been told a breakfast would be prepared we didn’t buy anything to take with us. Despite some of the niggles, we really enjoyed our stay at GF Gran. We feel that the positives really outweighed the negatives for us and we would definitely return to this hotel in the future when we come back to Tenerife.
Las instalaciones son espectaculares, no le falta de nada. El personal muy amable y atento.
La única pega es que está un poco alejado.
We have just returned from a lovely stay. The rooms were lovely and cleaned everyday. The staff entertainment were great with lots to do. We have a 9 and 13 year old and they had a great time. Food was lovely and lots to choose from. Reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.
The hotel itself was excellent, with beautiful facilities, spacious and spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and a great shower. The pool areas were particularly impressive; the main pool was heated, while the unheated pools were still enjoyable and refreshing in the warm weather. The water park areas were well maintained and ideal for families. There were always plenty of attentive lifeguards on duty, and it was easy to find sunbeds nearby to keep an eye on children while relaxing. I also appreciated that the hotel's no-reserving-sunbeds policy was actively enforced, despite some guests complaining when towels were removed. The rules were clearly signposted throughout the resort. The staff were outstanding—friendly, hardworking, and fantastic with children. The drinks selection was also very good. While some all-inclusive guests were unhappy about additional charges for certain drinks and food items, this was not an issue for us as half-board guests. The main disappointment was the food. For a five-star hotel, I expected a higher standard in both quality and presentation. Meals were often only lukewarm, and the dining experience felt chaotic at times, with noise and queues to enter the restaurant. Breakfast, however, was excellent and easily the best meal of the day. The location is another strong point, with several excellent restaurants and bars nearby, including those at the shopping centre next door, and many more just a 15-minute walk away by the beach. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return. However, I would choose bed and breakfast rather than half-board. If the hotel improved its food offering and dining experience, it would fully deserve its five-star rating.
We stayed in room 381 which had an amazing pool view. The room was clean and spacious and beds are comfortable. It's two singles pushed together for the main bed and a sofa bed for kids staying in the room. All very comfy. TV is huge and has the ability for you to add your Netflix account. If you're travelling with children, that can be helpful to get some cool down time before bed or in the heat. Food was great. The main restaurant is buffet but with a different theme every night. It's perfect for families and if you're not coming all inclusive there are plenty of restaurants nearby to try. Take away snacks at the pool are so-so but if you're willing to sit at the outdoor cafe bar, the food is made to order and better. In terms of entertainment, the team are fantastic. Big thanks to Bruno and Kevin, my son really loved his time in kids club and in the pool activities. Evening entertainment for adults was fine. What you'd expect from a resort. Lots of British at the hotel and the staff all speak English so not as much chance to practice my Spanish as I'd have liked. I think some extra activities such as a cookery course for local cuisine (that you can pay for) would be a nice addition but honestly I'm pushing it to try to think of ways it could have been better. Lovely stay and if I went anywhere twice I'd certainly consider coming again. There is a Facebook group of regular visitors which is helpful. I recommend Siam Park, a Mount Teidi trip and a boat trip to see whales. The events organiser in reception is reasonable priced
Nicely presented hotel, rooms are bright with lots of storage. Air conditioning was rubbish and does not work well at all (other guests experienced the same). Staff friendly and helpful. Entertainment was decent, the usual fare. Pools are clean and good to see the ‘no reserving sun beds’ being enforced (people’s stuff regularly taken away before 10am), however pool deck area was pretty dirty (just hosing down rather than washing it like they did at the GF Victoria). Food was decent, generally very tasty and not bland/beige - different theme every night. Unusual AI concept - lots of things not included. Getting water to the room was hard work - room service pretty ineffective - 6 times of asking and it finally arrived. Lifts are dodgy - we were trapped in one and others experienced the same. They clearly didn’t refurbish them nor the air conditioning. Overall a nice hotel with a few niggles to put right if they want people to think they are a 5*….
