Room was really big and spacious and renovated
To get a beach bed, they all ask you for tips otherwise they tell you there is no space
I really enjoyed my stay at The Sindbad. The location is beautiful, right by the sea, with a relaxing atmosphere and lovely gardens. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall experience was very pleasant. The beach and pool area were especially enjoyable. Dear Mr. Akrout, I would like to sincerely thank you for your exceptional kindness and generosity during my recent stay at The Sindbad.
The stay was very nice overall. However, some areas could benefit from a little more maintenance and updating. I also think the service could be slightly more consistent during busy periods
We got upgraded to a suite. The suite was spacious and comfortable with a direct access to the beach. Huge thanks to the cleaning staff, especially Warda and her crew for the reactivity and special care that they provided us.
the lack of activities in the hotel. Other than the bars and restaurants there isn't much to do
Rien!
Everything was perfect I enjoyed everything in this hotel
Mr Fakhri was so professional and helpful
Its my first time and I was very happy and I enjoyed everything
Worst 5 star ever nothing good from rooms to food to beach . Loud music poor quality on all .don’t even think about it when u go to Tunisia worst experience ever .
Nothing good
The hotel is among rare facilities in Tunisia respecting and presenting the typical Tunisian architecture. You will feel yourself in a medina with a variety of trees and plants. Rooms ( size, quality of bed, shower dimensions, lighting, AC, bath). Staff Very friendly and trying to doing their best to make your stay comfortable. Cleanness of rooms and all the spaces overall. Food variety and quality. Pools and beach spaces well arranged and organized.
The beach and the pool and the room was very clean You could tell they had updated the room recently
The breakfast was very disappointing The staff of the beach and the wait staff were not always accommodating We asked multiple times for the soap dispenser to be refilled and never had soap.
Location. General Aspect, rooms
Food is not so nice. Lots of efforts should be made. 2:20min wait to be served at the Thai restaurant. Please renew the gym machines. It’s not of a 5* hotel standards
The beach, clear water.
The room: The smell was horrible and strongly smelled like sewage. After taking a shower, the water would flow outside of the shower area and into the bathroom, leaving us with what felt like a small lake on the floor. Staff beach services: no chairs available for hotel guests
La plage
Le personnel de la plage.
The room was serviced every day, which I guess was good.
Cleanliness - saw pool staff drying used towels and then setting them out again for different people to reuse. They weren't fresh towels every day. Gym - no air conditioning, towels (likely would have been dirty) or water. Basics for a gym. When asking for water, it was charged to your room. Equipment outdated, damaged and dirty. Buffet - there was quite a selection of food, but it lacked flavour and freshness. Ate it the first morning and never touched it after. Had the evening buffet once and same thing - no flavour. Dining room like a school canteen. 5 Star - this isn't a 5 Star standard hotel. At a push, it's 3 stars. Cost - they levied quite a fee for being a hotel environment on everything. Little cafe up the road where we ate one night for £11 (for two). The hotel buffet dinner was £60 (for two), and the cafe was tastier and fresher. Spa - best avoided. Unfortunately, I'd already had a treatment before I saw the pool towels being reused, so it's likely something similar happens here. Wouldn't go back for free ;)
On reviendra sûrement.
We spent a week at the Sindbad Hotel for a relaxing vacation filled with sunshine, sea, swimming and plenty of time on the beach. We truly enjoyed our stay. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Our room was clean and bright, with pleasantly quiet air conditioning. Although the hotel accommodates many guests, we could always find a calm and pleasant spot—either on the beach or just above the waterfront, with a beautiful sea view—to enjoy a drink while looking out over the water. The staff were exceptionally friendly. We felt very welcome, well looked after and completely at ease throughout our stay. Simply wonderful! A very special thank-you goes to “our” plagiste, Lotfi. He was incredibly friendly, attentive and caring, and made us feel safe and relaxed on the beach. His warm and helpful nature made our holiday even more enjoyable. Simply superb! We will definitely come back!
Sesse excellent service polite hard working, happy with a smile all the time, could not do enough for us
Fantastic hotel, not overly busy in the pools and the staff are helpful and accommodating.
