Volveremos seguro .

I stayed at the GF Victoria for a week with family. The hotel is situated close to the beach and is a short walk to restaurants, bars, & other amenities. The hotel is excellent. Modern in design, well laid out with 2 excellent family pool areas & is kept extremely clean. It also has a small water park & other sporting options such as paddle, table tennis, & a surfing pool to name a few. Every single member of staff was friendly and took the time to greet you in meeting. The pool side staff & sky bar staff were excellent and attentive. And the maid did a fantastic job cleaning our room. As we arrived we were welcomed by Nico. Very friendly and escorted us straight to reception. Our room wasn't quite ready but we were offered a room to get changed in so we could use the pools if we wished. The booking in was efficient but provided my only slight negative of our stay. Having stayed in many 5* establishments it is nice to be greeted with a welcome drink as part of the check-in procedure. Here however, there was a brief mention of the fact you could attend the bar and you would receive one. It felt as if they couldn't be bothered & that they'd of had a result if we didn't claim it. That said we did accept the gesture and had a nice cold drink after our journey. If only they provided it immediately upon arrival I wouldn't have had any negative at all. We stayed B&B. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Even English bacon & sausage on offer as well as local cuisine. Smoothies, fresh fruit, and array of juices, cereal, toasties, and an excellent egg station. There were always sunbeds available & towels available for use throughout the day. The rooms are on the small side but very comfortable. We had a room with 2 bathrooms which was brilliant so our 15 year old had her own time and space to get ready to go out of an evening. We ate out each night so cannot comment on any of the restaurants available within the hotel. We were however nicely surprised by the pool side food & drink value. It made a refreshing change that a family could eat & drink & not feel like they were being ripped off. Great value indeed. There is probably so much more to say about this hotel but I'd highly recommend you just go and find out for yourselves as its a brilliant hotel & experience in my opinion. But I will add the adults each get a free hour in the spa. Regardless of my slight negative I would give this hotel 10/10. I would have no hesitation in returning should I ever visit Costa Adeje again in the future. And a final sign off is the view from the sky bar. What a fantastic place to sit and unwind. Mountains to the rear & the ocean to the front. What more could you wish for......
Decent hotel, nice big suite style rooms with separate lounge and an extra bathroom, which works well if you are sharing with your kids, or like to put all your kids in one room and don’t want to squash them. Very large maze like layout which I didn’t mind. Breakfast was large and reasonably good with no queueing. Pool areas huge and while the upper pool tended to be busier we didn’t have an issue getting beds, but preferred the lower pool which is slightly quieter. There is a big mall right across the road with a couple of restaurants for lunch and a supermarket. Entertainment was typical eclectic Tenerife after dinner shows and we also went across the road to the hotel opposite to watch their entertainment and have drinks which was fun too. Didn’t eat dinner in hotel so can’t comment- always walked down the coast. Two minor faults. Firstly turn down service actually happening was slightly hit and miss which seemed odd given we didn’t go out particularly late for dinner. Also they have a real standing water problem around their upper pool. Literally deep puddles from early in the morning which you actually would have to walk round if you were wearing shoes. This makes no sense to me, because firstly it’s just a bit grim and lowers the tone of it, and secondly it’s actually dangerous if someone was to slip over. They have a load of lifeguard/security types round the pool who were very happy to spend all day blowing whistles at kids taking their inflatables to the wrong pool but no resource to pay someone to sweep/squeegee the water into a drain a couple of times a day. I really don’t understand why they don’t sort this. Also no handrail on the steep stairs between pools, even with the steps often wet with kids going up and down. Such a bizarre safety miss even for the canaries- what’s it going to cost to sort these things out, literally nothing for a large resort hotel. Anyway overall had a great time and would recommend.
Excellent hotel, perfectly located to nearby shops and beach. Hotel was immaculately clean and staff couldn’t do enough for you and were always approachable. Nice touch with the turn down service, delivering water and chocolates each evening and preparing the rooms for bedtime. Only piece of feedback would be to consider bottle refill station. The price of water in the hotel is quite expensive. There is a supermarket opposite in the downstairs of the shopping mall which sells 1.5litre bottles for less a euro. Overall a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to families and couples. Thank you GF Victoria, we will return in the future!
A well run, exceptionally clean and all round excellent family hotel. Our kids (ages 5 and 4) loved the kids club and had to be dragged away most days! Lucia and all the girls there do a fantastic job. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. The pools never seem too crowded, despite it being high season. The room (senior suite) is lovely but could do with more storage (a small issue). In terms of location, it’s close to lots of nice restaurants. We mostly ate outside of the hotel for dinner.
This is our 4th year at the hotel and in the main it is fantastic. The rooms are incredible. The facilities are great and the staff are all lovely albeit you don't make the relationships with them that you do in other places. However, that is due to the size and scale of the hotel. So what has prevented me from rating it 5*. Well firstly, the entertainment is a bit rubbish. It's not on for long and it's never the best. This is a minor inconvenience as some people won't even bother with it, but I've had better at worse hotels. Secondly though, and most importantly, there used to be a very stringent policy on not reserving sunbeds. This was a major reason for us rebooking. I am not one for sunbed wars. And those of you who will go down to the pool at 6am to reserve a spot have a special place in my hell. For the first couple of years, you could see staff going round, collecting towels (all provided by the hotel) off unused sunbeds. Meaning there was never a shortage. However the last couple of years, this is no longer done and it can be a nightmare to get a sunbed at any of the pools if you're not there early. Considering signage around the pool still states there is no reserving of sunbeds, it's frustrating that this is no longer enforced. Other than this, there are some signs of age, particularly around the "slides pool' but that didn't negatively affect my experience.
Perfect holidays at GF Victoria ! Everything was really nice: welcoming, beautiful and big bedroom, restaurant, pools, animation is amazing, all the staff is really top and nice. We really appreciated everything in the hotel! We'll come back for sure.
Excellent hotel. Great for families. Excellent location Every thing you would expect from a 5 star hotel. This was our second time at the GF Victoria Will definitely return.
Very helpful staff, We were not happy with the room location at first and we were moved on request the next day
Could have better entertainment of a night for adults
This is a lovely hotel, and we would definitely visit again. A friend recommended this hotel to us, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. I was a little concerned about visiting during the school summer holidays, but there was no sense of chaos. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, and the hotel manages busy periods exceptionally well. With so many different areas for guests to enjoy, it never felt overcrowded or detracted from our stay. The location is excellent, set in an upmarket area with lovely shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The beach is also just a 5–10 minute walk away. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The facilities are fantastic. Our daughter especially loved the surf pool and made the most of it almost every day. The entertainment team were excellent, with plenty of activities on offer throughout the day for those who wanted to join in. There was also a mini disco and evening shows every night, which were a great addition for families. The food and service were both of a consistently high standard. We chose to eat at the hotel for most of our stay, particularly enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the poolside restaurant in the evenings. My only minor criticism would be the lobby bar. The décor and furniture feel a little dated and have more of a conference lounge feel than a welcoming hotel bar, which perhaps explains why it was usually quite empty. We were travelling with two children, so we didn’t make use of the rooftop bar, but the lobby bar area is a lovely, bright space and would have been nice to enjoy a pre-dinner drink there if it had more of a vibe. Would recommend!
