We went to St Lucia during Jazz festival so quite a busy time. On arrival we went into hotel to check in and were advised the ceiling of the inn was being repaired so everything would be done in hotel apart from room. The room itself was adequate for what was needed however it looks dated but had what we needed. The cleaning was a bit hit and miss, we needed new bed linen so took the sheet off but when we returned it was just folded up on the bed without being replaced. The floor was not swept everyday, grounds etc are pretty. The staff were friendly great service Etanya (reception) Helena Leanne and Lucas restaurant, Jamal night porter. The thing that disrupted us was the building works in the inn with drilling and banging going on, bar wasn’t open but we used hotel, there is a shuttle up to Bay gardens resort which works well, resort is beautiful and on the beach which is beautiful
Great location...Service and food sub par. The rooms need updating. There were few friendly staff. If the rooms are modernized this would be a wonderful place
The level of service was excellent and the room was very comfortable.
No show gel.was in the holder
Arrived yesterday 05/05/2026 instantly charged £95 in resort fees, when questioned i was told it is all in one of the 4 leaflets given. Once I had time to digest said leaflet, some of the payments are voluntary. Wlzi wish the reception had taken the time to explain this as we were the only ones booking in at the time. I was quotes £59 by my booking reference. Booked a superior room, I feel sorry for anyone in a standard room. The toilet stopped working, I rang reception who informed me the maintenance man arrives at 7am. I had to walk across to the sister hotel to use the public area toilet. The balcony door only closes from the inside with the lock, as the door handles does not work. So if you wish to sit outside on the balcony, the AC will go off as the door does not close. I spoke about it to a member of staff who stated that is just the Bay Gardens Inn. This is the first 24 hours. I am sure I will have a progress update on my stay here. They are doing maintenance due to the ceiling of the reception area falling down, so everything is done via the sister hotel. I wish they had informed me of this before my arrival as it was sprung on us at reception.

The location of the property is excellent, just a stroll away from the mall, the supermarket, restaurants and a number of entertainment spots. It is also a short walk to the beach area, the breakfast was good with lots of different options to choose from.
We are frequent visitors to St Lucia and like to stay in small typical Caribbean style hotels, the last two visits we stayed at the Bay Gardens Marina Haven which is fine so for a change this year we stayed at The Bay Gardens Inn. The Inn is separate from the Bay Gardens Hotel although all our meals and Bar service was provided at the Bay Gardens which is across a side road so this didn't pose any problems at all. When we arrived we were greeted by Natalie a friendly reception staff member who efficiently dealt with our check in and we were soon off to our room. We had a room on the first floor overlooking the pool and gardens. The room was a typical Caribbean Hotel room and furnished in the dark Brown wooden style typical of the region Some would say dated but perfectly functional, plenty of wardrobe space lots of cupboards a fridge freezer Microwave oven some plates and cutlery wine glasses and other drinks glasses the fridge had beer and soft drinks and water therein (not replaced) There was an Iron in the wardrobe and a hair dryer. A large TV adorned the wall whether it worked or not I do not know I never switched it on in the fortnight I was there !!!!! The bathroom consisted of a large walk in shower sink unit and a toilet. There was a cupboard for towels but nowhere to hang the towel which would have been useful. The aircon unit was efficient there was also a ceiling fan which I find useful at night time when I turn the aircon off. In room safe located in the wardrobe which was easy to use. A kettle along with some tea bags and coffee. The AI drinks package good draught bottled Piton good spirit and cocktail selection food; Breakfast varied and generally good Lunch time fixed menu a little disappointing from past visits to their restaurant and different to their website Menus The same for the evening meal there needs to be more variation but the offerings served were of a good quality but there needs to be a change of menu a couple of times a week. The staff were all good the service in the main was good a couple of days it drifted a bit but it was fine. I mentioned Natalie I think it is Paulita a receptionist at The Inn who is very good walking around the pool at the Inn to ensure all was well. I mention the pool at the Inn a lovely quiet place to exist plenty of Sun beds all in all a good stay and we will be returning. I forgot to mention Beach towels which are available from the towel hut at The Bay gardens Hotel
For the price, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. A nice small buffet style breakfast was included! Many activities included with a shuttle to the main resort. The local store’s & restaurants were in easy walking distance.
Quiet room with balcony and view over the pool. Several restaurants close by and walking distance to the beach.