Overall, it was a good hotel in general, though the breakfast and dinner options were only acceptable with not much variety. Additionally, it is not very suitable for families, as they host weekend parties that tend to be quite loud and go on late into the night. A special thanks to Mr. Sami from the dinner team for his wonderful service.
Sammy and others in the dinning room where absolutely amazing! Friendly, reliable and helpful. Well done and thank you all
Sami was incredible. His customer service was excellent nothing was too much! His knowledge of wine, cocktails and how they paired with foods, meats, etc, is the best I have experienced. If I could give 10 out of 5, I would. His attention to detail, and his command of both English, French & Arabic is superb. This hotel was our first time in North Africa, and because of this experience, we will return.
Bella piscina e zona mare peefetta
Un po' caro
Many restaurants and bars
The hotel does not have taxis
Amazing sea ,views ,nice staff and highly recomend it for couples .
We had such a wonderful time at the hotel. In particular, breakfast and dinner was exceptional at the Sheherazade. We had such a great service from the team, especially our fabulous waiter, Hafedh. He went above and beyond, always ensuring we had a smile on our faces. Lots of laughs were had beyond the great service. It was astounding how quickly, efficiently and attentively staff catered to our needs, often without being asked. They made our stay enjoyable and memorable. We would love to come back again. On the whole, the hotel was fantastic- all the amenities were great and staff were quick to resolve any issues that arose, when needed.
Beautiful hotel and excellent service and food in the restaurant, Havel our waiter was fantastic, nothing was to much trouble.
We had an amazing stay at the Sindbad Hotel in Tunisia. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with lovely surroundings, a fantastic atmosphere, and plenty to do. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome, and we had such a fun and relaxing holiday. A special thank you to Hafedh, Bilel, and Aziz in the restaurant. They truly made our stay extra special. They were always so kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful, and their service was outstanding every single day. They always greeted us with a smile, made us laugh, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They are a real credit to the hotel and were a big reason our holiday was so memorable. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday!
I would recommend the Sindbad hotel to anybody interested due to multiple reasons, however these are the ones that stood out to me the most and made my stay so special. The hotel is situated in such an idyllic spot, with multiple pools and a beach, as well as frequent event whilst only being a short journey from both the old town and Yasmin Hammamett, you will not find yourself short of options in both the day and night. The staff from the reception to the cleaning crew also also complimented the visit, any problems were dealt with instantly and rooms were made sparkling clean at the beginning of each day typically whilst we were at breakfast. The staff who work along the beach throughout the day were also incredibly attentive and quick to help with anything too. Most importantly, the staff at the Schahrazed (main buffet) restaurant is what I will miss the most. I would like to personally thanks Bilel, Aziz, and Hafedh for how happy they made me and my family over our two week stay, from having our drinks ready on the table upon arrival every morning and evening to being so knowledgeable about the local area and what we can do, and also for how much they were able to make us laugh and smile along the way - these people solidify my belief of how great this hotel truly is.
Personnel très accueillant et serviable
Always great to go back to The Sindbad!! The best place to chill with my husband or the whole family. I have been going there since I was a teenager and after I left Tunisia, I always try to go back whenever possible. Never changed, always calm, clean and the quiet luxury I love. The staff are always amazing!!!
Thus time the AC was very loud and did not cool the rooms well. it was not easy to sleep with the noise it made. It was a big heat wave so i guessed it was just too much for an old system…That was not our experience the last time we were there. It was not a big deal for a couple nights though, we did not feel the need to bring it up to the staff.
The hotel was amazing especially the food in the restaurant and the restaurant staff. The service was incredible, and they were always up for a laugh especially Hafedh, Bilel and Aziz they made our holiday!!
We had a wonderful stay at Sindbad Hotel. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere was peaceful, and everything was clean and well maintained. The location is perfect, and we truly enjoyed every moment. We'd definitely love to come back!
My experience here was brilliant! The food is really nice with loads of options! But best of all was the service in the restaurant. In particular Hafedh, Bilel and Aziz. They were amazing! The perfect balance of professionalism and fun. From the second you walk in they would make you feel like a king whilst simultaneously adding to the experience with their great humour! I couldn't recommend more!