We traveled middle June as a family off 7 it my Father in law’s 80th birthday gift. The moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the concierge who brought us to the reception. When we walked into the Hotel we were greeted by reception staff who were very welcoming. We were shown our rooms which were overlooking the Entertainment area. They had a lovely package waiting for us off chocolates & fresh water. The room was exceptional and had everything you needed. Breakfast selection was excellent. Staff were helpful if you needed looking after if you had allergies. The pool on the 2nd floor had enough sun beds for everyone throughout the day. You could get towels every day at the pool station just return them when you’re finished. Kids loved the different activities at the pool the staff did a great service. The sea salt pool down below the main pool was perfect. The 5th Floor where the slides and other activities were great kept kids busy. There is activities at the hotel to enjoy ie paddle board, table tennis & much more. The Adults bar & pool is on a different level highly recommended. There is so much variety with this hotel and everyone that works at the hotel did a fantastic job in making sure guests are made feel like they’re at home. We are looking forward to returning to this amazing Hotel.
We recently stayed here with our autistic daughter, and it was one of the most supportive and comfortable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The hotel is on the pricier side, but the cost reflects the luxury, the amenities, and the consistently high standard of service. For us, the value was undeniable. The hotel layout is ideal for children who need quieter spaces to regulate. There are calm areas throughout, and our room was incredibly spacious, giving our daughter plenty of room to relax in comfort whenever she needed downtime. The quality of the furnishings, cleanliness, and daily service was noticeably higher‑end. She absolutely loved the kids’ club. The staff were amazing with her—patient, understanding, and genuinely engaging. She enjoyed it so much she wanted to go every single day, which has never happened anywhere else we’ve stayed. Their care and attentiveness felt far above standard family‑hotel service. We didn’t choose half board because we like exploring local restaurants, and having the flexibility to eat outside the buffet works best for our daughter. However, we did try the buffet one evening and the choice was outstanding—plenty of variety and great quality. We also ate at the hotel’s à la carte restaurant by the pool, which was lovely: quiet, relaxing, and perfect for a calmer meal. I’ve seen some reviews mention noise, but during our two‑week stay there were only two weddings, and both finished their music by 10pm. If it were every night it might be an issue, but it absolutely wasn’t our experience. The breakfast buffet can be busy, but that’s expected in a luxury family hotel. We asked to sit in quieter areas, and staff were always accommodating. The food was very good, especially for picky eaters—our daughter found all her usual home comforts. The activities are fantastic and all included: mini golf, tennis, ping pong, football, basketball, water slides, and varied daily entertainment. The gym is modern and well equipped, and the pools are heated—another luxury touch we appreciated. For parents needing a breather, the adult‑only pool and bar area is perfect. Great cocktails, nice wine, and attentive service whether you’re at your table or sunbed. There were always sunbeds available and as many fresh towels as you needed. The location is ideal—just a short 5‑minute walk to the beach, with shops right outside for essentials and plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are beautiful and genuinely designed for families: lots of space, separate bedrooms, balconies with outdoor seating, two bathrooms, and a kitchen area perfect for prepping snacks or warming bottles. Housekeeping was excellent, with daily cleaning and evening turndown service. Overall, while the hotel is more expensive than others we’ve stayed at, the quality of the amenities, the thoughtful design, and the exceptional service—especially for families with additional needs—make it absolutely worth it. We will definitely return.
We stayed at GF Victoria during the first week of the summer holidays, and what surprised us most was just how quiet and well organised everything was. Having travelled during school holidays before, I was expecting the usual battle for sunbeds, but there simply wasn’t one. The pool areas don’t open until 9:30am, and although some people would put their towels down before heading off for breakfast, there were still plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and tables available throughout the day. Even at lunchtime, when the main family pool was at its busiest, there were always beds available. One afternoon we went up to the water park on the fifth floor after lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find there were still plenty of sunbeds there too. It was so refreshing not to have to stress about finding somewhere to sit every day. The food was excellent with a huge amount of variety. The buffet changed theme each evening, and there were always fresh pasta dishes, freshly cooked meats and plenty of options for everyone. Breakfast was outstanding with so much choice. My boys absolutely loved the freshly made pancakes and waffles with unlimited Nutella! There were also chefs cooking omelettes and fried eggs to order, which was a lovely touch. Our room was spotless and was cleaned every morning without fail. In other hotels we’ve stayed in, housekeeping has sometimes been late in the day or occasionally missed altogether, so this was really appreciated. The housekeeping staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, happily bringing anything extra we needed. Fresh bottled water was replenished every evening, and there was always more than enough for the three of us. The location is excellent. I’d read a few reviews mentioning concerns about security because the hotel is open to the street, but honestly, I didn’t find this to be an issue at all. Reception was always well staffed, and the hotel is situated in a lovely, upmarket area opposite a high-end shopping centre, so we always felt perfectly safe. We didn’t venture far from the hotel because there was so much to enjoy there, apart from one evening stroll to the beach and a day trip to Playa Las Américas, which was only a short taxi ride away. Overall, we had an amazing holiday, and GF Victoria exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to every member of staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Costa Adeje.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for families. The hotel is modern, very clean, and well maintained throughout. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The food was very good, with plenty of choice and consistently good quality. The pool areas were spotless, with comfortable sun loungers and plenty of towels available. The adults-only Sky Bar was a lovely addition, offering great views, an infinity pool, and a relaxing atmosphere away from the busier areas. The staff were friendly, polite, and always happy to help. There was plenty to keep the children entertained throughout the day, with foam parties, inflatable pool slides, and water games. The hotel also catered for every age group with baby, mini, maxi, and teen clubs. The aquatic park was another highlight, featuring a couple of water slides, a splash area, a tennis court, a climbing area, mini golf, a multi-sports court, and even a surf pool. There really is something for everyone – you couldn’t ask for much more. We didn’t get the chance to try the BioSpa or the à la carte restaurant, but based on the rest of the hotel, I’m sure they would have been just as impressive. Overall, I honestly couldn’t fault the hotel. It exceeded our expectations and made for a brilliant holiday. We would definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Brilliant stay, lots of positives 1) the pools do not open until 930, meaning I can have breakfast with my family instead of needing to reserve sun beds as with other resorts 2) Gluten free is very good, everyday a fresh dish was prepared for my wife out back to remove the cross contamination risk. There is also a GF area with pre packaged items to choose from, the pastries per my wife were very good 3) The restaurant staff were awesome, my youngest has ARFID which means he only eats a few selected items so we bring our own food, one thing he does eat is strawberries so without asking the waiting staff would bring him a fresh bowl of strawberries. Nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted to make the stay great. 4) I cannot remember his name, but there is a chap who lived in Windsor for 10 years so his English is awesome, he took great care to explain the process for allergies, there is a separate kitchen with controlled access for only chefs to control any allergy orders, never seen this before, it’s class 5) Waterpark was brilliant 6) Room was good, clean and a good size 7) Entertainment was good, we had the carnival on our last night which was perfect We are back in May 27
This is our third time staying at GF Victoria in the past year! We normally do short 5 day breaks due to work schedules but treated ourselves to 10 nights this time. Everything has been perfect. Check in speedy and welcoming, staff all super friendly, everywhere is clean! Spa- so relaxing! I couldn’t believe there wasn’t anyone else in there. Food options in the buffet as always fantastic, we tried room service which was just as good and ate by the solarium pool at least 3 times which was great. Cocktails and beer perfect, the barman by the pool; I think is Miguel? Was efficient and always happy to have a chat with my husband. Teen club excellent too, we enjoyed pool and air hockey as well as some board games. This is the first time we tried the roof top terrace; a real treat. Excellent service and different drinks to try. Will be back next year for sure!!
