The staff was excellent
A little tired.breakfast a little cold but plenty to choose from
I am leaving today and thought I would write this review I am with my 15yr old son. The hotel is amazing. Yes probably does need a little update but I haven't found anything to complain about. All so clean. Rooms:- i cant fault we had a fantastic view. Very clean and plenty of space. Yes it can be noisy at night from the entertainment but you are either enjoying it or wear ear plugs. Wardrobe plenty of space with hangers. A safe which I think is free though we didn't use. Beds so comfy I wanted to take mine home. I brought my own kettle and mugs but you can higher a kettle. Pool:- yes if you put pool towels down early and leave them they will take them and fold them and put on a chair. Which is fair. Still beds avaliable now and its 9.55am. You get free pool towels you can change everyday. The big pool the end by the shop is deep i cant touch the bottom. Steps going down. The other end is shallower. Another children's pool round the back. I never used this so cant comment. Pool I thought was warm enough definitely not cold. My son and I tended just to pop down to the pool for a swim then go to the rooftop. Which is for over 16yrs. Plenty of beds . 2 x plunge pools nice and refreshing with a bar. No snack bar. An area is closed off if you want to go nude. Food :- I have no complaints about the food. Something for everyone. Yes can get abit the same if your all inclusive. But at least you have a nice choice. We had a picnic made up one day as we were out. Just ask at reception. Drinks :- nice choice and good measures local drinks unless you want to pay. I never had to as I thought they all taste the same. Entertainment:- good entertainment for the children you could go by the pool and they do mini disco then something else. Or for a more chilled evening sit out the front where you have entertainment. The only thing is it can take awhile sometimes for someone to serve you. Waiters come and take your orders at the table. If you dont want to wait go upto the bar. Hotel and staff :- i cannot fault. All staff are very friendly and willing to help. The hotel itself is spotless . Area :- yes its on abit of a hill but close to the beach. Takes about 15mins to walk to puerto colon. The sea is nice and refreshing. Water showers to wash of the sand. If you have mobility issues you can always yet a single/twin scooter (everyone was using these) you can use electric scooters or get a taxi all very easy. Trips :- we went on a few trips. We did the:- Tuk tuk up to the mountains this takes about an hour and the views are amazing. Our guide was very nice.pickup outside the hotel Whale and dolphin watching. From puerto colon this is a 3hr trip. We saw loads and a turtle. But dont do of you get sea sick. Siam park is a must. We arrived at 8.30am. We got fast passes €38 each but so worth it. We managed to do everything. Got a taxi there but you can always get the free bus back. Para sailing was fantastic from puerto colon this is my 3rd time doing it and anyage can go. Crazy ufo I was the oldest and got bruises. Definitely one for people younger than me. But I did it. This is my 3rd time to tenerife and loved everytime. You won't be disappointed.
Last minute booking for myself, my partner and our two 17 year old daughters. Only stayed 5 days, all inclusive. Great holiday, and really decent hotel. Starting with the staff, everyone we spoke to was very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Reception, bars, cleaners, restaurant, they were a great bunch and a credit to the hotel. All inclusive we used for every meal, which is rare for us, we'd usually eat out at least a few times, but no need here. Plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It gets busy, but the team always found us a table, and the food was topped up as needed. Coffee was a bit crap from the machines, but you can get a much better one from the bar! My daughters used the snack bar most days, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips. Bars during the day were quick. AI did not include 'everything' which is pretty normal, but even the handful of cocktails that were included were made properly. During the evening, the bar at the front of the hotel generally had a singer outside, background music really. The bar then provides table service, good choices, and the staff did seem to come back to your table as the glasses were emptying. We didn't generally stay late here, and instead visited the bars on the front, about 5 mins walk away, its good night out, down there with live music etc. We did not look at any of the entertainment program that was on show each evening by the pool. Pools - the main pool has the same issue as so many places. Sun beds gone before breakfast. That was not an issue for us, as over 16's were allowed to use the rooftop solarium, which has a well stocked bar, 2 small pools. Plenty of space and sun-beds here. These pools could use a refurb, but done the job. We left the main pool for the families with younger kids, we've been there and done that, happy to have left them to it. Rooms were well cleaned daily, of decent size, and comfortable. We felt they were a little dated, and perhaps in need of a little modernisation. But more than suitable. The only downside is that the place, not just the rooms does feel a little like it needs some modernisation. That all said, it was good value for money, and we'd happily visit again. Costa Adeje, and this hotel provided a great holiday.
Nice entertainment nice workers pool is amazing
Not worth the money , no balls or lilos allowed in the pool, food rubbish, some of the staff were rude, couldn’t do anything without getting told off. we visit Tenerife a lot and this is probably the worst hotel we have stayed at we have stayed in cheaper better hotels in Tenerife than here. Do not waste your money to come here terrible.
