Good location

The hotel was old and tired looking. Facilities in the rooms were very basic. No parking available at the hotel. Steep slope to get to the reception.

Room was spacious as it was a suite and we highly recommend it for families as there were separate rooms with separate aircondition which was very pleasant as we each prefer to sleep with different temperature. The mattress for the sofabed was also very comfortable. And the location of the hotel was very ideal as it is walking distance from the Oldtown as well as other restaurants.

The pillows were quite hard which made it slightly harder to sleep and the view from our suite, which was on the 5th floor, had a partially blocked sea view due to the restaurant roof blocking it.

We had booked a one-bedroom suite for our family of three, and were upgraded on arrival to a two-bedroom suite, which was great. The apartment was huge and we had a big balcony with a seating arrangement and a large table and chairs, with view to the sea and the fort. The room was well air conditioned. The walk into the city center was about 20 minutes. We waited until late afternoon to go, as it was very hot. The breakfast buffet offered a large choice, including plenty of fresh fruit. Our breakfast table had a view on the pool, so we could watch the other guests coming to reserve all the deck chairs before going to breakfast. We were lucky to find a parking space right in front of the hotel on arrival. The young man at the reception was extremely helpful: he took plenty of time to recommend the best restaurants, also the ones where the locals go, and to answer all our questions regarding sightseeing and shopping.

The toilet leaked, making a puddle every time we flushed. We could see in the guestbook that a previous guest had already noticed this. We informed the reception who said they would take care of it.

Superbe adresse, à 20 minutes à pied du centre historique de Rethymnon. Appartements spacieux, climatisés, bien exposés avec une vue magnifique. Piscine agréable, petit déjeuner divers, restaurant à la carte raisonnable avec une superbe vue. Rethymnon est idéalement placé pour les visites dans toute l'île. Un must.

Anche se la struttura è un po’ datata, è perfettamente manutenuta, pulita, confortevole e dotata di ogni accessorio utile. La nostra camera, dotata anche di una cucina, aveva un terrazzino spettacolare che affaccia sul mare. Colazione eccezionale, ogni giorno la cucina della struttura realizza una o più preparazioni di pietanze locali diverse ogni giorno.

La vue était magnifique. L’appartement était grand et très fonctionnel: La piscine et la gentillesse du personnel. Petit déjeuner très copieux

Peut être un peu cher

Perfect views from almost every room. Staff were fabulous and rooms were large. We had a sea view and massive balcony which was perfect .

It’s a little further than I anticipated from Rethymno old town and beaches . There is a beach across the road but the main beaches are east of the old town which is quite a walk in the heat. We ended up catching a taxi to old town as it was just too hot for even a 15 min walk .

It’s a lovely property and my suite was gorgeous with wonderful sea views. Terrific breakfast and lovely , helpful staff.

Enige verbeterpunt: de badkamer. Die is eerder ouderwets (douche in bad in plaats van aparte douche, ook eerder verouderd badkamermeubel dat zeker aan vernieuwing toe was)

Jacuzzi suite was erg aangenaam. Personeel was top. Ontbijt ook prima. Locatie iets buiten het stadje (~10min wandelen) maar ideaal als je een huurauto hebt om te parkeren en als uitvalsbasis te gebruiken.

The staff here were exceptional. They couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. The suite we booked was exactly as described and we were delighted with all aspects of our stay.

L'emplacement, l'accueil, la terrasse, les piscines, le jakusy, le panier repas en cas d'impossibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner, le peignoir, le ménage et changement des serviettes journalières, la grandeur de la terrasse, du séjour, de la chambre et du lit, la clim.

La qualité du petit déjeuner est inférieure à l'an dernier, pas de café servi à table, pas de Yaourt divers, l'allumage du SAUNA a fait sauter l'électricité branchement obsolète sur la terrasse, l'horaire du petit déjeuner est beaucoup trop tard déjà signalé l'an dernier.

Un bel établissement où il fait bon vivre, la gentillesse du personnel, la propreté des lieux et une vue incroyable. Bravo à toute l’équipe 😀

Le matelas qui était un peu trop mou

I had a sea front view which was the highlight for me. I also had a really large balcony which had a dining table and also comfortable large wicker chairs for relaxing. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I thought the bathroom needed an update. There was a large jacuzzi bath which occupied the main floor space in the bathroom with a shower head above the bath. Some of the tiles were cracked and in need of replacement and updating. The kitchen area had an old style oven and when turning the oven on trips the electric circuit.. There was no microwave in the kitchen. The electricity circuit tripped three times during my stay which was inconvenient.

Although it is not far from the centre, it is located on a hill which makes walking a bit unpleasant especially during summer months and with a family.

When we were greeted upon our arrival, the receptionist seemed displeased that one of our dogs was on the larger size, however, when I booked the reservation and requested to bring the dogs, there were no questions about size. The rest of the staff were friendly.