We stayed at this hotel for a family holiday, the facilities for children are great however the rooms were a big let down. There wasn’t much space in the room itself, the bathroom quality and cleanliness was very poor, the shower didn’t drain properly, the fans didn’t work, there were ants, beds were very uncomfortable and flimsy. It just didn’t feel like 5*. The balcony was a decent size. In the restaurant (and everywhere else but reception) the staffs English was very poor and we quite often struggled to communicate. I was particularly annoyed that there was no water bottle refill stations anywhere as it felt very wasteful buying plastic water bottles all the time. (A small one by the pool will set you back 3.5€ plus tip!) The kids did enjoy the entertainment, slides and family pool. I think there was a lot more on offer for them that we didn’t even use. The food was alright for a buffet a little repetitive but that’s expected. Location wise it’s very convenient close to shops and can walk to the beach. All in all it wasn’t a terrible stay but we also won’t be coming back.
This was our sixth or possibly seventh stay at this hotel and we find it hard to see past it, albeit we have had great holidays elsewhere over the years. The hotel continues to provide a high quality experience and we loved our stay here this time as much as every other time. Our daughter would stay here every year if she could The rooms are all suites and a great size with two bathrooms, both fully stocked with full size bottles of Rituals products so no need to take shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Great for families having the two bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard, there is tons of wardrobe, bedroom and bathroom storage. One of the cupboards has a small kitchen sink, microwave, Nespresso machine, fridge and kettle concealed behind it with glasses and cups. The balconies are huge and either have garden or pool views with ample space. Always a lot going on in the hotel entertainment wise with plenty to do during the day, but it is not shoved in your face like other hotels with animation teams. We skipped the evening entertainment the past couple of years as felt we had seen it all before and, having been to some amazing hotels in Turkey in the past couple of years and seen the evening entertainment shows in those hotels, the GF falls down on this front. Most of the staff are friendly although, with the exception of Tomas and the female bar staff at the solarium pool, the other bar staff down at that pool are a bit sullen and not particularly friendly. Isn't a big deal though The only other thing I would recommend that needs to be sorted are the televisions. They are very temperamental and not just this year, we have found this in previous years too. Only one of the TVs in our room worked which wasn't an issue for us as we rarely used them other than to watch the odd World Cup match (the rest we watched down in the main hotel) but they should all work without issue and this seems to be a persistent issue as I have noted other reviewers mention this. The food and drink selection at breakfast is fantastic, so much choice. Despite it being a bit busy and chaotic on one of our days, probably due to us going a bit later, the staff manage everything well and relentlessly clear away dishes (with the help of the robot waiters ferrying plates back and forth). Prices in the hotel for drinks are not as high as you might expect for a hotel of this standard, albeit for soft drinks you are better buying at the shop in the Plaza Del Duque mall across the road if you are going to be drinking a lot of them. Would be nice to be able to use the Sky bar during the day but it remains adult only, even though, in the past when our daughter used the kids club and we could go to the rooftop, the bar was empty. I wonder whether they would consider, during the day, opening this up to maybe kids of around 11 and over who can be trusted to chill and behave rather than run about? Would allow more guests to make use of it On our last day I said to my daughter that we should maybe head up to the splash park in case we were never back at the hotel again. Don't worry about it mum, we will be, was her answer! That tells you all you need to know
We broke the budget this year to stay at the GF Victoria (bed and breakfast, the lower level of suite) and we are very glad we did. It is the best hotel we have stayed at outside of the UK. It is a short walk to countless restaurants and supermarkets, however at night it was extremely quiet and peaceful. The rooms were a good size, set up as we requested, and spotless. The daily cleaning service was such a luxury for a mum on holiday! The staff are without exception really lovely, making the experience really special for everyone. Please pass on extra thanks to all the team from us, because they really do make the hotel a truly lovely place to stay. The teen room was a great place for our older boys to safely have a little independence while the toddler and pre-schooler in our party attended the mini-disco every night! Breakfast was out of this world for choice and cleanliness. Sometimes buffets can get a bit rushed and scruffy but it always felt calm, tidy and well stocked whatever time we turned up. The pool areas were fantastic, I think being earlier than the UK school holidays helped as we never struggled for somewhere to sit, and the fresh towels every day on the poolside were another luxury touch I really enjoyed. The kids loved the slides, and the lifeguard at the top of the slides little jokes also made them smile. A big shout out to that staff member, so sorry I didn’t get his name. We managed to get an hour in the adult only roof top bar which was also fantastic, the service was so friendly and the view was beautiful at sunset. We had an hour in the family spa, which was a nice way to enjoy the spa experience with kids without spoiling a peaceful atmosphere for the other adults, a really great idea to have this on a resort! The entertainment was generally good, we don’t normally attend evening entertainment abroad but we ended up staying on after the mini disco. The band Gotra were very good at getting the crowd going, and the double act acrobats from Cuba were astoundingly talented. If we return to Tenerife in future I will genuinely struggle to stay anywhere else.