Perfect location for going into.costa adeji family night life 5 minute walk down the hill if you want the beach, bars and restaurants on the front. Hotel not best looking from outside(concrete beige colour) but its got everything you need from getting pool towels provided for when your round the pool and then you just hand in at end of day and get new for next day. Food in the restaurant is different every night and you got a good selection as well as sweet selection for.the kids with ice cream etc. Excursions there is somebody in the lobby and they are really helpful if wanting to go siam park or whale watching very helpful. The animation team are also brillant with the kids and activities are on every other hour. Theres a football pitch and play area , hotel will get you a taxi and theres a taxi rank over road and down hill. Theres a supermarket over the road and down the escalators if you come half board and theres loads of shops for your every need as well as excursion places. If you come and out of hotel and turn right go down hill you are 5 mins from all the beachfront where all bars and restaurants etc are. Drink on tap.is dorada which is not bad beer and theres selection of cocktails you get on all inclusive and burgers ,pizzas and chips around pool and slushes. Also if you go.over the road on thursdays and.sundays there is a market with all kinds of clothes and stuff been sold recommend going bit later on as does get busy first thing. The hotel itself is a bit dated but its very clean and the rooms are big enough for families with fridge etc and tv Entertainment on night is ok as well.michael.jackson tributes, circus acts. There is 2 pools i used and third on roof but that is for adults only. Main pool and kids pool around the back where the football pitch is. I would recommend this hotel as right on the money location wise and if you want a family holiday with everything you need without breaking bank brill hotel.
I came here as a party of 10 and I have to say I wasn’t that impressed. The hotel is very clean etc, albeit extremely dated but I believe it is getting refurbished next year. We had no shampoo from day 2 and when the room was clean it wasn’t refilled. Not an issue I thought I’ll pop to reception and they took my room number and would get someone to replace. Went up that night and nothing there. Luckily family members next door shared with us by pouring some in a glass. For the 8 remaining days we were never given any shampoo….. I thought it would be a basic thing to top up. Food was quite average I thought. Breakfast was great and the omelettes and pancakes lovely. But lunch and dinner I struggled to find things to eat, the labelling was often all wrong too. What was labelled cheese bites were actually fish so if someone had an allergy they wouldn’t have known. Drinks service in the restaurant there were 2 occasions we ordered, but the drinks never came! At evening entertainment it is table service and most nights we waited over 30 minutes to be served and often our order came incomplete or wrong. There was an incident in the baby pool where a child was in difficulty and the lifeguards never even noticed! Just laughing with each other on their phones. They were not even aware anything happened, which is seriously concerning in a kids pool! Sunbed situation was ridiculous. We were at breakfast 8:30 everyday, and all sunbeds gone, we spent the entire 10 days at the baby pool, it would have been nice for the older kids in the group to get a chance in the main pool. There was often a smell of weed all the time in our corridor and loads of times round the baby pool which was concerning. Finally the hotel really need to get kids pooing in the hotel under control, we had a baby with us and it’s really not difficult to use a swim nappy with an over nappy to protect them and everyone else. I find it baffling not often this hotels pool is closed due to it! Because of this - all of our swimwear is absolutely ruined. We spent money on our swimwear and our babies swimwear and due to them needing to ‘shock’ the pool due to the poo, all of our swimwear is stained a dirty yellow colour and some of us got blotches on our skin. I’m absolutely gutted as all of our swimwear is ruined. Overall we managed to enjoy the holiday, but sadly we won’t be back here, there was just too many things that let it down, and it’s shame as genuinely the hotel is very clean and the majority of the staff very friendly.
Where do I start if you want a nice holiday don’t choose here. If you are looking for 4 star accommodation this isn’t it we had cockroaches in our rooms daily the smell of drugs down our corridor on floor 1 was overwhelming we found cockroaches crawling on the bread at breakfast. Drunk people kids running and screaming at 12-1am every night this was a holiday of nightmares for us I cannot fathom the reviews that say this place is amazing it’s dated dirty and definitely not 4 star
Me and My husband had the best time, what a lovely stay and all the staff worked so hard, and so friendly. We be back next year. Thank you so much love Kev and miche room 236. ☀️☀️😊
Today is our last day at the GF Fanabe hotel after a week, and we're here for the first time. We have loved our stay. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily if you require. The whole hotel is cleaned and maintained well. Staff work incredibly hard, they are polite and friendly and have a great sense of humour. Food is of a good standard, cooked well and fresh. It can be a bit samey but thats normal after eating at the same place for a week! Chefs make and cook the meats etc to order and the omelettes in the morning are delicious. We only used the main pool its a decent size and great to have a deep end for our teen who loves swimming. Just a heads up, you can access the sun loungers from early (I'm an early bird so was down by 7.45am but you can't just pop your towels down and leave. You need to stay with them, or they will be lifted. (Only one person needs to stay) Then after 10am you can leave them and they won't get lifted. Works well and we never had an issue getting one. If you're heading out you will usually have no problem getting a sun lounger later. Staff entertainment team are great and enthusiastic, It's nice to have a couple of choices in an evening to sit and have a drink by the pool area or at the front of the hotel. Its in a lovely area, plenty shops etc. 15 minute walk to marina. First time and won't be the last, not one complaint from us. Lovely hotel and amazing staff.