We just returned from a truly memorable family holiday at the Simbad Hotel in Tunisia, and a major reason our trip was so special was the incredible waiting staff. We wanted to give a huge, heartfelt shout-out to three individuals in particular: Hafedh, Bilel, and Aziz. They were the absolute highlight of our dining experience. Right from the first day, they were the definition of professional. They anticipated our needs and made sure everything was perfect. But beyond that, they were so full of humor and genuine kindness. They always took a moment to check in, share a laugh, and make our family feel incredibly welcome. It's rare to find service that is both top-notch and also so personally warm. Their positive energy and dedication to making us happy made every meal feel like a special occasion. If you're planning a trip to the Simbad Hotel, you have to look out for Hafedh, Bilel, and Aziz. They will absolutely elevate your experience. Thank you so much to all three of you for making our holiday truly unforgettable. We hope to see you again in the future!
We had an amazing stay at the Sindbad Hotel with our family. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, with exceptional quality and an incredible variety to suit every taste. The service was truly impeccable—I can honestly say I've never experienced hospitality quite like it. We were especially lucky to be looked after by the best waiters in the main restaurant: Hafedh, Bilel, and Aziz. They were incredibly attentive, often anticipating what we needed before we even asked. Beyond their professionalism, they were warm, friendly, and genuinely funny. They made us laugh every day and played a huge part in making our holiday so memorable. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back!
The Sindbad Hammamet is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic atmosphere. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall service is excellent. A special mention goes to the Pool Club team, who were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable.
The only downside was the dinner buffet, which offered very limited variety and could be significantly improved. Apart from that, everything else was excellent, and I would definitely recommend the hotel for a relaxing stay.
Habitación Es grande. Playa
We stayed here 3 days. Everyone on staff was great and very helpful. When we had an issue with one of our rooms. They helped us change to a different room swiftly. Thank you to everyone. Especially to Sami who we met at the hotel buffet and helped every time we dined there.
We had a great stay at the Sinbad. The room was lovely and all the staff were very helpful. The restaurants staff are brilliant. They are funny, encouraging and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Mafedh our waiter was incredibly helpful and was more than encouraging of my trying to learn simple phrases in Arabic ... 'thank you'. The food was lovely and the bbq smelt delicious every night. There was a good selection of food and the fruit was so fresh. It was so nice to try the different desserts each night. Wish we wer staying longer. We had a great stay.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole all’Hotel The Sindibad.

The security staff is amazing : specially Hedi. He helped us with the baby. They accommodated us with a beautiful room close to the pool.
Sometimes it is complicated to find a place in the beach
Very nice hotel, tasty food, super friendly and excellent staff - especially Hafedh and Bilel.
We had a really nice stay at the hotel. It is a large hotel with many well maintained pools and restaurants. But the most stand out feature of the hotel is the staff. It is the friendliest and most helpful staff you will find and it is an absolute delight staying at the hotel because of them. I highly recommend this hotel!
This place is awesome, not only because of the facilities, but because of the staff. All the guys serving you at breakfast and dinner are so fantastically serviceminded and genuinely kind it warms your heart and keeps you happy. They care for your needs without a glitch. No one named and no one forgotten. It’s just something else. The room cleaning lady is suuuper, and just everything works smoothly and with a professionalism and genuine kindness. I’m blown away. Perfect place to relax and be taken care of.