I returned from this wonderful hotel on the 1st May. Unfortunately, other commitments have delayed me writing this review until now. My partner and I are frequent visitors to the GF Gran Costa Adeje. We were due to be on holiday just after it opened after refurbishment in October 2025, but family illness meant we had to cancel our trip. Consequently, we were really looking forward to our stay. As always, GF Gran Costa Adeje was exceptional. The refurbishment is of a high quality, and the new rooms are fitted out to a very high standard. We were in room 1113 overlooking the pools and it was beautiful. For anyone who has not visited the hotel before, it is home to the most comfortable sunbeds ever!! It is so easy to fall asleep on them!! There are several pools around the hotel and there really is something for everyone. At this point, I’m going to mention the wonderful staff. They consistently go above and beyond for guests. My partner is Gluten Intolerant, and this is one of the best examples of gluten free service we have ever seen. My partner visited the reception desk every night and was able to order a gluten free lunch and dinner for the following day which was served to her by the staff as soon as we entered the restaurant. Marta on reception went above and beyond and we look forward to seeing her again when we return. In the restaurant, special mentions must be given to Jose Picanto and Besay whose Customer Service is second to none. The food service in this hotel really is wonderful. There are very large food counters on a buffet basis, again all clearly marked for those with food intolerances. If all else fails there is a pasta station where fresh pasta dishes are cooked in front of you. Absolutely superb. The entertainment is another strength of GF Gran Costa Adeje. The main stage has been moved in the recent refurbishment, and it is now located in a better place. One hint though, the speakers can be rather loud so it’s best to sit to one side!! Our next booking back to this lovely hotel will be being made shortly!!
Good bits... Nice clean hotel. Rooms made up every day. Nice pool areas. Good wifi. Nice staff. Nice rooms / bathrooms. Nice to see the no reserving sun beds rule being enforced but you'll always get one who think that rules don't apply to them even though the signs are in the lift and pool area. Not so good bits... Food very poor ( I have stayed in 3 to 4 star hotels with 5 star quality food , definitely not 5 star quality here) Whats going on with 1 of the lifts , its not been working since we arrived and was not working weeks before our visit , good luck in the Peak season. Air con needs looking as that was poor too. Quing up for meals , that could do with being looked into to speed things up. Would I stop here again?... yeah I probably would but I would go b+b because the food let's this place down , please take on board the reviews about the food and do something about it. NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL.
The staff were very good and remembered me.
The dining room
Rooms good. Definitely not 5star. Dining room - a cafeteria and very noisy. Probably good for families with young children. Beach down steep hill. Went to Lanzarote in March with Jet2 and stayed at H10 hotel. No comparison. Mel Jet2 staff member very helpful. Won’t be returning.
Beautiful hotel but you dont get "all inclusive" We paid for it but drinks aren't included. Only breakfast time and had a tab at the end to pay of yhe holiday as we had to buy our drinks at dinner and the evening. It was really shocking
Returned from 10 night stay ,6th time in this hotel, first time seems refurbishment. E mailed hotel to try and request same room or similar as previous visits ,reply said they would be hopeful to accommodate, unfortunately not the case room allocated was opposite side ,same floor, anyhow rooms are spruced up,nice with plenty cupboard space, kettle for making coffee or tea, which was ok,hotel.pool area still the same plenty of beds no issues ,entertainment was ok most nights, but the biggest let down was the food ,and drink ,pool.bar chicken was stringy with soggy crisps ,the restaurant at night had varied choice, but unfortunately the meat on occasions was tough the soup basic sweets were ok ,house wine awful, cocktails watery ,really feel standards have dropped ,would I stay again possibly but only bed,and breakfast.
Absolutely lovely hotel, everything was spot on A few downsides but no spoilers - The Gym!! Desperately needs air conditioning. And the beach is a good 15 minute walk. Apart from that! Staff, food, rooms everything is 5*
Das Hotel ist im Lobby. Riesig, die Zimmer sind hingegen klein und arg ausgestattet.
Das Frühstück entspricht nicht dem 5 Sternhotel
An excellent hotel with a great a choice of food and friendly staff. The hotel has a really nice pool area with plenty of comfy sun beds on offer. One of our highlights on holiday was going up to the Jungle Cocktail bar on the roof top. It’s a really nice chilling vibe and it’s clear to see that Claudia goes out her way to make sure you are welcome and have the best experience.
We love this hotel. It’s quality as soon as you walk through the door. Stunning lobby and very helpful and friendly staff from the cleaning staff, pool attendants, catering and reception staff. It is kept gorgeously clean and well maintained. The refurb of the spa did not negatively affect our time by the pool. The staff enforce the no reserve of sun beds rule which is a good-send. There are always many, many sun beds free so it doesn’t become a problem - this is a big bonus for us. We only stayed bed and breakfast and food was good with plenty of choice. Entertainment was okay but the highlight was The Three Tenors - very classy and fun. The room (standard) was lovely and large as was the bathroom. Lots of storage and wardrobe space. There was a broken elevator and one that had a broken button on floor 2 but that was only a niggle. My only recommendation would be to have small spoons or teaspoons next to yogurts as the spoons on the table are suitable for cereal but too large for small yogurt pots. A fantastic hotel.