The breakfast a bit poor
Excellent breakfast, especially the Sunday breakfast.Fantastic staff. I went with my mum and she was well looked after. The free shuttle between the sites. The tours. We took the “Tout Bagay” tour. Excellent!
We stayed at the inn and I think it could do with a little tlc. The shower needed updating and the cold water pressure was poor. There was one day when the evening meal fell short of our expectations. Maybe the chef was having an off day?
Not one thing ,,
Every single thing was wrong, No hot water AC was not working. The worst experience ever .
Excellent and easily accessible

I booked to stay at this hotel from 10 November 2025 as a solo female traveller from the UK. I arrived around 10am and it was only myself and the receptionist at the desk. I was happy to have arrived and was stroking a cat in the reception area, however, the receptionist was very rude and unwelcoming. She was asking questions about what room I booked and where and which hotel ??? - I did not understand what she meant and I told her this - she was mumbling and it was all very confusing. I had booked the hotel through Hotels.com. The booking included ALL taxes and this was mentioned in the small print. The receptionist kept telling me to sit down and wait and she would walk off and come back - she said it was because I had booked last minute. She kept coming back and forth - I did not know what was going on. She then eventually told me that she would work out what I owed them. I explained I had paid everything to Hotels.com. Tried to show her the receipt on my phone which she did not look at. She wrote on a bit of paper that I owed 931 ECD. I said that I did not owe anything as I had paid everything to Hotels.com. She said that reservations were not in and that it would all have to be worked out properly. Again, I said that I did not owe any more money. I was not allowed to check in until 4pm, which I already knew, so she told me to leave my case and come back at 4pm and she would have worked out what I owed. I again said that I owed nothing. I felt like I was being ripped off and did not feel safe to stay at this hotel as a single female. I could not afford to pay any more money. I was also unsure as to whether there actually was a room available as she had been so vague - I could not understand what she was trying to communicate to me. As a result of this and for my own safety, I booked an early flight back to the UK for the same day. When I collected my case the reception area was busy and her attitude had changed and she said to me "Miss, you don't actually owe any money". I took my case and left. Terrible experience for a solo female traveller. I love the Caribbean and that was my third trip to Saint Lucia and I have never experienced such rudeness and horrible attitude before. I have always been greeted with warmth and a friendly, reassuring welcome. I was shocked and appalled that I was treated in such a way as a paying guest. I felt unsafe and I booked a flight home. I am still waiting for any type of response and apology from the hotel and a refund.
rien a signalé
The hotel grounds and pool area are very nice. The rooms were adequate, but could have used some updating. The bathroom was adequate but the water pressure was poor on the second level, even through we changed rooms. The bathrooms also could have used ventilation fans. The property and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was included in our package and the servers were very attentive. We especially enjoyed Lee Ann Felix who was a regular server that we looked forward to having serve us. There was a variety of food choices for the breakfast, which was served at the Bay Gardens Hotel, next to the Bay Gardens Inn. A free shuttle was available to take us to the other properties: the Bay Gardens Marina Haven and the Bay Gardens Beach Resort which was right on the water.
Breakfast was average, but staff were very attentive. The shuttle service between the hotels was useful. Good air conditioning in the rooms.
Water pressure in rooms was not good. We changed rooms, but it deteriorated over time. Rooms were not updated. No fans in the bathroom. Not enough towel racks in the bathroom.
Their breakfast is top of the line. Rooms are very nice. Staff is very friendly
Great experience. Good people. Had a great time from arrival to departure. Customer service was great and would reverend it for future vacations. Location was great

Great property. Lovely staff
La proximité avec les commerces.
Le petit déjeuner. A 8h3o. Il ne restait plus grand chose. C'était bien triste . Nous étions déçu.. C'est un point important à revoir.. Pour la suite. Sinon ça gâche le séjour
Wonderful and friendly staff. Clean environment, great bar and restaurant. Not too far from the beach and close to shops and restaurants
Always nice place to stay
The property is located in the heart of everything the hotel is break fast is excellent the hotel staff very helpful and friendly
Sweet

Friendly staff. Very helpful
The bed was not very comfortable and I can’t say I felt 100% safe after the equivalent of 400 British Pounds was stolen from a family members suitcase in our other room which was for our boat excursions the next morning. The staff were not prompt in investigating the issue and suggested a family member stole the money. We did receive anything complimentary and since bringing up the issue the friendly hellos every morning turned into blank stares. We even were told we still had to pay for late checkout… If you are wondering why we didn’t use the safe. It doesn’t matter as they do not have keys for them. We made a police report but as of yet nothing has come from it. Also three out of the seven days we had locals knock our room with questionable reasons as to why they knocked the door. When they were told they had the wrong room they lingered a little before leaving. The country is great I just wouldn’t recommend this Bay Garden Inn or Bay Garden Hotel.