Gut geführtes, komfortables Hotel in guter Lage, etwas westlich von Altstadt und Festung. Sehr freundliches Personal (besonders hervorzuheben sind die Dame beim Frühstück und der "ältere Herr" an der Rezeption). Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig und mit guter Auswahl, z. T. mit typisch kretischen Dingen. Dem Wunsch nach glutenfreiem Brot wurde problemlos nachgekommen; an den meisten Tagen gab es glutenfreie Extras (Pancakes, Crepes ...). Unsere "Superior Suiten" waren geräumig und hatten einen schönen Meerblick. Eine Jalousie sorgte für gute Verdunkelung und dämmte gut die Außengeräusche (Straße zwischen Hotel und Meer). Ansprechende Architektur. Im Restaurant faire Preise und gutes Essen.

Hier gibt es eigentlich nichts zu erwähnen. Beim Vergleich zu manchen anderen (kritischeren) Bewertungen ist evtl. zu beachten, dass unser Aufenthalt in der Nebensaison stattfand, in der das Hotel nicht ausgelastet war.

Grundsätzlich ist die Lage sehr in Ordnung. Wir waren 4 Nächte mit Motorrädern vor Ort. Wir buchten ein großes Appartement mit großer Terrasse. Das war wirklich groß mit Block auf den Pool und das Meer.

Für die Parksituation können sie nichts. Mit Motorrädern noch schwieriger, da es sehr steil ist vorm Hotel. Wir waren aber vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis etwas enttäuscht. Unser Zimmer bräuchte dringend schon eine Sanierung. Großer Teil der Ausstattung ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen.

היינו שש נפשות דירה עם נוף מקסים לים, מרווחת, ניקיון והחלפת מגבות מידי בוקר, מאוד מאוד נוחה ונעימה. צוות אדיב ונעים בקבלה, במסעדה, בספא. מקסימים ומסבירי פנים, גם מנהלת המלון. מיקום מצוין, על הים וקרוב מאוד למרכז העיר, כמה דק הליכה הייתה חוויה מופלאה ומומלצת מאוד

Avstanden til sentrum var ok. Renhold var bra.

Hotellet svarte ikke til forventningene som beskrivelsene og bildene skulle tilsi. Det var ukomfortable senger med vonde puter. Hotellet opplevdes lite oppgradert og noe slitt. Varmrettene på frokosten var aldri varme. Det var en trafikkert vei mellom hotellet og sjøen, med mye trafikkstøy. Beliggenheten var ok med tanke på avstand til sentrum, men vil anbefale å heller bo på andre siden av byen nærmere strandpromenaden.

Mooi hotel, uitgebreid ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel. Lekkere bedden!

Rondom het hotel is er weinig te beleven, drukke straat, beetje ongezellig. De wandeling naar old town is Klein kwartier lopen, veilig maar zeer ongezellig langs drukke weg.

Everything was great, spacious room, the view is incredible..just the bathrooms need work, the shower wasn’t working properly and no hot water the second night.

Muito silencioso. Vista de mar espetacular . A suite onde ficamos era muito espaçosa e confortável. Pequeno almoço bom e variado.

A vidro de protecção da banheira devia ser completo.

Το κατάλυμα είναι σχετικά κοντά στην παλιά πόλη του Ρεθύμνου. Κάθε μέρα πηγαίναμε περπατώντας στην πόλη. Από το δωμάτιό μας βλέπαμε τη θάλασσα και το κάστρο. Το πρωινό είναι καλό. Κάθε μέρα είχε ένα διαφορετικό τύπο ομελέτας. Προσοχή λίγο στις μονάδες ψύξης, υπάρχουν σε δύο γωνίες στον χώρο του πρωινού, και δεν δημιουργούν μια ευχάριστη αισθηση δροσιάς αν είστε κοντά τους. Το προσωπικό, εκτός από τη διεύθυνση και μια κυρία στην υποδοχή με ξανθό μαλλί, ήταν ευγενικό και πρόθυμο να μας εξυπηρετήσει. Ο νεαρός στην υποδοχή μας έδωσε πολύ χρήσιμες πληροφορίες για την πόλη και την περιοχή του Ρεθύμνου Έίναι πολύ καθαρό