We have just returned back from a week at the gf gran Rooms are lovely, housekeeping team do a brilliant job. We took our own tea and coffee after reading other reviews, so glad we did they never fill them up unusual for a 5 star hotel, check in was good very easy, The lifts are a pain because you have to go up or down depending which floor you want one lift only goes so far then you have to get in another one finally got used to it after a few days. But the biggest problem with the hotel like loads of other reviews is the food. First night went down to evening meal at 6.45 food was stone cold every one complaining so we thought we go down a bit later after that did improve a little bit but it's not good. Hotel needs to get that sorted every time you got certain food potatoes cauliflower they were never warm. Would we stay there again. No definitely not next time we in Costa adeje we staying in gf fannabe been before brilliant hotel
I know some people just want to know the basics, so for you guys its clean, relaxing and good food. For those that want to know more read on. We normally stay closer to the front, but this was a bargain, half board only cost us 80 quid for the week, and although we only had lunch it was plentiful, hot and varied, one day fresh cooked venison, one day steak, chicken even duck, all fresh and hot. Our room was on floor 1 no.149 , perfect for both pool.and restaurants. The room was large clean and well appointed, one gripe is that the shower is too open so splashes on the floor, nice beds and good quality linen, although the towels could be a bit fluffier. At the minute the hotel is 3/4 full but there are always beds available.....yes you still get the annoying early bed reserve crew(embarrassing that are UK) but on occasion the towel police turn up and are brutal(good lads) the sun beds are comfortable and the pools are nice, bit chilly even though heated, but once in your fine. Staff are great, what ever you ask for they provide. There is a nice pool on the roof too with beds, but when the sun is full it is a bit hot. There is a large kids area at the rear which is always quiet, if you want peace and dont mind a paddling pool! There is a great mall next door with shops, bars and restaurants, try the boardwalk bar , great staff and drinks with live music Tuesday and Friday. The one thing that may put you off, is that everything else is down a steep hill , the beach and majority of restaurants and walking back up is a bugger, we tend to walk towards the harbour then turn back up for a more gradual incline. Breakfast is great, plenty of choice and egg guy can poach a mean egg. Definitely a return hotel.
We have visited here numerous times over the years. First time since refurbishing. Rooms great Cleanliness great. Service great in restaurant and reception. Poolside restaurant average, when you are paying for food not all inclusive the offer should be better. One order was incomplete and they forgot one meal. But overall a very good experience, generally in the hotel. Only B&B so can’t comment on evening meal. Breakfast was great.
I had my first solo holiday abroad and know the area so decided to stay at the Gran. I was allocated a room with a lovely view. The room was very comfortable with lots of storage, and a wonderful shower. I went half board and changed evening meal for lunch. I am coeliac and had no problems with food and if you order 24 hours before they will make you items from gluten free menu but I had plenty even without this. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble, they were all friendly and smiling and really are an asset to this hotel.
First of all, just returned after 10 day stay All Inclusive holiday, at this so called 5 star rated hotel. The rooms are very nice after the refurb, and bathrooms very up to date, large and roomy hotel, bar area , entertainments etc, good. Pool areas very nice, although bottom pool can only be used by penguins, and polar bears due to water temperature. The pool snack bar, very limited, only serving, burgers, and hot dogs, and not a 5 star rating for either. The things that matter most on a AI holiday, ie food and drink, Drinking water room service, you have to ring reception on a daily basis to have fresh water delivered to your room in small cartons, never known that before anywhere, after visiting many many hotels over the years. Why have fridges that are not stocked on arrival. Which is a big no no, as far as we are concerned. Bearing in mind this is a 5star rated hotel, not a safari park. Food quality, pretty poor, in fact resulting in us eating out, rather than facing the mostly cold bland food served in the over chilled cold restaurant. The roof top cocktail bar, is a comfortable retreat to enjoy a drink with friends etc, but beware, although having paid for 5 star All Inclusive treatment, most cocktails are chargeable with a 30% reduction for all inclusive guests. The same rule applies in the a la carte restaurant, having the same 30% reduction to the very expensive basic meals being served there, to All Inclusive guests. Be prepared to have to spend heavily for services usually availible at other hotels within the All Inclusive holiday range. Will not be returning to this hotel.