Spent a pleasant and vey hot week at the Sindbad Hotel We were looking for a cheap-ish week getaway and Tunisia fit that bill The hotel is located at the end of Hammamet bay so was the last drop off on the coach, about 50 mins from the airport Few things to be mindful of: Hotel The hotel appears to be undergoing a huge maintenance upgrade with the Maintenance crew visible all day long repairing and upgrading all areas of the hotel. We had a few minor issues in the room but the maintenance team were quick to react and solve for us Pool The infinity pool that appears in a lot of the marketing for the hotel is located down at the beach. But the surround of the pool is set mainly for seating and eating so difficult to layback and relax. The bar area also gets very busy to hotel non-residents, particularly at the weekend. There is another larger pool area behind reception, less picturesque but great for relaxing, tanning & swimming/cooling off. Again this area is open to non residents so can be busy at weekends and in the afternoon after school. However the Life guard was fantastic and made sure the residents of the hotel were not inconvenienced in the pool (as much as possible). The indoor pool was closed (looked like for maintenance) Beach The images of the beach show plenty of space and a short walk to the sea. However this isn’t the case. On rough sea days there is only one row of parasols, 2 rows on a calm day, but the sea does lap up to the seats. Lots of beach furniture is stacked but unable to be used due to limited space. The beach does get busy with the locals, again at weekends and late afternoon. The beach attendants do ensure hotel guests get the parasols first, but looks like the beach fills up quickly with large groups. Popular, but over crowded But in the positives: Rooms Rooms are large and well appointed. Good AC which is needed when the temperature hits 37*C thru the day Staff All the staff are polite and helpful, understanding they are speaking 3 or 4 languages for all the guests. In particular the team in the restaurant, we were looked after by Hafedh who catered for everything we needed as we helped our self to the buffet The life guard around the pool was brilliant and reserved a space for us each day at the pool for a small gratuity (we offered, he didn’t ask). He was friendly and helpful, also interacting with the kids in the pool offering pool toys and swimming lessons The housekeeping team were great and our room was cleaned to a high standard every day- Inc fresh flower petals on the bed daily Food We were half board so were presented morning and evening with a vast buffet. The breakfast buffet was full and more than you could ask for. While each evening the theme changed for the buffet and included a BBQ option cooked fresh in the grill outside For a week away in the “scorching” sun the hotel was ideal. The surrounding area is pretty much on a busy main road so not much to do very locally, although there is a marina and plenty of other beach to visit along Hammamet bay
Best beach in town
depending on where you sit in the beach, the service can be great on one side and mediocre on another side
The staff was lovely throughout my whole stay here, always making sure I was alright and had everything I needed. Hafedh greeted us for breakfast and dinner everyday and always had nice conversations making our night more fun.
Very good service from Hafedh in the Sheherazade buffet and in general all the waiters and cleaning ladies are lovely and maintain a very nice and clean atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Beach and pool are located just outside the rooms barley a 2 minute walk as well.

The shahrazed restaurant was amazing especially hafedh and bilal, the service was impeccable would recommend. Great food too!
We had an amazing experience dining at the Shahrazed Restaurant at The Sindbad Hotel. The food was outstanding every day, with a fantastic variety of fresh, delicious dishes that catered to everyone. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavour, making every meal something to look forward to. What really made our experience special was the exceptional service. A huge thank you to Hafedh and Bilel, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were friendly, attentive, professional, and always had a smile on their faces. Their hospitality truly made a difference and made our holiday even more enjoyable. We highly recommend the Shahrazed Restaurant to anyone staying at The Sindbad Hotel. Great food, fantastic atmosphere, and outstanding staff. We can’t wait to come back!
The Schahrazed restaurant and its staff, headed up by Head Waiter Hafedh have been excellent and really looked after us and made our stay a memorable one. The evening buffets with different themes were lovely and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and made a great effort to make us both feel very welcome. A good sense of humour was always evident with some friendly banter each evening. Would be very happen were we to return.
We’re very satisfied good service from Hafedh
Had lovely spacious room with terrace, Food was amazing, was buffet for breakfast and dinner, had very good choice and was different each night, also did have a’ la carte menu one night. The staff can’t do enough for you special mention to Walid and Mohamed in restaurant all staff are so friendly. The hotel is very tranquil surrounded by beautiful gardens with 2 great pools and plenty of bars our favourite was the Moon bar, Pub Bar 19 was also very good. The beach is beautiful, the hotel is very clean and beautifully maintained will definitely be going back again.