I came to St Lucia for the first time with my friend and her family for carnival season. For the most part we had no issues just little complaints to each other that the rooms were not properly cleaned and the food rubbish were always left in our room. The one day our room was spotless is the day a staff member took it upon themselves to go through our belongings and stole $1180 ec that we had for our excursion the next day. They told us they will involve the police but it is us who had to push for that to be a thing as they hadn’t called them. The police were very nice and told us the hotel staff are at fault and liable because they did not provide us with a key to the safe so even if we wanted to use it we are forced to use our own belongings to keep them safe, but they also can’t force them to compensate. It is disgusting how I paid for my room for the trip, I am allowing you as staff to enter my holiday residence when I am not there for you to steal. It is atrocious. We believe they looked at us and thought we are young people when we are actually all professional adults in government jobs within the uk…. St Lucia was beautiful I would definitely return again, but I will never stay in the bay gardens inn as looking at the reviews it’s not the first time and I’m sure it will not be the last.
Arrived at the hotel for carnival week. On day day 3 our money was stolen from the suitcase- £1180ec They said they would call the police only after 24hr had passed and I asked for an update I found they still had not reported the incident. The manager told the police she didn't call as we had gone out for the night which is a lie. The duty manager came to the room thw same night to explain she would investigate. The manager explained nothing looks out of place so ther3 is nothing that can be done. I asked foe a safe key, they said they need to call maintenance. Disgusting. Do not stay here
The hotel was clean and a safe place from which to do business.
Bay Gardens Inn is a beautiful inn! Tropical and the staff is so polite and helpful . The breakfast is too notch . I think the front door can be properly secured, the bathroom sink in our room be unclogged , and the shower itself needs a little more sprucing up. The bed and pillows comfy , air condition worked great! I think the hotel should allow guest to log in and out using their own user account for Netflix- if that is possible then I was not able too. It asks for a code that I couldn’t receive at front desk. Aside from this - wonderful tropical place , convenient and safe.
It was good.
The property was completely unacceptable. There were roaches all over the floor, and there was no microwave provided. Additionally, there was no soap or shampoo for my shower. I reported these issues to the staff multiple times, but they ignored me. When I spoke to the manager, she was unhelpful and refused to offer any compensation or assistance to improve my experience during my seven-day stay in St. Lucia. I strongly urge anyone considering this place to avoid it; it’s terrible, and the staff is equally disappointing. They show no respect for guests and seem more interested in receiving tips than providing help. The air conditioning was not functioning, and what frustrated me the most was the presence of large cockroaches everywhere. The property was not clean, and I did not receive any support. I asked for coffee, but they refused to show me where to find it. When I requested a bottle of water on a sweltering 90° day, I was told I would have to walk to another hotel to get it. This was, without a doubt, the worst place I have ever stayed, and I am seeking a full refund. Nothing was working as promised; the manager kept saying they would try to resolve the issues, but they never followed through. I felt lied to and neglected, as they clearly cared only about themselves. I have videos to prove my argument.
Upon arrival, the service was terrible, and there were roaches everywhere. Additionally, there was no microwave available, and the staff was unprofessional and unsightly.
Nice Hotel in great location.
Everything good in general
We had good time there
The location of the Inn is great. The cleanliness of the Inn was of a high standard. However, the overall experience there was average. I stayed for 10 nights with family and friends. The decor and furnishings are in need of refreshing and modernising. I booked through a travel agent and had I known that the Inn was the most 'basic' accommodation in the group, I would've stayed at one of other hotels. The staff were efficient and friendly, particular shout outs to Abdel, Harmony, Terry and Quincy (at the Hotel) and Candy and Curlis (both at the Beach Resort).
The breakfast every day was great . I also liked the fact that you got the perks of using the other related hotels.
