Die Lage war ausgezeichnet, da man direkt vor dem See ist. Die Altstadt ist nur ein paar Minuten entfernt. Das Frühstück ist tipptopp.

Scammed me on my credit card but they are not going to get away with it. Tried charging my credit card long after I had checked out. Argued at me about it and never issued an apology. These people are greedy and scammers. Please check your credit card statements carefully because they will wait weeks later to put more charges on your credit card.

We had a lovely stay for three nights. The location was quiet and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful at every interaction.

I highly recommend this lovely hotel. It is in a perfect location on the lake & not too far from the train station. It is in a historic building that is full of charm & character & beautifully decorated. There is a pool & sauna which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was exceptionally good. Lastly, the staff was extremely friendly & helpful.

We had a room on the 6th floor, overlooking the lake. the accommodation was excellent, in good order and well appointed. the complimentary mini bar and fruit, were a bonus.

We had a great time, we were upgraded for free and the room was huge with a beautiful view of the lake. We were able to check in to our room early and checkout was 12 which is rare. The staff helped us plan our day trips. Hotel is in a great location!

Our suite was very clean, comfortable and with an amazing view. Location was excellent. Our beds were very comfortable.

Breakfast. You can have everything, but after 40 minutes you order. Must remind them and ask if it's ready.

Vistas espectaculares. Buena ubicación; se puede ir andando a casi todo. Servicio muy amable, siempre atento a lo que se les solicita.

We had a lovely view of the lake from our 4th floor room which was spacious and comfortable with lots of storage and good bathroom with excellent shower. Plenty of room for us and our golden retriever. Initially we thought the position of the room was awkward for taking our dog out first and last thing but actually it was easy, especially with the lakeside position. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous.

The air conditioner in the room was a bit feeble, although to be fair there were record high temperatures while we were there. The buffet breakfast was good but it was the same price whether or not you had cooked food as well which made it extremely expensive if you didn’t want hot food which, given the heat wave, we did not. A two tier system that most other hotels have would be fairer i.e. a lower price for the buffet only.

Fantastisch! Ik reisde met mijn zoon voor zijn verjaardag. Wij hebben een upgrade van onze kamer gekregen. Een suite, nummer 306!De mooiste suite in deze hotel! Dat was een fantastische verrassing voor ons!

The connecting rooms were not connecting. Early check-in was not optional even for a fee. The fountains were broken. The fan in our room was broken.

I booked three rooms for one night and asked for an upgrade to lake view and they charged a very small fee! Rooms were amazing and huge! The front desk staff were so attentive and even escorted us to our rooms! It’s a gorgeous hotel! We needed the air conditioning due to the heat wave and the room didn’t disappoint! The charm of the hotel is outstanding!

We have had the pleasure to stay at a number of highly rated hotels, and I can safely say the Grand National Hotel ranks among the best. From check in to check out, the staff was very helpful and responsive to every request we had. The location is perfect, a short walk to the train and ferry stations. We highly recommend the hotel.

House-keeping took 2 things from room in error. Management were quick to pay compensation. Not obvious on website that not all rooms have A/C nor a shower

We have just had a couple of nights and were lucky enough to get a room upgrade to a stunning suite. The room, bathroom, balcony and view were absolutely wonderful. We did check out the swimming pool area, but it was terribly small so we didn't use it. However, UNFORTUNATELY, our stay was overshadowed by the most appalling breakfast service. On the first morning, we were ignored by staff so eventually just went in, found ourselves a table and helped ourselves to the buffet. A waitress finally took our coffee/tea order, but then nothing happened. By the time our drinks arrived (after we had reminded her twice), we had nearly finished our breakfast. On the second morning, we had hoped it was just bad luck on day one. No! It was EVEN WORSE on Day 2. There was a queue to get in to the breakfast room. Plenty of empty, clean tables. But staff just ignoring everyone who was waiting. That is not 5 Star service. When we were finally seated, we ordered coffee/tea as before. We went up to the buffet which had very little food left – I asked if they had any more fruit salad and I waited for it whilst my bread toasted in the ridiculously slow toaster. It never arrived and I gave up waiting. I sat down to eat my toast, still waiting for my coffee. We had ordered hot food this morning. The food arrived – but still no coffee or tea. We reminded the waitress. (Still no fruit salad topped up on the buffet). We finished our hot food and toast and this time asked a lovely waitress “Kim” for our drinks. She apologised profusely and went into the kitchen. Within moments she was back out with our drinks. We had been in the restaurant for about 30 minutes by now. 30 minutes of waiting for tea/coffee and, just as we left the restaurant, someone brought out some more fruit salad. RIDICULOUS. The hotel should be ashamed of its appalling breakfast service.

Well placed and very clean

We booked through Booking.com and did not see any mention of no air conditioning. For €550 a night I would expect air conditioning in my room,.When we arrived we could not use the valet parking because of the amount of cars already there and also a delivery truck. We parked our car our selves across the road and when we checked in informed the staff. We were told we would get the hotel rate for the car park and just to get our ticket validated when we checked out, upon checking out we were informed this was not correct and we would have to pay full for our parking.

Incredibly beautiful property in a great location right on the lake - not too far from the train station and the boat piers. Multiple restaurants on site for convenient meals. Spacious rooms. Lovely staff.

Great historic property in a perfect location with excellent pool and spa.

Petit déjeuner magistral. Tout était très bon. Très propre et bien entretenu. L'accueil à été très bon. L'intérieur est certes old School, néanmoins il est classe. Possibilité de recharger la voiture électrique. L'emplacement est top, avec un parking attribué.

Le spa est très restreint, la chambre était très rustique. Nous avions réservé pour l'anniversaire de ma compagne et cela a été spécifié lors de la réservation. Un petit mot en ce sens aurait été apprécié. Hors, il n'en était rien. Cela reste un super hôtel.

Arrival was superb, staff excellent. Matthias dealt with us. Great guy. Location is amazing. Really nice room and the bar is a nice place to chill. Easy walking along the lake into town. Nice vibe everywhere, we were only passing but wish we could have stayed longer.

If I'm being picky, the room was a bit warm but I just opened the window so no drama.

Excellent staff & service, good clean facilities, balcony excellent views, nothing too much trouble to ensure our comfort - thank you.

Whilst we recognise that Switzerland is expensive compared to the UK, the restaurant and bar at the hotel were completely overcharging compared to other really nice restaurants in the area. Yes we knew the price of items when ordering at the hotel restaurant, but what was served were very small portions at ridiculous prices. For example a small beer and a bottle of still water = 13CHF = £13, and 3 slices of unbuttered toast and a tin of sardines (served in the tin!) was 26CHF = approx £26. For that price we expected so much more.......... So, all in all 4 stars not 5.

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, keine Liebe fürs Detail, Auswahl und Qualität des Frühstückbuffets mangelhaft, unterbesetztes Personal (u.a. fehlender Supervisor). Erfüllt die Anforderungen an ein 5 Sterne Hotel nicht.

Ich habe meinen Geburtstag im National Luzern mit meinen Mann gefeiert. Das Hotel ist wunder schön. Das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Habe im Zimmer und beim Abendessen eine selbsgeschriebene Karte erhalten und ein Dessert. Das Essen im Restaurant war ausgezeichnet sowie das Frühstück und die Bar. Haben die Tea Time gebucht und diese war ebenfalls mit liebe zubereitet wie man es aus dem TV kennt. War ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt und würde nichts ändern. Vielen Danke dem ganzen Team im Hintergrund und an der Front.