Ok, firstly this is a stunning hotel, the gardens, decor, position on the beach is all wonderful. We had a few issues with our room and in hindsight we should have just made a bit more fuss earlier on, things will get sorted out but you do need to be persistent. We noticed a smell like sewage in our room coming from the air conditioning unit, it wasn't there all the time but when it did come through it was awful. After waking up on the second night by the smell we complained and after a few delays we were moved to the room next door. Almost immediately hammering and drilling started up and we assumed this must be someone fixing the air conditioning but it went on for another two days, starting at 9am and going on until late afternoon. We complained about this and Mr Mohamed got straight on the phone to someone, shouted at them for about 5 minutes in front of us and then said it should now be sorted! No noise after that. Last issue was that in our new room there started to be a strong smell of oil or petrol again coming through the air conditioning! Again we complained and were offered a complimentary lunch in the beach restaurant. Finally the smell went. The beach is very narrow with a few rows of sunbeds. There seems to be a huge number of staff at the beach but not doing very much. Whenever we went down to get a sunbed we were ignored and when I ordered a drink it never appeared. We ended up helping ourselves to sunbeds and towels and taking our own drinks from the local shop. The sea is stunning, so clear, you can see the bottom even with the water up to your shoulders. I bought a snorkel and there are lots of fish, just two types but lots of them. Also there were amazing blue barrel jellyfish, apparently these only give a very mild sting but best to keep your distance. Also lovely are the swallows flying low over the water. There is a pool near the beach but we didn't go in this as it felt a bit public, right in the middle of the tables and chairs where people are eating. For me, the nicest area is the pool directly behind reception. It was always calm and quiet, very attentive gentleman putting out sunbeds and towels and moving on any rowdy children! The area is paved with a lovely smooth stone, like soapstone which was so nice to feel on bare feet. This area also doubles as a seating area for Le Chiraz restaurant at night and we had some pudding and wine here one evening by the pool in the company of a little cat. Excellent staff. We went breakfast only. It was ok, I would say there's a wide selection. One morning I had to spit the fruit salad out as it was fermenting so who knows how long that had been sitting around. Also there were lots of flies, they were trying to keep them off with fans and in the heat they are always a problem but maybe more food needs to be covered. The restaurant with the breakfast is very impressive with a big domed ceiling or you can sit outside. We were a bit surprised to be met outside breakfast on our first morning by a guy trying to sell us a quad bike excursion, I wasn't prepared for this actually inside the hotel but if you aren't interested just be firm. I booked a session in the spa, Ramsey who sits in the reception area helped me decide what to have with and suggested a hamman bubble bath. I was imagining a bubble bath with scented oils and petals floating by candlelight but not quite! I was greeted by Monia who thankfully was a little bossy as I had no idea what to do. Started with 10 minutes in the steam room, then lying on a plastic covered table and being soaped and scrubbed all over even my hair, then being showered down. Certainly exhilarating and I felt very clean! Then she took me to a room where i had a mint tea and then had an amazing massage with warm sesame oil - apparently ideal if you're very stressed. Was really great, unhurried, definitely worth it. Cost around £50 for everything and I was there about 2 hours. A little bit of pressure selling at the end in reception, again you need to be firm. I did end up buying some honey face scrub that smells amazing. Other things - saw someone else's advice to take a kettle. Very important if like me you live on tea. Took my own teabags and ended up buying a mug as nothing in room. I bought something that looked like semi skimmed milk from a local shop which the shopkeeper seemed to think was very amusing. When I looked it up it is some kind of fermented milk which is important in Tunisian cooking. I'm afraid I didn't try it but got used to having black tea. There are local shops quite a long walk from the hotel. One to the right is closer but more expensive, to the left there is a small shop and good supermarket. Do be very careful crossing the road. It is really busy and the pedestrian crossings do not mean anything so don't expect people to stop. Also of course, cars are driving on the right. Also the pavements are pretty rough, you need to watch where you are walking. It was nice to walk around and see some life outside the hotel but once we had discovered the taxis we always used these. They are everywhere, just flag them down and agree a price before you get in. To the old medina we paid 10 dinar to Yasmine Hammamet it was 15. Don't drink the water, even for cleaning your teeth. The old medina is an experience that brought me close to tears. It looks such an interesting place but you can't take a step without being hassled and before you know it you're in a bidding war over some tat you wouldn't look at twice at home. We did a bit of haggling but I found the whole thing horribly intense and stressful. My partner who is a wheeler dealer at home and abroad quite enjoyed it. Walking around the back of the medina was beautiful, there were hundreds of swifts in the old walls and also a peaceful cemetery. We didn't go in but can see over the wall at the beautiful tiles, trees and cats lazing about. There was also some interesting shops in the streets away from the medina, many with fixed prices. Overall I was very interested by Tunisia, definitely worth visiting and very beautiful.