I stayed here for 10 days with my family, including our two young children, and unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel. It is extremely overpriced and, in our opinion, does not meet the standards of a five-star hotel. We decided to pay extra for the luxury this hotel promised, but regretted the decision almost as soon as we arrived. This was our fifth trip to Tenerife in recent years, and this was by far the most disappointing hotel we've stayed in. One of our first concerns was security. Anyone can walk in and out of the hotel, and there are no interior locks on the bedroom doors, meaning our toddler could easily open the door and wander out. As we visited in November, the entertainment appeared to have been significantly reduced. There were no outdoor evening shows, and the entertainment in the main bar usually finished by around 8:30pm. It would make much more sense for the live music to begin after dinner rather than during it. The indoor shows were underwhelming, and there was very little space for the children's mini disco. The children's play area was also disappointing, with several ride-on cars broken and unusable, and parts of the mini golf course in need of repair. These seem like relatively inexpensive issues that should be addressed. The pool areas themselves are attractive, but the layout is very inconvenient. The main swimming pool is on the second floor, while the children's splash park and slides are on the fifth floor, making it difficult for families to use both areas. There is also very little space to relax around the children's pool, which is directly overlooked by a busy road. The second-floor pool area frequently flooded, and throughout the day we never saw anyone clean or clear the standing water. The rooms are spacious but are in desperate need of modernisation. During our stay, the wardrobe door suddenly detached and fell onto my husband's forehead and shoulder, leaving him with a painful lump and headache for several days. He still has a scar on his shoulder from this. Considering how heavy the door was, it could easily have caused a serious injury to, or even killed, one of our young children. The hotel's response was simply an apology from Guest Relations, followed later by the offer of a complimentary drink at the bar. We did not feel this was an appropriate response to such a serious safety incident. Just a few days later, the bathroom in the room above flooded into ours, soaking our toiletries, makeup, hair straighteners and other belongings with dirty yellow water. We then had to pack up and move rooms at 10:45pm while caring for a six-month-old baby and a two-year-old, which was incredibly stressful. The restaurant was clean, and there was a reasonable variety of food at breakfast and dinner. However, once again, it was obvious that the November offering had been scaled back considerably, despite guests paying the same premium prices as during the peak summer season. The location is convenient, directly opposite the shopping centre and only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, restaurants and bars. There is also underground parking available if you hire a car. There were a few thoughtful touches, such as chocolates and bottled water left in the room each evening, along with complimentary tote bags and flip-flops (although all the flip-flops were far too large). However, these extras do not compensate for the hotel's shortcomings or justify its five-star rating. The Christmas decorations were also extremely disappointing and almost non-existent. Other nearby hotels looked far more festive, and the entertainment at Gran Tacande was clearly superior, as it could be heard most evenings from across the road. Some members of staff were excellent, particularly Cristian in the reception bar, who was always friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience with some staff in the -1 bar was much less positive, with Samuel in particular coming across as quite rude. Overall, this was a very disappointing family holiday. This was also the most expensive hotel we have ever stayed in while visiting Tenerife, making the experience even more frustrating. For the price charged, we expected a genuine five-star experience, but the hotel fell well short in several important areas. Sadly, we would not return or recommend it to others.
Pool facilities were great. No issues with breakfast seating at any time you arrived. Fantastic breakfast buffet catering for all sorts of dietary requirements.
Evening entertainment could have been better. Was in a very open space with little to no atmosphere
We have had a fantastic experience here. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 1 child (aged 10). We stayed in a senior suite, and found having the extra bit of space and 2 bathrooms so useful. I had seen previously some issues with insects and using the TV; our room was very clean, with cleaners in throughout the day, and we had no issues with insects. There is a guide in both sections of the room for how to use the remotes for the TVs. We stayed in room 246 which was perfect for us. It is on the 2nd floor of the hotel, facing onto the family pool with a garden terrace. Again, I had seen some reviews mentioning the garden rooms being dark; this was not the case for us. The garden is in shade until later in the afternoon but has lovely sun in the evening. The room did not feel at all dark. Staff, in the Maxi club and throughout the hotel, have been very attentive and so kind to my son. Maxi club staff learned his name quickly and made a fuss of him at his last session. My son loved the chocolate fountain at dinner, and staff went out of their way to prepare a bowl of strawberries although they were not out with other fruit. Generally at dinner staff made a fuss of him, learning his name and letting him pick where to sit. The slides and the surf pool were a big hit for us, as well as the treehouse. Lots of fun to be had! We took walks down to the beaches in the evening - a really beautiful coastline with lots of nice shops/cafes to stop in at. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!
Beautiful hotel, outstanding customer service and highest standard of cleanliness. The suites are fantastic for accommodating families, the balconies especially are huge. Breakfast was exceptional, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. We will return.
It was clean, loads to do for the kids, breakfast buffet was perfect. Late night entertainment was lovely.
Todo el conjunto,
Amazing hotel, perfect location for beaches and nightlife. Service from staff was excellent nothing was too much trouble, rooms super clean and fresh but also the quietist rooms I have ever stayed in. Pools and waterpark were great for kids too keep them entertained all day. Food was great and reasonably priced for the quality. Would defiantly return amazing holiday destination.
Loved it all rooms brilliant. Breakfast was super.
A wonderful hotel, great location, delicious fresh food, amazing facilities for kids, staff were all brilliant. A fantastic clean, well run hotel. 10 mins walk from beach, shops, restaurants etc. Easy access to loads of day trips. We went to Siam Park (amazing!), did snorkeling with turtles trip and a Medieval horse show (only ok). However, between us we had 5 rooms and despite engineers etc trying not one of the tvs in anyones rooms worked. They obviously have a serious issue with their providers. Only annoying as World Cup is on.

Myself and family are not long back from a week long stay in this hotel and to say it was horrendous is an extreme understatement. My family and I do Tenerife every year and have stayed in some 4 star hotels that are much better, cleaner, & kept to a much higher standard than this hotel and they also weren’t bug infested unlike this supposed “5 star hotel”. When we arrived at this hotel, the first thing that I noticed was an overpowering musty/damp smell followed by how dirty the bed linen/sheets were, they had ink marks that were consistent with bed bug fecal marks and when we woke up the following morning I noticed rusty coloured spotting dotted all over the linen on each bed, again consistent with bedbugs. Upon further inspection we then noticed every corner of the room was infested with termites and their larvae, they were eating away at all the wood in the room which as a result was rotting and falling away, not exactly giving 5 star hotel. We also noticed these termites had made their way into my baby’s suitcase - you should be able to leave your suitcase in your hotel room without it becoming infested. We called reception and asked to be moved to another room naively believing it was just an isolated incident and not all rooms would be infested, oh how was I wrong. The second room, just as bad. Every part of the floor crawling, every corner hundreds of them. Which tells me either the rooms aren’t being cleaned to a high standard or that the infestation is that bad even when cleaning these are still EVERYWHERE. Again, we were moved. This time we were put in a harmony suite and at 4am I woke up to bedbugs crawling on the bed. Feeling disgusted I left the room and sat in the reception from 4am cold, upset and wanting this nightmare to end. My family and I then booked a flight home which we decided to cancel due to jet2 pointing out the fact our luggage would need treated and out of fear of bringing these home, as well as not wanting to ruin our kids holiday we decided to see out the remaining few days we had left. The hotel agreed to treat and wash all our luggage, move us to a room that they claimed was “the owners suite” where no other guest is allowed to stay usually (I believe this is one of the many lies they told) and compensated us (likely in an attempt to keep us quiet). That night we all had to go out for dinner in our beachwear from that day because everything else we brought was being treated for bedbugs and washed. The following morning when our clothes came back every single thing had been shrunk to a fraction of the size it once was, my bikinis were the size of my 4 year old, my clothes the same. My 7 year olds clothes would’ve fit her 10 month old baby brother. As well as being shrunk around 80% of them were also damaged, my partners designer tops had the writing and designs washed off them, everything was bobbled and fraying (everything was brand new). Thousands of pounds worth of clothes, ruined. I spent that whole day crying in the room. 2 members of staff then came back and told us that they hadn’t shrunk our clothes and we were lying… so apparently I just brought 4 whole suitcases of clothing that were too small for all of us and ruined? I paid thousands for a hotel but then brought old ruined clothes that didn’t fit any of us? Make it make sense. The woman said if we were to claim hotel insurance we were to leave the thousands of pounds worth of stuff with them or else I could claim my own insurance. Of course I wasn’t leaving thousands of pounds worth of clothes with them when they had already robbed my family of thousands (I would rather be able to give them to charity). When we got home we tried to claim our insurance as the staff member suggested and the insurance asked for a report from the hotel confirming the laundry issue and they’ve point blank refused to give us one. So we are now at a complete loss. They’ve cost us THOUSANDS. Without a single ounce of remorse! - I would also like to add when we were sitting at the pool we got chatting to another family, the guy was COVERED in bedbug bites, all in clusters as you’d expect. He called reception as he also suspected bedbugs - he had never had anything like that before being in this hotel and the reception told him there had been no other reports of bedbugs which was a blatant lie considering they were at that point actively dealing with my family’s report of bedbugs. They’ve told so many lies to try stop the truth from coming out and took thousands from guest claiming they are a “5 star hotel” when they don’t even meet the hygiene standards of a 2 star. Disgusting.