Had a lovely room with a great view but was definitely not a 4 star hotel pool closed at 6, entertainment was only on 8-10pm food was very limited(mainly pork) and most of the staff was rude apart from two lovely people(I forgot to get there names). It especially seemed to have a lot of one rule for one person and another for a different person which was very unfair overall I will not be recommending or returning to this hotel
What a let down!! Used to come here all the time now after spending a week there couldn’t wait to get home!! Horrible old woman on reception totally clueless having to wait 3 hours to check in!! Eventually the room was ready but she still had something to say horrible old lady!!!!constant running up the corridor and they were trying to open your door! Put it this way the place is like a hostel it’s definitely not 4 Starr more like a 2 plus!! Cleaners are really good but overall will never stay here a gain! Remember not a 4 starr it’s 2 star plus
We have been to this hotel on many occasions previously but on this occasion we found that the standards have dropped dramatically. When we arrived we were told the wait would be 2 hours which was understandable as we arrived early. I asked for a drinks voucher which was provided. We then went back 2 hours later and one of the check in staff said it would be another hour but was extremely rude about it when I told her another staff member said 2 hours. When we arrived at the room the fridge was not working properly and informed the reception staff which they sent the maintenance guy and replaced the fridge immediately and was very friendly. We were overlooking the football court and the gates were locked but the kids got under the net and were screaming until 12.30 - 1.00am. The food for a 4 star hotel is very mediocre and is pretty much the same every night. The breakfast is ok. Great location near to the beach but unfortunately won't be returning unless the standards improve.
Our 3rd stay, everything was as good as previously.
Nothing to report.
This was my 3rd visit too the gf fanabe the hotel was first class as always, nice hotel lovley roof terrace nice breakfast very clean room with good air con, exceptional staff room cleaned daily great view from my balcony, great position too explore costa adeje from and I will definitely be returning...once again. The only downside about the hotel I can comment on is the drinks prices as I was only B&B as I always do i don't generally drink in the hotel is go out but on the last day I had a drink from the lobby bar and was astounded at the price it was €11.50 for a vodka sprite which was measured through an optic I don't mind paying but this generally took the p** there are two bars which I go too across the road from the hotel were they actually tip the spirit straight in a large glass and its only €5 which for more than half the price and twice the drink is the normal I really couldnt belive the bar prices....
Excellent customer service, food was ok, rooms are big and air-conditioning is good. Unfortunately its very loud until late if you have Young kids and very chavvy as well. You cant get a sunbed unless your down very early and sit with the beds. Very average.
Fantastic hotel, super clean everywhere, and very friendly staff! Great location and restaurant had a good choice of buffet foods with vegetarian options. Would thoroughly recommend and will return soon .
Hotel has a good location
Sunbeds on roof could do with an upgrade
Day 5 and writing whist in hotel. Read some reviews whist waiting to check in 5 days ago and was surprised. We have found the hotel in a good location to walk anywhere. Room is spacious enough and spotless. We had a room with a balcony that did look over the service road, however not a problem for us as we were out exploring most days. Stayed for bed and breakfast and again food was exactly what was expected in a hotel. Enough choice to accommodate most tastes. Food was fresh and well presented. Staff were always kind and polite. Negative points- what is wrong with people! This is human behaviour not the hotels fault! Hogging sun longers from the moment the sun came up with adding towels. Then going off for hours and not removing their towels. Weird and selfish behaviour in my opinion/ hotel need to get tougher and if you are missing for 30 mins- remove towels! Went to rooftop pool one day and loads of space and very nice adult quiet area with 2 pools. However met a women there that was only bed and breakfast that was getting fully inclusive guests to get her and husbands drinks! If you can’t afford to buy your own drinks! Don’t go bed and breakfast, your selfish behaviour only sets to add to holiday costs. When informed bar person was told they have to witness this behaviour themselves 🤔 how can you do that if the women is getting other people to get drinks on their fully inclusive package and hiding when they do this. Needs better management.
We went to GF Fanabe as our first family holiday abroad with our small children ( 4 & 1) I was little worried reading the reviews before going, but i shouldn't of worried, we had a fab time, the staff where super friendly, from the restaurant staff to the children's entertainers they were all great and amazing with our children. The rooms where spacious and clean, with beds made daily and fresh bathroom towels provided. We were on the 4th floor (top floor, facing the main road) and didn't get any noise disturbance at all from the entertainment or road. The air con in the room, wasn't very good, so the room was very warm, but manageable. The hotel itself was very clean, including the outside areas. Pool towels were provided daily, with exchange at the end of your pool stay for the next day. The children's pool water was cold, but fine once in the pool and used to the temperature. No problem at all with getting a sunbed, always plenty. We were fully inclusive and found the food, drinks and snack bars lovely, even with 2 small children, every day we all ate well. The cocktails were very nice also. The general area around the hotel was very nice and a 10-minute walk to the local beach and supermarket across the road for any items you may need upon arrival and very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend and would be happy to return.