Spent a brilliant 10 days here at the beginning of May. The Hotel is big but after a day or 2 easy to navigate. Everywhere is kept very clean and all the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The newly refurbished rooms are beautiful, big comfortable bed, big bathroom with great rainfall shower and plenty of towels. Good quality shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, handwash and body lotion are also provided. Loved the control panel for A/C and lights and also the red/green switch for cleaners. Our room on the 5th floor looked out to the mountains and was very quiet. We were HB and had no complaints about the food. Breakfast was brilliant & had everything you could possibly ask for. The egg lady was fantastic. I can also vouch for the pastries- they were amazing! Only thing that could make it better for me would be bigger cups/mugs for tea & coffee. Evening meal was great too with a different theme every night. Show cooking always had 2 fish & 2 meats freshly cooked to order in front of you. The fresh pasta station was fantastic with everything cooked to your individual taste. Pizza was also available every evening. The pools were cool but refreshing & loungers, brollies & tables were always available. Evening entertainment was fine. We had a late flight home & on the morning of our last day were able to book a courtesy room for a shower before leaving. All in all a hotel we would happily return to.
Well we really are repeat customers been here about 15 times over the years. This was our 1st visit since reopening after the renovations. The good points. Loved the room refurb thought it was tastefully done. The staff are all really helpfull and cheerfull. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The entertainment in the evening was improved with more current acts. The bad. Food was shocking, can never remember being so disappointed. Was on an all inc package and actually went out 3 night out of 7. Lack of attention to faults. Gents toilet near the buffet has 3 sinks.only 1 tap worked for the whole week and 1 toilet had the entire seat removed for the same time. Not 5star. Sadly we’re looking now at staying elsewhere the quality of the food every day being so awful was a game changer. You need some serious changes in La Finca restaurant to keep repeat customers.
We recently stayed at the GF Gran Costa Adeje as part of a large group, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience fell far short of what you expect from a 5‑star hotel. ✅ The Good. * The rooms were a good size, with plenty of space. * The beds were comfortable, and we slept well. * The pool facilities were excellent – definitely the highlight of the hotel. * The reception staff were fantastic – friendly, professional, and always helpful. * The bar staff in the Jungle Bar were utterly fantastic, with a really nice atmosphere and good service. ❌ The Negatives (and why this is not 5-star). 🍽️ Food – Shockingly Poor. The food was, without exaggeration, the biggest let-down of the entire stay. * Day after day it was the same bland, repetitive, uninspired slop. * There was virtually no variety, and what was offered lacked flavour, freshness, and quality, I mean chips at breakfast and no hash browns? * It felt like cheap canteen food, not anything close to a premium all-inclusive experience. It got so bad that for the last two days we gave up completely and ate out at local restaurants. The only reliably edible option was the breakfast pastries, which says everything. Even the pool food was barely any better, offering very limited options of similarly poor quality. For a so-called 5-star hotel, the food was honestly embarrassing. 🥤 All-Inclusive – Very Misleading We were on an all-inclusive package but: * Very little actually felt included. * Certain drinks (even basic things like iced coffee) were only available in specific bars. * This meant constantly being told “you can’t get that here” – which is frustrating and defeats the purpose of all-inclusive. It felt restrictive rather than convenient. 🚿 Room Issues: * The overhead shower head was next to useless, with barely more than a trickle of water, had to use the hand shower head instead which was awkward. * Basic daily comforts like water and milk were not reliably replenished. These are simple things that should be standard, especially at this level. 👥 Not Just Us – Consistent Across the Group We were travelling as a **large group**, and: * Everyone experienced the same issues. * This clearly wasn’t bad luck or isolated problems – it’s a systemic issue at the hotel. ❗ Final Verdict This hotel has some strong points: * Great pool area. * Good room size. * Excellent staff in certain areas. But these positives are completely overshadowed by: * Extremely poor food quality. * Weak all-inclusive offering. * Basic room and maintenance issues. It is simply not a 5-star experience by any reasonable standard. Unless the food and overall offering improve dramatically, we would not return or recommend it.