The pools are convenient with children The water park is amazing and the water are warm The room is big
The food is very basic - nothing is spiced and no salads The area has nothing to offer by foot
Servicio de ludoteca de niños Baby Club. Servicio de preparación de pures para niños bajo encargo.
The best hotel for families, absolutely 5* in my opinion. The food is really high quality for 'buffet' style, we loved the breakfast selections! The facilities are outstanding, every single member of staff we encountered including all the hardworking cleaning staff were so friendly and polite, especially with our 1 year old son. Rooms are exceptional & location is perfect - do not miss a visit to del duque beach and that side of Adeje it is beautiful. Would highly recommend anyone with kids to visit this hotel & even without, we will definitely be back & are considering a short trip for our honeymoon child free so we can make use of the adult only facilities (which look fab!) Thank you GF Victoria for an unforgettable stay.
Todo en general
Nada
This was our returning year on year visit and this time was even better than the last. We were already aware of the rooms and facilities, but these were kept to a fantastic standard with housekeeping going above and beyond every time. Even during a busy period, there were always available spaces around the pools, with lifeguards always on hand. (we did witness one of the lifeguards having to jump into the pool to help a child and were incredibly impressed with the responsiveness). Food for breakfast and dinner at the buffet was equally impressive and seems to get better each year. Special mention goes to the Cucumber & Lime juice at breakfast which our fussy 3 year old was obsessed with. The animation team were all fantastic and our son really was able to get the full benefits of the amazing things they have available. All were brilliant, but special shout out for Olga who our son hasn't stopped talking about and refers to as his 'best friend'. It's easy to talk about facilities, food, etc. But the real benefit of GF Victoria is the 'vibe'. From staff, to guests, everyone is happy and friendly. This makes a massive impact. In addition to the fact that the whole property feels incredibly safe and secure. Nothing makes us happier than to arrive at the hotel and for our son to be confident, independent, and treat it as a second home. Can't wait to come again next year.
There are many positives to this hotel. Unfortunately for us our room / view from our balcony was not one of them.... The GF Victoria website provides some lovely looking pictures and a very appealing room description: "Beautiful views towards the sea, pool or garden, private terrace, luxury and all the amenities you and your family deserve. If you've chosen one of our Senior Suites, you are a lucky guest." As per attached photo I'm afraid our reality fell short of the expectations that had been set... Our frustration had been further increased by the TUI website (who we booked with) which specifically stated we would receive a pool view. The hotel confirmed upon check in that the TUI website was incorrect and that the room that had been allocated was all that was available. As someone who enjoys spending time on their balcony we requested a move to a more suitable room. Unfortunately we did not hear back from reception. Whilst there are many positives to the hotel, the reality is we would not have booked to stay based on the room we were allocated. We have since contacted TUI who acknowledged the error on their website and advised they will be updating their room description. This does however further add to our frustrations in that it confirms we did not receive the room that we booked....
Rien a redire Jusqu au départ ou l on nous a proposer de pouvoir ce doucher apres une journee piscine avant notre départ pour l aeroport
Rien
The hotel was so clean, rooms were big and very comfortable. Food was amazing, especially the pizza from the food truck. The kids pool was so warm. Even the larger family pools were never cold. Plenty of sunbeds any time of the day. Table service to sun loungers. Rooms cleaned and fresh towels daily.
Nothing.
Our third time stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend. Hotel is lovely and spotless clean. All staff extremely friendly whilst being professional. Rooms are all suited offering plenty of space. We were there with our daughter and our two small grandchildren ( 2&4). Our rooms were adjacent with lovely big balconies over looking what they call the garden. The boys could toddle between our two rooms via the balcony which was lovely. Breakfast buffet is excellent all very fresh with plenty of everything on offer. The restaurant is spacious, bright and spotless. Facilities for the children are excellent, all pools are well staffed with plenty of sun loungers, towels etc. Lunchtime food on offer is all cooked very fresh and reasonably priced. Service is quick and efficient. Hotel is situated in lovely part of adeje and it’s very easy to walk to a lovely beach and plenty of nice shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we would definitely return for a fourth visit.
Mjög fjölbreyttur, ferskur og góður morgunverður.
I am currently staying in this hotel rm 225 I will be happy to update this review if my experience changes. Over the last couple of years I have stayed in 2 of the ikos hotels and a 5 star in Lanzarote, comparing the GF Victoria to these it is clearly not a 5 star. The positives are the food is very very good and the location is nice being close to the beach, shop and restaurants, the service from staff has also been very good. One down side is the pool opens at 9.30 and there is a queue and then rush to the sunbeds but this doesn't stop people saving them because they just dump their things and then go to breakfast. It is difficult to get a spot around the family pool if you aren't there for 9.30. The pool also gets very crowded and a large amount of blow up rings and toys mean you will get bumped into. The smaller pool is not much better and being a funny shape of feels more cramped when you're in it. My main issue so far are the issues with the rooms I am with a toddler and a 3 month old baby and the shower room in our room is full of ants, the kitchen area is covered in mites or tiny ants and the main bathroom has what looks to be termites as there are bodies on the floor. This has been reported to the hotel but no action has been taken, I understand bugs are hard to get rid of but it's not something I expect to deal with in a 5 start hotel. Other issue is the sliding door between the rooms is extremely heavy and hard to open and close initially when close it reopens it's self which isn't convenient with two kids and nap time but this was rectified. Our hairdryer is also broken it has been reported but not fixed. We are on holiday with extended family and one member got stuff in the bathroom because the lock got stuck and the main door to one of the rooms is so heavy and stiff it is very hard for the occupant to open alone.