This will be long but I want to be fair. This hotel is advertised as 5* and we booked through Easyjet holidays. It is NOT 5* and I have no idea how the reviews are so good and it has such a high score on trip advisor, I think I'll have to review my reliance on tripadvisor as independent. This hotel is 3* at a stretch. The first room we were given was very small, had twin beds (we requested a double) and literally had an awful smell. We immediately went to the manager and complained and were shown another room. This room had a double bed and was much bigger and didn't smell. We were told this was the only other room available so we took it. Thankfully we could change rooms. Unfortunately the shower tiles were dirty and the room was so dated and old fashioned. The floor tiles were also questionable in their cleanliness with the grouting being grubby and coming out. We booked a sea view double room with terrace or balcony. Despite being told by the manager and general manager this was one of the best rooms and requested repeatedly by visitors, you couldn't see the sea from the room itself and on the terrance you could barely see it standing and not at all sitting. Fair enough, it faced the sea so technically was a sea view room. Unfortunately the terrace was unusable, it was dirty, covered in leaves and ants, this included the umbrella and table and chairs. They were everywhere. I realise it is a garden hotel so surrounded by gardens but I've lived abroad in hot countries and you can prevent ants on the terraces etc. Despite repeated requests to clear/spray the terrace so we could use it, these requests were ignored. I think they did sweep one day but not very well. They did put a table cloth on the table. The general manager told us that he used 4 companies for pest control and it wasn't a problem. It was a problem for us as we like to sit on our balcony or terrace after dinner and enjoy the sea view, this was not possible as we couldn't see the sea and there were ants everywhere. I got 13 bites the first night sitting there for an hour, never sat there again. There was a wedding the day we arrived and a letter saying there would be loud music from 10pm to 3am. Luckily I'm a good sleeper and it didn't affect me so much, but other couples we spoke to couldn't sleep at all and my partner struggled to sleep. The hotel said there was minimal disruption, despite the fact the pool was out of use all afternoon. But in fairness there is another pool and a beach area, although the beach area was packed with outside visitors so couldn't get a bed. The beach front was lovely, but unfortunately it is used by others not just hotel guests so at week-ends it was impossible to get a bed unless you got there at the crack of dawn. The safe in the room was broken so we had to keep our valuables with us. This was reported. The reception counter was very dirty on arrival and throughout our stay so that was an indicator on arrival. Plus the reception staff did not even acknowledge us for a good while when we arrived, they were busy with the wedding guests I can only assume. The seats and tables around the pool bar/restaurant area were dirty and covered in leaves. We did sit and have a beer there one day but couldn't find a clean table despite it being empty. The shower in our room was mouldy, black and unkempt. There are 5* facilities as in there are 3 pools and a gym and it's beachfront. But they are very questionable and that's being generous. If you wanted to use the indoor pool (we didn't) it was closed off with tape all week. The tiles on the infinity pool were so dirty and falling off that I wouldn't swim in it. The gym was a room off one of the pools, tiny (that's OK if it has the equipment), not air conditioned (in 32 degree heat) and the machinery was so old it was rusty. We are that sad couple that likes to go to the gym before breakfast or in the afternoon if not out and about. We had breakfast and dinner included in our holiday, first time we've done this. The dining room was like a school canteen, blinds were falling off and broken, it was buffet and a bbq meat or fish every evening. Sounds great, but the food was mediocre, but we were fed every night and it had a good mix of food. I ended up mostly eating pizza and salads. The food always looked good, but everything was disappointing when tasted, tough meat, cold chips etc, (other than the baklava which was delicious). Nice fruit, melon and dates etc. The fish was good. There was a good choice but it wasn't up to scratch for a 5* hotel. There were flies all over the dining room/canteen. The food displays had little fans above a lot of them to keep the flies off so obviously known. I went to get some food one evening and came back and my wine glass (full glass) with a very large fly in it, the waiter took