Excellent hotel. Superb service and very clean. Plenty of room to sit around which was very handy as the weather was atrocious the week we picked for the stag do. I would certainly go again.
Breakfast excellent
All good
We visited the GF. Gran a number of times but this was our first stay since the refurb. The hotel certainly has a fresher more modern feel to it, especially the rooms and the dining room, but there doesn’t appear to be many major upgrades to facilities. Rooms and showers are good, sunbeds comfy and service is fine. Food is ok, not amazing but probably fairly typical of standard all inclusive fayre. For us the selling feature is its price and location: decent hotel within walking distance of the beach, and not wildly expensive. Nothing to mown about, nothing to rave about.
We are heading home from a 10 night stay. We loved every minute of it, the hotel facilities are brillant, extremely clean and staff can't do enough for you. Rooms are bright and stylish, cleaned everyday and sheets changed everyday if you wanted. The shower is powerful, nothing worse than a weak shower. The pool area is stunning, plenty of sun loungers and you cant reserve beds which they do inforce. I would highly recommend staying here..Special shout out to Miguel from reception, such a friendly guy! We will definately be coming back again with our daughter.
La tranquilidad y el silencio
Visited the newly renovated Gran at Easter with my Family. Breakfast was excellent, new swimming pool is a great addition for kids. Rooms are looking great and staff work very hard to make your stay as good as possible. This is the third time we have stayed here and can’t wait to return.
Have stayed at this beautiful hotel many times before as I previously had really enjoyed the adult only roof terrace and pool area and great service entertainment and dining experience. However on this visit i’m sad to say did not meet my expectations for the following reasons. Firstly I had requested a high floor and quiet room we were given room 422 overlooking a newly installed pair of splash pools and slides for children the noise from both pools was very noticeable and i couldn’t sit on balcony read or have a drink in peace during the day secondly and the first time I have encountered this was the roof terrace and pool for adults was kept locked until 10am so people were queuing from 9 am to get the prime spots ! I refuse to queue on holiday as it’s too hot, demeaning and could potentially cause discord. Thirdly the main dining room has relaxed its rules in men’s clothing that they can wear shorts to dinner, I saw some men walking around in swim shorts and flip flops. I like to dress nicely for dinner and my partner also, So we felt the standards have been too lowered. We also noted that the food was not hot on some occasions and saw a person put their hand into food at the server to sample and eat while standing there! The staff work incredibly hard and we were treated very well I want to mention our waiter Besay in particular there was always something for us to eat both at breakfast and dinner. the entertainment was as good as ever and bar hall waiters very good Our room service was good and all of the staff and we’re lovely but I feel that this Hotel is now aiming for family’s at the expense of Adult only visitors and I didn’t enjoy this holiday like I have before so I’m not sure I will return
We stayed at this hotel previously just before they closed for renovation. Our stay at that time was fabulous and definitely 5 star. So when we booked again after the renovations we were expecting something really special. What a disappointment this has been. We booked this for our 40th Wedding Anniversary trip and so I contacted the hotel prior to arrival to let them know in the hope we might have been given a better room. I understand this cannot be guaranteed but the room we were given was on the second floor at the back of the hotel. Sitting on the balcony all you could see was the top of the rocks or the sky as the balcony has no railings or glass but just a small cut out of the stone wall. In order to see anything you had to stand and lean over the balcony. The second disappointment are the renovations. The rooms have been modernised but have had all the character removed. When we stayed last time I really felt as though we were in a 5 star room but this time was just an ordinary modernised room which, was also surprising to see, had not had the floor tiles in the main part of the room renewed so there were a lot of cracked tiles. The shower design is such that water runs out of the shower tray and into the room. To stop this you have to place the floor mat which then gets soaking so the next person to shower has to stand on a wet floor mat when leaving the shower. Very poor design. The lifts in the hotel were terrible with some totally out of action and others very intermittent. We were told by another guest that several people had been trapped in one of the lifts and had to be rescued. The service was quite hit and miss. We had to wait an hour for our cases to be brought to the room and a further several hours and 2 phone calls to get tea and coffee, despite being told it would arrive in 10 minutes. Some of the maids were brilliant while others were quite poor. On the first morning one of the bins was not emptied. The tables in the bar have QR Codes but you cannot order from these only see the menu. You then have to walk to the bar to order drinks. In summary I would say this hotel has slipped from its 5 star status to at most 4 star and, having briefly visited their sister hotel the GF Victoria, I would recommend booking there instead of the GF Gran.