Just home from a 10 day stay at the GF Victoria. We stayed as a family of 4, including a toddler in the cot & 8 year old on a sofa bed. The reception staff were excellent to deal with and nothing was any bother. Huge selection at breakfast and again the staff were really accommodating to our needs. On a few occasions we ate from the food truck at floor 5 and it was delicious. Our toddler utilised the baby club daily. A big thank you to Mika & Beatriz, who were absolutely fabulous with him. He's not an easy toddler! Mika remembered him from our last stay and was able to recall some details we told her then, which I found very impressive. Our 8 year old used Maxi Club. Although it was VERY quiet, he loved all the attention he received from Samuel & Olga. Again, they remembered him from last year. He looked to go to the club every day. The cleaning staff did a great job in our suite and the turndown at night was very welcome. We ate outside the hotel every night. Just two comments to make...... 1. Every time we have stayed at the GF Victoria, we have had issues with our TV. This time, although eventually it did work, for a 5* hotel the offerings were disappointing. 2. I would love to return to the GF Victoria in November, but the prices are unaffordable. It would be great if a loyalty system was in place, etc. or if there were reservations personnel based on site. Obviously I get why they're not, but in other 5* hotels we have stayed in, by having a reservation personnel on site, allows you to negotiate within reason. Overall, another fabulous stay at the GF Victoria. All the staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you all.
We stayed in this hotel for ten nights at the start of May. We stayed in a standard suite for two adults and two children ages 7 and 9. The rooms were not hugely roomy once the sofa beds were made up for the children but the balcony was perfect for relaxing on. The room was maintained to a high standard throughout the stay, the housekeeping staff were wonderful and provided a turndown service in the evening along with fresh water and chocolates. The TV didn’t have a lot of English language channels but it is possible to stream Netflix and other streaming services, and with a change of AV input (using a small button on the bottom of the TV frame) it was possible to cast various other video services. We had brought a Firestick but there was no need for it. The breakfast buffet was very varied, and the food was really tasty. We were staying off-peak so it never felt busy but there was still lots of staff regardless. We opted for a bed & breakfast rate, so we only ate dinner a couple of times in the hotel’s Amaina restaurant which we’d recommend, though we did order poolside snacks for lunch from both their and the food truck on the 5th floor. The hotel spa is very reasonably priced, and as part of our package we received an hour in the spa for the adults which we availed of when the kids went to Maxi Club. We also booked an hour family package in the smaller private spa for the four of us which was a great experience for the kids. There are three pool areas accessible to families, including a small water park on the 5th floor. The lifeguards were excellent and really gave a sense of security for the smaller ones. On our last day one of the lifeguards jumped in the pool to help our youngest with some tips for swimming which was such a lovely thing to do, and a real personal touch. Perhaps because it was off peak, but we had no problem getting sun beds either. Our two boys loved the kids club (Maxi Club) and the staff running it were fantastic, and gave the boys a gift of a t-shirt and chocolates on their last day in the club. The adults-only Rooftop Bar was a great spot to relax away from the kids with fine views of the local area. We will be returning at our earliest convenience
Jól felszerelt szálloda, kedves, figyelmes személyzet. Szobákat naponta takarítják. Kiváló minőségű ételek, és az érzékenységekre is figyelnek, külön készítenek ételeket is igény szerint. Gyerekeseknek is nagyszerű választás, külön gyermek medencés részleg több csúszdával, számos programlehetőség. Minden este show.
Loved everything about this Hotel. Amazing for kids, the staff are incredible, the rooms are immaculate and beautiful 😍 The pools were fab. Salads at poolside restaurant were unreal. Location was amazing. Walking distance to beach and loads of restaurants Kids disco and mini club was amazing Couldn't praise this hotel enough

Fabulous family hotel resort. The highlights for us : Huge selection of fresh breakfast options, fresh fruit, smoothies, lots of eggs , omelettes ect, meats, fish. Pancakes, pastries and breads. Pools were fantastic, some were lively, some were quiet. The surf machine was a massive hit with our kids . Rooftop Pool and bar is a unique feature ( strictly over 18s) The complimentary spa hour was nice too. The piano entertainment was a really nice touch, the mixologist was fantastic and really friendly! The kids games room was well equipped and the evening entertainment was high energy. The staff at this hotel were exceptionally friendly and trained to a very high standard. This hotel is well situated for visiting bars/ restaurants in the area. I would recommend for families.
Run around from this hotel of you have possibly....
Everything....we arrived with our family, three minor children, a room was booked for 4 people, we wanted to pay extra for a 4 year old child, but no options were offered. We visited more than 1000 hotels, but we have never seen such crappy service anywhere. Thanks to the staff and especially the manager....
Jeden z lepszych hoteli w jakim byliśmy.
We arrived very late (due to those horrendous queues at the airport) and without asking we were immediately offered a meal. The dining room was closed but a table for two had already been set up with a nice meal and our own attentive waiter. I've never experienced that level of service anywhere else in the world, you usually get a shrug, sorry you're too late. Any time I had to go to Reception the staff were smiling and professional. The suites are great. the food is very good, there is always a wide variety so you will always find something. The Asian night was exceptionally tasty. After breakfast you really won't want anything else before dinner as again, there is greet selection, but being on holiday we indulged elsewhere for lunch. It's a wonderful hotel for young families. Ignore the comments about food in other reviews, they're exaggerated.
- good facilities, lots of pools and activities for kids - great location, near to the beach and restaurants
- Room wasn’t cleaned as often as would like. On some occasions towels weren’t replaced even when left in shower - Teen room was very underwhelming, charging to play pool and table football when this is an expensive hotel felt incongruent with 5 star hotel - We have a child with a severe bit allergy and the resturant experience was too lax. We asked for simple dishes (a simple fruit platter) that never turned up and in the end we took the risk with many dishes. We’ve had a much better experience in 3 star hotels
Lokalizacja hotelu
Excellent for small kids. Everything about it was great and we will be back!
Essen war qualitativ hochwertig, zentrale gute Lage, Personal sehr hilfsbereit, viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten, Padelplatz
This is a really lovely hotel and I completely recommend it to families with young children. We chose it for the facilities and location. Unfortunately the hotel shut most of the facilities during our stay (pools, football/basketball, courts etc) but on the two days we did use the pools I couldn't find anything to fault them by. Some reviews have said the food at the buffet was lukewarm but we never found this to be the case and we had HB for 6 nights. Lots of variety and very kid-friendly. The rooms are large (though a little dated) which was fortunate when nothing was open at the hotel. This leads me to my only grievance with the hotel. It was a struggle trying to find out what alternative/substitute activities had been set up in lieu of the pools/outdoor games. At one point, a band of parents had to convince the animation team to open the kids play areas and even then we have to take things into our hands a bit. Another thing that was extremely disappointing was the go-kart track. There was only one broken cart the whole time we were there. This was a huge selling point for us to begin with and I had even emailed with the hotel prior to booking as my son was extremely keen. Looking at other reviews it seems it's been this solo broken cart for a while. Whilst customer relations was reasonably quick in responding to me during our stay, they did not give us the information needed and we missed out on one small window of opportunity to use the pool in between rains (The pools get locked and guarded when weather is not ideal). There were a lot of leaks at the hotel but luckily they did not affect our room. What I would say is in good weather, this is a fantastic hotel but even then I would not give it five stars. If you are looking for 5 star Ikos, Lopesan Baobab or Melia Paradisus etc, this is not it. But if you are looking for 4 star, clean, kid-friendly fun and good food near local amenities, I would very much recommend this the GF Victoria.