the glass and poured me a fresh glass from our bottle but never offered to get me another glass to replace the one he took away. Our transfer coach to the hotel was a large shared coach which was air conditioned. Our transfer back to the aiport was a 10 seater (including the 2 front seats) which was dirty, not airconditioned (in 32 degree heat) and we were literally 10 people squashed in every seat. We have been on 2 other Easyjet holidays in the past 12 months which were both 5* hotels and they were 5* and lived up to expectations, this was terrible. FYI the others were in Agios Nikolaus Crete (Intercontinental Hotel) and Agadir Morocco (The View Hotel, highly recommend). As I said it may have technically had the facilities to make it 5* as in the pools and gym etc but absolutely they were run down other than the gardens which they seemed particularly proud of. On the plus side, the gardens were nice, it's right on the beach which is lovely, small area but sandy, and the sea was a beautiful temperature and a joy to swim in. This hotel is so dated it belongs in the 90s. Having said all that, I could not fault the staff in the restaurant or housekeeping. The manager and general manager were another matter and seemed exasperated because we complained and told us that lots of people love the hotel and the gardens and did we expect a high rise building, did we not investigate the hotel before we came, it's great because of its well kept gardens!). You can't sleep in a well kept garden nor could we sit in the well kept gardens. The hotel had no soul, was grubby and dated. There were 2 old guys singing with a keyboard every night in the bar area, I felt sorry for them as there was nobody around, so they were singing to themselves. Another night there was a Russian dance troupe who came and danced for an hour at the pool area, literally laughable, they were terrible. ( I don't book hotels that do entertainment for a reason). But having said that I felt sorry for them too as there were probaly about 6 people there. No atmosphere at all in the hotel. But as I said the staff in the canteen/main restaurant are amazing, so welcoming and lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I think that is just the Tunisian way, the people are lovely. We spoke to several other couples there throughout the week and all said that they complained about their rooms and several other things, this was without us asking, we wanted to put it aside for the week and try to enjoy what we could. Sorry to say this was not an acceptable holiday and I have NO idea how this is so highly rated on Tripadvisor. Strangely, the housekeeper and restaurant staff asked us to rate it on tripadvisor and please give them 5 stars not less as it was really important. They were quite insistent. I said I would rate it when I get home and ensure that his rating was good but I can't say the same for the rest of the hotel or the facilities. Not sure if I can respond to questions on this but happy to do so if anyone wants any details. Go ahead and book if you want a nice getaway but don't expect 5*, this is 3* at a push. Hammament is a nice place and we could walk to the town and there was a small supermarket nearby. It is in old Hammamet thankfully and not yasmine Hammamet which is full of tacky tourist bars (Rovers Return) and is a purpose built tourist area. This hotel is a good location and has a good cultural centre with small ampitheatre and roman house within walking distance. It's also nice to walk into the town, it's not too touristy which is good. I've tried to upload videos showing the ants all over the umbrella and terrace but it won't accept it. Nor will it accept a video of a terrace area with broken planks (one of which gave way under me walking on it). My advice, look elsewhere if you want 5*, but if you're happy with basic rooms and poor upkeep but just want somewhere on the beach and in a good area, go ahead. I think we had 5* expectations and were bitterly disappointed. If you made it through this review, well done!
Personnel Pas d’entretien

From start to finish this hotel could not do enough for us the care and service we have received has been tremendous food is delicious and the waiters make the experience a joy every evening Especially Hafedh and his team Bilel , Wael have been a pleasure such lovey guys. The house keeping made sure our room was always a please to enter after a hot day in the sun. Clean and tidy and delivers what it says on the tin. WELL DONE 👏
I stayed here in June 2026. The hotel facilities are wonderful, clean, modern. A wide selection of food is available via the buffet, and prices are very reasonable. The hotel spa, swimming pools, and beach access is great too. The service is top notch and my server for the week, (Hafadah) was absolutely amazing.