Overview Stayed here for 12 nights all inclusive as a young couple and would definitely recommend Rooms Room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable and the room didn’t get too stuffy or hot. Hotel room comes with a mini fridge, hairdryer and safe. We also requested a specific room and they accommodated us brilliantly. Cleaning staff were also lovely and even if we weren’t wanting our room cleaned a specific day they always offered us fresh towels in the passing Food There was always something for everyone and I didn’t find it as repetitive as other hotels. They do theme nights such as Chinese and Mexican. We were all inclusive and never had any issues. Breakfast was great with things like different types of sausages, eggs, bacon, hash browns etc. along with pancakes, churros and you can also choose to get fresh omelettes made. The snack bar by the pool did fresh hotdogs, burgers etc too. Bar/drinks Bar staff were lovely, seen a few reviews complaining about the wait for drinks, however we never waited anymore than 5 minutes for our drinks. They have a decent range of drinks on all inclusive, from cocktails, spirits, wines etc. Another great thing about the drinks is that they don’t give you rubbish little cups like a lot of hotels that do all inclusive. They are good quality cups for during the day (pool bar) and at night you get them in glasses at the bar at the front of the hotel (bar hall). Entertainment Entertainment did not disappoint. Most nights they always had something on. These weren’t rubbish shows. They had a variety of different things such as tribute acts (Michael Jackson and queen) everyone really enjoyed themselves during the entertainment and the atmosphere was great. During the day, the entertainment team always tried their best to engage with people and get people participating in activities. At the front of the hotel there was a live singer on every night as-well. Pools We used two of the pool areas. The main pool and the rooftop.the main pool was always clean and there was someone in the mornings that would remove towels that were left unattended. There was one person that was not happy with this however this meant that no one was having to get a up early to find a sun lounger. The rooftop area (adults only) was lovely, it’s a great place to relax and there was never an issue trying to get sunloungers up there. The only slight issue we had was that there was one group of young people that were in the pool for the entire day so me and my boyfriend weren’t able to use it. However this was thankfully on our last day so we didn’t have too much to worry about. Overall this was an amazing hotel. The location is great as you are a 10 minute walk from the beach and there is also taxis right outside the hotel. There is also a mini mall right outside the hotel with a great supermarket which is really handy if you need anything. There is also a mini shop in the hotel as-well. The only annoying thing is that we weren’t able to keep our room open and our flight wasn’t until half 9 at night. However I have heard it’s rare for the hotel to be able to accommodate this. This wasn’t any fault on the hotel, it was simply because they were fully booked. We have booked again for next June and we are looking forward to staying here again.
Fab staff with the exception of jesus....what an arrogant individual.. Good location food as expected.
From the moment we walked into this hotel last Saturday the staff have been so polite and welcoming. Rooms cleaned daily and sheets and also towels cleaned. Usually when we go all inclusive, the food leaves alot to ge desired, but here it has been so good that we have no wish to eat out. Saving us on plenty of pounds. The roof top terrace is perfect if you want to relax in perfect harmony. The bar and restaurant staff provide table service for all your drinks and always with a smile. The entertainment is so good, and the children's entertainment is also right up there. This holiday has been worth every penny and more. We will most certainly be coming back. Well done GF Fanabe and keep up the great work.
I stayed here with friends early June 2026. Check in no problem and staff friendly. Rooms excellent with nice terrace. Good AC. Kitchen excellent for self catering. Layout is excellent like being inside a little village. Pool was heated, large and refreshing. Adult area with jaquzzi was excellent too. Breakfast area was suitable too. There was a small football pitch for us young late 40 year olds to pratice the old skills. Only downside was for the hotel bar you either used card or paid 40 euros for 10 tokens. A token wud get u a plastic glass of beer. The size cud vary. I had transfered a lot of money to euros so i didnt want to use card. I only used to bar on the 1st day with the 10 tokens. I probably wud have used the bar every day if i could pay cash so this was the only downside. As a result i never stayed for entertainment. So big tip - cash payment for beer would have been miles better. Only other slight issue was wifi was very poor at times. Cleaners were very nice and cheerful - deserved many tips. All in all great hotel. Very pleasant place. Really enjoyed my stay and defo would be back.
Enjoyable all inclusive 10 night stay, our first time at this hotel.Great location, staff very friendly and helpful and service is excellent.Food was for the most part good and plenty of choice.Pool area is good and although sunbeds can get taken quickly we always managed to find a couple. Entertainment nightly was ok and plenty to do during the day if you so wish. Rooms were clean and tidy, maids in every day and communal areas were spotless. Overall no complaints, enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again
Wasn't impressed one bit. Hotel food etc just looked depressing from outside
Ididn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that. The staff were efficient and friendly. The roof terrace and bar was agreat location to spend a few hours in the afternoon.
It was all good.
Sehr gut
Fast alles gefallen
Hotel and staff are nice, entertainment is terrible, worst acts I've seen, it's mostly songs from the 60s and 70s, they had a micheal jackson act, he just mimed and danced, didn't sing one song, bar is terrible at night as they won't let you order from the bar, you need to wait on the one waiter taking table orders, so can take a long time to get a drink, I think they do this to save them money, wouldn't return unless changes were made
Dobrá lokalita, velké pokoje a čisté. Personál milý.
Uvítal bych déle otevřený bazén a posilovnu. Taky mi nebyly pohodlné polštáře, ale matrace byly dobré. Uvítal bych přímo nějaký parking od hotelu, než hledání místo po okolí.
Hotel was fantastic, staff were brilliant very helpful. Had a great time would highly recommend.
La piscina. Y el personal en general agradable y servicial
Los azulejos de las habitaciones algo viejos
Absolutely Brilliant Hotel, can’t find any faults, staff are wonderful, friendly and hard working. Room was great and very clean, as was all the hotel areas. This was our first time at this Hotel and the area, it is very close to amenities, bars , restaurants, transport, the beach , entertainment is very good , would definitely recommend and return, Thankyou ,Lee& Wayne
We have stayed here 15 times now and are currently here the food is excellent the staff are lovely i can't recommend this hotel enough
Me and my wife stay at GF Fanabe early June for 10 days. This weekend a lovely and welcoming hotel, with staff always happy to help and talk to you. Rooms cleaned everyday and the cleaners are excellent and very polite. We had the family room which was very nice and definitely a 4 star. Location is really good and only 5/7 minutes walk to amazing beaches and endless shops and restaurants. The most beautiful Sunset can be seen every night. As vegetarians there was alot of variety for us everyday. Lots for vegan options annd clearly labelled ,enough for fussy eaters. I would say the quality of the food was excellent and well prepared. Well worth having the half board option as lots going on for the evening dinner. Nice entertainment almost every night which we enjoyed. We have had a great time at this hotel and can’t really find anything to moan about! And would recommend highly. Will be coming back.