We spent 4 days in GF Victoria & overall we were impressed. Centrally located in Adeje close to the beach, shops & restaurants it’s a great llocation. as for the hotel it’s clean, modern & the staff area really nice. Our room was spacious, comfy clean. We booked Bed & Breakfast for the 4 days and the breakfast had a huge selection catering for every need. Our son loved the kids area, the pool slides, football, tennis, table tennis & crazy golf all well kept & perfect for kids. Overall we had a great stay & will definitely be back.
It was our second stay, the hotel, staff and food etc were brilliant. Our only compliant is why have an adults only dining area, an adults only bar (Sky Bar is lovely) yet no adults only pool. There are two other fairly large pools geared to families.
El atendimiento
We stayed here as a couple for a week in mid-March. The hotel is very modern, with whitewashed walls and sadly lacks character, as it feels too clinical. There is no ‘wow’ as you enter the building. It is ideal for families with small kids and caters mainly around that group. This is definitely not the hotel choice for couples. We stayed while the kids were at school but we failed to consider families with kids under school age, which as it turned out represented about 90% of the clientele. As part of our stay, we got 1 hour free spa experience, but we left after about 40 mins as the water in the main jacuzzi area was lukewarm at best and the steam room was chilly and didn’t have enough steam in it. It’s a ‘bio spar’ which I guess uses an environmentally friendly heating method (which doesn’t work). We visited the rooftop bar for sundowners but realized that the sunset was obscured by the neighboring hotel (the Gran Tacande) so thereafter we went to the Tacande hotel rooftop bar for our sundowners. If we visit the area again we would stay at the Tacande as it’s much more suitable for couples and is better situated to reach the upscale restaurants along the oceanfront at the rear of the hotel. It also has a wow factor throughout and has much more character than its neighbour. The JOIA hotel next door would also be a good choice. We spent time in both hotels and they were both superior to ours. The best restaurant experience we had was at La Torre del Mirador along the upscale playa del duque promenade. It’s booked solid every night and needs reservations in advance. Long trousers are also required. On our last night we experienced the ‘Scandal’ dinner show which is held at the Victoria. The venue and the production quality is excellent and the athleticism of the performers is outstanding. Spoilt by the involvement of a drag queen and other men in high heels. Entertaining but basically soft porn. The food and drink served was good. Horses for courses, but it wasn’t our cup of tea.
Had a meal by the pool. Super restaurant, first class service. Spent three days on the loo. I think it was the octopus, squid? I complained but the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders. Don’t eat at the pool restaurant. Went to the nearby chemist and got some medification.
Absolute must go for families! They have everything you could want - heated pools, slides, surf machine, park, football court, mini golf, ping pong, tennis, climbing activities, indoor clubs, teen room for gaming, kids clubs, shows at night…. Everything!!! The breakfast is incredible and you can find something for every taste. They also have a kids part at breakfast where kids can play in an enclosed park. Absolute 10/10 for someone who’s been to Tenerife over 10 times over the last 20 years this is the best hotel by far. We did the family spa session also - a whole room and spa with a jacuzzi and sauna for a family - we had so much fun! We walked everywhere for dinner with walks ranging from 10-20 mins. With a 3 year old and 10 year old. Was a lovely walk. Lots to see and do on the way. Highly recommend welcome India (18 min walk), oriental slow boat (12 min walk), Harley’s (25 min walk), and if you want something a bit more fancy la Torre del mirador was lovely and an 8 min walk! Have the best time if you choose this hotel!
The location of the hotel is spot on and very convenient. I was travelling with my mum, sister and our children. There were two toddlers under 2 in the party. We had two rooms which we shared and made charges throughout our stay to. I had wanted to visit this hotel since I seen it being built - it looks exceptional from the outside. I have stayed in Royal Hideaway and Iberostar Anthelia and these were ultimate luxury - not having to ask for anything is what I expect of a 5 star hotel (let alone the "GL" title it gives itself). From entry, the hotel doesn't seem luxurious - but it is going down an eco friendly route so can forgive that. I was still impressed by the Rituals soaps which added a touch of luxury. On entry to our rooms, all seemed fine - there were foul smells from the bathrooms in both rooms but didn't report these as I felt it was just normal for some hotels abroad and a minor issue. The main problem I had during my stay was the baby steriliser which was provided. It was unhygienic and disgusting and would beyond acceptable in even a two star hotel. I emailed reception (did not receive a written reply) just arrived at my room to a new one which wasn't much better. I did receive a call from guest relations, who offered buffet meal - I explained the two rooms were under one party and they agreed to have them benefit. However, we did pay for the buffet one evening and it was underwhelming and chaotic. Not really what you want to sit amongst on holiday. I rejected this offer and asked if we could go to the pool restaurant as had some nice lunches there. As the day passed, I returned to my room after the pool - room cleaning had been and left the cushions as they were on the sofa scattered and not tidied and the bed pillows were also there untouched from the night before which is lazy and disappointing. The floor had marks left on it as did the table. It just wasn't the standard I have experienced at other five star hotels, and not to brag, I have been to many. I am upset at the way this was handled - I did not want financial compensation all I wanted was an acknowledgment and a small gesture like a bottle of wine would have been suffice but they made me feel bad because I was complaining. They eventually offered a discount on the room bill, as it was under one booking and the other offers for reimbursement were across the two rooms (and most charges were on my sisters room) but this was only for my room as the complaints came from me. When challenged it was ignored and even ignored by the hotel manager and I was told to take it up with Jet 2. The guest relations team accused me of lying about an experience within the restaurant and really was not understanding of the situation, especially something related to baby hygiene. Anyway a disappointing experience, I never take to trip advisor but the way this was handled was disgraceful and I am upset that I cannot return to the hotel with my husband and children as we had originally planned. Think twice before booking, especially if you are used to 5 star luxury. The entertainment is also aimed at kids - think magic shows. The children's play areas were limited outwith operating times of kids clubs which was inconvenient. This could have been a 5 star review had the hotel have held their hands up and handled the situation better which is upsetting.
This was our third visit and once again it was absolutely perfect for families. We came this year with our children now aged 2 and 4, and the hotel just gets it right for parents travelling with little ones. The food was impeccable throughout the stay, with plenty of choice and consistently high quality. One thing we always appreciate is that there are always sun chairs available, which makes relaxing with young kids so much easier. There is so much for children of all ages to enjoy. Our son tried the mini club for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. He went for three mornings in total and kept asking to go back! The team were fantastic with him, especially the little touches like Ice Cream Saturdays and giving him a free T-shirt on his last day, which he was so proud of. I had seen a few recent reviews mentioning cold pools, which worried me before we arrived, but honestly this wasn’t an issue for us at all. It’s a little brisk when you first get in, but once you’re in it’s lovely. Our kids had no problem with it and happily spent lots of time swimming. The weather was a bit mixed at times, but that’s Tenerife and it didn’t stop us enjoying the holiday. The hotel feels very safe with plenty of visible security, and the housekeeping team are beyond amazing. Fresh towels whenever you need them and everything kept spotless. As a busy working mum, it was such a treat to have nine days with absolutely no jobs to do. We could properly switch off and enjoy proper family time. We’re already looking forward to coming back and can’t wait to book again for next year!