Ενώ στην περιγραφή γράφουν ότι έχουν καλωδιακή τηλεόραση, η τηλεόραση δεν συντονίζεται στα Ελληνικά κανάλια, εθνικής εμβέλειας, και έχει μόνο τα τοπικά κανάλια. Στο παράπονό μας, η διεύθυνση μας απάντησε ότι αυτό έχουν, και δεν μπορούν να κάνουν τίποτα περισσότερο. Ευτυχώς, διέθεταν μια smart τηλεόραση, και δέχτηκαν να μας αλλάξουν την τηλέοραση στο σαλόνι. Χρησιμοποιώντας το δικό μας Netflix λογαριασμό, μπορέσαμε να δούμε λιγη τηλεόραση το βράδυ. Το στρώμα είναι πολύ μαλακό, λόγω της εμπειρίας μας με την τηλεόραση δεν κάναμε παράπονο στη διεύθυνση για το στρώμα. Η στάθμευση είναι στο δρόμο, για μια ακόμη φορά, μας είπαν ότι αυτό έχουν, και τίποτα περισσότερο. Κάθε δωμάτιο διαθέτει κλιματιστικό. Έχει έντονο μπλε φως, οπότε θα χρειαστείτε μια μάσκα ύπνου. Ακόμη και στους 28oC, ο ύπνος δεν είναι ευχάριστος. Η πισίνα είναι στην πραγματικότητα μια στέρνα. Το μέγιστο βάθος της είναι στο 1.8μ, και δεν υπάρχουν ξαπλώστρες για όλο τον κόσμο. Το καλοσώρισμα ήταν ένα πιάτο με μερικά φρούτα, και ένα μικρό μπουκάλι κρασί! Το κατάλυμα βρίσκεται δίπλα σε σπίτια που διαθέτουν ψησταριά. Τουλάχιστον δύο φορές μας τσικνήσανε, και τη μια, η μυρωδιά ήταν απαίσια. Για μια ακόμη φορά, η διεύθυνση είπε ότι δεν μπορεί να κάνει κάτι για αυτό. Τουλάχιστον, τώρα, έψαξε να βρει την πηγή αυτής της μυρωδιάς, και πήγε στην κουζίνα του ξενοδοχείου.

Aamiainen oli erinomainen, runsaasti valinnanvaraa ja monet ruokalajit vaihtuivat päivittäin. Myös ravintolan ruoka oli hyvää ja palvelu ystävällistä. Auringonlaskun aikaan terassibaarista oli hienot näkymät. Huoneemme oli 404, jossa on iso parveke ja näkymä uima-altaalle, meri näkyi ja jopa aaltojen loiskinta kuului tuulisina päivinä. Liikenteen melua ei kuulunut, mutta etummaisen rakennuksen huoneistoihin melu varmaan kuuluu. Huone siivottiin päivittäin ja yleensä silloin kun olimme aamiaisella. Näin loppukaudesta uima-altaalla löytyi aina vapaita aurinkotuoleja ja varjoja. Spa-osasto oli pieni mutta viihtyisä ja hoidot hyviä.

Hotellissa ei oikeastaan ollut mitään, mistä en olisi pitänyt. Huoneen sijainti olisi toki parempi ylempänä, mutta ihan hyvä näinkin. Kylpyhuone pelkällä suihkulla olisi myös ollut meille hyvä, kukaan ei käyttänyt poreammetta, suihkun ottaminen ammeessa onnistui kuitenkin ihan hyvin, vettä tosin roiskui. Hotellissa on myös paljon portaita, jotka voivat tuottaa ongelmia. Itse kuljin kaikki portaat kävellen, myös bussipysäkiltä ylös rinteessä olevaan hotelliin. (Olen 80-vuotias).

Établissement très sympas et très propre, la chambre avez vue mer, les gens était très gentils petit déjeuner copieux et très bon. Nous sommes venu en septembre très facile de se garer dans la rue devant l’hôtel. 15 minutes à pied de la ville. Restaurant de l’hôtel avec une très jolie vue.

Petit déjeuner ouvre trop tard c’est dommage. Et le mobilier de la suite vieillissant.

Beautiful setting and our room on 8th floor had amazing views over the sea and of the forteza. The room itself was very spacious with a separate good size bedroom with plenty of storage and open plan living room/kitchen area. Kitchen was well equipped although a few more glasses would have been nice. The bathroom was also a good size , the only negative was the shower which was over the bath and it was difficult to contain the water which sprayed everywhere including the floor. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sun beds and a nice bar area as well as an evening bar with stunning views. The staff were great . Very helpful and the cleaning was done to a high standard. Approx 15 min walk into the old town . Path was quite narrow in places and road was busy but easy to get buses and taxis. There were quite a lot of steps to the hotel just to be aware

Très belle chambre (suite), spacieuse, au dernier étage. Terrasse avec vue sur mer 🌊 magnifique. Plateau de fruits, bouteilles de vin et eau offerts à l’arrivée. Réactivité du personnel d’entretien concernant le dysfonctionnement de la chasse d’eau.

3eme hôtel de notre séjour en Crête....petit déjeuner moyen comparé aux 2 autres. Moins de choix. Les aliments devant être chauds étaient tout juste tièdes voire froids, c’est bien dommage car cela gâche le plaisir. Par contre le pain etait tres bon. Absence de surveillance autour de la piscine ce qui permet des incivilités de la part des clients qui ne respectent pas les consignes données concernant la réservation des transats, les serviettes de bains non restituées, cannettes et autres bouteilles qui trainent.

We were provided a list of excursions available through a local tour operator. The front desk staff was helpful in booking the excursion and arranged a bagged meal to be left in our suite as pick-up times didn't allow us to use the breakfast buffet.

Wonderful spacious suite with beautiful terrace. Easy walk into town and to local supermarket. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Provided good quality packed breakfast as we were leaving very early on a day trip. Great restaurant terrace

Beautiful modern building 30 mins flat walk from the Old Town ( 7 euros taxi back) Lovely quiet pool area, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