Nous sommes habitués dans cet hôtel. Parfait pour ma petite fille de 11 ans
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such an amazing stay that I felt I had to. The staff were excellent throughout my holiday and always attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was fantastic, with exceptional service from Hafedh, who really made every meal enjoyable. This was my first ever solo holiday, and I was a little nervous, but all of the staff made me feel completely at ease. I’d also like to give a special mention to the reception team, especially Mohammed Djelassi, the security team, particularly Ramzi, and all of the beach club staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. If I ever return, I will 100% be staying at the Sindbad Hotel again. Thank you all for making my holiday such a wonderful experience.
Sassi is amazing around the main pool area , works hard and advised me on a different wine . Great hotel in a top location , I would return. Good food and large bedrooms with a garden terrace.

Excellent food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Every visit was a pleasure. Thank you for making our evenings so enjoyable! 🌙✨
We stayed at Sindbad Hotel Hammamet for one week and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The standout aspect of our stay was the exceptional service from the restaurant staff, especially Hafedh. It was my birthday during our holiday, and he went above and beyond to make it truly special. He arranged a beautiful flower display on our table, organised a birthday cake, and had everyone sing Happy Birthday to me. He even surprised me with a thoughtful gift, which was such a lovely gesture and made the day unforgettable. Hafedh and the rest of the dinner staff were always incredibly attentive and friendly. They consistently ensured our chairs were tucked out and back in for us and made us feel genuinely welcomed every evening. Breakfast was equally enjoyable thanks to another fantastic member of staff, Bilel. Every morning, he made sure our juice was ready for us and prepared our coffee, providing the same warm and attentive service that made us feel so well looked after. The buffet offered a great variety of tasty food throughout our stay, with something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor grilling station where fresh food was always being prepared. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel also has a lovely private beach, with sun loungers and towels included, making it easy to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The infinity pool was absolutely beautiful and one of our favourite places to spend time. We also loved the pool bar, which had a lovely, relaxing atmosphere and was the perfect place to unwind with a drink. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend Sindbad Hotel Hammamet. The outstanding staff, beautiful facilities, and personal touches made our holiday truly memorable, and we look forward to returning in the future.
Nice hotel with beautiful settings. All the staff are very friendly, polite and welcoming. Great choice of food nice selection for vegetarians. Beautiful beach, rooms are very clean. Thank you to you all for making my stay memorable.
Just returned home from a wonderful 12 nights at Sindbad hotel. All aspects exceedes our expectations . We had a ground floor room with a patio area. Recently refurbished in a stylish way. We stayed Half board which was great. Although can I say probably too much choice in the Buffet, which can be a little overwhelming. But great variety and changes each night. As the hotel was so busy with occupants and events , we only had the Al a Carte Menu on 1 occasion. We were looked after so well, by Hafedh in the evenings and Walid at Breakfast. Both genuinely lovely people, who paid attention to all the little details that helped make our visit. Professional and remembering our preferences. Also I want to mention Najwa , who made created beautiful flower displays in our room, day after day. Khalil made sure that we had everything we needed pool side . Again service I haven't ever received before. Be mindful that this can be a busy hotel with external visitors, at the weekend to the beach and pool bar, but you will always be round a spot on the beach. The rest of the week the beach is much quieter, peaceful and beautiful, bar a day when there were visitors from from a cruise liner for the day. The beach and sea, are clean and safe. This shows how popular the hotel is, which is great overall. We would love to come back some day.
Our hotel experience was fantastic. We were surprised about the level of attentive service that we got. The hotel is by no means perfect, if you look closely you can see that it needs a bit of TLC. But saying that, it was very clean and tidy, the staff were excellent, the room was cleaned every day. They were in the process of doing some room and ground works, but we didn't find it annoying, it has to happen at some time. We were looked after from day one, from the check in right through to check out. There was a party on the night we arrived and all the locals come to enjoy, but after that we noticed that the hotel was calm and quiet, we could go down to the moon bar and infinity pool area and there was always a seat area free for us. The pool staff looked after us very well. There is a second pool/ bar area up near the main lounges and restaurants. A special shout out to Wael and Walid who looked after us superbly and had a good laugh with us, well done guys! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Such an amazing hotel - the staff are incredible (especially Hafedfh!), the food is delicious and the location is absolutely gorgeous. We haven’t even left and I’m desperate to come again!