Third visit, love the hotel. It does need updating but they have postponed refurb a few times. If you're reading the review about 13 hrs of loud music up to midnight, its totally false. Pity the reviews aren't fact checked.
We have just returned from one week holiday, myself, my husband and our granddaughter. I was very impressed with this hotel. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool. Cleaner came each day, if you want sheets changed you leave a card on your bed. We were BB EM. Plenty of choice of food. The animation team are excellent with children not too babyish. Our granddaughter loved it. I give the hotel 10/10.
Good stay overall been many times. Rooms need updating. Staff and cleanliness to high standard. Food just OK. Nothing much changed as been going now for years and prob will return. Thanks gf fanabe.
Everything!! Staff are brilliant. Food is great. Hotel is clean Perfect for us.
I do wish they did bigger rooms for families
The second time I’ve stayed at the hotel but it’s definitely changed. The food and staff were great but entertainment full pelt down a microphone every day for 13 hours is horrendous. There was absolutely no chance of getting any sleep before midnight. The ceiling then collapsed in the main reception followed by very loud building work in the rooms over looking the front outside bar seats to the point you couldn’t hear anything. The hotel is lovely but being kept up every night until midnight has put me off coming back
Before me and my boyfriend came to stay at GF Fañabe , we did read some reviews and to be fair the negative ones I dont understand how anyone could write anything negative about this hotel. We traveled out on the 28th May and stayed for a week to find that a week wasn’t long enough as the hotel was amazing . The staff always had service with a smile and I also want to give a shoutout to Moises who always had a sprite and Malibu for both me and my boyfriend whenever he seen us he was amazing and always chatted away to us and so was all the other staff. The staff made you feel so welcomed once you arrived at this hotel you would easily mistake this hotel for a 5 star hotel with the amazing quality of the service they provide. The location was amazing you are 5 minutes away from Fañabe Beach which has shops and restaurants near by. The entertainment in the hotel caters to everyone and the service is 10 out of 10. The rooms were very spacious and kept clean and had a tv and mini fridge and his and her sinks in the bathroom. Honestly there’s no amount of words that I can put to describe how amazing this hotel is between location , the rooms and most importantly the service from the staff makes this hotel . Me and my boyfriend will definitely be back next year !!
Love this hotel … it’s in a perfect position … close to the beach and in the middle of easy walking areas Staff are mostly friendly and welcoming Reception very helpful 24 hours cover Cleaners start the day with a smile and a happy greeting and keep the room spotless Front bar staff are amazing … especially Adrian and his staff .. Esther, Moses, Azim and the lovely Ricardo Dining room staff not as welcoming … sometimes felt like being in school … particularly Alessandro … But also a mix of lovely staff in there Food is good A glass of water included with the evening meal would be much appreciated as most hotels include this at least, with evening meal

Everything was great kids loved the pool food was good staff was great till I met 1 guy who worked at the hotel I was putting my family's towel down on 2 sunbeds as we don't take 5 because other people want them and we can just use 2 we like to be at the side of the pool due to it being easier for us as our 3 kids are special needed anyway as I did this this guy started to tell me I could not put my towels on so I explained the situation and said that I will be bk in 5 with the kids I was going back to help my partner with the kids he just kept saying no and said I was not allowed I pointed out that other people had already reserved sunbeds he said nothing about this but went on to tell me if I leave the towels then he will remove them and throw them away after explaining my situation I thought this was a disgrace and when we went back down after sorting the kids they was no sunbeds close to the pool to make life abit easier for us but apart from that its been good anyway rant over.
So mixed review not the worst or the best place we have stayed Kept awake at night if you want to go to bed before 11pm won’t happen tonight woken again by drunks Standard of entertainment at the pool bar fabulous Food ok best meal was the Asian night absolutely great Cleaning of rooms terrible Slow services at bars Rooms nice etc Pools lovely Some staff amazing Overall not worth the amount of money I paid but still an ok holiday
Feels like going home ! We return year after year (17th visit) so I guess we quite like it! My father recommended the Fanabe years ago and so glad he did. Yes it’s in need of a bit of an update but the reason everyone goes back is because of the feeling you get when you’re there. We keep hearing about a closure to refurb but apparently that’s not happening so we keep booking! We request a certain floor and room we prefer and mostly we are accommodated. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and a fridge. We prefer a bath/shower so perfect for us. Great water pressure and again spacious. Rooms are cleaned daily and to a good standard. They made my birthday special with a complimentary gift which was lovely. We only do B&B which is our preferred choice every holiday. Breakfast is fabulous never been let down. If I could change one thing it would be to have an outside eating area off the restaurant as it can be very warm and noisy. We use the rooftop mainly during the day. Nice relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed the Pilates/yoga etc previously but this year there was non for some reason. There was no animation team visits at all this year so maybe it wasn’t popular. Another relaxed stay and wait to visit again Thank you
Currently staying at hotel can't fault the hotel and food, what I do find is bad no ball games in pool and no inflatables well some people are allowed we got told weren't allowed both so if this is the case the rules need to go for everyone. I don't know what the problem is just playing pass with a soft ball. Just find rules to be a bit strict understand if this was in the baby pool but for the big pool and especially when they play water polo whats the difference. This does put us off booking this hotel again.