This was our first time in the GF Gran Costa Adeje, althogh Tenerife is our go to holiday destination and we have been to other hotels around the island. We arrived at 10 pm and a good first impression on arrival at the hotel, quickly checked in by a very polite staff member (Juan) The hotel was spotlessly clean. First impressions of our room were great too, spacious room, bathroom with twin sinks, and a perfect walk in shower. Lovely big TV , fridge & everything you would expect! We were situated at the rear of the hotel which for the most part was quiet, we did have some close neibours that were quite loud at times late at night, however on closing the doors we didn't really hear them too much. We chose the bed and breakfast option as a change to our normal routine of all inc. Breakfast was great too, plenty of choice, all the usual health options, you name it it was there. There was a lady doing omlettes to order, who had a great system going. Polite, fast and efficient, this became my go to breakfast item! Breakfast staff were all very polite. My only area for improvement would be the breakfast coffee, i had a coffee with milk every morning, and this was so STRONG! Even after asking for extra hot milk. No real issue though. Spent many days by the pools, its great to see the no reserving sunbed rules being enforced, plenty of beds to go around, so no problem. Ate some days in the pool resurant, again polite staff, great food. The Duke shopping centre is a minute walk down the road, with a free Siam Mall / ParkBus stop right outside every half an hour, ( See posted times) Hyperdino supermarket there too. This hotel is ideally situated, close enough, to things, Del Duque beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. All staff very friendly, and happy to help you. There is nothing to dislike from our experience, and will be booking again, maybe next year. Well done GF Gran you were awesome, a great holiday...!
Definitely Not a 5 star Hotel. Me & my husband have just got back from stayed at this hotel . It has had Beautiful refurbishment, and cosmetically it certainly lives up to expectations. The overall look and feel of the hotel is very modern, clean, and very well presented. It is very well maintained, spacious, and a great place to relax. Good location, We also found that all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the all-inclusive food and drink offering were very disappointing and did not reflect a 5-star standard. The main restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, consistently fell short. Food was often left sitting cold, the variety was limited, also the quality was mediocre and frequently repeated daily . The snack bar was also disappointing, with many of the better options requiring an additional charge which defeats the purpose of an all-inclusive experience. Not allowed coffee in the dining room at lunch . Have to pay for ice lollies, No water bottles to top up throughout the day ,No cocktail bar where you could sample a good selection of cocktails with out paying extra . Most all inclusive drinks were pre mixed and very limited, . The roof top adult only pool was delightful, but again the drinks were limited , no waiters taking drink orders , only snacks at lunch were fruit salad or a boxed sandwich. Ice creams extra . Many people claiming the beds without ever using them . The room service was not included either . Most of the drink and food options were coming in at an extra cost. Overall, while the hotel looks fantastic and has some strong positives, the food and drink offering significantly detracts from the experience of a 5* luxury holiday . 4* max. Also we were told of some work going on and was told we would be moved away from any disruption! But 8.30am the drilling started and that was the end to our lie in !
We returned on Thursday after 10 nights at the Gran Costa Adeje. This was our 4 th visit to the hotel to celebrate my 80th birthday. The last time some years ago we recall saying the hotel was somewhat tired. The bathrooms had baths / overhead showers and the basins / taps looked well used 🥴 Well the hotel has certainly been made to wake up. The rooms are fantastic everything looks brand new , the bathrooms have walk In showers beautiful twin wash basins and fully tiled. So so comfortable. The staff everywhere in this hotel are a credit to the GF group from the staff who clean the bedrooms and leave them as the first day you arrived , restaurant, bars , waiters and reception staff all so courteous and helpful. It must be so difficult to cater in the restaurants for guests from over 430 rooms but I have to agree the food at times is somewhat lukewarm/cold , even the plates at times are cold. Perhaps a few microwaves could be installed in the restaurant to help solve this. I’ve stayed in hotels with microwaves for the guests and your food can be hot in a minute or so. The breakfast are excellent with food to cater for all. All in all a fabulous hotel with excellent friendly helpful staff. Out 5 th visit won’t be too long. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable.