Not much entertainment
Very good Rodney Bay hotel. Staff very friendly, large bedroom with excellent cleaning staff, very quiet (except for the tree frogs) and pool-side room - it was like having your own place. Full use of other Bay Gardens properties, including the Hotel next door with a decent restaurant and bar plus the Resort Hotel with beach facilities a mile away - regular shuttle bus. Close to supermarket and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.
The weather - we were unlucky and had a lot of rain - so take a lightweight rain jacket and an umbrella. Note the 90 minute transfer from the main airport - winding roads and very slow-going - but at least we saw more of the island!
My perception is that the Bay Gardens Inn is the poor relation to the Bay Gardens Hotel (next door) and Bay Gardens Beach Resort (a short drive away). I wish I’d understood this before booking. The staff at the Inn were pleasant enough and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard. BUT the furniture and general presentation of the rooms is waaay too dated. The furniture is chipped, my mattress was lumpy (room 250), the door to the room and associated lock was flimsy. I would rate this as 3* maximum.
This stay was terrible, the female security guard was so rude for no reason at all. Needed a stay before my airbnb was ready and after leaving a nice hotel to this was a terrible downgrade in every way.
The only staff that were pleasant were Petula (receptionist) and Kerwin (excursions staff). The people in the dining area (restaurant) were highly rude and disrespectful. There were no pleasantries even when guests said “good morning”. They don’t provide wash cloths and they don’t give a tour or explain amenities to the guests. There are no elevators so please be mindful of your luggage (staff will help with this but it may take a couple minutes especially if on the second floor. The ice machine was not easily located. There are no wash cloths and the towels often came spotty or dirty after room service changed them out. Do not use the water kettle even to heat up any bottles water as they were not clean. The way this facility is set up is not considerate. Staff seemed perturbed when you asked them ABOUT ANYTHING. I have never had this experience in any of the Caribbean islands that I’ve visited and I’ve been to Many islands. The bulletin board is not visible if you don’t come and look for it. Furniture is dated (bed creaked and made noises with changing the slightest positions). The transportation is NOT included so be prepared to pay round trip 240 to and from the lodging. I was highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the stay.
Terrible place, terrible staff.
Run down motel
I did not like the not cleaning and a lot of food out of the rooms
Good customer service and I really enjoyed my stay
The proximity to the shopping center and restaurants. The concierge was very helpful in arranging all our daily tours.
What was offered online when you get there opposite of everything
We booked through Blue Bay Travel and stayed in March. On check in we was not shown all of the facilities available to us, until the last few days when we discovered another pool area which was more peaceful. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable but the bathroom could do with updating. The food on most days was al la carte ,we actually prefer buffet style as you can see the food which was ok but lots of spice. Although the staff were very nice the service was very slow and sometimes we felt ignored. If you are all inclusive please check with your tour operator what is included as we had the same colour band as other guests but they had more entitlement's than us when using the beach hotel, we only had the use of the beach area and sunbeds. Definitely need more umbrellas around the pool areas as lack of shade. The bar ran out of diet coke after a couple of days and they kept saying there was a supply shortage but the other hotels and supermarket had some! Other beverages were also not available. We would rate this hotel as either a 2 or a maximum 3 star hotel. The actual place (Rodney Bay) was very nice but very expensive. If you need to ring reception or speak to reception for anything and they say they will call you back, don't hold your breath as you will have a long wait! On the basis of the above we don't think we will be staying at this hotel again.
Great!
Always make me feel welcome, everytime i come back, like I've never left home.
Lovely colonial vibe to this hotel, staff friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. Room was spacious, bathroom a bit dated and shower not much pressure. Pool area very clean at both sites, the pool at the Inn very quiet and plenty of sun beds. We were all inclusive but what we liked about it was not many buffets apart from breakfast you chose your lunch and dinner from a set menu and it was cooked fresh. Great location you can walk to the beach takes about 15 mins or you take the shuttle bus which goes every hour til about 10.15 in the evening. Hotel rep was good booked some trips and car hire. First impressions of Saint Lucia loved it and would definitely go back
Very sad room, terrible breakfast
Very beautiful environment. Close to shopping and the beach.
Peaceful and very relaxing
Check in is very late but we were able to leave our cases and explore. Very close to the mall and the Marina. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was pleasant and facing the pool. The bath area is a bit worn but ok. The beds by the pool could do with updating which seemed to be happening the day before I left. Shame you have to go to the other hotel just for drinks when lounging by the pool. Entertainment is lacking unfortunately.