Love this hotel. Yes, it requires top to bottom refurbishment but we always find the accommodation very clean and comfortable. Initially, disappointed we weren't allocated the room we requested (152) but our room is fine. Staff are excellent throughout. Location is fantastic, with plenty restaurants nearby. Handy to have the supermarket across the road. Weekly market just round the corner if you're interested! Although we don't use the pool, it has been so encouraging to see Maintainance remove towels from 'reserved' beds! Entertainment is pretty poor and majors on the same 60's/70's songs each night but it's fine for us. We are B&B and there's plenty choice for breakfast although more fresh fruit and 0% yogurt would be great! Looking forward to our next visit and excited to see plans for the refurb !
Despite reading some negative reviews we have enjoyed our experience here so much that we have already booked to come back next year. We really can't fault a single thing, the location, the facilities, the staff and the food have all been exceptional. The food in the all inclusive is buffet style so there's always going to be limitations as to what that can entail however we have been to other all inclusive resorts that haven't supplied as good or as tasty a selection. We have found our happy place and can't wait to come back again
The location of the hotel is excellent, the property is very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Although the hotel is not very modern, it is well maintained and comfortable. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. We booked half board and tried both breakfast and dinner, and even changed dinner to lunch hoping for a better experience, but the food lacked flavour and taste every time. There was very little variety and overall the quality did not meet expectations. In our opinion, the half board option is not worth the extra money.
Excellent service at this hotel. Valerio on reception is a great asset to GF Fanabe. Helps everyone . Food very good
Been here for the last 4 years location perfect hotel first class rooms superb value for money booked again for next year
I’ve been going there for 30 years and I love everything about it
Its only my personal opinion but this hotel ticks all the boxes for us, staff food drinks entertainment pools facilities all exceptional the rooms could do with some tlc in places but with a major renovation due next year the owners are on top of it, we ate in the hotel throughout our stay something we never do normally that's how good the food was in our opinion , we were AI and the drinks were table service in the main lobby and pool bars huge bonus never having to wait in queues the staff were always on hand to serve you and keep you refreshed just brilliant roof top bar is adults only bar service , the enthusiasm of the entertainment staff was again exceptional getting involved in some of the shows they were super talented and were always wondering around guests showing a real interest in where you came from and your interests family etc big shout out to Guillia just a lovely talented young lady who will go along way in her career I'm sure, there were little things in our room that could be addressed but as I said earlier the owners are on top of it and it didn't affect our comfort as the rooms were spotlessly clean and airy, 10 minutes stroll to the beach and 1 minutes walk to the twice weekly market bus links etc, thanks for a fantastic stay brilliant hotel in our opinions. Mr W and A Angus Room 209
Great hotel, staff excellent, food very good, very clean. Would have liked to have a kettle in the room though.
Third time at this hotel and enjoyed it each time. Location is excellent, staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are well kept by the cleaning team and there are plenty sun beds and spaces to lounge about in, particularly at the roof top area. A huge plus point is the attitude and enthusiasm of the animations team, especially Alexandra, Adele and Christobel - I don’t know what they’re paying you guys, but you’re worth every penny (euro?)! I see a few groans about kids inflatables and repetition of food in the restaurant but, as I wasn’t with children nor staying all inclusive I can’t comment. Decor is starting to look a bit dated but, other than that, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a pleasant accommodation experience in Adeje. Hope to be back next year!
We had a shower that kept leaking every time we would use it. The facilities was not what we would think is a 4 star resort. Majority of the staff were rude. The resort is meant to be an all inclusive which we paid for which clearly it wasn't, still had to pay extra for different drinks and foods. The food variety at the buffet was poor and the food was cheap and tasteless. My stomach played up on more than one occasion and we decided to eat out some nights. Some of the food was mouldy and re-used throughout the day. Ice cream would be melted and still be put back to be frozen to be eaten. Had to ask for drinks to be given to us, couldn't go and grab it yourself. Staff had a go at one on my mates for grabbing a glass bottle of water and was told he couldn't get it and that he would give it to him at the table. When i asked for apple juice it took 15mimutes to be given to me and when i was given it and said thank you to the staff member she was sarcastic and rude saying your welcome. Had another staff member behind the bar getting stropy with my mate and i cause we asked for a cappucino which we only found out it was part of the all inclusive before we flew out the next day. Wasn't clear what we could have and not have. Felt like we was being treated like children due to us being british. Couldn't play ball games in the pool, couldn't have a drink by the pool. Pool was very basic. At this point might as well be a prison. Entertainment team barely done anything apart from bingo here and there and were barely seen. Only time entertainment was good was one nignt where they had a some stunt team come to the resort doing all sort of things which was good. I will not be returning to the resort and my advice to anyone who's young and british to not go there either. Definitely not worth the price either.