We recently stayed at this hotel following its reported £40 million refurbishment, and cosmetically it certainly lives up to expectations. The overall look and feel of the hotel is modern, clean, and very well presented. The pool area in particular is excellent — well maintained, spacious, and a great place to relax. We also found the majority of staff to be friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the all-inclusive food offering was a major disappointment and did not reflect a 5-star standard. The main restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, consistently fell short. Food was often cold, the variety was limited, and the quality — particularly the meat — was poor and frequently tough. The snack bar was also disappointing, with many of the better options requiring an additional supplement, which defeats the purpose of an all-inclusive experience. Similarly, room service was not included, with all food options coming at an extra cost. Overall, while the hotel looks fantastic and has some strong positives, the food offering significantly detracts from the experience. With improvements to the dining quality and inclusivity, this hotel could truly match its 5-star ambitions.
Room was good bed was twin and not a double so surprised by that did not raise it as an issue. Cleaning of room was ok but did not replace some a items such as lotions / nd you had to request to get the sheets changed thought ta this would be done every two to three days
Was quite nice very was quite efficient etc don't think we will go again
WOW -what a team !!! The renovations are stunning ,rooms perfect I could not find one thing would change ,hotel is spotless ,rooftop pool a dream but what makes the place stand out and ahead of others ??? The staff -each and everyone of you are amazing ,friendly ,courteous -this hotel is like a home from home !! A big thank you as always!!
Fantastic location, variety of food, cleanliness , room design, Housekeeping twice a day! Good value for money lovely entertainment , enough chairs at the pool area, great clean pools been twice and definitely come back . Tanja Janitzky made our stay really special big thank you for your kindness.
Where do I begin with this hotel, think its best I start from the moment our coach pulled into the hotel driveway. The outside of the hotel looks wonderful me and my partner couldn't believe it was our hotel as didn't expect it to look as stunning as it did, when we entered the hotel we was greeted by a massive water fountain featured in the main lobby of the hotel and the lobby is massive in itself stretches from reception all the way to the other end of the hotel where the bar and entertainment is. There are multiple lifts to get to each section and floor of the hotel, during the day we have seen the hotel being kept clean at all times from the outside to the inside. The staff in each department are friendly and helpful and from what ive seen with other guest that had children then was brilliant with the children as well as the adults I cant fault the staff at all. The food has been really good each day with a selection to cater for everyone, each night has been a different theme for the evening meal which has been nice to try things I never would of tried back home. The cocktail drinks for all inclusive i feel is a small selection they have loads to choose from that is not included in being all inclusive but you pay less for them which is better than paying some of the prices. The swimming and lounge areas are massive with plenty of loungers to pick from depending on how close to the pools you want to be or how close you want to be to the bar the main 2 big pools I found wasnt as warm as I expected them to be but are fine if your looking to cool down from being in the sun to long. There is an adult only rooftop pool, bar and a jungle bar the adult only area is nice if your not wanting to be around children. If you have children on the 1st floor right at the back of the hotel there is a pool that has slides your not able to swim in that pool but will be able to sunbath as the children go down the slide multiple times. The room me and my partner was given was a nice size room it had 2 wardrobes which came in handy with the amount of stuff I took with me for a week, I found it was very clean upon arrival and maintained the cleanliness throught our stay towels was changed daily for us. I would happily pay the price we did to stay at the hotel again but stay longer as I felt a week wasn't long enough. Whislt we was away I celebrated my birthday and someone came upto the room and gave me a invitation to book a la carte and to get 2 free glasses of cava, 2 some soft of chocolate and a bottle of champagne. There is a little shopping centre right next to the hotel that is handy if your not all inclusive or if you want to buy some drinks and pop them in the mini fridge thats in your room, on a Thursday and Saturday there is a market opposite the shopping centre ill warn you now it gets busy so if you cant deal with crowded places then avoid or try and go when it opens as im not sure if it will be quieter first thing or even go an hour before it ends. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone if they was to ask me about somewhere to stay in tenerife as its definitely worth the money.
Great welcome, food excellent although only had breakfast, but something for everyone! Children’s pools warm, all areas very clean! Rooms were excellent
I recently stayed at GF Gran Costa Adeje and had a genuinely great experience. Travelling solo for the first time can feel a bit daunting but the team made it so easy from the start. I was made to feel comfortable straight away and that continued throughout the whole stay. The service really stood out. Everyone was approachable, attentive and professional, and it created such a relaxed atmosphere across the hotel. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A special thank you to the young girl on reception who was incredibly kind and welcoming, and to the team for the room upgrade which I really appreciated. It was a lovely surprise and made the stay even better. Overall it was a very smooth and enjoyable experience and exactly what I needed at the time. I would happily return in the future.
Nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff, great cleaners. All in all very enjoyable experience
Can’t think of anything other than the spa was closed.
This us probably going to be the shortest review ever of mine..simply put.. no hassle at all! Arrived late however a lovely welcome at reception with a couple of tickets for free drinks! Such we partook in at the bar after very quickly freshening up Due to arriving late we managed to get a couple of sandwiches, drinks and crisps from a 24 hour shop..5 min walk .. go to the entrance and turn right.. The rooms are modern, Spacious and have all facilities you'd need.. or balcony had a fairly boring view but we barely spent any time in the room! Aircon worked well.. loved the shower..shower gel, shampoo, lotion all available in the bathroom Fridge adequate size for a few bottles! If you've never been to this hotel is huge.. still getting lost on the last day..not aided by some of the lifts not servicing all floors! Breakfast has everything you would want! Bacon, sausages, eggs, toasties, omelette, cheeses, cold meats, cereals, pastries.. the list goes on and on.. who ARE these people who didn't like the Breakfasts!!! Dining room usual canteeny style.. waiters bring coffee and tea..just ask for a pot for your tea..otherwise you'll only get a thimble full of hot water We went bed and breakfast..so no idea about anything else re food.. what i would say though is there are 100s of fabulous restaurants in costa adeje.. if you dont ever eat out during your stay your are really missing out.. Food and bars either really close in the local arcade 5 min walk or 10 mins to others Hotel facilities are lovely..swimming pools the hotel's jewel in its crown.. it was rubbish weather when we were there but still managed to swim in the roof top pool and the pool with the bridge..perfectly warm enough The hotel had loads of sunbeds so no idea why people reserve apart from entitlement..we never had a problem Adult rooftop is a great place for tranquility Can't comment on entertainment or evenings as we didn't stay in.. you really dont need to..most of the bars have live music On our last day you can book a courtesy room for half an hour to shower etc..just book early as not loads of slots..towels provided in the room We would definitely go back just not in rainy March!
The staff were absolutely lovely, the food was fantastic and the hotel was very clean
There was nowhere nice to sit after dinner. It felt like an airport lounge. Our room was so noisy and was facing a main road. I wish we’d asked for a pool view. There is nowhere outside to sit at dinner
We’re on our last day here at GF Gran and we’ve had a good stay. Check in was simple and efficient. Nice welcome drink on arrival. Staff all very friendly. We had two superior rooms which are a good size and comfortable. Nice beds. Nice sea views. Breakfast was pretty good. Pretty repetitive and some of the items were cold and not great quality but there’s plenty to choose from. Omelette station was good. Never had an issue with sunbeds. There’s loads. But they do come round before 10am and if you’re not sat there they take your stuff away and leave them free. Adults only area upstairs is nice and very relaxing, and it has a pool too. Pools are nice although a little chilly but understandable for time of year. Location is good. Plenty nearby and maybe a 10min walk To the beach although it’s all uphill on the way back. Taxis are cost effective enough and they arrive literally in seconds after reception requesting them. Very quick. Overall it was nice but having stayed at GF Victoria it’s nowhere near the same level. But it’s definitely a step up from GF Isabel which is just around the corner. Would we stay again, probably not. We’d pay the extra to stay at Victoria but overall it was pretty good.
A large resort hotel which we chose for a short break. Our original was cancelled due to problems in the Gulf. The resort offered plenty for the family in terms of facilities. The site and rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The staff were professional if a little brusque at times even patronising. Sadly the pools were freezing not sure why other than the heating if there was any wasn't working. This was a pity as so many families centred their activity around the pools. The adult only pool on the 6th floor whilst cold was not as bad. The area was an oasis of peace which we appreciated. We had half board with buffet breakfast and dinner. The choice was immense. We found breakfast was good but struggled with the themed options at dinner, not to our taste. Others would be fine. Due to the number of guests the restaurant is more of a canteen and not really somewhere to linger. Q Why is water provided at breakfast but spring water is sold at Dinner (disappointing) We suffered with internet, tv and room telephone issues during our stay and the team member who investigated the problem informed us that it was a router issue in the building and a contractor would visit to rectify. The receptionist when asked for progress report told us there was no problem! Maybe we made it up. If you visit later in the year then any teething issues should be ironed out and you will have an enjoyable family holiday.