Everything was outstanding, from the staff who welcomed us after our flight was cancelled and our airline left all passengers stranded without accommodation, to the restaurant and bar staff, porters and cleaners. The food deserves a special mention. We didn't have time to experience most of the facilities as we arrived late and left in the morning again but what we saw was faultless.
Nothing
You can only find tiny things to fault this hotel on so as since giving it 4.8 isn’t an option it has to be a 5 as anything else wouldn’t be fair. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Would highly recommend
This is our second time here, and as always, we're very pleased. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food is delicious, and the pools are warm. Congratulations on the quality.
Room excellent. Breakfast 5*. Staff @ Breakfast first class Very difficult couldn't have been more helpful
Entertainment. Very poor. Geared to young children Excellent facility for "Young Families"
Upon check-in I was initially given a significantly inferior room. I had booked a Senior Suite with sea view, but instead I was assigned a room overlooking the roof. On the roof there was a large screen installed and hundreds of chairs set up for a conference. After a long argument, during which I mentioned that I would file complaints and leave a negative review, it suddenly turned out that the room I had originally booked was in fact available. In addition, I was only able to check in at 15:30 instead of the promised 14:00, which is the hotel’s official check-in time.
I am writing this factual account to warn future guests of a major security breach during my stay at GF Victoria (Room 447). On my second night, an intruder entered my room and physically ripped the security safe off the wall, stealing it in its entirety along with our family's passports and valuables. Look at the photo where the safe was, what do you think? Was the safe properly secured to the wall in a 5-star luxury hotel?
Locatie ligt top.
First visit to this hotel . Have stayed in many hotels in Tenerife /Canaries and this is our favourite. The staff are all amazing from reception to restaurant staff and could not fault the service . The breakfast was excellent every day and although the hotel was very busy it did not feel too crowded . Highlights were the room , padel , surf simulator , games room , Amaina restaurant and cleanliness . Thankyou to all for a lovely holiday ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, easily 5 star. Clean, modern, excellent facilities, beautifully well appointed rooms with quality fittings and the breakfast is amazing. We stayed over half term and even though the hotel was nearly full, the rooms were very quiet at night. The staff were very professional and efficient.
Couldn’t get the TV’s to work but that was not a problem for us.
So we stayed here for the 1st time in Feb half term with my husband and 2 sons, 8 & 12. I echo every other review that praises the cleanliness and customer service. It really is 5 star. Hotel - it has an odd flow to it. It’s based on a hill so it’s tiered. It’s a bit of a maze learning which floor everything is on! Pools - there’s one on floor 1, another on floor 2 (for families), the flumes, splash park and surfing pool is on floor 5. You are allowed donut ring inflatables, but no lilo’s. You can buy inflatables in the hotel shop and they will blow it up for you. Lifeguards are very vigilant and I felt my kids were very safe. The adult only glass floor pool is tiny, it’s a gimmick. Plenty of sun beds and fresh beach towels each day. Rooms - are wonderful. Big beds, big balconies, nice little kitchenette with sink. Loads of freebies in the room! Kids get sweets, bubbles and colouring in book with crayons. Adults get slippers, flip flops and tote bag. We got chocolates and water each night at the turn down service. There are pumps of Rituals shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Hairdryer also works well. TV’s are for streaming from devices only. No channels whatsoever. Food - excellent, very fresh, big portions, lots of choice. We tried the food truck, the pool restaurant and the room service (as well as the usual buffet for breakfast & diner). If you order a bottle of wine for lunch/dinner and don’t drink it all, they will re-cork and add a tag with your room number so you can finish it another time. The breakfast has a wide variety. Omelettes cooked to order. Dinner has a theme each night although there wasn’t a Spanish night. I didn’t see paella once! Men and boys over 16 have to wear closed toe shoes. Shorts are fine. Location- lots of shopping malls nearby and beach a short 5 min walk away. For snacks go to the HiperDino Express, it’s cheaper. There’s also an Ale-Hop close by (like Flying Tiger). Market days are Thurs & Sat and it’s a very short walk up the hill. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend.
We generally had a nice time here but I do feel compelled to weigh in on the issue with the TVs. Each room has two and as per the previous comments we encountered significant problems. The one in the living area did not work at all during our week long stay, despite phoning down repeatedly to have someone come and fix it. That involved pulling it off the wall, pressing a reset button and waiting for it to unfreeze, which it did. For about half an hour before it froze again. The one in the bedroom worked better but again was prone to freezing up regularly. You can call down, they'd say they'll be up but that could mean in 10 minutes, 2 hours or the next day. That's no good when you want to relax in your room at night. The issue is that the TVs operate on Android so are streaming. This clearly causes huge issues that the hotel has no intention of fixing. On reflection, this meant we barely sat in the living area as if you wanted to watch the TV you had to be in the bedroom, so no point in having a suite at all. So to summarise, if it matters to you to be able to watch TV in your room, I'd avoid this hotel.
The hotel is wonderful, customer care, exemplary cleanliness, very good breakfast and coffee. The kids club is wonderful with lots of activities
My wife and I booked this hotel through Jet2 on a half board basis despite some negative reviews regarding the food quality of the evening meal. On the first night I chose a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium rare but it was served well done. The steak was half gristle and tough. My wife settled for luke warm pasta. On the second night I ordered lamb chops which were inedible and contained 75% bone. My wife struggled to find a main course that looked appetising. The following morning I complained to guest relations and indicated that we would not be having the evening meal in the hotel for the remaining five nights of our stay and I requested a refund of the 50 euros per person per night the hotel charges. I was informed that I needed to take this matter up with the Jet2 rep. which I did and we were offered a refund of £351 which we accepted. The hotel otherwise is fine........the suites are comfortable and our only complaint is the poor quality food of the main course at the evening meal which is hugely overpriced. DO NOT BOOK HALF BOARD AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!
This was our second time at the GF Victoria, and honestly I think I enjoyed it even more than the first time. There are truly luxurious hotels and there are hotels that are good for families, and I think that this place is the best combination of the two we've found. We've been lucky to stay in quite a few luxury hotels, both in Tenerife and other places like Gran Canaria, Cape Verde and Thailand, but nothing beats the GF Victoria. The staff were all incredible from start to finish; the rooms are beautiful and beautifully kept by the staff; the facilities are so clean and there's so much absolutely fantastic stuff for all ages; and the location is wonderful, in a really upmarket area, but still close to a lot of bars and restaurants both to the north (playa del duque) and south (playa Fañabé). Breakfast is amazing too, especially the lady making juices and smoothies to order. We didn't have dinner in the hotel this time, but we really enjoyed the Amaina restaurant the last time and Donaire is meant to be spectacular. All through the trip, the reception/concierge did everything to meet our requirements and requests, often going above and beyond. They even brought a birthday cake to my room on my big day, which hadn't been requested, but they must have made a note when copying my passport on checkin. It's these sort of small extras, in an already great hotel, that really push it over the top into being something special. It's not a cheap place, but to us, it was worth every penny. If/when we come back to Tenerife in future, we will without doubt be staying here. Couldn't possibly recommend it higher.