First time visiting this hotel with family and friends, we knew we were arriving late so emailed the hotel and they left us some food and drink out to eat in the restaurant when we got there, all the staff were polite and couldn't do enough for us, my husband went to reception to ask about a pharmacy as I'd woke up on the second day with a sore eye and couldn't open it properly, reception gave him an eye wash for me, rooms and hotel are clean inside and out, food is lovely and plenty to choose from, my husband is fussy when it comes to food and he didn't have any complaints, bar snacks are nice decent sizes, hot or cold snacks are available, drinks are lovely and even the AI cocktails were of a good standard, entertainment was good sometimes you get 2 a night one at the pool bar one outside, I didn't use the pools but when we walked by there was plenty of sun loungers, they also provide towels, roof top is nice, seats and tables and loungers to relax and there's a bar, men and women WCs and 2 plunge pools, there's ramped areas and lifts, a gift and snack shop in the hotel, lots of shops and restaurants around, we will book this hotel again when we're in Adeje
Great hotel. Great location as far as we are concerned, close enough to the hectic bussle of the sea front but far enough away to be quiet too. Restaurant food was always good, just a little repetitive. The adults only roof areas was the reason we chose it and one of the reason ls we'll go back.

Where do I start? First of all, I’m going to be honest with you, for the price, it isn’t worth it. Go another hotel that’s 5 star or different country. When I over heard someone been back for the 9th time I was like they must be kidding? Maybe I had a different experience to others I wonder why there’s so many good reviews? Ive had 3 others feel the exact same way. I’ve also had a group of 8 said this is rubbish which I agree. Good points, location, beach few minutes away pretty decent, all restaurants nearby. Rooms not bad, clean, I’ll say the water leaks onto the floor a lot but that’s minor. There’s music and bands play until 12-1 am which is good. Good for elderly and couples. Good ice cream, some fruit and salad. Cleaners were decent. Football court out the back was good, pool and towels were awesome. Bad points, no idea what’s on the all inclusive food and drink menu, you had to guess everything and asked. My friend first bit of fruit, orange was mouldy I let it go on the first day wish we took a picture but we didn’t want it to kill our holiday. I’m fair if it’s all inclusive, but just watch what you eat, some smelt off some looked off gave us some stomach issues and will give you. My biggest issue I had was 3 things. The pool rules Why have a shop that sells inflatables if you can’t have them in the pool? Turtles, rings, balls, I can’t have a ball in the pool I got told off, I can’t have a drink with my toes in the pool I got told off. Kids were getting told off for having inflatable in the pool. The staff. Few odd ones were nice, I got told what’s going on because I wanted a cappuccino after my dinner? Is on all inclusive, because is 7:30 pm after dinner the coffee machine were working still. I asked at the bar for a cappuccino because I’ve been at the beach all day and felt tired, the women behind the bar went, really? What’s going on with you? Come on, you got beer? Fanta? Made a whole fuss over a minute machine coffee, I nearly said forget about it. The water. Just go and get yourself a 5L for couple euros in a shop outside and stick it in the fridge. Or a pack of bottles. Because the only water you have that’s bottled is at lunch&dinner. If you’re thirsty like my friend was and got up and tried to get himself a bottled water in the fridge in the restaurant, you will get yourself an ear full. Small classes of water won’t cut it for the amount of salt in the food and with the heat and alcohol combined. I’m not coming better for the 2nd time even if you pay me to be honest. Is harsh but that’s how I felt, go outside was a buzz do jetski do Siam park, do activities. I came back to the hotel, I’d rather be home.
Very good hotel, roof terrace pool, plus two other pools. No need to bring beach towels as you can have towels from the pool. Good food, close to bars, restaurants and 10 minutes steep walk down to the beach but up hill on the way back but worth it. Clean rooms, very good maid service. All staff very friendly. TV with English Channels, kettle, bath water very hot. Nightly entertainment to a good standard with a bar. Shop on site. And a supermarket opposite.
Booked this hotel by mistake, thinking it was a different hotel. But what a nice surprise. A warm welcome from reception staff in a beautiful, spotlessly clean and well laid out hotel. Our room were excellent with a very comfortable oversize bed. The daily maid service kept it nice. The hotel has a large, figure 8 pool which never seemed cold and was surrounded by more than enough sun beds. Not cheap plastic with crack and splits, but nice quality steel framed with cushion covers. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was an endless buffet.everything you could ever want! We discovered this area last year and it was really nice to revisit some of the places e found. I thoroughly recommend the colonial bar and the mia carro restaurant for a superb and varied menu at good prices and great live background music. It's so easy to get a bus at very small cot to los Christians and playa las America's for some varied night life. We will return to this hotel and resort again.
We had an excellent stay here, so good we’ll book again for next year. Every member of staff, with the except of one, was lovely - so friendly, & helpful. Yes the hotel is a bit dated however it is spotlessly clean. We stayed all inclusive, the restaurant had a varied selection at each meal time and always had something being made fresh on grill. The entertainment staff are good fun & genuinely nice people to chat with. Guila is an absolute star! There’s always something on in the evening If you don’t want to venture out. Huge thanks to the whole team at the Fanabe.
3 to 4 star service and amenities, 2 star people Food - we were half board and found there was plenty of choice and variety. Quality was generally ok, though some of thd BBQ food was undercooked. Pool area - plenty of sunbeds, large heated pool but a bit noisy at times if youre trying to doze off. Rooms - cool, a bit dated but comfortable. Cleaned daily to a high standard. Noise from other guests and lobby cleaners carries a bit too much at times. Guests - there needs to be a rethink on stag and hen groups, it's not Las Americas here so don't allow such awful groups to come and shatter the peace. Reception - some decent staff but absolutely refuse to intervene with the habitual weed smoking on balconies. If you leave you doors open, your room will stink for ages. Shocking.
I went here with 4 friends for a week. I am on dialysis and needed injectable medications to be kept in the fridge, the fridges in the rooms weren't cold enough so they stored it in the fridge at reception for me. They also arranged a snack picnic to take with me to dialysis. The staff were excellent with the only exception being Trunchbull on the restaurant entrance who was extremely grumpy and very rude to our group and watching she was the same to others. I know another group complained about her. But the rest of the staff were lovely especially Will in the rooftop bar he was made for that job he has the chat and banter and knew all his guests by name, Great customer service by him. Hotel was lovely very handy for so much all around and 10 min in a taxi from the hospital for those like me needing life saving treatment. Would recommend and am looking to book again.
Nice hotel. Good sized room with nice pool view. Hotel looks drab from the outside but great once inside.Location about 5 minutes walk to beach down a hill but plenty of shops and bars near by. We thought the food was generally very good with lots of choice.Entertainment at night good and especially liked the comedy duo
Breakfast selection was exceptional.
Tea/Coffee facilities in bedroom lacking.
Big comfy bed, great breakfast choices
Nothing
First time at this hotel ( although been to Adeje a few times ) we had an 11 night stay , staff very friendly , rooms spacious and comfortable, pool areas good - a few to choose from and always found a sunbed , no need to rush at 8.30am to secure one 😳! We were on half board , breakfast was plentiful, lots to choose from ,, however evening meal in our opinion ( we r not fussy eaters ) was not as good,,, basic ,, pasta / pizza ( although not under heat lamps ? ) - The salad area was ok , but the centre hot food / live cooking area did nt seem to have good quality / choice food !! But in saying that we did manage to find something, but the food ( in our opinion) was not 4* ,,, ! We would definitely return back , for the right price , but on bed - breakfast basis .. Entertainment on an evening was good ..An enjoyable stay !! Adeje itself is fab !! Lovely resort !
Just got back from a weeks stay at Hotel Fanabe. Had a lovely time, stayed B&B & plenty of choice. From cereals, fruits, fresh juices to cava. Every where was clean & tidy. All staff lively & friendly. Had lunch a few time at the pool bar & was lovely. Salad was a very good size & price very reasonable. Paid 10€ less than a restaurant opposite the hotel & it was so much nicer. Drink where also good price, nice to see they didn’t increase their prices because it was a hotel. It’s about a 7 min walk down hill to the beach & many restaurants & bars. Would highly recommended this hotel.
It was good
Large room, nice pool view.
A bit outdated, not very clean.
Clean, spacious and comfortable room with good balcony. Good breakfast selection but as often the case, food not warm enough. Roof terrace and bar great. Outdoor singer was lovely atmosphere on our evening arrival.
Unpleasant man at breakfasts, chef? Black hat, grumpy, shaking his head at people, miserable and rude, no English when I asked what I'd done wrong. Saw similar attitude to other diners, working on juice bar and omelette station.
Todo en general. La limpieza el trato la rapidez en recepción..gracias
This is the fourth time I have been to this hotel and every time it has been great. We are going back in 8 weeks time and look forward to the friendly staff all across each department, reception helpful bar staff excellent even the roof pool attendant. People have made comments about the food I think they must live on Big Macs at home they need to experiment and they will find it’s great. I have seen the comments about the noise nonsense in four visits maybe once or twice there has been a little noise when people are going to bed. Some nice walks around the hotel and it’s best to get your perfume from the shop at the Dukes shopping centre.
Positives: rooms are clean, pool is nice. Negatives: SO LOUD AT NIGHT. The paper thin walls you can hear everything banging swearing people arguing. No sleep unless you take something to knock you out. No temperature control in the room either freezing cold or boiling hot. Bathroom and going into hotel room floods if you take a shower- reported but no body came to sort out as promised several times. Cheap and cheerful hotel I would not be impressed if I had paid more than I did. This is a budget hotel and not 4 stars in the slightest.
Me and my family have been coming here for the past 4 years and unfortunately this time was the last. The past 4 years we have never had an issue with kids throwing a ball round in the pool but this time they were told off for playing with a tiny rubber ball. Absolute madness when it’s a family hotel which is meant to be kid friendly. So we went to the onsite shop to buy him a inflatable crocodile to play in the pool with as he is a 9 year old child and was told we could buy it for 20e but couldn’t use it in the shop. No balls allowed even round the kids pools is crazy kids need to be kids on holiday. Now let me start with the amount of drugs being smoked round the pool how can this be allowed and kids not being allowed to be kids. There is an adult only section on the roof if people don’t want to let kids be kids surely they can go up there. Booked my son into kids club the night before took him down and was told he would be bored and would want to leave after 10 mins as they would only be colouring in and they don’t normally open unless they have 8 or more kids booked in my son was the only one there and wanted to stay so they let him for an hour. Entertainment team were great with the kids but this hotel has changed since 2024 I will not be bringing my child back it seems to be catering for the older generation now. 2 nights of no entertainment in the pool bar and the singers out the front weren’t that great we went out most nights.
Stayed in fanabe 20-27 April had good stay & rooms cleaned everyday,Thanks to guest relations for getting a adapted room since Tui messed up, only complaint is food sometimes barely warm,Heated main pool and hotel facilities great.Adults rooftop area very nice.
